Sometimes as figures collector it happens , that you will see a figure, you know you would actually like, but there might be reasons that prevent you from preodering. It’s not the first time I got my hands on a figure that was already released a few years later. The recent late purchase happened with this Super Sonico – Rock ‘n’ Roll Valentine version which was released in August 2014. Last year, I finallly had the right mindset to get this lovely figure ♡.

The figure was a colaboration of Wing and Sentinel. The sculptor Busujima Takamaki turned an official illustration by Tsuji Santa into a truly wonderful figure. Super Sonico – Rock ‘n’ Roll Valentine is a 1/6 scaled figure, with a height of 25 cm she has a good size and presence.

Super Sonico the easily flustered gravure Idol is very good for all kinds of merchandise, especially figures. After many Sonico figures have been made, we learned that the cute and buxom character can be portrayed as embarassed, flustered but also happy figure.

Wing and Sentinel decided to make their Rock ‘n’ Roll Valentine version happy and cheerful.

The figure has alternative face plates, there is a winking face and a face with both eyes opened, both are equally cute and appealing. The face shows beautifully painted eyes and blush. The opened mouth has a cute shape and upper frontal teeth, it’s a lovely face overall.

On her head Sonico wears her trademark headphones painted in a shiny metallic color, below is her beautiful and smooth, pastel pink hair, I always love her fluffy hairstyle, the strands in general are very elaborate, but also at the back they show a very detailed and dynamic flow.

Sonico wears a cute heavenly blue bikini with big polka dots. Her bikini is sculpted in a detailed way to have a stretched look at the corners of her top. The bottom part is very tight and digs into her skin. The top is made to be castoffable, arms and head come off to make the process easier, blue ribbons hide the detaching points. Sonico can hold a guitar, that is supposed to look like it is made of brown and white chocolate and already started melting.

As special feature the package also has differently sized adhesive and re usable chocolate splatter stickers, it’s a funny gimmick. You can decorate the figure like a little piglet ;D

Sonico has a nicely developed buxom body, the cuddly appearance is really sweet in this figure adaption, this cute little belly is quite charming. She also has nicely shaped and ample boobs, in just the right size for Sonico, some other figures of her don’t care about the official sizes and portray her with more than she should have. This Sonico figure here shows her with marvelous wide hips, another really prominent part are her her meaty and very womanly thighs, it looks so great!

Final Words

Wing and Sentinel created a without much exaggeration, a fantastic and also creative adaption of Super Sonico, the figure delivers everything I like about the girl, she looks extremely cute and cheerful. Since this is not my first Sonico the bar for another one was already quite high, what speaks for this figure is the great portrayal of Sonico’s attractively plump body. The face shows her positive, strong cheerfulness accentuated by a contagiously bright smile. I’m delighted that I added another very appealing Sonico to my figure collection.

Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- Yudachi Kai Ni

After Shigure Kai which was covered in a previous post on this blog, it didn’t took long for her “classmate” Yuudachi to be officially presented by GSC. The “Nightmare from the Salomons” looks absolutely stunning with her confident pose and expression ready for battle. Aside from looking cool with her detailed mechanical backpack , Yuudachi still shows lots of cuteness.

Natsu no Kemono – Chitose – Character’s Selection

manufacturer: Rocket Boy, Native – scale: 1/6 – release: june 2016

I couldn’t resist to place an order for this darling (⁄ ⁄^⁄ᗨ⁄^⁄ ⁄). She obviously has her naughty bits and details, but she also creates this sweet and romantic atmosphere around her. This lovely facial expression is just marvelous. I also love her soft skin look and her butt is terrific.

THE IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls – Riina Tada

manufacturer: ALTER – scale: 1/8 – release: august 2016

I ordered Idolmaster Cinderella Girls figures before the anime got popular, I honestly tried to ignore the anime when it aired. Recently I just watched both seasons and surprisingly my enjoyment was very, very high and many characters grow on me. Soon I started noticing the figure adaptions, too. The figure of Tadaa Rina is the first one that I find extremely appealing.

I liked the group of her and Miku a lot, there is also a Miku figure matching Riina’s visual style, but her priority is less high for me. Riina looks super cute and also will come with an e-guitar.

Strike Witches – Charlotte E. Yeager Bunny style

manufacturer: Aquamarine- scale: 1/8 – release: July 2016

Useless 10bit video releases prevented me from watching the latest Strike Witches animation, but whatever. The figure of Charlotte looks adorable with cap and bunny suit combination.

