It’s been quite some time since my last Preorder post, let’s say I didn’t order as fast as before.
Since last post I ordered 4 more great figures and as rare happenng 1 girly figma.

In case you are wondering how I can buy new figures all the time, at the moment Im playing “old figure out – new figure in” it’s a bad way of maintaining your collection hobby and I feel really bad for selling them, but I don’t have so much space availabe to keep them all forever.

At least keeping my very favorite figures remains top priority, it’s not like I’m going to sell these.

Next to the usual ecchi happyness I ordered some iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls related stuff.

Figma – Jougasaki Mika – Max Factory

Hey a figma! This young lady was sold as limited exclusive item through the GSC store, I guess you could have bought her on last Wonfes, as well. It’s a flashy figma with a cool outfit, what appears to be a school uniform, but with a very casual touch, overall a very feminine design. I mainly got her for her vulnerable blush face and the pretty hair, the grin is rather scary

Shibuya Rin – New Generation version – GSC

I was sure to get this figure since I’ve seen her as grey prototype on Wonfes. As I’ve seen her painted, I was quite impressed by this fabulous songstress, a lot of frill and shiny dark colors, the fine details on her dress look great. Rin herself is also a petite and pretty girl with a cute singing face, I love how she is swinging her microphone stand, these boots look great.

Im not as hyped about this purchase as before, but it should be fun to photograph her

Shimamura Uzuki – New Generation version – GSC

Another Idol, now it’s enough sir. While Rin is a dark raven Uzuki comes as sweet rasperry cake.
Her cheerful and energetic look and attitude is contagious. The outfit is rather playful, yet skin revealing. She has an exposed belly and a short, short skirt. I like the detailed pattern on her frilly skirt . I would have been satisfiied with the closed eyes face only, but GSC played it safe and ships Uzuki with a second face to please more collectors, it’s good to have the option.

It would be cool if the sizes of Rin and Uzuki would match in the end.

Yagyuu – Senran Kagura – Vertex

I like Senran Kagura and I already have two figures from that line, Hibari and Katsuragi (review comes soon). Senran Kagura is popular for featuring characters with a bit more meat, where it matters (￣▽+￣*). Yagyuu’s complete dress is a little boring in the manga, but in this figure adaption her “uniform” is in a damaged state with parts of her scarf and a torn skirt. I was close to order her since some weeks, but delayed my decision a bit longer until I felt convinced enough. I love her pretty face, the super twintails, the super sexy curves in combination with the pose and her traditional umbrella. Why have I resisted so long after all? she’s my type of figure.

Yuki – Maid Yome – Orchid Seed

Don’t buy masturbating figures, that was something I really never wanted to do, but ok rules in collecting figures are meant to last for only a short period of time. Orchid Seed makes a lot of appealing figures, but Yuki is an exceptional pretty figure. At first I wanted  to talk Miette into ordering her, but after checking a few first reviews and pictures, I knew that I wanted this one, after all I snatched one of the last copy’s at Hobby Link Japan. Yuki’s ecchi activities aside, the character is also cute with a sweet face, vanilla colored hair, a nice skintone and perfect boobs.

Upcoming figures I’m interested in – Im not sure about these, but at least I find them overly appealing and like to list the upcoming or just announced figures.

Princess Milk – Hime to Boin – Orchid Seed

Argh, crotch focused figures are so hard to display without feeling a creep, I could put a flower pot in front, wait thats a great idea XD. It’s mean to give ecchi figures such beautiful faces and the figures seems to be sculpted nicely, it seems nearly impossible to pass for me （*´▽｀*）.

Sonico – Santa, Swimsuit version – Alter

Sonico! Alter makes a figure of my beloved 2D girl. Wait, busty figures ? They don’t do that very often, but having a sweet Sonico from Alter has a nice ring to it. This early production sample is already enchanting enough with important blush marks and a tight bikini. The christmas hoodie is castoffable, to give Sonico an all seasons beach girl appearance. Ah yes, she’s scaled 1/7.

release date will be in 2014, hopefully Alter will overcome their vicious circle of delays next year.

Airy Ardet – Shining Blade – Kotobukiya

A simple, conservatie figure adaption of Airy, but still I find it cute how the kind and innocent looking girl is carrying her basket full of bread of happiness, maybe I’ll get her after release.

