Today I will show you Nisei Muramasa, another belated review, but it’s a figure worth to look at. I don’t know what is going on with me this year, but the posting pace can only become better at this point.
This figure of Nisei Muramasa was manufactured by Wing, it has been released in February 2021.The character is based on Soukou Akki Muramasa, a VN which features mecha and dark fantasy elements, it was released on October 30, 2009 and had it’s 10th anniversary was celebrated not long ago.
In July this year JAST USA announced a english version of Soukou Akki Muramasa to be released.
Even though I literally know nothing about this VN, except that it’s really edgy and grim. I would nevertheless be happy to see more of the gorgeous female characters turned into figures, the distinctive style from Namaniku ATK is just so good. I already have three figures based on Soukou Akki Muramasa , Sansei Muramasa, Ashikaga Chachamaru and Nisei Muramasa.
Believe it or not Nisei is really the mother of everyones favorite dark elf, Sansei Muramasa. I would say it’s obvious that both are related, Sansei looks like the mother type, though. Considering that the game is already pretty odd, we should not think too much about the young appearance of mama Muramasa.
The figure is scaled 1/7 and measures 24 cm in height. her outfit follows a traditional design, it reminds me of Samurai Girls. The legs are long and the skirt very short. The figure follows a sexy direction, but the change of facial expression really does the change, the figure comes with an alternative faceplate, a very expressive facial expression, while the standard expression is stoic and pretty. The other expression is more like Nagatoro (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san), flirty, hot and fierce.
Nisei Muramasa has a cast off feature, as second display option you can turn Nisei into a bikini lady or even topless when you feel like it. I actually prefer the black bikini, but I also think that the dressed option is great.
The hairstyle is a pretty bob, painted in metallic cream white color, it features a deep hanging fringe and many pointy strands of hair, the broad, black bandana is really cool. As I already mentioned the figure’s face is pretty, the sexy expression is especially nice, this arrogant smile and slanted eyes, like Nagatoro. I actually totally fell for Nagatoro from the Ijiranaide Nagatoro-san anime, putting episode 1 aside.
Is it a coincidence that both characters have dark skin, or atleast darker then the average japanese person? Anyway, I’ve noticed that often times, together with other changes, the skin tone of a figure is a little different then the base illustration, and I think that might be the case here. The figure seems to be slightly lighter in tone then the CG’s from the game… but I’ve seen some different versions of Nisei in 2D form, with different skin tones, so I don’t know which was the original version from the game.
Whatever expression you choose, the amber colored eyes of this figure are really beautiful.
The figures default outfit is this striking red yukata spiced up with samurai like design elements, the tight hugging top part looks good, the breasts underneath look really nice, the little details like the stitches around her collar, make the outfit very interesting.
I also like the square patterned lower part of her dress from the back view it scarcely covers her buttocks. The orange ribbon around her waist is cute and feminine, it’s also very nicely sculpted, it resembles wings from an insect, her base also shows an insect. As friend of flora and fauna I should actually know what species that is, but unfortunately I don’t. wasp? ant? I’m also a fan of the stunning battle gloves, well she looks like she totally could kick some ass.
This figures looks like a sporty woman, she is skinny, but with well defined muscles, is someone of you familiar with Non Non Summerjack? yeah she is as trained as her.
Nisei has very long legs. Compared to her daughter she has smaller
, although nicely shaped boobs and a small butt, generally I prefer more of both but I make an exception from time to time. Nisei Muramasa simply looks stunning, especially in her bikini outfit.
While the figures sculpt is extremely nice, there are some overpainting issues and the figure is less well made than one would expect nowadays. I had to use some lightroom magic to take care of grey paint spots, scratches and most of the paint damages at her orange parts. I was a little disappointed that this great sculpting project is handled like this in the factory and comes out with a number of imperfections.
But Overall this stuff doesn’t dwarf the creation of sculptor Eriko, this Nisei Muramasa is a great figure which looks are featuring the handwriting of the talented Namaniku ATK. The two faceplates, striking outfits and fantastic sculpting make this figure something special and interesting.

Another incredible review (^-^)/ This actually frustrates me as I kept on passing on her (since I’m not really familiar with her source material) so now that I see her in her full glory – I’m kind of sad for not purchasing her when I had the opportunity. Need to check if the regular sites still caryy her (-_-); The display options are great!! Both faces turned out great and I’m in love with her sadistic sort-of smile x3 fufufufu <3 Also, would have never guessed Nisei is the mom in the game, I get 0 vibes for this from the figure or the art I have seen online so there you go, I guess. Regardless! It's a really lovely review and I would say it does great justice to this figure (*-*)/ Thank you for sharing!

I know that feeling very well, I have a list regrettable missed purchases of figures, that is the risk in a collecting hobby.
On the other hand I can’t buy every figure I like. The sadistic face is probably the best, but I like the other one also a lot with the beautiful eyes.
I honestly had no idea that she was in the VN lol, a english version of it should come out soon. I’m happy to hear that you like the review, I really love taking pictures but writing is something I consider as my weakness 😀

How many anime figures are released in a year? 200? Probably more. Plus all the western figures. Plus ones from other asian countries like Korea. Don’t worry, we buy what we can. I myself have an ever growing list of figures I would like to buy in future years, but I’ll probably never be able to afford them. Atleast we have reviews like this on the net.

Lol I wonder, on the japanese market 800 would be realistic, prize figures included.
In the first years of my collecting years it was easy to keep a certain overview, since much less have been made.
Nowadays it’s nearly impossible, but fortunately I’m picky and know that I can’t have everything.