The friendly face, her ample busom and alternative hand options are nice, she has rather detailed fingers. Until Miette-chan reviewed a figure made by Aquamarine, I had no real opinion regarding their quality before, but apparently their latest figures are good quality.

Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- Akitsushima

manufacturer: Funny Knights – scale: 1/7 – release: june 2016

I’m not familiar with this relatively new ship from Kancolle, but damn I love her design. Akitsushima is a very cute girl with a lively personality. Her face is appealing as well; purple eyes and a pretty smile. The nicely designed uniform, but also her mechanical ship parts look cool and interesting. It’s also really cute how she carries the big plane around gently.

THE IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Kaede Takakagi

I like that this figure of Kaede has the appearance and charm of a real lady, a young lady ;D Oh my! her face and make up look so gorgeous. Her outfit might be simple from a certain standpoint, in my eyes it really got class and suits the attractive Kaede in a casual manner.

Super Sonico with Macaron Tower

manufacturer: Alphamax – scale: 1/7 – release: august 2016

That is a super adorable Sonico figure, a sweet face which shows her love for macarons ;D
She is wearing an extremely cute, nice pastel colored, frilly bikini. Also her curvy and buxom body appears to be nicely portrayed in this figure adaption. I already have a number of cute Sonico figures, so I rather feel like not getting this one.

Love Live! School Idol Festival – Nozomi Tojo

manufacturer: ALTER – scale: 1/7 – release: june 2016

I doubt that we will see a nicer figure adaption of Nozomi, ALTER makes stunning Love Live! School Idol Festival figure. Nozomi wears a spectacular and elaborately designed costume, it also ccompliments her womanly body. I’m not sure if the closed eye was a good design idea,, I would be happier with both of her pretty eyes opened.

Amagi Brilliant Park – Isuzu Sento

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata – Katou Megumi

I honestly didn’t notice her during the limited preorder time XD Hopefully I can find her after release.  The figure is very sweet, she has a lovely expression and also an alternative face.

Mahou Shoujo – Suzuhara Misae – Summer Sailor Uniform

manufacturer: Orca Toys – scale: 1/7 – release: february 2016

I’m not especially fond of characterdesign of Raita, I don’t like certain ssmall aspects of it. The figure was freshly released and owner pictures showed that Misae looks great ♡.

It’s probably hard to believe, but this actually is my last Super Sonico figure review for the time being, I have no more figures of her on Preorder. The only one I might consider to get in the future, at the moment is the attractive prototype from Kaitendoh.  What would be a better way to conclude this than with a big and cute figure of the now so popular anime culture Idol.

Orchid Seed did a great job with all their adaptions of the Sonico character, Wing, ALTER and Native put up a good competition in the past and recently, but I like their figures the most.

Orchid Seed also made this Super Sonico Cheer ★ Girl version, also known as Cheerleader version, it was released in early October 2014. The figure is scaled 1/6 with an overall height of 30 cm (with pompoms included) with her big head and buxom body, she looks quite big.

The figure was made by Tanaka Masanori  a rather active sculptor of Orchid Seed figures.
The Cheer ★ Girl is based on an illustration from Tsuji Santa, actually one of my favorite Super Sonico illustrations when it comes to amount of details and a cute facial expression.

There are several parts included, optional hands and soft loose socks parts and also a cast off option, so you have different ways to display her. The top opens at the backside, the skirt opens at the side.You can take off the head, but the figure doesn’t separate at the waist.

Sonico always has the same headphones, but Orchid Seed did a good job in letting it look detailed and convincing, she also has her usual shoulder long hairstyle. On this figure though, there are few changes, small strands flowing around her main hair part like tentacles, the different sizes and movements make her hair really interesting, the fringe is hanging deeply over eyes that gives Sonico a rather wild touch.

This Sonico figure has a cute face with really big, lively eyes, her eyes actually aren’t pink, they remind me more of a thin layer balsamic vinegar. At such a size it is to be expected that the facial details get more attention, nevertheless the details like eyelashes look great on her. Sonico has little pointy nose and a deeply engraved mouth with upper front teeth line.

The happy expressions gives her a youthful and cheerful appeal, I really love how she looks.

Her outfit is the classic cheerleader costume known through American sports. Her outfit is a skimpy type of shirt which consist of blue and white colors, her collar has a nice, thin red stripe. The shirt is closed with a big knot, it keeps Sonico’s treasures in place, when she jumps around like that. Her navy blue and white skirt has a very pretty design and good details.

