Ey, ey oh! whats up people

Here we have a new Preorder Post with a few new purchases and many other alluring figures where a decision hasn’t been made so far.

There also was a delay for the Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA – Prisma Illya figure from Phat Company, that should actually be released in this month, unfortunately she was pushed back to April, which already is a quite busy month. I will also receive the Azusa doll in April, I’m still searching for a fancy outfit for her, even though the stuff she comes with is already pretty nice.

 New Preorders

I restricted myself a little bit, at least for once and also tried to prevent myself from loading too many figure preorders in the first half of the year, since I know what great things can be expected to be released in this year. Hmm yes these three are mainly sexy choices.

Katsuragi – Senran Kagura – Phat Company

After all the good impressions of Phat Company’s Hibari, this was a nearly no brainer for me. Even though the still running anime didn’t met my expectations, I still think that the girls are cute and have an appealing characterdesign. Katsuragi is quite creepy as a person you wouldn’t see that from her look, but anyway as energetic blonde with a bright smile and big boobs I want her in my collection. Next to Hibari’s design I like Katsuragi the most with her blue skirt and the  killer boots. As well as Hibari, Katsuragi is also scaled 1/8 the release is sheduled for August 2013

Sayaka Yumi – Shin Mazinger Zero – Ami Ami Zero

This figure has been a bit longer on my radar, I was captivated by the design and the lovely curves of Yumi. Her suit and the base have a sci fi fetish look, the base looks like a sex toy, but from what I know about Mazinger Zero it is none, it’ more something like a command center.

I was a big fan of Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-Hen which aired a few years ago. This figure of Yumi isn’t based on it, at least not in that outfit. I like the skin revealing outfit and her face, Yumi’s looks so damn great, well I also like that she features the style of old school manga very well. The figure is scaled 1/7 and has a length of 260 mm, in the final product, she will have alternative face parts. The figure is very detailed and for some reason her discounted price is relatively high with 9500 Yen, oh well I had ordered her for a higher price, thanks exchange rate.

Ami Ami Zero is popular for delaying their products, hopefully this figure will be more or less on time, she is sheduled for June 2013 *fingers crossed* kyahh I’m really excited about her.

Irma – Queen’s Blade – MegaHouse

 Hmm why the heck, have I ordered Irma actually!? You can only guess why Megahouse made a figure from the original Queen’s Blade at this this time, it seems that Tier from Tentacle Armada wasn’t the only one who wished for a figure of Irma, since the feedback was quite positive.

Wll, there are certain things that make this figure that appealing, Irma has an attractive petite bodyframe, still in a trained way, but she’s more slender than most Queen’s Blade characters. She also has this super dynamic pose and also a lot of details are on her body and outfit.

I really like her look, the body with the perky breasts, a nice back and a bubble butt compared to her body. Her dark skincolor makes a great contrast to her hair, actually. I would have sightly preferred a different face expression, but oh well the overall appearance is very good.

Irma is scaled 1/8, castoffable and her release date is sheduled for July 2013.

Touko Aozaki – Mahoutsukai no Yoru – ALTER

Sometimes you will get overly excited about a certain figure that you’ve seen in an early production status, only to feel dissapointed when it can finally be preorderd. I think her dress turned out beautiful, the green is gorgeous, but whats with the face, it looks so plain, pale and undetailed, at least in these first promotion shots. I don’t feel like throwing my money torwards her in advance anymore. Maybe I will be convinced another time,but not for once.

Yuki – Maid Yome – Orchid Seed

release – September

This ero figure is very popular at the moment and Im starting to fear that she will be sold out before release, which happens not that often with figures from Orchid Seed. Yuki is a bold figue without pantsu and have you noticed where her fingers are? actually I didn’t pay attention to it at first. Hehe, it should be fine when displayed normally. The figure looks very pretty, I like the flushred cheeks and her cute moaning mouth. You can display her with the “wet t-shirt” look with her boobs exposed or just admire her plump butt. So far I could resist preordering her, since I’ve planned to get her at a later date, but Im not sure how long this composure will last.

Nymph – Sora no Otoshimono forte – PLUM

Nymph seems to be the most popular Sora no Otoshimono character at least on the manufacurers side, Kotobukiya already made a second one as well as PLUM, which can be seen here. They’ve put her into a innocent white school swimsuit, that compliments her butt nicely. The 1/6 scaled figure of Nymph has a cute energetic pose, her face doesn’t look like exactly like in the illustration she is based on, beside that it appears like an adorable figure. In worst case just display her from the enchanting backside ;p As I was checking on her at Ami Ami, the site said it’s sold out. I’ve waited too long! but maybe I’m able to get her on or after the release date.

