I still didn’t figure out how to create appealing content in a way so that people would like it. Not posting anything at all was actually also not a good way to deal with the situation. So for me, creating this kind of content really became a little unrewarding, compared to my other hobbies aquarium and Games.

I feel sorry for the person who created this blog around twelve years ago, where is all the motivation now? I regret neglecting this blog for nearly the past two years for unnecessary reasons and personal doubts.

When I”m in hyperfocus mode I actually am able to write an review post in under 3 hours, I will try to write reviews with less text in 2025 so I will not waste my and your time with a wall of text accompanied 30+ pictures anymore.

Instagram and Facebook ruined the blogsphere, it’s easier to consume media that way and also easier to create content that way. I tried to go with the times and used those platforms, but they are completely unsatisfying nowadays, the algorithm is everything and when you get shadowbanned you have just another problem up your butt.

So at least I could do a bit of figure photography in the past 12 months.

I actually took hundreds of pictures of my dolls, as well this year, but for some reason didn’t upload them very regular anywhere. I guess I should post these sets in 2021, would be a shame not to do so.
The biggest expenses in the doll category were a new Dollfie head from Aoko Aozaki, she is so pretty  and a new MDD Mochi-Ashi Base body which is really sweet. I will show you in detail next year

2020 might have been a not so great year for all of us, I will start 2021 with a boost of motivation, at least more motivated than in the past 2 months. I actually noticed that I did more productive things than I remember, it wasn’t just a bad year apparently as the media wants to make us believe.

One more drastic change for me was the discover the aquarium and aquascaping again, as young boy I had an aquarium for some years, it was a really plain tank, so after some time I lost interest. Lockdown and Corona blues made me think of starting with an aquarium again. At first I only wanted to have a small tank with plants and dwarf shrimps, but that quickly turned into a 120 litre tank with plants, dwarf shrimp and mini fish. It’s is a super interesting topic for me, there is so much to learn and you can get creative with the tanks interior and fishes. Have you also discovered some new hobby this year?

I started reading anime figure related blogs around 2008, blogs like Happysoda and Tentaclearmada showed me the appeal of bishoujo figures and ambitious figure photography, I slowly began with collecting my own figures.

On May 13th 2010 my blog went on air, a tiny spark lead me to opening my own blog about anime and bishoujo figures from Japan. A small village boy from Germany going out to take part in a worldwide community. In the early years I met many awesome fellow reviewers and skilled photographers and really had a great time to interact with them.

My first few reviews weren’t especially great with my cute english for example, my pictures also weren’t always great, back in the day it wasn’t necessary to have perfect pictures, people could see the figures as they are and talk about it. 

Nevertheless my english improved and so did my photography skills and in these 10 years I posted 181 figure reviews.

Not many stayed active as figure bloggers and that honestly left me heartbroken at first, somehow I gathered enough motivation to keep going, and a few fellow bloggers became very dear friends to me.

Facebook unfortunately lead to the decline of blogs in general, Recently I also made a page on facebook, to get noticed and also to stay in touch with fellow figure collectors. I still run my blog on a regular basis, although I’m not as passionate as I used to be, but I still love figures and Wieselhead.de is my baby, that I won’t abbandon.

I’ve bought figures from a variety of companies and I’m really happy about the figures I’ve purchased 2017, they look beautiful, nicely made and have a great quality, there were only 2 figures where I would have decided differently today.

Yeah, I know that wordpress blogs became rather old fashioned, I don’t feel like abandoning my “baby” anytime soon though. I recently got more active on Instagram, it’s a great community there. I also tried to regulary post on facebook, I still feel like doing something wrong with the settings, but my regular followers don’t seem to mind.

Danua

a lovely figure from Kotobukiya, cute and a little spooky Danua and her two friends have been nicely adapted from Granblue Fantasy. shortly after I started to play the game, have I mentioned how much I like that game?