For another sporty option, you can choose to display Sonico with hands or with pompoms. The yellow things look good and give the figure a color boost. The hands have  detailed fingers with painted nails, the detaching points are hidden by the wrist decorations of each hand.

With Sonico making a jump into midair the figure is a really dynamic one, flowing strands, flowing pompoms and bouncing boobs, make her look very energetic and cheerful.

Sonico is a beautiful cheerleader girl, her nice long legs have muscular thighs and also her stomach looks very well trained. She’s not as chubby as recent figures of her. It makes sense, since you can’t be a Cheerleader without physical fitness and stamina, during her workout  Sonico lost a few of her cute pounds. Still Sonico shows an overall excellent sculpted body.

The girl is wearing fancy pantsu with several lines of detailed frills and lovely laces at the outside, it a really cute design. She also has nice looking white sport shoes, you can either display her with her socks or use the soft loose socks, which are simple to de- and attach.

The pose portrays the figure during the ending phase of a little jump, her skirt and the pompoms are lifted up and face upwards. It is really sweet and funny how Sonico’s boobs are bouncing around in midair. Even without her top they still look convincing in shape and size.

The figure has a nice pair of breasts with slightly elevated rosebuds, which are painted slightly darker, I really like the color that has been used. While a few figures of her show her with larger breast, this Cheer Girl version is true to her size as she was introduced as character.

Final Words

Orchid Seed managed to create another high quality big scale figure of the Super Sonico character. there were already a number of great Sonico figures made by them. There was Super Sonico as flustered Rockstar, dilligent nurse and contemplative bikini model.

In this adaption Sonico was portrayed as sporty, buxom cheerleader with a dynamic pose and a super happy smile. It is a really cute figure with a lively atmosphere. The 1/6 scale suits her nicely, her body looks fantastic with all the details of her sculpt and she has beautiful boobs.

The final figure shows a commendable quality, everything is smooth with no edges or obvious seam lines with two metal pegs and reinforced base she stands pretty solid on one leg.

Hello, this review will be a little different than usual, the figure is so special to me, that I felt like writing a little story additional the usual review routine. I’m not lying when I say that it was my most anticipated figure of 2013, she was announced around 1 Year ago and without further delay she was released in December.

Sonico PKG (Package) verson is based on an illustration by Tsuji Santa, which was printed on the manual of the Sonicomi – communication with Sonico PC Game. The figure was made by Orchid Seed, they already have a history with Sonico figures, in my opinion they made the best Sonico figures so far and this is no exception.  This figure was made by Ishiyama Satoshi, a talented sculptor, who already made made a large number of busty beauties for Orchid Seed.

Sonico PKG ver. is scaled 1/5 and has a height of  33 cm, I have no figure that is bigger than her.

 Hair & Face

Sonico has her usual hairstyle, shoulder long at the front, at the back it ends a bit above her butt. The strands in front rest on her chest without a gap. The hair is painted in a bright pink color with darker pink highlights. It is nicely sculpted with many single strands, aside from a few uneven spots you can only notice on very close inspection it is rather smooth. The seamline on top is hidden by her trademark, the silver headphones, these are very detailed and have a convincing metallic look.

What I really like about this certain Sonico is her different face expression, it’s not the usual happy or flustered expression, it’s somewhat neutral, but there is a kinda strong atmosphere it emits, like she’s lost in thought while taking a look at the surrounding or calmly walking along the beach. The face is sculpted very well with details like a cute nose and big expressive eyes, there is a faint blush on her cheeks with the slightly open mouth the whole face appears a little more realistic than other anime related figures.

 Outfit & Body

Sonico is obviously a buxom beauty with a really attractive body, she has a nice pair of big boobs, they are very well sculpted in a teardrop like shape, the slight sag gives them a feel of weight and a idea of gravity. The skimpy bikini top covers her chest tightly and there is a certain tension on the thin garters. The figure has a rather big round butt, her buttocks appear  beefy as if they were made of concrete and the bikini pants don’t really have a chance to cover her skin.

Sonico is popular for having a bit more meat around her bones, her broad hips are so damn hot. The figure is supported by her strong thighs compared to that, her belly is rather free of fat and her hip bones are still visible in this figure adaption, a deeper engraved bellybutton would have made the sculpting perfect for me. I think it’s an awesome sculptur nevertheless.

