I apologize for the lack of posts recently, Im not dead, but gaming got the best of me, FFXIV just offers too much enjoyable escapism and I also want to finish the Little Busters VN soon.

Anyway reviewing figures like this particular one is also fun for me. I don’t know which kind of demon posessed me when I ordered this curvy darling some time ago, but I like her, actually.

Sayaka Yumi was manufactured by AmiAmi Zero, they are quite popular for very appealing bodysculpting. She was sculpted by Melting Neuron and released by the end of June this year. Her scale is 1/7 (28 cm in length), and comes with a  base and an alternate face expression.

The figures origin is the Shin Mazinger Zero Manga, it tells the Mazinger story in an alternative timeline,  it’s no pervy comic. Im the self declared “worst manga reader” I start  some, but never keep following them regularly. But I actually had a lot of fun with the eight chapters of Mazinger Zero, too bad it isn’t translated further. Sayaka Yumi is still Kouji Kabuto’s

girlfriend, but aside from that it’s a quite different story. I barely know what Sayaka Yumi is doing in her crazy plugsuit, but from my understanding this mechanical chair is something like a control panel for her personal mech called Artemis A. Yumi is actually not my favorite character, I got more attached to the adorable Cyborg Minerva  (o⌒．⌒o) please make a figure of her as well.

Back then, as I watched the first episode of Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-Hen I thought get lost with this weird crap, but as I’ve given it another try, it turned out rather rewarding, it was an awesome action anime with a nice nostalgic touch and something I would call epic.

This figures unusual and funky appearance  convinced me enough to place my order, even though it is quite naughty. I kind of assumed it, but as I learned that these tentacles really plug in, in the manga I felt a little bit bad for my purchase of Sayaka Yumi. This isn’t a way to display her, all that is left is the crude context. All of you know that I like all (actually not all) the ecchi figures but when they are borderline hentai, for example I could never buy a figure in an alluring pose and a bare vagina, like this pretty figure, I can’t buy them, even if apart of me would like to.

Hair & Face

Sayaka Yumi has straight brown hair with an hime cut haistyle at her bangs, the lumps of strands are wildly flowing around. The yellow cute hairband has a breeze of  the 70’s. As extra the figure has exchangeable faces, one neutral comfortable expression and a surprised kyahh face. Both have nicely sparkly eyes, but the neutral face doesn’t convince from every angle I have to say, the big mouth lacks some detail. The “kyahh” face is my favorite, the finer details on this expression look better and overall it’s more fitting considering the appearance of the figure.

As little accessoire the figure comes with a headgear that can be placed in one of her hands.

Outfit & Body

Now this is a plugsuit, don’t be fooled by other wannabe pilot suits, thats the real deal. Well, thats quite the outfit this figure has, Mazinger Zero is violent and isn’t shy of showing nudity.

The plugsuit is made of black strings that create the look of latex, they are all around her body and kept in place by brazen colored rivets. The string slightly dig in her flesh, underboob, sideboob isn’t the question anymore, her boobs are simply entangled by a single thin string, just her areolas are fully covered. The rest of her skimpy outfit consists of pretty black boots and heavy gloves. It’s actually a very good and clean paintjob on the figure, the contrast between matte and glossy texture is nice and there is no overpainting to be found.

Mazinger is rather old with a characterdesign that reminds one of manga from some decades ago, even the “new” Shin Mazinger Zero manga kept the visual style of creator Nagai, Go but with largely improved characterdesigns. Yumi is a lovely buxom heroine, she has not the proportions of your average japanese high school girl, but definetely very attractive.

The sculptor paid good attention to all of her voluptuous curves, it’s nice that AmiAmi zero pays attention to detailed bodysculpting on most of their figures, even with changing sculptors in charge it became one of their trademarks. She’s really an attractive one with her light level of chubbyness, meaty thighs, the nicely shaped boobs and the alluring pelvis these are the things that meets the eye. When flipped around you can not only her see bubble butt, but also the plugging connector of her private parts, not really necessary but it’s attention to detail.

Pose & Base

Sayaka Yumi’s pose is very much sexualized, sprawling around in skimpy clothes while lying halfway on her back doesn’t evoke many other ideas than that. It might appear as if she is abused in a non amicably way like in a generic hentai, but in context with the story it turns out a little different, as necessary in order to gaining more power when controlling Artemis A.

The perv factor aside, this is a really elaborate base, it has a futuristic design with a nice foot, detailed tubes and connectors. It looks cool how the tubes hold her in the air, the distance between figure and base creates an interesting illusion of a floating figure. The two frontal tubes with the ecchi tips can be either turned or taken off the sockets, not inserted.

Final Words

Yumi is a figure that I like a lot, she’s buxom, sexy and has an interesting base. I admit that she’s among my most daring figures, not in terms of nudity, but in terms of presentation she is.
Well, I even buy figures of cat eared maids that are licking milk from the floor with bare boobs, but for some reason AmiAmi Zero’s Yumi and her tentacle cockpit appear a little more lewd.

This figure is of course not everybody’s cup of tea, even though she appeared rather popular, since she was sold out before release and as far as I know Yumi didn’t hit the bargin bin.

Nevertheless from a neutral point of view the figure of Sayaka Yumi has a great quality, the sculpting and painting is especially well done. My only complain is, that one of the faces doesn’t look that nice, maybe they should have exchanged the neutral one with a serious expression. Fortunately two expressions are included and I can use the one I prefer.

I couldn’t find any review of her until now, at least I could give my opinion about her.