Pin Up Girl

A nice illustration based bikini figure with a pretty body, greatly articulated pose and smooth tanline applications. unfortunately the face did not turn out as nice as I had expected. Anyway it was nice that I could create one of my beloved fake beach setups again to match the figures atmosphere.

Koizumi Hanayo

Probably one of my more affordable figures in 2017, nevertheless she turned out beautiful. I really like my cute Hanayo in her pretty highschool uniform, it’s an enchanting figure with attractive legs and I really appreciate the glasses.

Succubus-san

The chubby Succubus lady is so cute, with her sweet expression and well endowed bust she is very sexy. The perfectly sculpted body and the soft womanly curves are quite stunning, alltogether it is a beautiful figure made by Rocket Boy. The figures “Halloween costume” has nice colors and the two pumpkin friends are a funny addition.

Yuudachi Kai Ni

Yuudachi was an awesome figure this year, in my opinion she is the more dynamic Kancolle figure with her cool pose and fire effects it’s a quite impressive sight. The figure itself has a pretty uniform and esembles the character perfectly, armaments and machine parts of her also look great.

Super Sonico ~ nuresuke satsueikai

Of course there are appealing figures of Sonico every year, this figure though portrays the Sonico character a bit differently without exxagerated proportions, nevertheless Sonico is a beautiful girl with great looking boobs. Her flustered expression is really cute and since this figure is a big one it has a good presence.

Super Sonico – racing version

Here is the regular Tsuji Santa design Sonico in all her buxom glory. I liked that Sonico cosplays racing Miku in an outfit that doesn’t really fit on the other hand the tight fit is really sexy, her butt is nicely big and round and is sticking out. Sonico doesn’t feel ashamed about it at all and her already extremely cute face is decorated with a happy smile.

Takigawa Kotori

Kotori is probably the cutest scantily clad maid figure ever ^^ Her detailed face with the green eyes is beautiful. She has short legs and an attractive well defined body, her booty is super sexy, too.

Kasugano Sora

Kyahh, Sora! The figure was a really good purchase, in her bunny dress the figure looks super attractive, together with the slender body and flirty pose

Ami

Ami was my most daring figure this year with exposed boobs and crotch. I liked the naughty maid concept, but it’s a bit borderline. When I ordered the figure I expected something bigger, but the figure was actually 1/8 scaled, which was slightly dissapointing for me.

Suma Maya

Woah! Suma really was one of the best figures I’ve purchased this year, a really gorgeous and also big figure with amazing body sculpting and beautiful face. Her costume is also nicely designed and sexy.

Sonoda Umi

In the first place I’ve ordered this figure because of her stunning design and enchanting outfit. With this figure Alter created a wonderful adaption of Sonoda Umi. I was convinced that I never really liked Umi, but this figure made me rewatch Love Live and Umi actually was a great character. For this pretty figure I also created a tropical stage setup.

Slingshot Swimwear Girl

My second Rocket Boy figure in this year, I like a lot of their recently chosen design adaptions when they are not too hentai ish. On this figure I like the contrast between the face of well nurtured girl and bombshell body dressed in a scandalous outfit. It’s a beautiful figure with lovely hair and playfully sexy pose.

Saber – Type Moon racing version

Have you also noticed that the Saber character became quite cute since 1 or 2 years? The Type Moon racing version is a good example for this and this figure is adorable with her lively  pose and cute face. Her shiny outfit is really cool.

Kirari – Dekacchu – Lovely Princess ver

I really like Kirari and I liked the surprisingly oddly styled figure adaption of her, the Dekacchu version is cute and funny.

I’ve tried my best to make each figure look even more beautiful in my pictures accompanied by hopefully entertaining reviews, I hope that I will see you all around in 2018 again. I will receive a number of nice figures in 2018, too.

Hello everyone, Kai of Deluscar here. I’m here to talk about impulse buying, something I’m sure most of you figure collectors are pretty familiar with.

