Halloween is over, but the figure in this review recently arrived and I won’t save the review for next Halloween. Aizawa Nao is based on an illustration of the cover in volume 151 Comic Aun magazine, I guess she never appeared somewhere else. Orchid Seed put her into figure form.
She is scaled 1/7 and has a sitting height of 150 mm, she was released on 29th November 2011.

At first I wasn’t very interested in getting her, because of underwhelming promo pictures, lately I started to visit Orchid Seeds blog more often, because they sometimes show interesting pictures of the progress of their upcoming figures. There they had a post about Aizawa Nao, which changed my opinion about this figure from not being interested to I really want to get her ;).

In comparison with the illustration from her medium sized box, the figure appears more pretty with her more beautiful face while the pose resembles the illustration more or less closely.

This figure comes with a big blue cape, a pumpkin where she sits on, a normal and an ecchi bra, a tail and a transparent, purple, round base with her name printed on.

Nao has nice looking hair with these single sharp strands around her forehead, behind her head she has a huge and voluminous ponytail hairstyle. Despite her meneater appearance, she has a lovely face expression, with the piercing yellow greenish eyes, the detailed eyelashes. Together with the friendly sculpted mouth and the well placed blush marks a nice expression is created.

The pose of the figure turned out less risky as on the illustration. Well, she is also sitting bend over on her pumpkin with squeezed boobs and spread legs as well, but her boobs appear a bit less voluminous and the arms of the figure cover her crotch area from lecherous eyes.

In her risky outfit she looks like some kind of female Supervillain, her upper clothes have a shiny latex like texture with dark outlines and a gradient effect that creates a slightly transparent look.
The figure comes with an optional cape, it is blue on the outside and orange on the inside with a pumpkin brooch at the collar, since I prefer her with bare shoulders I’ve put it back into the box.

A pretty and fancy part of her outfit are the stockings and the fingerless gloves, which have a nice dark blue to light purple gradient with white stars on them. The little devil tail can be placed in a hole at the backside of her purple g-string. As shoes she is wearing the well known high school model, we know from many animes, there are small pumpkin buttons as little diversification.

The pose is interesting and very well articulated, even though I could have imagined different poses for this figure, I prefer arched backs and strongly squeezed aren’t really my preference.

Nevertheless Aizawa Nao is a very attractive figure, she is showing a lot of skin and I especially
like her bare shoulders and the colorbones. she has smaller boobs as in the illustration, but they are still big and have some puffy nipples. You can cover this are with one of the two bra parts, well the ecchi one doesn’t cover much, to exchange the parts you can pull off her right forearm.

(thx to alamarco for the hint)

I was always searching for an easy way to create fog in my pictures, dry ice sounded quite convenient at first, but it was only sold in big blocks here and appeared quite dangerous to handle. A fog machine would have been too overdimensioned, well there are small ones with less output for around 400€, I also heard they were smelly and leave sticky arrears. Luckily I found what I was looking for at a shop for pet supplies, it was the Super Fog Nano from Lucky reptile.

The figure isn’t connected to the pumkin via a peg, the pumkin has intentions for the butt and the hands of this figure, she is very well balanced, considering that her feet are slightly in the air.

Qualitywise this figure is very well made, her skin is smooth without rough areas aside from a small seamline above her g-string. Also the paintjob appears very clean, it nearly shows no overpainting, but on a close distance they slacked at the small orange buttons on her shoes.

Final Words

Im happy about the purchase of Aizawa Nao, she has a very pretty face and also a nice body. The fancy designed outfit with the purple colorsheme looks very cool and Im glad that the sculptor did some changes to the figure in comparison with the not so nice original illustration.
She looks a lot more adorable in figure form

After the Super Soniko – bondage version figure and the lovely Dwarf, Aizawa Nao was the second figure that I received from Orchid Seed and Im quite satisfied with them and I will probably order more from them in the future. In case you like your figures a bit more sexy Orchid Seed is a alternative to tamer companies like ALTER and GSC, in terms of quality they are also on a quite good level.

The figure of Aizawa Nao isn’t very popular, I only saw two japanese reviews of her, which is probably due the non existent origin and because of the first promo pictures which didn’t do her justice at all, but because of that she’s still availabe at most shops for around 7000 Yen.

This cute girl is named Suzu, she is the main heroine of Nagasarete Airentou, a great comedy anime I just finished a few days ago.
The figure was made by Kotobukiya in the year 2008 with a scale of 1/7 (225 mm). Her sculpt was realized by Takaku & Takeshi.
I was enchanted by her charming appearance.

When already running out of space you shouldn’t order old figures I would say XD

While I was searching for a cover illustration of the Nagasarete Airentou anime, a picture of a cute figure appeared and I was enchanted by her charming appearance and I wanted to see more of her. In the end I bought her on ebay, after I’ve asked the seller to make her cheaper, my price was quite bold, but luckily he accepted it, I wonder if he would have sold her for even less.

This cute girl is named Suzu, she is the main heroine of Nagasarete Airentou, a great comedy anime I just finished a few days ago. I guess I will write a review about it next month, it was very enjoyable. The figure was made by Kotobukiya in the year 2008 with a scale of 1/7 (225 mm). Her sculpt was realized by Takaku & Takeshi who also made my Noemi Itou figure and is working on the big figure Eustia Astraea, unfortunately she’s exclusive and will need space.

Info about Suzu’s origin

Suzu lives on an unexplored mysterious Island together with other females, in the past a thunderstorm occured as all the males were fishing and they never came back. Poor Suzu also lost her mother in that tragic event, since then Suzu lived alone, with the pig Tonkatsu who is the only remaining family member. Nevertheless, most of the time Suzu is a kind, happy and dilligent girl. She helps with harvesting the food in the island community. She likes household chores and would certainly be a good wife, in case there will be a male again on this lost island.

review part

Suzu arrived in her box, the seller told me that he never opened it before. Lets just believe it from the look of it that might be true, after nearly 3 years in her box I liberated her from her prison. Her foot was already connected with her sand textured base and her small friend Tonkatsu was included as well, he isn’t fixed so that you can place him wherever you want. Unfortunately the massive Ponytail lost contact with the head at it’s predetermined breaking point, but glueing it back in place was a piece of cake since the peg was still intact enough.