Sonico’s outfit is quite unique a bikini with star patterned stockings and boots.I really love the heavy boots, colored in petrol, it is a elaborate design and the white bootlaces look convincing.

The white bikini has nice shading effects and a detailed sculpting with wrinkles and stuff.

The figure ist castoffable, first you have to take off the head, then the ribbon in the middle at her back, after that you disconnect the straps. The bikini is flexible enough, don’t be scared to break it in the cast off process. It’s a good solution, the top has a tight fit and isn’t bulky at all.

As to be expected by a figure sculpted by Ishiyama Satoshi, Sonico has beautiful breasts the elevated areola area and detailed nipples give them the final touch, I like this angle.

7:00 Cameraman san takes a blurry look at his clock

“Oh I have to hurry, I must pick up Sonico at 7:45 and take her to the studio, we have a shooting” “Arghh! I’m short on time, breakfast or shower?” mumbled Cameraman san to himself while he was rubbing his eyes. He decided to take a shower “this guy is terribly energetic today I have no time for that now… get down” demanded Camera san as he was looking down his feet in a frustrated manner.

7:25 Cameraman san is fresh and fully dressed ready to leave the house any Second. He grabs his keys and starts the motor of his 200 SX, “it will be a sunny day”, he thought as he was driving further.

7:26 As fan of cheesy Jpop music her turned on his current favorite and started singing along “Hime,Hime, hime hime hime”

7:32 He arrives on Sonico’s appartment and checked his outer appearance “passed” he said in a sharp short breath. Sonico was already outside and noticed him, with a cheerful waving gesture she quickly approached the car, he inspeced her outfit from a distance, she was wearing a sand colored jacket over a dark blue dress with white polkadots, long enough to cover her knees.

7:37 Sonico takes a look through the opened sidewindow and made a cute salute pose torwards Cameraman san. He could barely suppress his stupid smile after being greeted from lovely girl like her, after he regained his cool, he said “jump in young lady”. Sonico nodded and took her seat. “Good morning” she said calmy. “Hi Sonico we will work together again this week, it’s always a pleasure” “Yeah” said the pink haired girl as her cheeks slowly turned red. “Today it is for the big shoe Company” she added in a fast spoken sentence. “speaking of that the outfit, that our client chose is a little eccentric, but  don’t worry you should look good in it anyway” he said in order to comfort the girl next to him.
“Hahaha” Sonico burst out in laughter, “it can’t be worse than the cow costume last time, you know Suzu made fun of me the whole week”, complained Sonico with a bitter smile.

7:44 Cameraman san and Sonico arrived near the studio’s location. “You don’t have to be nervous, I’m here for you.” he said as he was touching her shoulder. There was weird silence inside the car. “Don’t worry about Sonico, I’m stronger than it might appear” she said in a very gentlle voice” while she lowered her head, Sonico carefully held out her small hand into Cameraman sans direction and formed it into a fist, he understood the idea of the girl and calmly met Sonico’s fist with his. “Thank you” said the girl softly, with a bright smile.

“Let me see the outfit please” she demanded friendly but authoritative. “Sure” he hesitantly handed over the large bag, sweat was appearing at his forehead “they said you can keep the boots, if you like”, he added, as Sonico impatiently grabbed the suspicious container and opened it.

“WHAAAT!?” a loud voice from a pink haired demon like creature shook the car, “I will wear only this, they can’t be serious” “I’LL KILL YOU!”

Final Words

There are still some pictures left below, but it is really time to sum up my impression about this figure. Orchid Seed delivered an excellent figure of Sonico with top notch quality, I didn’t stumble upon any seam line at her body. The body sculpting is very smooth and detailed thank you Ishiyama Satoshi for making her such a stunning beauty. With her standing straight, you can enjoy all her buxom glory, it is a calm but at the same time expressive pose. The most important part of a figure is always the face and even here the Sonico PKG convinces with waving flags, the deep eyes, the nose and the mouth make her a really adorable Sonico.

How does this Sonico PKG figure rank in comparison with my other Sonico figures? I would say it’s slightly ahead of the nice Sonico – Bath Time figure from Native, her butt and boobs looks far better and she’s standing up, what I prefer. But she is a little behind the Sonico – Bondage version (black) this is still the best Sonico figure, her stylish outfit, the sex appeal, also the whole atmosphere she emits and many different cast off options make her my number one.