Impulse buying, I mean come on, everyone’s done it in one way or the other. Sometimes you see something you like but probably don’t really need. But it just looks so aesthetically-pleasing, and it seems to be made in such high quality in closer inspection. Finally, the decent price for such a high-quality item sealed the deal for you, and thus, you take out your wallet and the deed is done — only to regret it (or not) some time later. This apply to just any kinds of items, but especially true in figures. The “buy first, think later” is an especially popular mindset behind figure collectors.

The Shinkai Shoujo Miku figure. One of the most aesthetically-pleasing Miku figure I ever came across — and my dream figure which I will never get.

While figures can be expensive, for one thing, figures rely heavily on aesthetics to attract customers, and I’ll be damned if some of these figures don’t look good. There are quite a lot of good figure companies like Good Smile Company, ALTER and so on that just so effortlessly came up with countless good figures. Each and every single figure they made are so intricate and detailed. Furthermore, types of figures like nendoroids and figmas help bolstering expressions too instead of -only- just aesthetics, with the ability of changing different faces and body parts. As far as anime decorative stuffs, they are arguably the best.

Because of that, impulse buying is a very common urge for figures collectors. Though it may sounds weird for me to say this now after everything I said, but I don’t really have much of this problem. I think it may has to do with the fact that I have always seen myself as more of a casual collector. If anything, I’m good at “limiting” myself, and my mind quite naturally adapted to a personal policy whenever I’m buying figures.

For one thing, buying figures for me is an emotional investment to a series and characters I like. That means I will only buy figures of characters I actually recognize and like, and figures of characters from shows I don’t know and even figures of original characters are something I wouldn’t spend hundreds of dollars on no matter how good they look.

Of course, my ideal room would be that it has to be neat and have a decent amount of figures on display. I don’t want to buy so many figures to the point that figure boxes would be sprawled all around as if my room just got struck with a tornado. All my figure boxes are packed up nicely in my cupboard, and the figures that I want to display are done so in a glass cabinet. I’m running out of space though. My room’s pretty small to begin with and while I would love to buy another glass cabinet, there’s just no space anymore. I can just toss my figures and boxes haphazardly around the room, but aforementioned, I don’t really like that.

I know some people also adapted a constant buy-and-sell cycle, so that they can make new space for more figures. Not something I personally want to do, like I said, buying figures to me is an investment to the series, an investment to the characters — a form of fandom engagement. Furthermore, my figures are my sweat, tears and blood… and also money and empty room spaces (yes, my room spaces are important). So I’m not selling them anytime soon.

It’s an odd mindset, but I’m glad I have it-at the very least, it’s great for controlling my impulse buying. Though when all the pieces fall into place, and there’s a figure of a character I really, really like, I still fall into the pitfall of impulse buying — as it was the case with my latest Miku figure (because come on, it’s fucking Miku!).

At the end of the day, all I want to say — consumerism is a bitch. If you’re a victim of impulse buying as well, especially of figures, what do you do to control it?

Hi folks, recently it was anniversary of my blog, indeed another year passed. The idea of Wieselhead.de was born 2010 and it went online on May 15th. I really run this since six years. In the last 12 months I’ve reviewed 16 figures, apparently I like my variety of swimsuit figures.

I simply write reviews about my recently purchased figures, wieselhead.de is my baby and taking pictures, writing text, in the end adding another review fills me with joy and also pride.

What I really noticed this year is that I managed writing and structuring reviews much faster.

Staying active and dedicate your freetime to something for such a long period is a positive thing, still with more and more figure blogs shutting down activity, I start to feel lonely, I can count the number of remaining and active blogs with two hands, it was so lively back then.

My activity decreased a little since some time as well. I simply ordered less figures compared to previous years. Partially of lacking interesting material, insanely high prices also play a big role. An additional reason is that my interest shifted more in the doll territory.

Yeah the dolls, a few people are upset about Dollfie Dream and the likes. but I really began to like this hobby a lot. In the first place I started with fashion dolls for photography reasons. I’m still a rookie at dollphotography, it’s really difficult to get everything right. But that also makes it very interesting because it’s a real challenge where I can slowly learn to improve. Also just taking care of pretty fashion dollls and spoiling them with new stuff is surprisingly fun as well.