Nagasarete Airentou features a very cute cartoon look and Suzu was turned into a figure
which resembles her character very well in nearly every aspect. She has one closed and an open
eye, together with the nicely engraved open mouth she looks really adorable and gives the whole figure a very lively appearance. Suzu really radiates a nice “running to the beach” feeling.

Her massive long ponytail hairstyle is nicely sculpted with an active flow and single detailed strands, the brown hair also shows some dark shading. The big ribbon let it appear like Suzu would have cat ears in the anime the ribbon was dark blue, but it looks good in purple as well.

Suzu wears a cute, light pink and small bikini which tight fit compliments her soft, ample boobs and her nice butt. There is a small ribbon at the front of her top and at the sides of her bikini slip.
In the anime Suzu only had a traditionlal japanese outfit with white stockings, but maybe the sculptor was a little bit inspired by the bikini outfit from the illustration above.

The pose is a very dynamic one, Suzu is set in pose with an arched back and slightly twisted upper body, her right arm is happily stretched into the air and her hair flies through the air.

It is nice that Suzu has a 1/7 scale, the always not that exciting bikini outfit is equated by the level of detail on this figure. She has a very detailed back, these scapulas are damn sexy for example, from the front her soft and ample boobs are also nice to look at. As you see Suzu has even quite pretty long legs. Hehe, ok also the less sexy parts of her body are detailed, her fists show detailed fingers and the strands of her hair were made with the same attention to detail.

Final words

Suzu is a really pretty and cute figure and I’m glad that I was able to track her down for an reasonable price. Her quality in terms of sculpting and a clean paintjob is very good, Suzu is probably one of Kotobukiya’s better works. She has nearly the same look as in her origin Nagasarete Airantou, the transiston from cartoon 2d to a 3d figure was done very well.
The cute an happy atmosphere of this figure is catching Im really satisfied with this purchase.

On a personal note: Omg that felt so good to come up with a figure review again!
To me it felt like ages since the last one, fortunately the lean time should be over now and I should receive figures more regular in the next 4 months, thx for your patience ^^.

Hi a new figure has finally arrived, after a lot of anime related posts I can present you a new figure review. Today it will be about Hirasawa Yui, she’s a premiun prize figure manufactured by SEGA.

Her origin is the popular anime adaption K-on!!, the slightly airheaded Yui was the unofficial main character in the first season. In this figure adaption she is shown in her official HTT (Happy Tea Time) band t-shirt which she sported at the last performance on the school festival with Mio, Ritsu, Mugi and Azusa in episode 20. Ah that scene afterwards was such a big tearjerker, parting with your schoolmates and previous schoollife can be so sad hard. “stop crying damn wimp” XD
httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pOoLvamGvM&feature=related

I never thought about buying a Sega figure before, last year, I began to notice, that their quality seemed to be better than I actually thought. I couldn’t find this Yui figure at japanese shops and ordered this figure at an US-shop, later she appeared on Mandarake for around 1600 Yen, I paid a little bit more, 35 $ + shipping (rage!), for prize figures you should give Mandarake a try.

First Impressions

Despite beeing a prize figure Yui comes with a nice looking box, she is a fully assembled figure, already fixed on her flip-flop colored base and with her beloved guitar “gitah” in her hands.
This “Windmill” Yui figure is quite big, she measures 21 cm which lets her look like 1/7 +

As I first unpacked her I felt a bit dissapointed with her, Yui was so unexpectedly big, I expected something more close to 1/8. Because of the huge size the lack of details on this prize figure is very prominent. I guess I became a bit spoiled with the level of detail from my high price figures.
Well, while doing the shooting with Yui, I slowly got the feeling that Yui actually is a very nice looking figure and that I was too harsh with her at the beginning even though there is still a difference in comparison with figures from other manufacturers that have a higher reputation.

Pose and random Infos

As you see this is a quite dynamic pose SEGA had chosen for her, I think they wanted to recreate the trademark windmill move of Pete Townshend, a member of The Who, he also owned the same Gibson Les Paul guitar like Yui, in fact he had 9 different Les Paul guitars for the concerts.

Yui raises her plektrum in the air like she wants to ROCK!, her movement with the spread and slightly crooked legs is captured very nicely, well her back is more leaned forward, but thats mainly because of the weight of her guitar, I suppose it’s a quite heavy instrument for a girl of her size. Yui’s guitar is the Les Paul Standard Sunburst made by Gibson, they did a very good job in recreating the details of this popular guitar model, the plastic has a nice polished wooden look, the turning knobs are on the right placed and also the belt around Yui’s shoulder looks cool.

Yui has a wild waving hairstyle with several detailed strands and her 2 yellow clasps. There are also some shading effects which have been rarely used on the rest of this figure. They gave her face a nice open mouth and some cute blushmarks and nice eyes, overall she resembles Yui very well, maybe her eyes appear a bit too big in comparison with her face, what do you think?

The reason why I have ordered this figure adaption and not one of the other Yui’s is mainly based on this cool looking pose and partly based on my aversion to western styled private school uniforms, they are so plain and bourgeois. With the white HTT t-shirt her outfit has more credibility, now she really looks like a member of a band. Thats the spirit of Rock n’ Roll!
Well, Im ok with the skirt and her black pantyhose, since they accentuate her nice legs.

Also the sculpting of her dress with the detailed wrinkles on skirt and shirt is very well done. There are nearly no visible seamlines, also the simple paintjob looks clean and smooth.

Final Words

Yui is a premium prize figure and in terms of quality she’s actually a very good figure. At first I was a bit dissapointed because of her big size, but after the shooting and some days on my desk, she grow on me a bit more.

Well, you can clearly see where Sega cut the budget for prize figure Yui, aside from the hair this figure has no shading and the good sculpted guitar has no strings, nevertheless it’s remarkable, that a prize figure comes with such a good quality. Well for the price I’ve paid I would had expected a decent figure, but when you’ve just paid 1500 Yen this is more than a very good deal.

