Today I will show you a very pretty Sonico figure from Wave, after making number of 1/10 scaled Beach Queens, they returned with nice figures recently of much bigger scale and muh nicer quality. Sonico – bikiny style version has been released in November 2020. The figure is scaled 1/7 which make her 21,5 cm in height, sculpted by Zuiko.

The figure comes with a candy pink base with fluffy white plush on top, not really fitting for the beach, but the figure could also show Sonico during one of the indoor gravure idol model jobs.

I actually planned to review the Sonico – Summer Vacation version from Orchid Seed, but after some brawl with Nippon Yasan they cancelled all my orders and I got my money back. Unfortunately I didn’t find a good deal for her afterwards, maybe another time. Thx to all the delays 2020 to 2021 my carefully planned preorders changed a lot. I’ll have to pay several figure orders in these next 2 months, it’s a bit of a bad situation for me, that hopefully ends soon.

The figures face is quite adorable, sparkling pink eyes, blushed cheeks and a happy open mouth. The sculpting of her mouth could have been a bit more detailed, but that is like the only thing to criticize on this really nice bikini figure.

The hair on this Sonico figure is longer than on other figures of her, it’s done very detailed and has a lovely pink to sky blue gradient. Her trademark headphones look extremely detailed and the bow is made from metal.

Sonico also wears a beautiful necklace, as detailed as her nice headphones.

This Sonico reveals a lot of skin, the nearly nude appearance of the figure aside, it actually creates a happy beach atmosphere. Overall she has nice and gentle colors, Sonico has a beautiful skintone, a beautiful body anyway.

Super Sonico the ambassador of thicc/curvy body, back then Sonico was basically the first popular anime style character with a more curvy anatomy who appeals to both men and women, even with her sexy body she always has been portrayed as a friendly and good girl with an innocent personality. Many figures and illustrations have been made, not all are especially innocent. I bought a number of Sonico figures back in the days, but only the ones I liked a lot.

The bikini, as skimpy as it is still is made very detailed, realistic looking wrinkles and a tight fit, it’s a little funny how the bikini top appears to stressed from holding up Sonic’s proud assets.

Sonico’s flirty pose, is quite bold but with such a cute face one can’t accuse her of being lewd. Honestly, the pose is very good, bend over Sonico highlights her beautiful chest before her arms and sticks out her nice round butt. It is a similar pose like the Sonico – Racing version from Max Factory has, but not quite the same.

The boobs and cleavage look very inviting and soft, the illusion of the soft skin is very well done. Her hips and legs also look soft and squishy, the bikini bottom cuts deep into her skin, wearing it for more than a few hours is probably not advisable. I really like the articulations of her arms and the hands that are placed on top of her leg.

Final Words – This 1/7 scaled figure of Super Sonico is nice, Wave did a very good job her, everything is nicely detailed and cleanly done. She was sculpted very well wih a beautiful body line, it shows Sonico with attractive body fat articulated in a sexy pose. The skimpy clothes work very well in combination with the figures body and the signs of weight and stretch limits are visible, which is more fun than it sounds like. Additionally she has very nice hair and headphones, the face is pretty and cute. Alltogether the Super Sonico – bikini style is one of the better Sonico figures and quite enchanting.

I’m often drawn to figures in this category, they are pretty, attractive and distribute a summerly atmosphere.

My latest one is the Magic Bullets – Pin Up Girl from Kalmia Project, a figure based on the art of Sasaoka Gungu, before she was announced I already liked this sweet and especially nicely drawn illustration of her.

Her release date was in mid November 2016, my convenient excuse for reviewing her somehow late, was the slow Sal shipping, that took like 6 weeks. I liked Pin Up Girl because of her more creative, casual beach pose and tanlines, the figure is scaled 1/6, in her compact pose she measures 17 cm. She turned out nice and obviously elaborately sculpted.

She is a curvy girl with a more sturdier frame, as the tan lines indicates she might be an active swimmer. The figure has voluptuous thighs and strong looking arms. She has ample breasts as well. Overall she is very attractive and good looking. The figures hands and feet are extremely detailed, every single joint is clearly noticeable as well as the nails.

The skimpy bikini is probably not working for many sporty beach activities, but all right for relaxing at the beach.
The bikini accentuates the soft skin nicely, the triangle top covers the crucial areas and is slightly transparent without revealing too much. Nevertheless it’s a daring bikini, that tightly hugs her impressive boobs, the springy effect of her skin looks sexy. I also like the separate bikini holder straps, the distance from the body creates a nice and realistic look.