Taking care of my now 3 Dolls , Lady Mirai (SmartDoll), Rio (DDS) and Chiyoda (DDdy) distracts my usual worries about the blogsphere. I’m feeling less bitter about certain things now.

The stats of Wieselhead.de stayed as they always were, which is actually hilarious. I really suck at advertising my content, it always made me feel strangely uncomfortable. Which is not beneficial for a ambitious hobby photographer in times of omnipresent social media. I will never win a popularity award, but actually I feel confident in my figure photography.

I still appreciate bishoujo figures and figure photography a lot in general and still have as much fun with the actual process as when I started. Figures became surprisingly popular more as when I started the blog. These days many people worldwide take figure pictures, less for the purpose to put them into reviews, the obvious trend is a more artistic approach on figure photography, focusing on creating the one or a handful of nice and elaborate shots.

I always had some doubts about this certain step, but this year I started a facebook page for my blog, I quickly noticed that I, if at all should have done it much earlier, now it’s too late and apparently won’t result in a bigger audience. I’m also a little clueless about what to post XD.

Aside from blogging, I put my focus on flickr, it’s a very nice platform for figure and fashion doll photography. I also joined Instagram, it’s a fun place to look for and show pictures in a slightly different way. Although I stopped uploading pictures on mfc, it always gave me more grieve than anything else and just brings out the worst emotions in me ૮( ᵒ̌▱๋ᵒ̌ )ა.

Anyway I genuinely enjoy this photography thing. After all this time, I can’t think of a better hobby, oh well maybe gardening comes as 2nd in my case. I will continue with Wieselhead.de in the future, maybe I will invest in a new theme or create a second, only Dollfie related blog.

It’s actually not that easy to choose a favorite figure of 2015, especially in this year I received and reviewed a number of nice bishoujo figures, some more sexy ladies and a few released earlier, too. For the favorite figures choice I only will count the ones released in 2015.

Do good things come to those who wait? I don’t know if this holds any truth, but I waited years to see a top notch figure of Sairenji Haruna… and here she is. Max Factory created a beautiful and elaborately sculpted figure of my favorite To Love Ru character, I’m so happy.

Yui Yuigahama – Max Factory

Without knowing her origin before, this figure was quite delightful for my eyes. With her sweet face and the, without a doubt striking womanly appearance she turned out to be a wonderful figure. I got even happier about her, when I watched her very interesting anime.

Saber EXTRA – Fate/EXTRA – ALTER

I like most alternative styled Saber, I was looking forward to receive this 1/6 scaled masterpiece from ALTER since some time. As the day arrived I was so overjoyed. Saber Nero is portrayed as figure of a confident, beautiful and natural woman with a gorgeous bikini body.

  Sailor Sapphire Succubus – Orchid Seed

This was probably my hottest purchase this year. I fell in love with her young Succubus face and she’s just so sexy. I somehow disliked her uniform, but that could be easily solved XD Her nearly naked, nicely sculpted,  brawny and voluptuos body is top notch.

Moco – special ver. – Embrace Japan

I was a total fan of the Captain Earth anime. I’m often not very lucky with seeing figure adaptions based on my favorite animes. Fortunately Embrace Japan was kind enough to make very convincing figure of Moco, the enigmatic villain girl. She looks extremely cool.

Kafuu Chino – summer uniform – Ques Q

Haha this also happened ^^ There are purchases I do because I consider a figure incredibly attractive and there are purchases I make because it’s a figure based on a character I like. I really like Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? and Chino. The figure is not especially dynamic, but very cute, also the uniform is pretty.

I’m always happy when there is a very appealing figure made of a character I adore, like it happened with I – 168 from Max Factory. Sculpt, pose, a super cute expression, vivid colors and the additional items are great.  it’s a nearly perfect figure in my opinion.