Hi there Im here again after 18 days of abstinence, september was an empty month in terms of figures. Today I will present you one of my rare figma reviews. It’s old news that Im no big figma collector, but when I really like a certain figma, I won’t hesitate to buy it. So here we have figma number 105, Hachikuji Mayoi from the ultra cool Bakemonogatari universe. I aways liked her funny, lively and cute character in this anime and I already bought a scaled figure of her.
This figma was made by Max Factory, as elementary schoolgirl she only measures 12cm ^-^

sitting on my new 70mm lens – isn’t she lovely

Hachikuji Mayoi has many accessoires in her box, aside from the obligatory three faces, the set of hands and the figma base, there are also parts included like the backpack, an closed umbrella, an open umbrella and a second lower body called “shiftbody” which puts her into a cower pose.

Impressions

Hachikuji wears her normal school uniform, sculpting and painting on it are very accurate, it resembles the look from the anime very well, especially the friendly face with the open eyes is great. Honestly, the face with it’s deep eyes, the lovely blushmarks as well the typical for Max Factory black lined mouth give Hachikuji Mayoi a nicely detailed and lively appearance.

Also other details like the hairband, the green ribbons, the bracelet, the cherry on her skirt, the band aid and even the snail pattern under her shoes are accurately based on her character. The backpack also has all the details we know from the show, there a small straps where Hachikuji can put her arms through, at the inside is a moveable peg who fits into the back of the figma.

The posing ability is very good, the joints stay in place after being put into position. Because of the small size, the joints don’t stick out too much. A funny part are the ball jointed twintails^^. Everything is very tiny, I was a bit scared of breaking something, please handle her with care.

You can display Hachikuji with or without the backpack, it is quite heavy and so you need to use the base, or the figma will fall over. There are two holes where the figma base can be put into.

Who does not fight has already lost”

cheap FX

You can have a lot of fun with the Hachikuji Mayoi figma, the different kinds of accessoires gives you a lot of stuff to play around with, the open umbrella for example is a beautiful item, it looks so adorable when she is holding it, you can also use it with other figmas like Shizuno Izumi.

Final Words

Max Factory delivered another great figma, in my eyes it’s one of the best ones :D. The level of detail at such a tiny 12cm figma are remarkable. The posing works well like with most other figmas, but the small size increases the cuteness of this one. The included accessories will give you a lot of display possibilities, the umbrella and the “shiftbody” parts are my personal favorites.

If you like figma and Hachikuji Mayoi you should get your copy, even if you are not into figma I would recommend to get her, you don’t have to play with her, just put her into a cute pose and let her be. The only understandable reason not to buy her would be in case you dislike Hachikuji.

thx for reading, this time it was shorter than usual, I hope you don’t mind.
next time I will give you my impression about the shows of anime summer season 2011.

Hello everyone, this review is about the Hatsune Miku – lat type version figure from GSC.
I think I don’t need to explain it, you all know who Hatsune Miku is and what kind of music
she makes. But what is Lat anyway? What differs this lat version from the normal Miku is
the rounder and cute face, the glasses and the school uniform like outfit that she is wearing.
So far I wasn’t affected by the Miku Vocaloid hype at all. Well, I like the character design,
but in fact I don’t really like the squeaky synthetic voice in most of her uncountable videos.

Nevertheless I will present you a few videos which I found quite enjoyable, the last one rocks
httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8SYrzDHD74&feature=player_embedded#!=hd1
httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwZO9bio-rU&feature=related

I actually never was interested in owning one of the many many many produced figures of Miku before, but I couldn’t ignore a certain figure in the end. The Tony Taka version with the rubber bones in the feet caught my interest at first, but at the winter Wonfes 2010, I saw GSC’s new lat type Hatsune Miku, so I thought “ok this is the one to buy, forget about the other one for once”.

Miku was manufactured by Good Smile Company and released in late August 2011, she is scaled 1/8, with just 17 cm in height, she plays in the same size league as my Melissa Seraphy and Itou Noemi figure. A little bit bigger would have been nice, because she looks like a child next to other 1/8 scaled figures, but nevertheless the figure turned out quite nice in the final product.

Miku comes with a lot of accessoires, like two bases, two mics, two red glasses and two safety pegs for the lifted foot, to give her a sturdier balance (she doesn’t need them to be honest).

Hair

Every Miku figure has a monster twintail hairstyle and the haircolor is a mix of blue and green.
The lat version of Miku isn’t any different in these regards, her hair looks nice with the little bit of transparency which is added. The strands are mainly sculpted clean and detailed. Twintails are always nice to have and these huge ones doesn’t disappoint, they are long and have a nice flow.

Body & Face

Like I said before typical for the Miku lat type model is a small round head with a cute face.
The face is cute, even though nothing special, the green eyes are big and the open mouth has a nice depth. Her face is also pretty without them, but what makes her face more interesting are the pretty red megane (glasses) which you can put in her face, after you’ve pulled out her bangs. She looks a bit nerdy with them, but in all honesty they suit her very well. I like glasses, because I wear them myself and like when girls are wearing them as well. No, Im no megane maniac XD.

Miku wears nicely sculpted headphones on top of her head, they have a nice design, the R and L letters at the sides for example are a cool detail. These headphones really exist on the market, so if you would like to get them for yourself, these are the Yamaha HP-1 Orthodynamic headphones.

I like the petite body frame of Miku she appears quite tiny I guess, especially her upper body is very thin in comparison with her arms. despite from her small size, the body of this figure is sculped in a very detailed way. Other details like the tatoo with her name on the left arm and painted fingernails are giving this figure the final touch, I can’t provide close up shots since my macro lens died at the beginning of the shooting. This figure also looks great from the backside.

Outfit

The face isn’t very special, but her outfit and her pose are. Miku wears a sleeveless slighty light grey school uniform shirt with an high collar and a green neck tie around her neck. The wrinkles on the shirt and the skirt look very cool and the dark grey shading on the shirt looks great.

Her skirt is really short and because of that her striped pantsu flashes from many angles, (nice!).
The skirt can be casted off in case you want to display her like that. The panties are very low-cut and so the half or even less of her butt isn’t covered. While the shirt has a pearl effect, the black skirt and the high latex boots are very glossy. GSC and the sculptor Akeji did a great job with the details and the flow of her outfit, it accentuates the dynamic appearance of her pose very well.

There are a lot of small and interesting details printed all over her dress which lets Miku lat type appear like a detailed figure, there were made are bigger figures with less details, I have to say.
The thigh high boots of her have a very glossy finish and a funny green sole, I guess its hard to put on these boots, I also think that they would collect a lot of sweat inside during a concert XD.

