Today, I will show you a figure from some time ago, Kongiku from the Oboro Muramasa video game. ALTER released her inΒ May 2013 as 1/8 scaled figure, earlier in 2013 they released Momohime the main heroine of the game. She turned out as very popular and I was among the many people that ordered her. I reviewed Momohime and liked her so much that I also dedicated a 2nd post to her. Strangely I didn’t have much interest in Kongiku at first.
Some weeks ago, I was looking at Pinkcheeks facebook page and saw a few amazing pictures of this particular figure, I asked myself if I shouldn’t have this figure in the first place, since the figure has certain attributes I like on figures, back in 2013 I wasn’t that convinced to buy her.
That was a bad decision from a financial point of view as well, not only because I missed a beautiful figure. Anyway I wanted to have this figure, so I paid the less nice aftermarket price.
I hardly know anything about the character of Kongiku, but she is a fox deity and a supporting character in the game. She has a striking character design and stands out as figure as well.
Lets start at the top of her, she has light grey hair with an pretty yet eccentric style, her fox ears are long and furry, the leaf on top is a nice, slightly funny detail ^^
There is a great gaze coming from her quite detailed face, the observing amber colored eyes are meant to be pointed torwards the viewer. With her gaze turned into a left direction, Kongiku is a really interesting figure with an elegant deity attitude. Details like jagged eyelashes, modest blush on her bright skin and beautiful lips give her a distinctive style.
The fox lady is wearing an orange kimono, it tightly hugs her appealing curves and shows the figures feminine appeal. The kimono shows autumm color and a vivid leaf pattern. The so called obi (sash) creates a pretty ribbon on the backside. The amount of detail and inner color gives the kimono a beautiful and convincing appearance. It’s tight around most of her body.
Around the collar it’s quite loose, revealing her neck and most of her upper body. The fragile appearance of her collarbones is incredibly sexy, I rarely seen them as pretty as on this figure.
Even with her mighty cleavage the Kongiku lady has the elegance and dignity of a fox deity.
Kongiku is a mature character with an attractive body, the complimentary tightness of her outfit lets the viewer imagine all of her sweet areas. Compared to her hips the size of her boobs isn’t really that exxagerated in my humble opinion. Her fairly sized bosom is accentuated by her arched back pose, it creates an uncommon look with her boobs in this high position. Friends of busty anime characters might be overjoyed by this beautiful lady ;D
While I have some buxom figures in my collection and on preorder, I’m actually not that fixated on an impressive rack, small or big, for me both can be something attractive.
Kongiku has nicely articulated hand and fingers, she is meant to hold the lantern hook and supporting the lantern from below. When the lantern hook is placed correctly, the lantern sits safely and won’t fall off easily.
The figure comes with special gimmick, a cute lantern, which can even light up, to my surprise ALTER included no batteries, good that it’s no rare and expensive type.Β I rarely use long time exposure, so you can’t really judge the lanterns brightness, but it’s a decent light feature, in a nice bright blue color. Tuning the light on and off is a little annoying, but it works.
Final Words
Kongiku is a stunning, beautiful figure with a strong presence and very appealing appearance. The face is simply beautiful with it’s details and lively expression. This figure shows a fitting elegant and composed attitude. HerΒ erotic attributes have a tasteful level of sex appeal.
The diorama mini base with lots of details is definetely another plus about the Kongiku figure.
Actually this figure is quite close to something I would call perfect figure adaption, appearance, pose and quality are great. What could have been better are the black parts of her lantern, I’m missing some nice texture on it, instead of shiny plastic. On the good side they implemented a working light feature. Overall with Kongiku I received something very nice.
I had a lot of fun with taking pictures of this figure, so I’m also surprised to have made some quite nice pictures, actually I wasn’t sure about the combination of props and struggled a bit with setting up this quite large setup, but I was more worried than necessary π

Hahaha maybe you can turn her into your night lamp if the LED is bright enough. GDI, I love the sculpt on her fur and her hair, totally Alter quality!
Love 003 and 036 desaturated filter look!

Lol, that would probably work, but it will most likely fall off when searching the switch at night.
I try not to change the pictures too much from the camera, but since I played with some photoshop actions these days I tried and added a few tricks.
Aya
Kongiku a very nice portrayal of fox-woman π for her mature looks somehow I feel her face expression need to be more seducing XD , and quite funny they adding LED in the lantern but that’s a creative gimmick π
wieselhead
Ah sorry Aya, I forgot to reply ;D
Lol, so she should look more like a maneater ^^ But I guess the way she is, she emits the elegant spirit of a nice fox deity.
Yes, I would like more such gimmick, even though it won’t work with every figure.
Aya
ManEater exactly XD you put the right word for what I wish how this fox woman will looks π mature seducing face to attract a man lust and finally his souls XD
Nopy
I actually remember seeing this figure a while back. It does have a nice body shape to it, but I just can’t bring myself to like the hair or tail. I don’t know if the character is supposed to be like that, but they just look really flat/plain if you know what I mean.
wieselhead
Oh Nopy, your back in action π
I couldn’t resist to get her in this year.
Well, it’s adapted from the Game, so it can’t be helped.
The color is a little plain, but I can’t say, that I find it particulary unapealing ^^
Even though I thing, I wold have also liked her without animal parts.