Hibiki Ganaha – THE IDOLM@STER – Kotobukiya

Kotobukiya is pretty serious in adapting the Idolm@ster characters in the Angelic Island versions, where they put the girls in beach fashion. I already found the majority of them pretty adorable like Haruka, Makoto and Yayoi even though I haven’t bouth them in the end. Hibiki is no exception in terms of cute bishoujo appeal, her face is very pretty and her fang adds a little more playfulness. I’m also a fan of dark hair and the kind of earings, Hibiki is using, lovely ^^.

Rumi Sumida – Gutto-kuru Figure Collection Sweet 02 – CM’s Corporation

That face expression is priceless and let’s this figure appear super adorable, I really like the lovely expression and interesting pose of this figure. Also her school uniform is appealing, I like the colors, the stockings and her sneakers. The only problem is that I have no experience and no trust in CM. I have serious doubts, that they will deliver a quality that satisfies me and with that in mind she is a few thousand Yen too expensive, still I would like to have her in my collection, since she looks so appealing in these promotional pictures. On second look her butt could be a bit bigger, but that is my least important concern and something I could live with.

Ok enough of the old stuff, now up to the following 4 new figures which were ordered recently.

Nitro Super Sonico – Soniko – Bath Time version

Hehe only one Soniko this time  XD There were two other ones, like the Soniko  – Tokonatsu version and Soniko – Gravure Swimsuit version that I could have ordered additional to the Native figure, but I will wait for other Soniko figures which might be announced this year.

Native’s Soniko comes with a quarter cutted bath tub, her bathing friends and a castoffable towel.
She is scaled 1/6 and will have a height of 250 mm, release is sheduled for May 2012.

While I like ecchi figures it is the first time that I ordered a figure from Native, I like their stuff in general, but I would feel uncomfortable with displaying most of their figures, since they expose their beaver in an offensive way. This Soniko here is more or less naked, but she doesn’t appear to be that indecent in this pose. Her body proportions are on the chubby and voluptuos side.
The face could show a cuter expression, but also her surprised expression is appealing to me.

Anyway Im really looking forward to get this big scale Soniko, from my expectation Native should deliver an excellent job with this figure. I ordered her at the proxy service of Tokyohunter for ¥11,325 and had to pay upfront, additional shipping costs will be added on release.

Rosario + Vampire – Kurono Kurumu

Do some of you remember Rosario to Vampire? it’s been some time since I watched this show.
Orchid Seed finally started to work on this figure which was a grey prototype since a few years. Recently they presented the colored prototype that turned up for preorders a few days later.

Ruby was a character of this show which I liked a bit more and also would like to see an appealing figure sometime, but Kurumu also was a likeable character, to be honest I liked most of girls.
Teenage Succubus Kurumu is scaled 1/7 and has a height of 245 mm. Her release is sheduled for late June. She wears a short maid/waitress dress with nice black gloves, stockings and shiny shoes, as to be expected from Orchid Seed, the skirt and parts of her top will be castoffable.

Even with clothes she shows a lot of her pretty skin, these shoulder blades the thighs *lovely*
Like Soniko she has also a buxom bodyframe and it’s really nice that sexy Kurumu will be 1/7 .

Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity – Nagisa

So enough of sexy godesses, here we have another exclusive figure, she’s called Nagisa.
Volks will release her sometimes this year, so far they haven’t announced a specific date.

To be honest I don’t know about her origin and at first I thought it was a creative version of Sakamoto-san from Strike Witches, but she’s not. I was glad that Nagisa didn’t turn out as GK, she turned out as affordable exclusive figure. Nagisa is scaled 1/8, I really like her elegant appearance in combination with the proud pose. The white navy like uniform shirt with all these golden details and the high boots look so nice. She doesn’t show the level of cuteness I normally like to have, but her face is really pretty with the light pink lips and the turquoise colored eye.

For ordering her I also used the proxy service of Tokyohunter for ¥9,800 upfront, normally I wouldn’t pay upfront for an item without an more accurate release date, but I had to hurry, since I already missed the first preorder round for her. I already missed Volks lovely Sasara Kusugawa.

Zegapain – Kaminagi Ryoko – Resurrection

No Im not kidding you, I really ordered this figure. Well she has no big boobs or an especially fancy dress nor is she a loli, but after seeing the anime Zegapain I fell in love with her character.
I wasn’t the only one who was enchanted by this figure, the fact that she was sold out before release prove the success of this not so fancy but still nice Kaminagi.