Final Words

I don’t own many GSC figures, I only have (3!) scale figures from them so far, but Hatsune Miku lat-type version is a very well made figure, she’s my second favorite from GSC in my collection.

The detailed outfit looks really great with the wrinkles, the shading and the small prints on it.
This Miku also has a great and dynamic looking pose, also her petite body is very well sculpted.
Acessoires like two nice bases, mics and optional glasses are nice extras this figure comes with.
One thing I could complain about is her small size, in real life she would only be around 1,40 ;D.

Anyway Im happy with this figure, even though I considered to cancel my preorder a few times.
If this review made you slightly interestered in the Hatsune Miku – lat type version, you can still get her for around 4080 Yen at AmiAmi and the other shops, she’s worth the money.

Hi here is a new figure review of one of my latest purchases

This Hyper Nurse Painkiller Kotone-chan figure was an Hobby Japan magazine exclusive mailorder, which I’ve ordered via Tokyohunter, a proxy buyer service from japan. I placed my order on december the 2nd 2011, the official price tag was 8190 Yen, with proxy fee I paid 11500 Yen + 2600 Yen shipping, quite a lot but actually I didn’t care much about it.

Kotone chan is a new edition of the character made by Keumaya, who also made two other Kotone figures, one that looks similar to the new Kotone and a black version. The figure in this review is around 190 mm in height, no scale was mentioned but I would say it is something between 1/8 and 1/7 scale. This cute nurse figure was released in late june 2011.

Kotone chan made her first appearance in an old doujinshj manga. I really regret that I checked out this perverted crap in preperation for this review, honestly that was a quite disturbing experience, I wouldn’t recommend to read it, what has been seen can’t be unseen

The new Kotone appeared in a far more modest manga which was published in Hobby Japan magazine, she also takes part in the cool looking PSP Game Queens Gate Spiral Chaos.

Kotone-chan attacks ingame video link

While the two old figures had the appearance of a slender girl with a small chest, the new Kotone-chan appears more like a loli, she has short legs, her hips and the butt are smaller, she has a slightly bigger head and her face is a lot cuter than the one from the other Kotone’s.

The base is a simple black disk, it’s diameter is quite big and not what I would call space saving. Unfortunately the right foot of Kotone doesn’t really fit on the peg, maybe I’ll try it again with more force. On the other hand this figure is balanced enough to be able to stand without base, which is always nice when you don’t want to have the black disk in the picture, but you shouldn’t place her on a shelf without the base, to prevent Kotone chan from falling on the ground.

Under her nurse cap Kotone has dark brown hair, she has a cute pigtail hairstyle with red beads around them, also the detailed strands and her bangs look very nice. In her pretty face she has beautiful grey and lively eyes, the dark colored open mouth is another nice part of her face.

The outfit consist of a light grey shirt and a jacket with red accents, at her hip region she has just two belts. The outfit is a simplified version of the one from the older Kotone figures, even though many design elements have been reused on the new Kotone chan, like the silver crosses, the sleeves and the boots for example.

The colorsetting of the outfit isn’t very vivid the main colors that have been used are red, black and light grey. The flow and sculpting of her shirt and jacket looks nice but a few shading effects could have been added to polish the overall look. I really like the detailed high heel boots with the red collar and the big, heavy looking belt around Kotone chan’s hips looks very cool as well.
The paint on the lower parts of her legs should give the look of nylon stocking, but its hardly visible and not very well done, at first I thought that they’ve just messed up the shading *lol*.

Kotone-chan comes with many funny accesoiries like an injection shotgun, a creative designed bonesaw and a some kind of powerglove, bonesaw and shotgun can be placed into her hand and the holders of the belt, to put on the glove you have to pull off the hand and the wristcollar first.

Thx to round pegs the upper half of her arms and the hands can be rotated, which gives a bit posing variety, it is fun to play around with her that way, if only her head had a peg like this…

Hobby Link included no instruction manual for this figure, which really sucks. This figure has a cast off feature, from my point of view there was no way that the shirt would fit over her head, so I pulled at her head believing that there must be a peg hidden somewhere. Well there was no peg hidden, but the head came off anyway, I ripped off her head, what was her price tag again?

The NSFW part starts now, children cover your eyes!

After that accident casting off was very easy, pull out the lower part of both arms and the pull the shirt and the two belts over her stumps and you’re good to go, afterwards I glued her head back in place and took some pictures for putting her clothes back in place I had to rip off and glue her head again XD. Just to give you a short impression a picture of the headless Kotone chan.

Under her jacket and shirt the petite body of Kotone comes to light, I ordered this figure without actually knowing how she would look underneath. Under her shirt she wears a combination of a bra and a weapon holster which leaves her chest area open. Kotone’s body looks rather un developed than appealing, but she has a cute belly button and a nice hip area, she looks more loli than expected and I felt a bit guilty for undressing her but she also looks cute without clothes.

Her body is very well sculpted and also from her back she shows very well made details as well, unfortunately at her left side there is an odd bend mark, which disturbs the positive impression a bit. In my opinion the pervs @ HobbyLink should have given her at least an optional bikini top for covering her nipples. I might sound a bit weird with my complaints, of course I was the one who bought her in the end, but I feel better to display a loli character like Kotone in my room without a bare chest. I will try to give her another set of clothes like in my dressing up figures post.

In another review of her I also noticed that the black underwear thing which acts like the last bit of modesty can also be casted off. Hahaha well I guess the review was already indecent enough.

Final Words

Kotone chan is a very cute and interesting designed figure, her weapons are cool and creative. The sculpting of Kotone is very well done, aside from the strange bend mark at her left side.
The paintjob isn’t that well done in some aspects, there is a bit under and overpainting at parts of her outfit and inconsistent shading effects can also be found. At the end Kotone is a well done figure, nothing more and nothing less. So was this figure worth the 11500 Yen?

Not really I have to admit, the new edition of Kotone is nice, but overall it is not really what I would expect from an exclusive figure. It was my third exclusive figure and my experience is that the companies mainly want to make extra money instead of making a figure with really good quality. In the future I will be even more cautious before placing an order for exclusive stuff.
If I had seen her earlier I could have bought the black version of Kotone for less money but overall better quality, haha well the problem is that this figure is bundled with the loathly manga. Aside from som nag Im happy with my Kotone chan

Thanks for reading a new post should be up at the end of next week.