Sonico – Paisura Bikini ver. – Kaitendoh

I was a bit nervous about Sonico from manufacturer Kaitendoh, but she turned out really good. I like her slightly chubby, curvy body, the illusion of soft skin is marvelous. She is one of the biggest figures I’ve received 2015. Her face could have been a little better, but she is nice.

Kongiku – Oboro Muramasa – ALTER

Kongiku was one of the few older figures I bought in 2015, after Pinkcheeks showed a picture of this figure on her facebook page earlier this year, I asked myself if this wasn’t a figure I would actually like ;D. She’s an exceptional beautiful figure with a pretty face, nice outfit and a lovely busom ^^ Since it was an older figure and I paid a “fortune” to get her after release, I put some more effort in this set and everything.

Kancolle – Kongou chuuha ver. – Max Factory

My first Kancolle related figure was Kongou, definitely a very appealing figure, the face is very attractive, also stockings and skirt look very good, but my impressions were mixed nevertheless, while everything seems very elaborately done, a few things bothered me.

My first figure from manufacturer Wing turned out very, very appealing with the face of an super sweet anime girl and a nicely developed, sexy body, she also has this so well endowed butt （´・｀ ）♡ the Event Staff Girl was a great figure for me.

In this year I finally managed to edit and update her old review, she was among my first figures and for her age Alice still is a wonderful figure.

Amane – Grisaia no Kajitsu – Kotobukiya

This year I finallly managed to finish the Visual Novel “Grisaia no Kajitsu”. Kotobukiya made this pretty big figure of Amane in a creative, dynamic pose. She is an enchanting, curvy bikini figure with a beautiful smile and very pretty hair.

Mammon – The 7 Sins – Orchid Seed

Orchid Seed did a remarkable great job with the mature demon lady Mammon from The 7 Deadly Sins. I appreciate the sexy concept of mom Mammon, they gave her beautiful, ladylike makeup. Obviously she’s more well endowed than your random teenage anime heroine all around, I love it, but not only that, the detailism of her outfit is stunning and nicely applied.

Asuka – Inochika ver. – ALTER

Another older figure where I decided later that I actually wanted it badly. I like the cute buxom Senran Kagura girls from the anime and ALTER made a marvelous adaption of Asuka, a sweet flustered face, a cuddly womanly body and a cute bikini. In general  the illusion of soft skin on her is fantastic.

Kasugano Sora – china dress ver. – ALTER

Sora is a wonderful china dress figure made by ALTER, she looks really nice with her complex pose , only her facial expression is more on the plain side.

So this post is about some blogsphere rambling, normally I’m only pestering Miette-chan with these thoughts, but today I will give you an earful, too and some of my random pictures.

Worry not, this is no “Good Bye” post. I know there has been a lack of figure reviews in recent months, but this was due to my reduced Preorder Roadmap in the beginning of the year.

In the next few weeks I will have new figures again

After years of figure reviews and blogging I’m still no celebrity and nobody sponsors me. lol, actually that never was something I had in mind with this blog, but well you get greedy  XD

I partially started my little blog figure review project, to make my freetime more productive.

I do these things since nearly 5 years now, my style definetely changed a bit compared to my first reviews, but I’m obviously not inventive enough to make this blog more interesting.

Well, I often thought about some things, merchandise for example, but I don’t feel confident enough to offer things like a photobook. Haha I’m not much of a business man, you know?
Or would you like me to offer postcards?

I’ve met many great and inspireing people in these few years, there was a lively exchange of great figure pictures, entertaining reviews and opinions so far. It’s still fun for me today, nevertheless often I feel a bit sad about certain things that changed within several years.
The most important thing is the general decreased activity.

What is left from this cozy figure blogsphere from once, not much I unfortunately have to say.

I’m someone that would like if good things would last forever, it’s a naive thought to be blunt.