Unfortunately the ribbons at the front weren’t sculpted separately, they are part of the bikini and painted inside, on close inspection it’s slightly sloppy, although it’s just a minor thing, separate ribbons would’ve looked more airy.

The figure has beautiful dark purple hair. it is nicely sculpted with nicely separated strands and has a clean appearance, her extremely nice looking fringe shows a nicely applied reflection line that enhances the great look a bit more.

The face is compared to the illustration appears wider and the eyes slightly smaller. she also has a slightly more predator – ish gaze. Unfortunately, I’m a bit torn about the sculpting of her head, it feels like it’s limited to be pretty just from a few limited angles. Nevertheless from the right angles she looks sweet and unfolds her seductive charm.

In general bikini figures are made with an arched back, this figure though does the opposite, it does both, creating a more casual appearance and shows a belly fold, that again highlights the softly sculpted curves of her attractive body.The pose also accentuates her spine in an appealing way. The figures base is also nicely made and detailed, it’s resembling a real beach, there is a starfish and some blueish surge effect painted on it, the base looks really nice.

I also decided to get this figure because of her interesting tan lined skin. The skin color is nicely chosen, it gives the figure and exotic atmosphere, also the transition from tan to pale skin wasn’t done too sharp, it’s pleasing for the eye.

Final Words

Overall the Pin Up Girl from Kalmia Project turned out very good, she is a big figure with and interesting pose with nicely articulated limbs and joints. The figure also has a great looking curvy body, the sculptor did a great job with every area of her buxom body. Her skimpy skin revealing bikini also accentuates everything in a flattering way.

The Pin Up Girl also has very nice colors, next to her purple hair and general shading, her attractive tan lined skin is most obvious. Tan is a nice and barely used feature on a figure and a nice color palette for her was chosen.

She also comes with a very appealing base, I must have buried it under all this sand, but it’s a nice base, believe me.

One minor, although completely unimportant flaw are the front ribbons at her bikini. I’m only more upset that the face doesn’t convince me from every angle, although everything else is really nice, this bothers me.

YAHALLO! How is it going with your figure orders near the end of the year?

I will take a look at Yui Yuigahama today, it’s a figure from Max Factory, which was released recently in October. Yui was designed by Shima, measuring 23 cm at the 1/7 scale.
When I really like a figure made by Max Factory I often don’t hesitate with placing an order.

Without knowing the anime of this interesting figure, I knew that I wanted her here on my desk. Before the release I watched Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. It was a jawdrop experience for me, since it is a different kind of school comedy. The main characters are very likeable and surprisingly deep. It was an extremely good anime.

The sharp analysis of main character Hachiman about social life in High School makes this show also bitter, the truth is always bitter, in fact it’s thought provoking. Also with a gloomy attitude, he manages to make good friends during the show, after the homeroom teacher forced the co administration of the Service Club onto him,  two of his friends are 2 wonderful girls named Yukino and Yui, haha and Saika, a boy who rather looks like a very very cute girl.

Yui  Yuigahama is a very bubbly, cheerful teenage girl, she is one of the three main characters.

She is introduced when searching the support of the Service Club with baking cookies, her real problem is, that she is convinced about having a personal lack of talent, after Yukino and Hachiman talked some sense into her, Yui became a member of the club.

At first Yui appears as a somehow superfluous chick, what she actually is not. She is quite conscious about the things happening around her. After all she is a very friendly person and caring towards her friends.

Yui Yuigahama’s figure appears in a rather special outfit here, she was wearing during episode 08, were the High School students prepared a test of courage for a group of elementary kids, some students dressed in funky Halloween costumes and Yui got this sexy latex suit.

Yui’s sweetness has no boundaries.

I ordered this figure based on visual appeal, but after watching her anime I noticed that she’s my type, also her personality. I like cheerful girls that are honestly kind and as cute as Yui.

Highlights:

Face – The sculptor captured Yui’s appearance carefully, she looks exactly as I imagine her when thinking about the anime. She has these pretty eyes which are full of cheerfulness. An deeply carved open mouth with upper front teeth line gives her expression more definition.

Body – For a highschool student, Yui has a developed womanly shape with buxom boobs and hips. The breast look nice and squishy lol. Attention was also paid on her cute belly and firm butt. On closer inspection the detail on arms, shoulders and armpits is also remarkable.

Outfit – Yui actually is a good and innocent girl and was wearing this daring outfit just one time.  Although the shiny black latex suit looks very good on her, it clings tightly to her bodylines and also shows realistic wrinkles and seams, the red garters and silver buckles create a more detailed appearance and a good contrast to the deep black suit.