Today I want to show you a new figure review about one of my latest purchased figures, it is Kotobukiya's cute little Angeloid Nymph, her origin is the popular anime Sora no Otoshimono. Kotobukiya released this Nymph under their 4 Leaves label, this figure is scaled 1/6 and has a sitting height of around 12 cm, her release date was at the end of july 2011. She is the first 1/6 scaled figure in my collection and I was eagerly waiting for the day of her release.

Today I want to show you a new figure review about one of my latest purchased figures, it is Kotobukiya’s cute little Angeloid Nymph, her origin is the popular anime Sora no Otoshimono. Kotobukiya released this Nymph under their 4 Leaves label, this figure is scaled 1/6 and has a sitting height of around 12 cm, her release date was at the end of july 2011. She is the first 1/6 scaled figure in my collection and I was eagerly waiting for the day of her release.

This Nymph figure has a few nice features like a soft cushion base, an castoffable cape and also the big collar around her neck can be taken of, as well as her pretty semi transparent blue wings.

Nymph comes in a rather place saving box, nevertheless I had to pay 2980 Yen for the EMS shipping, regarding her 1/6 scale I think its a fair price. In the past shipping costs appeared less expensive, or maybe I just had this impression, because I’ve bought only a few figure in the past. Nymph was wrapped up in many layers of foil so unpacking took a few minutes

Herorigin is the popular animeSora no Otoshimono, a mixture of comedy, ecchi and sci-fi.
The anime centers around a perverted guy called Tomoki lives together with the mysterious Angeloids Ikaros and Nymph, who came from the sky. The show portrays his daily life adventures with them and his friends. Sora no Otoshimono is a rather good anime, only this perverted “toad” Tomoki can be quite annoying sometimes. This anime also had a sequel called Sora no Otoshimono: Forte where a third Angeloid called Astrea was added to the cast. In June of this year also a movie called Sora no Otoshimono: Tokeijikake no Angeloid was shown in Japan.

Nymph made her first appearance in chapter 13 of the manga and in the anime she appeared in episode 6. She is an Electronic Warfare Angeloid, who has high processing capabilities and the ability to hack into computer systems, other Angeloids and human brains. Unlike Ikaros she is acting more lively and can show her emotions. She is a rather small and petite Angeloid, who is only 139 cm in height and weights 29 kg. In her origin there was no info about her age, you can’t judge it by her looks since Angeloids don’t grow. She had the mission to retrieve Ikaros, but failed because of her low combat abilities compared to her. During her mission she falls in love with Tomoki and decides to stay together with Tomoki and Ikaros. Oh I should add a bit info about her personality as well, most of the time she behaves like a normal girl she can be cute and lovely, but also a bit self centered and bitchy. Nymph has a soft spot for snacks and soap operas.

Nymph looks really enchanting, cute and adorable. She has one of the cutest faces among my figure collection, it has a nicely sculpted 3 dimensional shape and the small open mouth just adds the final touch to it. On her face she has really cute and soft blushmarks and her blue eyes are very detailed. It doesn’t resemble her face from the anime 100%, but its very close and I like the way the sculptor made it. Her hair shows a voluminous light blue twintail style, her bangs and the long strands have a little dark shading, overall it suits her very well and look like in the anime, also these futuristic square cut mecha ears of her are very nice details on Nymph’s cute head. I think she looks good with or without choker, but I somehow feel bad when a big choker with a chain is put around a girls neck, so Im happy that Kotobukyia included the option to take this thing off.

Her slightly shiny white combat suit is very pretty with her cape and the shoulder armor, without cape and shoulder armor, the suit of Nymph resembles a chineses dress with slits high to the hip.
These blue semi transparent wings are really beautiful in shape and texture, especially when you light them up with an external lightsource. On the backside the cape is cutted into 8 stripes, on the inside the cape is painted with a pink color. Shoulder armor and suit have a few black lined details. The white suit shows wrinkles like a sturdy latex dress and the grey shading on it is very well done. Connected via big suspenders Nymph wears black stockings and white boots, when taking off the cape Nymph appears more petite and after taking off the wings she appears even more petite *Kawaii* I really like the design of her suit.

I like this pose of Nymph it shows a nice body language and considering that the figure is scaled 1/6, this pose of her is a rather space saving one. The way Nymph sinks in the soft cushion base looks great and somehow it lets the figure appear a lot livelier than the mainly used plastic bases.

Nymph is mainly made of pure cuteness, a little bit of sexyness is added at her lower region, the passage from the hips to her thighs looks quite sensual and I also like how she pulls down the suit between her legs in a shy or rather playful way. From certain angles you can catch a glimpse of her fancy designed panties.

Final Words

Now a few last words about this figure, Kotobukiya created a really nice adaption of Nymph, she is beautiful and has a very cute charisma. I like figures with a petite body frame and Nymph really meets my taste in this regard. She is a supercute figure, I like her skintone and the cute, detailed face a lot ^-^. The 1/6 scale and the sitting pose in combination with the cushion base are also very good points of this figure. Her white suit and her big semi transparent wings are very pretty. In terms of quality Im quite satisfied with this figure, the sculpting looks good and clean. Well on very close view there are a few very small overpainted areas along the black stripes of her dress. Im very happy that I’ve ordered this figure, Nymph is a figure I would like to give a hug haha ^^.

This figure isn’t really popular and so she’s still available at AmiAmi for 6120 Yen

So far Kotobukiya and Plum released a scaled Nymph figure, personally I would say Koto’s adaption is the nicest one. When you would like a less cute and more dynamic Nymph, the upcoming figure from Grands would probably be more suited for you.

A review about ALTER's Charlotte E. Yeager figure, this figure is scaled 1/8 with a height of 230 mm and her release date was on 1th July 2011. Charlotte E. Yeager is a character from the popular anime show Strike Witches.

Stand to attention! Good morning recruits, today I’ll show you a review about ALTER’s Charlotte E. Yeager figure, this figure is scaled 1/8 with a height of 230 mm and her release date was on 1th July 2011. Charlotte E. Yeager is a character from the popular anime show Strike Witches.

On first look Strike Witches is all about young witches who are fighting against the Nazi’s Neuroi in a World War II setting. The Neuroi invaded europe and the young witches are the only weapon that is effective against these new agressors. These witches are from many different countries, they are all members of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing which is stationed in Britannia.