Nothing lasts forever is something life tells us nearly every day, also in blogging things change. I often feel like riding on a “death horse” when working on a wordpress post these days.
I start to think “Oh, come on nobody is interested in this, why do you even bother?”

I don’t have an answer for that, I’m so used and happy to write posts regulary, that I don’t really care about other free time activities like playing games or things like that…

With enough motivation you can review and create content without receiving feedback for quite some time, it is far more difficult to deal with that, when you always had a certain amount of feedback. When this kind of feedback decreases over time, it’s somehow diffcult to stay as motivated as before.

Nowadays when I see uncommented post during my regular blog check, I often feel sorry for the author, since I know how much heart and effort is put into creating posts. But, I know it from myself, sometimes it’s hard to find something to say when you aren’t familiar with the topic or don’t feel like commenting on the same figure for a 4th or 5th time.

I saw many authors ceasing their blogging activities in every year, I’m honest about it, it always made me damn sad, but I won’t blame anyone for it. In life prorities change thats a matter of fact, family, partners or work have influence on what you want to do with your limited time.

I always enjoyed to comment on figure related blogs, as more and more blogs went in hibernation, I tried to discover new figure blogs, but except a few very positive examples, it was rather  a disenchantment action. Unanswered comments, in my eyes are a really rude thing towards your audience, sure sometimes it’s difficult to create a somewhat sophisticated reply, but at least show some appreciation torwads the commenter, otherwise the motivation to comment again is pretty low, don’t you agree?

Still, it’s not that I’m angry about anything in particular, I actually wanna thank everyone who once or still delivers content in the figure or anime related community, I read most of your reviews and enjoyed exchanging opinions with you, don’t feel bad if you are doing something elso nowadays. Thank you for the inspiration and all the happy memories I received.

I was always worried to create this post, since it might upset a few people and made me look like a weirdo, what I certainly am, but so what it’s done. I know that this won’t change anything, but I feel better after I’ve put these thoughts into words.

Hi people, I hope your christmas holidays went smoothly and your ready for the starting 2015.

After we already looked at the financial aspect and other data of my figure collecting this year, I want to show you a post, where we take a last look at the figures I’ve reviewed in 2014.

I borrowed the idea from Bakayaro.de I like the idea looking back at the figures and remembering the things I did in this year and all the different pictures as a result of it.

The vertical pictures I liked the most are used as representer of the 19 (+1) reviews I made this year, I put them in inverted order from January to December, if you like you can look at a certain review again by following the links or just take a look at the short summary here.

Super Sonico – PKG version – Orchid Seed

With writing a little story with Sonico involved, I made a fool out of myself in the review ;D.
The big scale figure is actually really pretty, I still love her standing pose and expression, my pictures are rather medicore in the first 2014 review, I should take pictures of her once again.

Super Sonico – Sweets Time version – FuRyu

I was again a little surprised by the quality of my second Sonico prize figure, also her photogenic level was quite high. FuRyu produces a lot of different Sonico prize figures.

Maeda Keiji – ALTER

This was an excellent figure of this year, Maeda has a lovely face, beautiful and also very skimpy clothes that make her show a lot of nicely sculpted skin. Her quality is incredible even for ALTER. I’ve build a bamboo forest set for her and the pictures turned out quite rewarding.

Yagyuu – Vertex

Her promo pictures were looking so nice, unfortunately they changed her skin texture in the final product. I wasn’t that satisfied by her, still she looked good and her quality was quite ok.

Sallya – Max Factory

She was a really sexy figure that Sallya, they gave her a teasing pose and cool appearance.
I really liked her slender body and the outfit. What I didn’t like was her peg less design, it’s dangerous you know. In pictures and from close up she looks far better than on a shelf.

Araragi Tsukihi – GSC

Tsukihi is not only my favorite Bakemonogatari figure to date, but also my favorite GSC figure this year, her facial expression and body language are fantastic. I love the bob cut hair, her thoughtful deep eyes, the beautiful outfit and the elaborate base, well GSC put more effort into the red bar frame work, than in the plain white disk under. Anyway she’s just beautiful.