She is a kind and bubbly girl next door character, who likes making videos. Kaminagi Ryoko is scaled 1/8 with a height of 195mm and her release date was a few day ago on January 11th.
I like her bright and happy smile in combination with her dynamic standing one one leg pose.

Im very picky with figures from my favorite anime characters, but ALTERs attempt convinced me very quick. I wasn’t the first Kaminagi figure from ALTER, in 2007 they had produced this one.

And last but not least the updated Preorder roadmap, as you might notice in compraison to the last roadmap, I canceled the loli Takamachi Vivio from ALTER.

Hello Kitty to Issho – Vocaloid – Nekomura Iroha

This is not the little sister of Megaman, Nekomura Iroha is an advanced Vocaloid synthesizer, but I never heard of her before, even though there are a few song of her on youtube. She is made by Griffon Enterprise and will have a height of 17,5 cm. The release is in November of this year.

What first met my eye were the creative design and the very cute appearance of this figure. I really like the tight, red shinobi styled dress, the speaker gloves and the shiny helmet. Nekomura has a nice petite body and her cute face with the friendly big mouth are also quite enchanting.

Aizawa Nao – Comic Aun 2008 Cover Illustration

Here we have Aizawa Nao from Orchid Seed, she is scaled 1/7 and her release date is this November as well. This figure was announced earlier this year, but I admit that she didn’t convince me with the early promo pictures of her, the lighting is pretty bad, but some days ago I saw a picture of this figure as a final sample on Orchid Seeds blog. From what I’ve seen there, I decided to place my order for her. I love her pretty face with the bright and piercing eyes and the red brownish hair. Her pose is quite interesting and I like the fancy Halloween style outfit a lot. She will great next to my other 1/7 scaled figures Sonikoand Menace. As to be expected from an Orchid Seed figure there are 2 castoff options, I prefer the one without cape, but with bra.

Soniko Bondage version “Candy Pink”

This figure is also from Orchid Seed and scaled 1/7, her release date is in January 2012.
I already have the black color version of this figure and I’m not the person who buys the “same” figure twice, but of course for my beloved Soniko I make an exception :D. This new color version features a nice combination of baby blue, white and pink. In private I also hope the new version will have more prominent blush marks than my other one with the black outfit. Maybe I’ll sell the version I like less later, but for once I’m planning to display both of them together.

Choco*Ochi, Super Sonico Collection x Mota

Concealed behind this strange title is a set of three different chibi figures of Soniko, they are produced by Orchid Seed and will have a size of 8 cm. This set will be released in February 2012 and contains a casual dressed Soniko with guitar, a naked apron Soniko and a Soniko cosplaying as Al Azif. You can exchange some parts of them like the face for example.

Oshino Shinobu

So far Good Smile Company made  nice figures from the popular Bakemonogatari franchise.
Aside from their Hachikuji Mayoi, I was partially interested in all of them, but there always was a small part inside of me who made me pass in the end, sorry Kanbaru and Hanekawa. But I instantly fell for their Oshino Shinobu, she is scaled 1/8 and will be release in March 2012.

This Shinobu figure is sculpted after the illustration of the BluRay cover. The base looks very creative with the donuts and the parts that belong to the other characters from this anime.
Shinobu herself looks very cute, with the beautiful red eyes and the soggy donut in her mouth, she also has this lovely light dress and the helmet is also a very cool item, it can be taken off btw.

I will probably order the Black Hanekawa figure from ALTER, but so far I couldn’t bring myself to place another order. I also would like to order Naoe Kanetsugu, Ichijou Ayane and Astraea.
I don’t trust Kaitendo enough to pay so much for Ayane and Astraea will probably go on sale.

Im really looking forward to receive the lovely 1/6 scaled Asuka from Max Factory next month!

Hi here is a new figure review of one of my latest purchases

This Hyper Nurse Painkiller Kotone-chan figure was an Hobby Japan magazine exclusive mailorder, which I’ve ordered via Tokyohunter, a proxy buyer service from japan. I placed my order on december the 2nd 2011, the official price tag was 8190 Yen, with proxy fee I paid 11500 Yen + 2600 Yen shipping, quite a lot but actually I didn’t care much about it.

Kotone chan is a new edition of the character made by Keumaya, who also made two other Kotone figures, one that looks similar to the new Kotone and a black version. The figure in this review is around 190 mm in height, no scale was mentioned but I would say it is something between 1/8 and 1/7 scale. This cute nurse figure was released in late june 2011.

Kotone chan made her first appearance in an old doujinshj manga. I really regret that I checked out this perverted crap in preperation for this review, honestly that was a quite disturbing experience, I wouldn’t recommend to read it, what has been seen can’t be unseen

The new Kotone appeared in a far more modest manga which was published in Hobby Japan magazine, she also takes part in the cool looking PSP Game Queens Gate Spiral Chaos.