All the witches have special skills to fight the Neuroi aside from their standard weaponry. For flying they are using striker units which are resembling the front half of warplanes from the 1940’s. The witches stick their legs inside of these striker units and are controlling them via magical power.

But that isn’t all for some reason the witches never wear skirts or trousers in this anime, so there are panty shots galore XD. Under the thick fanservice layer, this show is mainly about cute girl girl relationships and friendship, the main story of the second season wasn’t that good and the last battle was more a copy from the first season, but the character driven episodes were very good.

Half of the female characters can be considered as lolis or loli lookalikes, The producers didn’t want to completely throw out guys with other preferences, so a few mature and mature looking girls have been placed into the cast like Sakamoto Mio, Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke, Gertrud Barkhorn and the Charlotte E. Yeager. From the younger characters I really liked Lucchini, but so far I’ve seen no good figure of her, so I wasn’t that interested in owning a figure from Strike Witches to begin with. After some time I was interested in Kotobukiya’s Lynette Bishop and I noticed that ALTER’s Yoshika was a also great looking figure, but for some reason I decided to pass on both.

Intro

The prototype pictures of ALTER’s Charlotte E. Yeager instantly caught my interest and as colored prototype pictures appeared I fell in love with her look and the design of her striker unit.

Charlotte, nicknamed “Shirley” is sixteen years old and comes from the United States of Liberion like it is called in the anime. She has the rank of a Flight Lieutenant in the 501st Joint Fighter Wing. Her hair is orange, her body is tall and has a buxom appearance. Charlotte likes the thrill of speed, and highspeed actually is her special magical skill. I don’t know more about her aside that she has a generous personality and is the bosom friend of Francesca Lucchini, litereally ;D.

Now more about the figure, on her nice box we see the description of the Strike Witches anime in english and some data about Charlotte’s character and her striker unit. An instruction sheet tells you how to put the weapon inside her hand, how to exchange the propeller blades and about how to connect the figure with the base. The base is a blue circle with text printed on it. The base is connected to the figure via a small metal rod, the figure is a bit shaky when you are causing vibrations next to her, but it seems to be safe and shouldn’t be a big problem in the future.

Hair & Face

Her hair is orange and her strands are sculpted in a flaunting way, it shows a clean sculpting job and well done shading effects. When Charlotte’s witch power is activated she grows a pair of white rabbit ears and a tail, these parts are glued to her body and can’t be taken off. Between the ears is a rather big seam line, but it’s not noticeable in normal handling.

This figure has a very pretty face, her clear blue eyes and the small and small open mouth give Charlotte a good mooded and excited expression. Personally I would have liked to see a few faint blush marks on her cheeks to add more detail and liveliness to her apart from that pretty face.

Outfit & Body

Charlotte’s outfit has two layers of clothing, on top there is the olive military jacket which has a taunt fit from her well shaped boobs, underneath is a sand colored shirt. I love the way it comes forth underneath her jacket, the sculpting and shading of her jacket looks beautiful as well as all the small details on it, I also love her belt. The lack of a skirt or trousers appears not very bold on this figure as long as you display her from the front, this figure looks quite modest to be honest.

From the backside Charlotte shows that she’s from the Strike Witches anime, she has nice thighs and tight and sexy buttocks which are scantily covered by her white panties. They look very detailed, also her crotch area is more detailed than I would have expected it from ALTER.

The pose look like Charlotte is on her daily patrol, while having fun with one of her wingmen.
Her forward leaned upper body with the arched back, the flattering shirt and hair and also the position of her legs gives a lot of dynamic to this figure, she’d looks very good on every shelf.

I think it would have been a nice gimmick, when there where a option to display this figure with bare legs and with the striker unit, a leg swapping feature like GSC’s Nadeko Sengoku has.

Striker Unit

I like the design of her propellar legs a lot, the metallic finish and the detailed sculpting do look very cool. The small wings, the exhaust pipes and the noseart are also really cool, it really looks like a small plane :). The Striker Unit looks like new from the factory, maybe a few weathering or dry brush effects would have given it a more realistic look. But thats owing to the anime origin.

This figure comes with two different propeller blades, a pair where you can see every single blade and an in action pair which looks like a moving propeller. I was to lazy too change them, sorry.

Charlotte’s striker unit is based on the Mustang P51 D, a superior and powerful plane which was used by the US – Air Force in mid 1944 during WWII, it has a powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, among the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, she has the fastest striker unit. I always felt that her striker unit looked the best next to the loser planes based striker units of the the other girls ;P

The weapons aren’t integrated in the striker units, so the pilot has to carry them during the flight, like the real P 51 D Charlotte uses a M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, well the real P51 D had six.

The rifle has a nice gunmetal color with great dark shading effects, the brown wooden looking parts are also nice, but they look more like anime wood ;), a detailed belt is also attached to the weapon. One hand is detachable and so the weapon can be placed in her hand with one finger at the trigger. When you like, Charlotte can also be displayed without the weapon in her hands.

Final words

Charlotte E. Yeager is a beautiful figure from the Strike Witches lineup from ALTER, she has a pretty face and a nice mature looking, buxom body and like you can see a great looking butt ^^ With her olive jacket and sand colored shirt combination she also has a very good looking outfit. Another good point is the good looking flying pose the sculptor Makio Munetoshi had realized.

The painting of this figure looks great, especially the shading on her jacket and the metal finish of her striker unit. The sculpting is also very well done and nearly flawless, on my copy there is just a small pimple on her right buttock, it is really nothing very bad, but it should be mentioned.

I would have liked it if Charlotte had shown a little amount of blushmarks, to make her face a bit livelier, but aside from that I can’t really complain about this well done Charlotte E. Yeager figure.

What do you think, is Charlotte E. Yeager a Strike Witches figure you might like?

Here is the Taiga - Tiger Costume version from Ques q or like I called her "The slutty dressed Taiga" :D
She is scaled 1/8 and 200 mm long, the Taiga figure also comes with an additional face and a tail.

Hi my friendly readers after the voluptuos Menace which might have shocked a few of you XD Today I can show you a certain petite cutie, called Aisaka Taiga who you might remember as the main character in the popular lovecom anime Toradora which aired from autumm 2008 to 2009.