The glossy top coat creates a convincing texture. Yui can fill the wide cleavage cutout without problems, also her hotpants are rather revealing and a small part of her lower buttocks is visible, which is just so sexy. Other interesting parts are fingerless gloves and high heel boots.

Size – Yui Yuigahama looks great in 1/7, with 23 cm she’s not the tallest girl, but her small and bigger details are noticeable and nicely made. The face also has a nice size, I could admire her cute face for hours. Alltogether and the lively pose of course, make her an elaborate and attractive figure.

Final Words

Max Factory did a marvelous job with their figure adaption of Yui Yuigahama. The very cute, short haired girl looks quite hot in her sexy devil latex costume. The figure is manufactured in a very high quality, she has pretty colors and a very attractive looking body, I like how some skin is showing and Yui has a wonderful sculpted butt, that has to be mentioned ;D

But first of all Yui is a cheerful looking figure that combines cuteness and fanservice very well.
I got her for 10.380 Yen and feel super happy about this purchase.

Hi, I’m back with a new figure review, after quite some time it’s my beloved Sonico again.

It’s about the Super Sonico – Paisura Bikini version from Kaitendoh

This review has pictures that are NSFW, except your boss also likes nude, shapely figures.

This figure was made by Kaitendoh, the first time that I review a figure of them. I have not heard or seen that much of this company before, so my expectations weren’t very big, although all previous press pictures showed her to be pretty. With Yokota Ken Kaitendoh hired a skilled sculptor to make this figure. The figures scale is 1/6 and measures 28 cm.

Sonico – Paisura version comes with an optional necklace and additional arm rings you can use when Sonico doesn’t wear her bikini. A nice surprise was the mirror base of the figure, probably appropriate with such an revealing figure. Instructions for the castoff process aren’t included, new figure collectors might be feel a little overstrained by the slightly complex task.

Her right arm is raised in a protecive manner, don’t ask me why she puts her arm under the bikini, it obviously making everything even more embarassing for her

Yes, the headphones are a essential part of Sonico, the ones from Kaitendoh are detailed and delicate. Sonico also has nice clean hair, even the finer strands are elaborately crafted.

Sonico is portrayed in a ashamed and nervous state, still trying her best at the shooting to look into the camera. The face of this figure looks good and cute, she has the Tsuji Santa styled trademark eyes of Sonico, thick eyebrows and prominent blushmarks. Her mouth could be a little better, but from most angles the face looks really nice overall.

Sonico is a ridiculously shy and easily flustered Gravure Idol, in this situation Sonico does try to strike a sexy pose, but is actually defeated by her shame when she has been put in a skimpy bikini that is groaning by being stretched over the buxom girls body.

The bikini follows her voluptuos bodylines, with it’s interesting sugarcane and polka dot pattern, the blue part has an color gradient applied to it, which creates the illusion of stretched bikini fabric. The design looks rather fragile, but is bendable to a certain degree.

Compared to the body, Sonico’s feet are quite petite, the plateau shoes are sexy.

I was mesmerizied by the curvy body of this Sonico, she looks just beautiful. The sculpor put some love on this project and captured the attractive plump body of this girl with attention to detail, I think her cute belly, the broad hips and the meaty butt with thighs are amazing.

The boobs of this Sonico figure are really big, only rivaled by FREEing’s bunny version, which I haven’t bought, actually because of this reason. Anyway I like the big boobs of this Sonico, there is no doubt about that. They are nicely shaped and when you look veeeeery close her areola has some bumps and the nipples are also quite detailed.

I didn’t take long until I make use of the castoff option, it’s just too good. The top comes off in a rather artistic way, but it works good. Now her precious boobs are free ;D

I like amount of body fat this Sonico has, the little chubbines gives her a cuddly and very attractive look. I don’t know how you think about it, Pochaco with her proud big belly, who is quite popular these days. For my taste it’s a bit too much weight even though her cute smile is as bright as the sun.

Skin texture became an issue for me and in the end I doubt promotional pictures of certain figure manufacturers. I actually anticipated that the figure of todays review would greet me with the sad, cheap PVC skintexture, to my surprise Sonico had a smooth finish and nice skin.

Don’t mind the small gap between arm and right breast. I could have pushed the arm 2 mm higher, but missed it.

I never tried this before, but I thought that her curves would look great with some oil on her, I have used healthy safflower oil, I didn’t expect this amplification of sex appeal actually, damn!