While the two old figures had the appearance of a slender girl with a small chest, the new Kotone-chan appears more like a loli, she has short legs, her hips and the butt are smaller, she has a slightly bigger head and her face is a lot cuter than the one from the other Kotone’s.

The base is a simple black disk, it’s diameter is quite big and not what I would call space saving. Unfortunately the right foot of Kotone doesn’t really fit on the peg, maybe I’ll try it again with more force. On the other hand this figure is balanced enough to be able to stand without base, which is always nice when you don’t want to have the black disk in the picture, but you shouldn’t place her on a shelf without the base, to prevent Kotone chan from falling on the ground.

Under her nurse cap Kotone has dark brown hair, she has a cute pigtail hairstyle with red beads around them, also the detailed strands and her bangs look very nice. In her pretty face she has beautiful grey and lively eyes, the dark colored open mouth is another nice part of her face.

The outfit consist of a light grey shirt and a jacket with red accents, at her hip region she has just two belts. The outfit is a simplified version of the one from the older Kotone figures, even though many design elements have been reused on the new Kotone chan, like the silver crosses, the sleeves and the boots for example.

The colorsetting of the outfit isn’t very vivid the main colors that have been used are red, black and light grey. The flow and sculpting of her shirt and jacket looks nice but a few shading effects could have been added to polish the overall look. I really like the detailed high heel boots with the red collar and the big, heavy looking belt around Kotone chan’s hips looks very cool as well.
The paint on the lower parts of her legs should give the look of nylon stocking, but its hardly visible and not very well done, at first I thought that they’ve just messed up the shading *lol*.

Kotone-chan comes with many funny accesoiries like an injection shotgun, a creative designed bonesaw and a some kind of powerglove, bonesaw and shotgun can be placed into her hand and the holders of the belt, to put on the glove you have to pull off the hand and the wristcollar first.

Thx to round pegs the upper half of her arms and the hands can be rotated, which gives a bit posing variety, it is fun to play around with her that way, if only her head had a peg like this…

Hobby Link included no instruction manual for this figure, which really sucks. This figure has a cast off feature, from my point of view there was no way that the shirt would fit over her head, so I pulled at her head believing that there must be a peg hidden somewhere. Well there was no peg hidden, but the head came off anyway, I ripped off her head, what was her price tag again?

After that accident casting off was very easy, pull out the lower part of both arms and the pull the shirt and the two belts over her stumps and you’re good to go, afterwards I glued her head back in place and took some pictures for putting her clothes back in place I had to rip off and glue her head again XD. Just to give you a short impression a picture of the headless Kotone chan.

Under her jacket and shirt the petite body of Kotone comes to light, I ordered this figure without actually knowing how she would look underneath. Under her shirt she wears a combination of a bra and a weapon holster which leaves her chest area open. Kotone’s body looks rather un developed than appealing, but she has a cute belly button and a nice hip area, she looks more loli than expected and I felt a bit guilty for undressing her but she also looks cute without clothes.

Her body is very well sculpted and also from her back she shows very well made details as well, unfortunately at her left side there is an odd bend mark, which disturbs the positive impression a bit. In my opinion the pervs @ HobbyLink should have given her at least an optional bikini top for covering her nipples. I might sound a bit weird with my complaints, of course I was the one who bought her in the end, but I feel better to display a loli character like Kotone in my room without a bare chest. I will try to give her another set of clothes like in my dressing up figures post.

In another review of her I also noticed that the black underwear thing which acts like the last bit of modesty can also be casted off. Hahaha well I guess the review was already indecent enough.

Final Words

Kotone chan is a very cute and interesting designed figure, her weapons are cool and creative. The sculpting of Kotone is very well done, aside from the strange bend mark at her left side.
The paintjob isn’t that well done in some aspects, there is a bit under and overpainting at parts of her outfit and inconsistent shading effects can also be found. At the end Kotone is a well done figure, nothing more and nothing less. So was this figure worth the 11500 Yen?

Not really I have to admit, the new edition of Kotone is nice, but overall it is not really what I would expect from an exclusive figure. It was my third exclusive figure and my experience is that the companies mainly want to make extra money instead of making a figure with really good quality. In the future I will be even more cautious before placing an order for exclusive stuff.
If I had seen her earlier I could have bought the black version of Kotone for less money but overall better quality, haha well the problem is that this figure is bundled with the loathly manga. Aside from som nag Im happy with my Kotone chan