Taiga is a 16 year old high school girl, she is small and has a rather undeveloped body, by her classmates and the whole school she is nicknamed “palmtop tiger”. Taiga lives alone in an expensive appartment because her family situation is not very good. She developed an angry, bad mooded attitude, is easily offended by others and often reacts in a very violent way.
After she met the new transfer student Ryuuji her life slowly begins to change…

I like Taiga, but actually I never was such a big fan of her, that I really wanted to have a figure of her, but some month ago Ques q announced that they have a Taiga figure up their sleeve, which was loosely based on the illustration under that line, NYAH! or ROAR! ?

Have you ever heard of Ques q before? I admit I haven’t heard of them before and in general I don’t give figure manufacturers that much trust in advance, without knowing about their quality, but sometimes I also have this support the underdog attitude, haha Im so kind aren’t I?

Here is their Taiga – Tiger Costume version or like I called her “The slutty dressed Taiga”
She is scaled 1/8 and 200 mm long, the Taiga figure also comes with an additional face and a tail.
Ques q also anounced a version of this figure with a clean face without tiger stripes, this will be a limited and exclusive version which will only be sold at the upcoming Wonder Festival 2011.

Before I knew about this figure I’ve bought a T-shirt with Taiga in a tiger costume on it, so my reaction as I first saw this Taiga figure was “Oh awesome” I want to get this animal eared Taiga.
In anime I have an affection for female animal eared characters especially cat ears are my taste. Well I owned a figure with animal ears before, but I already sold her, I guess droopy dog ears weren’t my thing. Well Taiga has straight tiger ears and they definetely look better ^^.

At first I would like to mention that this figure resembles Taiga very well, even she never had a tiger costume in the anime. The head and the face look like Taiga, as well as the small and petite body. Lets talk about the hair of this Taiga – Tiger Costume version, who of you have watched the anime knows that Taiga has a quite voluminous hairstyle, the sculpting at the strands isn’t 100% smooth, but the dark and light shading effects on the hair look quite nice. The tiger ears above are painted accurately, one detail that I really like is the sculpted fur inside of them.

Thanks to the good sculpting of her face, it looks good from many angles. The cute face has tiger stripes on the cheeks and Taiga shows us a friendly expression with a small mouth. Taiga’s eyes look nice and clean, as well as the eyebrows and eyelashes. This figure has interchangeable faces and comes with this happy face and a second face with an cute, pondering expression.

The Taiga – Tiger costume version has an interesting pose with Taiga liying on her base in a playful manner, the sidely twisted hips add some sex appeal to the pose. I also like the articulation of her arms and the detailed paws, it is very cute NYAN NYAN NYAH!

Aside from the two faces also two tails are included with this figure, the straight tail can be exchanged with a heartshaped tail, both of them have a cute pink ribbon attached to their tip.

Outfit

I like the revealing wildchild dressup of this figure RAWR! Taiga wears her clothes with confidence without being shy at all. Our slutty dressed Taiga wears a tiny and short top with a tiger pattern. Taiga also wears a single sleeve and a single stocking with a tiger pattern in an asymmetrical fashion which looks pretty and interesting in combination with her outfit. As pants she has blue, scanty cutted hot pants with a well visible yellow thong underneath, yeah the little Taiga is wearing a thong, she wasn’t that bold in the anime, oh and she also has a tatoo on her left arm :D.

Lets take a closer look at her pants, the level of detail at the opened hotpants looks very good. When you flip Taiga over you can also see a silver painted button on it. The hot pants show a bit overpainting into the white fringe part, but the look resembles frayed hot pants very well I think. Theres also a slightly yellow overpainting above her thong, but both of her pants look good.

Body

Like in the anime little Taiga has a slender and petite body, nearly a bit too skinny if you ask me, but thats the way Taiga’s body is build. What Taiga obviously lacks at a certain area of her upper body, is compensated by the charm of a girl with a petite body. Taiga has nice hips, with an alluring waisteline and long, slender legs. Taiga also has a sweet little ass which is very well exposed by her scanty hot pants. Actually this review was supposed to turn out less ecchi
than the previous ones of Soniko and Menace. I guess I was wrong about that X<

Exchanging faces

To exchange the face of our cute Taiga you have to pull out the frontal hair piece and simply take off the old face, after putting everything back together there is Taiga with her pouting face.
Sorry that I haven’t used the pouting face in many pictures, but believe me I also like it, Taiga looks just adorable with the more tilted down eyebrows and the strong blush stripes.

Base

The base of this figure is a simple black oval with rounded edges and the Toradora logo printed on it. No parts of Taiga’s body sculpt has been flattened, but to prevent Taiga from sliding around on the base there have been put some deeper absorptions on top of the base.

Final Words

The quality of Ques q’s Tiger figure is mainly on the good side the sculpting of the body looks very good and has some nice details also the paintjob is good. The shading on her back and on her belly looks ok, but at some areas it could have turned out a bit finer. There are also a few minor overpainting issues at the dress to the skin passages for example and the sculpting of her her hair shows a few chunky cutted areas, aside from that the figure looks well made.
I would say the quality is a Mix of Wave and Kotobukiya, with a slightly better sculpting.

Im happy with the purchase of this figure, Ques q realized the wild girl in tiger costume theme of their Taiga – Tiger Costume version in a very good way. The tiger accessoires of her outfit like the ears, paws and the tail are a good addition to the rest of her outfit. Taiga looks cute and yeah she is also quite sexy. I would say she looks 50% cute and 50% bold in this creative styled outfit.
I guess on a more voluptous figure this kind of dress would look even better sluttier XD

The lying pose is also a nice aspect of this figure, I love how this figure of Taiga is posed with her playfully sculpted arms and the slightly twisted hips this figure shows a good combination of cute and sexy. The face and tail exchanging feature are a nice extra an can be easily assembled.

Hi there, today I’ll show you a real ero figure so this review is not really safe for work. It is about Menace from the popular Queen’s Blade franchise. This figure of Menace was produced by AmiAmi Zero she is scaled 1/7. Im slowly starting to prefer this bigger scale over my all time favorite scale 1/8, these slightly bigger figures have a somehow different feel to it. In the sitting pose Menace has a height of 16 cm and she was sculped by the talented Osiris who also was responsible for the sculpting of my beautiful Dwarf figure from Orchid Seed.