Final Words

With so many Super Sonico figures on the market it’s getting more difficult for new figures to leave a lasting impression as the first few figures did, but let me tell you this Kaitendoh did an unexpected great job with this figure. The Super Sonico – Paisura Bikini version is a high quality figure of the character Sonico. A cute face, excellent body sculpting, beautiful skin texture and a convincing “too” tight bikini outfit are the major parts that are praiseworthy.

For me bikini related figures are often a worthy purchase, when they are nicely done like this Sonico, I like the kind of bikini figures that have something to show, detailed body sculpting is essential in order to be appealing for the buyer, when no fancy outfit is present.

Review time lady’s and gentlemen. After many months without any Super Sonico figures, in autumm several new Sonico have been released, so it’s time to go back to my beloved 2D girl.

Some time ago ALTER surprised everyone as they announced to produce a Sonico figure.

Sonico stands for being a sexy girl and sexy wasn’t the category many of ALTER’s previous figures would fit in. Even though they started to add more fanservice like things to their line up, like Senran Kagura’s Asuka. This Sonico is based on one of Tsuji Santa’s older illustrations, that showed Sonico dressed in bikini with a bell on her bikini top and a red Santa Clause hood.

When reading it’s probably a odd sounding combination, but this figure looks really good.
A second head is included to give you the option to have Sonico more fitting for the beach.

In this review I will focus on the suited for the beach attire only. I have something bigger planned for the figures christmas option, but preparations aren’t completed yet.

Sonico is scaled 1/7 with a height of 13 cm, she was made by two experienced sculptors, Hide and Makio Munetoshi who combined their excellent skills to create this beautiful  figure.
After a few delays, some even speculated that ALTER wouldn’t manage to release the Super Sonico figure before December, but the figure was released in early September 2014.

Orchid Seed is in my opinion the best manufacturer of Sonico based figures, but I really approve of ALTER’s first adaption of the Super Sonico character, she’s a simply beautiful figure.

Sonico has been mainly portrayed as flustered or scared curvy girl dressed in skimpy and arousing clothes. Taito and FuRyu as Prize Figure manufacturers started to make figures of a more cheerful Super Sonico. Previously Sonico was only known as curvy mascot, since the Sonicomi game some years ago and the Soniani anime the girl received a personality.

ALTER presents Super Sonico in a relaxed fashion, she feels good and enjoys being around the person she likes. It’s quite impressive how cute this Sonico actually is, starting from her beautiful eyes, to the prominent blush. Sonico also fires a lovely, gentle smile that can pierce ones heart.

Her shoulder long hair is simply said perfect, it looks fluffy, smooth and is carefully crafted, also the applied color gradient give it a great look. The long chunk of pink strands over her nose is quite adorable. The tilted  head and the fingers placed on one bikini strap give her a flirty look.

Sonico never been thin as a stick and this is also part of her popularity since the beginning and there is definetely a fanbase for so called healthy, or girls with more developed curves. This figure here also has slightly accentuated muscles. Her her thighs are meaty and look strong.

The bust size of Sonico varies quite a bit, that applies to figures and also illustrations. Sure also ALTER’s Sonico has big boobs, but the presentation turns out more modest compared to other figures of her. Maybe because she is for once wearing a bikini that is compatible with her sizes.

The compact pose works very well for this kind of figure, next to the beautiful smooth body, her thighs do stand out, I really love the curve when you look from the side, as well as her wide hips. From the back Sonico has a superb big butt, it’s nice that her butt is slightly lifted up in this pose.

Sonico is wearing a nice, white triangle bikini, the red mini ribbons on top and slip are really cute details, fine wrinkles give the bikini a realistic look. From the top’s middle connector hangs a small golden bell decorated with a ribbon and leafs ready for christmas. At the outside of the bikini there are very detailed laces applied, that slightly remind oneself of holiday tablecloth.

This figure of Super Sonico has one of the prettiest cleavages in the whole figure realm to date, the shapely sculpting is top notch. There is some modest underboob fanservice. A cast off option isn’t part of this figure, but I won’t complain about that, since I’m more than happy to have a relaxed, relatively innocent looking, high quality figure of her for a change of things.

Final Words

Applause for ALTER and their wonderful adaption of the Super Sonico character. She has lovely hair, an adorable face and a shapely, nicely sculpted body. If you are looking for a high quality figure of Sonico that shows a different expression than being flustered here is your answer.

Taking pictures of her was seriously so much fun! cutting down to 34 images was quite difficult. As you can see, I focused on a tropical beach scenario an didn’t use her hood and base, the christmas version of this (review) will follow soon, so stay tuned.

I might review another new Sonico figure in between, though.