Alleyne – Orchid Seed

I was quite impressed by Orchid Seeds 1/6 scaled figure. The pale Elf has amazing body sculpting and looks very attractive, the leaf bikini has a nice level of detail but can also be removed, to see more of her. She also has a very pretty face with blue eyes and a little blush.

Rin Shibuya – GSC

From a few angles her face looks a little off, but she’s actually really photogenic in her lovely outfit, when you shoot her in a stage or music video like setting, she really starts to shine.

Dragon Nest – Sorceress – GSC

My anticipation for her to be released was higher than my enjoyment of the figure, I still like her a lot, since she has a beautiful face and a nicely sculpted body, the outfit is also great, personally I don’t like the shiny finish on several parts that much.

Shimamura Uzuki – GSC

I don’t know why I’ve ordered another Cinderella girl, Uzuki is really cute and I liked her skirt, but she has nothing of Rin’s elegance, she looks a bit like a weirdo with herr proportions squeezed in a little girls outfit XD Well, I actually liked her dress and closed eyes.

Cerberus – Max Factory

Aww demon girls, I love them. The dancing Cerberus was definitely one of my coolest figures 2014. Her shiny armor and other parts of her outfit look really stunning. The cute girl is really my type, with nice hips, thighs and not too long legs. Unfortunately, she had no exchangeable hands as extra parts, it would have been a great option, since she has human hands.

Sena Kashiwazaki – swimsuit version – Gift

Gift made a quite lovely figure of Sena, she’s very big and attractive, not only because of her well endowed curves. She’s also very expressive for a 1/4 scaled figure with shading, beautiful hair and a sweet, happy face. To be honest her face doesn’t look good from all angles. From the right angles, though she looks very convincing. It was really fun to take pictures of him.

Suguha Kirigaya – ALTER

I can’t remember how often this figure was delayed before her release. The quality is very good and Suguha is a good figure, but unfortunately she is not a very interesting in that pose and with a scared expression on her face. Suguha deserved something different to portray her personality and “little” sister role.

Ikaros – Kotobukiya

Ikaros is also very nice as figure with an appealing color combination and nice looking hair, the slightly sad puppy eyes and the shy pose make her quite adorable and the bare shoulders together with ample boobs cleavage have some sex appeal. The wings look so cute on her.

Super Sonico – Santa Swimsuit version – ALTER

Oh I just love ALTER’s Sonico, she might be my favorite Sonico this year. The friendly and flirty facial expression together with her lovely, soft curves. Have I mentioned that I totally adore her strong, nicely sculpted thighs, she’s already super sweet with her beach look, but the additional christmas option convinced me even more.

Super Sonico – Cheer ★ Girl – Orchid Seed

This Sonico has a striking presence with her dynamic pose, that presents her at the end of a jump, nearly floating in midair and shows a radiant smile, she looks quite big for a 1/6 scaled figure, so you can notice all her cuteness and the pretty details clearly even from a distance.

Harada Makoto – Alpha x Omega

I really like the Yamato nurse, she’s a sweet little thing, her beautiful face is framed by her attractive short hairstyle. Also the lovely retro style of her shiny pink uniform is great, cheers!

Igawa Asagi – Milestone

I played surprise as I ordered this Hentai heroine from Milestone, without knowing what to expect. Fortunately the manufacturer did a quite good job with the suit and her face. I could complain a little about her beach ball shaped titties and that her head is slightly too small.

Asuna – Titania version – Max Factory

I nearly missed to order this great figure, she’s without much exaggeration really fantastic.
The innocent white dress combined with the beautiful yet sorrowful expression make her a beautiful figure, the best part for me is her gorgeous face. Max Factory did an excellent job.

So this were the 19 reviewed figures this year, so which reviews/ figure from 2014 did you like the most from here?