The products from AmiAmi Zero always looked ok to me, but I never felt much interest in them, that changed some weeks ago when I checked out the very nice Menace review of Ashlotte from HobbyHovel, his pictures of this attractive figure were very convincing. In the preview pictures she looked a lot different and never as nice like in the review.

The figure was released in May 2010 so I was a bit late with my urge to get her, first I thought I’m lucky when I found Menace for 90€ at a german shop, but they had no copy of her anymore they just forgot to update their in-stock number (I hate this) . So what should Wieselhead do; give up? – no way. In the end I got her from ebay for around 145,00€ including 21€ customs fee. On top of that I had to pick her up personally from the customs office and the employee from the office opened the package to have a look whats inside X<.

Well I can tell you in advance that this Menace figure was worth the trouble in end

First some Informations about her and the backstory she has in the world of Queen’s Blade, infos are taken from the book Queen’s Blade Bitoshi Gaiden – Tome of the Ancient Princess.

1000 of years ago, Mencae was the princess of the Amara kingdom she was raised by her father the king of Amara and lived an happy even though naive life. She was a quite lonely princess, but she found a very good friend in Setra, an magical, talkactive scepter. Unfortunately the king was betrayed and killed by Anarista the once thrustworthy mentor of Menace. Menace was resurrected by the Swamp Witch to have her as a servant like Airi and Melona, whom she often is teamed up with. The Swamp Witch also equipped her with magical power. As princess she hasn’t the right attitude to be a loyal servant. After being resurrected Menace cares more about restoring her kingdom than following the witches commands.

The characterdesign of Menace was done by F.S. an illustrator who made several Queens Blade books. F.S. was also involved in the sculpting process this figure looks true to her origin.

Like every Queens Blade character Menace has a quite revealing and sexy outfit with a certain theme. So here we have Menace with her egypt pharaoh dressup, she has a breastplate which doesn’t cover her boobs a lot, a fancy crown and a white scarf which is seperated into 5 parts.

Her outfit is sculpted and painted in a very detailed way, a color mix of mainly gold, silver, blue and white have been used and the glossy finish on the metal colored parts looks really great.
The breastplate, the crown and the scarf parts are actually castoffable, which is good when you are no real fan of *bling* *bling* pharao style. Underneath the breastplate is a navy blue blue top which exposes Menace boobs, most of the nice top can be seen at her backside.

This figure has interesting looking panties they resemble a shimapan (striped pantsu), but the closures at the sides give them a more fancy design. Other fixed parts are the ring armbands at her wrist, the brown bindings at her shanks and her high heeled chick shoes.

I prefer this figure without crown because I simple love the black hair of Menace, this figure is my first one with black haircolor and it suits her very well. I always had a weakness for black hair not only in the figure world ^^. I think black hair is cool, beautiful and attractive in general. The short haircut gives her the appearance of a self-confident, sexy women.

Another accessory of this figure is Menace faithfully companion Setra a speaking staff, he has a quite perverted attitude and likes to molester the opponents of her. The end of the staff is positioned under her butt, you could also flip the staff over If you like to XD. In case you dislike Setra or want to give her something different in hand you can pull the staff out of her hand.

The NSFW part starts now

that were all of my tame pictures, in the next pictures we will have a closer view at her rack. Please kick your grandma and your little siblings out of the room before proceeding haha.

After taking off the golden chestplate, the navy blue part of her dress remains which adds a bit more sexyness to her and accentuates her nicely shaped boobs and the well-defined puffy nipples. I like that her boobs are not as big as the ones from the figure from Megahouse. A bigger boob size than that from this Menace might have turned me off, maybe.

Despite the lazy princess attitude of Menace, she has a very well trained body with strong abdominal muscles, she has no six pack, but the two lines in the middle of her stomach, I don’t know the name of this muscle yet, but they are quite distinctive. Also her legs look very well trained. In comparison her arms and the beautiful round shoulders appear rather petite.

So this figure has a top notch sculpting and also a good production quality, I also like her skintone, the shading effects and the smooth looking texture of the paintjob in general.
The pose of Menace looks really great, I like the arched back and the slightly to the side leaning upper body with the position and shapes of her boobs. The weight of her body is mainly put on her left buttock and the left hand with the spread fingers. For a sitting figure, the pose of this Menace appears rather complex and shows the skills of the sculptor, I think you’ll either need a good sense of imagination or a real model to know how the pose and body should look.

I didn’t just bought the figure for the pretty body and boobs, the part which really made me spend my money was her beautiful face, framed by her short black hairstyle. I like her soft and detailed facial features like the cute chubby cheeks and the full lips of her mouth. Also the blue eyes are really pretty, they give this Menace figure a happy and attentive expression. The head of this figure is tilted downwards, to enjoy her face Menace has to be placed on a higher place.

The white scarf pieces are no fun to handle since no instruction manual is included, but it is possible to put the 4(5) pieces of the scarf around Menace under the acoustic emission of creaking pvc. Once fixed in position they won’t fall off so easily, only the transparent blue part which should be placed on her leg always falls off. I’ve put it in a box since I don’t want to lose it.

Some more fun pics from the shooting, these hats weren’t included with this Menace figure, the witch hat is from Pinky Streets Yuki Nagato figure and the pink one is a hat for dolls from Azone.

Final Words

So time to onclude my quite bare boobed review of this Menace figure. Without the review from Ashlotte from Hobbyhovel I would have overlooked this very nice figure, thx again for your review. I was surpirsed that AmiAmi zero could produce such a nice high quality figure.

Im really happy about the purchase of this figure, even though it was a high price I’ve paid, but it was worth it. Menace has a lovely face, also the sculpting and painting of her body looks great and very detailed, maybe too detailed at a certain area ;D. The rather complex pose of her is playful and sexy. There are a few optional parts you can put on the figure, but for me the figure looks best without crown and breastplate, on the other hand I really like to have the white scarf.

I like this figure a lot, but I admit that this figure is quite daring, even for my taste. In case such sexy figures are right up your alley, this would have been a good figure in your collection

Next time I will have a little more tamer figure on review Ques Q’s Taiga from the popular Anime Toradora in her Tiger outfit and I can tell you in advance that she looks very good.

In case you want more pictures and want to see how the scarf should be placed on her even the cursed transparent blue part please visit:
