New Preorders part 1

Here are the Figures that I have preordered for July and August. I hope the customs will ignore most of the parcels, at least Seena and Momohime since they are the more expensive ones.

Review: Maryan – Changing Now version by Kotobukiya

Today I show you my review about this very cute and adorable magical girl figure.
She is called Maryan – Changing Now version which was manufactured by KOTOBUKIYA.
Her release date was in June 2005 but never caught my attention at that time, so I just bought her some weeks ago, when I saw her at Hobby Link Japan. She is from the popular Game/anime
To Heart 2 Another Days and this the illustratiom is the one which this figure is based on.

KOTOBUKIYA also made a fully clothed magical girl version of Maryan, but I prefered
the other version with less clothes ^^. As I said at the beginning of this post Maryan is manufactured by KOTOBUKIYA and she is scaled 1/8 her height is about 200mm.
She is fixed with her foot on the small pink colored base and has very stable stance even though she only stands on one leg. A semi transparent spiral is also attached to her base, you can also take the spiral off in case you don’t like it.
Her pose looks very energetic it’s like she’ll lift off into the clear blue sky every second; D
The magical girl concept of this figure looks really well done, especially all these small details, like the small heart badges at her bracelet, her hairclips, on her stockings and the gloves, also the frills of the stockings and gloves have some nice purple outlines. In the middle of her chest is as brooch from where some semi transparent ribbons are coming out. The figure also comes with an detailed wand that she can hold in her hand. These small details are nice and underlines the magical girl look of this figure.
This figure is sculpted very nice, there are no angles where she looks strange, as I said the sculptor put a lot attention and effort into the small details, the same goes for her body, Maryan is petite and has an attractive waistline. She also has a cute and sexy little butt which is complimented by her tight dress. The long legs are also very pretty. Her light pink hair fits the overall look , it has nicely sculpted strands and bangs and she has a side tail with a brown ribbon right on her head.

She’s called Changing Now version so she is wearing a white and shiny school swimsuit.
The pearl gloss and the detailed seamlines are nice and are adding an realistic look to it.
The face has a very cheerful expression, I love her sparkling green eyes as well as the blush marks and he4 friendly but also energetic expression of her open mouth with the small fang.
Final words
Maryan – Changing Now version is a very well made figure, as I ordered her I didn’t expect
that the figure would turn out that nice I am very happy that I’ve ordered her in the end.
She emits a cheerful charisma and every time I look at her it puts a big smile on my face.
The paintjob is done very good and the overall magical girllook is very fitting.
My only critique point is the spiral which looks a bit cheap at some points, but that’s ok.
Taking pictures of her was a lot of fun, the figure looks very good on a shelf or a desk.

Review: Hattori Hanzo by Alter

Today I will start with my very first figure review, it’s about my latest figure Hattori Hanzo.
Hattori was manufactured by ALTER and the release of this figure was in April 2010.
Back then I got her for around 8800 Yen. The figure is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 22 cm.
Her origin is the anime adaption Hyakka Ryoran which aired from September till December 2010
As I saw first pictures of Hattori Hanzo, I really wanted to get her and so I preordered her at HLJ.
The story takes place in Japan in the early 21st century, in an alternate reality
where the Tokugawa Shogunate has remained in power. In this reality,
student councils are tasked with oppressing schools. Yagyuu Muneakira
is a high school student who rebels against his student council with the help
of girls who’ve had the names of famous samurai heroes passed on to them.