I’m wishing you all a Happy New Year

  Another “milestone” was achieved and so Wieselhead.de celebrates it’s third anniversary of being an a lively and passionate bishoujo figure blog. The blog started back in May 13th 2010.

In this anniversary post I want to talk about  the third year of blogging, I’ll take look back to certain posts, happenings and changings concerning my blog. Lets start with a few numbers.

I remember some funny things of the year, like the Stocking review, where I seemed to be the only one who liked her XD. The post where I reviewed Yukio Okumura a male figure, which was rather odd on a blog mainly known for boobs and moe. The day where I was asked out of left field by a fellow blogger to take over his figure order, it was a nice occasion since it brought me the adorable Menma from ALTER, which I probably hadn’t bought out of own impulse. I also liked my reviews of the old Saber Maid and the so much better new Saber Maid R.

Aside from figure and anime reviews I also had fun in the Anime Interrogation Game, where my very valued fellow blogger Hoshiko invited me to.  It was a quite interesting experience.

Figures

Figures are obviously quite important, since they are the topic and main attraction of this blog. In this 12 months time period I received exceptional great review material, the majority consist of new figures, but I also received older ones. It’s difficult to choose a most favorite figure or a certain review that I had most fun with, but the following ones are among my favorites.

Anime Reviews

I always liked it, but also had a few problems with writing anime reviews in the first years, but in this year I felt more convinced in my writing and had even more fun with writing about the shows I’ve enjoyed or in case of Eureka Seven Ao felt totally frustrated in the end.

At first, thanks to every single person who visits or even comments on Wieselhead.de, Im very happy about that. Of course, special thanks to the people that go the extra mile and comment in a very regular manner like feal87, hoshiko, Kai, Bakayaro, Nopy, Adam, Aya, Fabrice, G.K. Sil Kamina, Tier senpai and Miette. Especially I want to thank, the, beautiful talented blogger and photographer, one of the masterminds of Otagamers, the busily figma friend, Dollfie owner and fellow Takamachi Nanoha fan, the inhabitant of the desert, Miette-chan. The one who always listens to my “exciting” figure adventures and whining about the downfall of blog culture.

Hmmm…

not many blogs survive or can produce regular content over such a long time, exspecially running a regular figure blog takes a lot of passion, the pictures doesn’t appear out of thin air and ideas have to come in mind. Writing the text also is always something challenging for me.

My blogsphere changed quite a bit in this recent time I have to say. Be it motivation, a new way of living or other personal reasons, it’s natural for people to change and blogs will go on hiatus or in worst case die. However it is nice to see the missed people back with a post once in a while.

I told this to no one, but actually I thought about quitting this little free time activity of mine a few times this year, but don’t worry I love to run this blog too much to stop. In the first place, Im blogging for myself since it’s an activity I enjoy. Taking pictures, writing text filled with the things I want to say and the exchange with other people from around the world, it’s great!

New Theme

Finally, Finally! After years of searching  I found a new theme for my blog, that allowed me to finally say good by to Photocrati which really wasn’t the right choice back then. The new theme is called Paula, ( like my dog ^^). It is actually more or less what I was searching for. I love it’s modern look with the sliders, sidebars and I find the overall appearance appealing. It also offers a lot of options. So far I haven’t edited all post to match the new layout, but Im working on it.

Stats

The new theme doesn’t support Jetpack’s Stats, so stats were a real mess and pain to measure.

In the end of December I tested the new theme and Jetpack ceased working, from then to February I tried several stats plugins Statpress reloaded among others, but I didn’t like the design. Now Im using StatCounter Stats which is a bit friendlier than this Google Analytics that Im running casually. If I calculate the Jetpack stats and the ones from the other measured data, my all time stats should be around 190.700 visits.

further goals

Two goals were still unreached in the last year like [ ] finding a better looking wordpress theme and [ ] Improving my html and css skills. The theme has been found, but I guess  Improving my html and css skills is hopeless, I’m too lazy to invest much time in it anyway XD That aside I should  purchase the goal to edit all old post to match the new layout.