Sonico – Mouse version – Wing

(ﾟ∀ﾟ)☞  That’s really good stuff, not painted, but there’s already a release date, so it shouldn’t take too long until preorder will be accepted. That’s a nice Sonico figure with the usual combination of cute and sexy here she is with funny mouse ears. It looks like they transferred some fat from her boobs to her buttocks, which is a great design choice for this lovely figure.

Rias Gremory – Highschool DxD –  Pole Dance version – Kaitendoh

I feel offended when a character I know gets onebad figure adaptions after another, everything before Kaitendoh was a real dissapointment in my eyes. This is a chance for a promising Rias Gremory figure, the sculptor of this figure, Katsuaki Nemoto  already worked on Cat Lap Milk, so this Rias should turn out very well without much risk. She is shown from the funny, no spectacular Ending Theme of the first season of High School DxD. The face is spot on and the pole dance outfit looks good. I wouldn’t mind to own this attractive figure earlier or later.

Ousawa Miu – Y-shirt version – FREEing

This simple yet nice figure of  Miu, is portrayed in a self confident, nonchalant pose, but her facial expressionsays something different and  appears rather flustered, befitting her character in the anime. The long twintails look nice, but unfortunately the hair is not very detailed, same applies to her open shirt. The body nevertheless looks quite nice. On the bottomline I’m not getting this one at full price, but maybe when her prize drops.

Yagami Hayate – Nanoha The Movie 2nd A’s – Gift

A new sandcastle friend! I love my cute and demure big scale Fate figure, but I think Hayate is even cuter with her realistic haircolor, friendly blue eyed face and a lightly opened mouth, she warms up my heart. I think she is a very good addition to the already released happy Nanoha and calm Fate 1/4 scaled swimsuit figures from Gift. I don’t know where they buy these skimpy bikini’s, I think it’s to spice things a bit up. Hayate is  lovely like this, maybe she’ll need a hat.

 Fin

After the crude figure review from last time, this time it will be more vanilla, I guess.

So another figure review, I’ll try to reach the one post per week pattern again, at the moment it is a bit difficult to find the time for taking pictures and writing depends mainly on my mood.
This time Fate Testarossa, the cute, timid loli with a bad childhood is the model of choice.

No the figure  isn’t based on the illustration but I found this picture cute and quite fitting to add.

This figure of Fate Testarossa from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st was manufactured by Gift and released in the end of June in 2013. Fate is scaled 1/4 and has a height of  27 cm. I often mentioned that I like Nanoha Takamachi quite a lot with her enchanting voice and the kind personality. But oh well, it’s always the same story, whenever I have a favorite character I am so picky that I often can’t decide to get a figure of this certain character.

Gift also made a Nanoha figure in Bikini, but I wasn’t that convinced to order her in the end. What convinced me to get the super sized Fate was my general liking for the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha anime and a good review from Tier, I found her to be gorgeous and wanted her for myself.

Hair & Face

Gift often has a little freedom when creating their figures, they often differ from the original source, sometimes this freedom is not to every bodies liking, but sometimes it’s also for the better.Well Fate is close to her anime appearance and resembles my image of Fate very well.

Fate is presenting herself in a wonderful twin ponytail hairstyle, decorated by dark blue ribbons. Her hair is very long and has a yellow tone with orange shading. The strands have a nice level of detail and are accurately sculpted, I really like the separation at the ends of her ponytails.

What qualifies Fate as a fully fledged loli character is of course her big head in comparison to her body. Even though Gift added no cute blush marks, the face of Fate is very well done, it has a nice shape and this gives Fate a cute expression that fits the characters personality. The figure shows big puppy eyes, a tiny stubs nose and a slightly opened mouth. As little gimmick you can decide to display Fate with her magical device Bardiche in her mouth or without it.

Body

It is no secret that Fate is a rather young girl in Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st, but if it weren’t for her big head, Fate could also be a slender, yet older teenager girl. A teenager girl with a flat chest of course. Anyway, Fate’s body looks really good from the front or the back  there are some nice highlights like her detailed back with the scapulars or her lower back. The transition from hips to thighs is also very well done. The legs have a well balanced length, they are not too long and not too short. The sculpting of the whole body is especially smooth.

Outfit

I can’t really remember a scene in the Movie where Fate was wearing a bikini, but that doesn’t really matter. Her outfit consists of a two piece bikini in white at the front and dark blue at back. With the two layers and the laces at the front her top has a cute, sporty design.

The slip is rather tiny and skin revealing, to create the effect of the fabric’s stretchyness there is lighter shading at the part that covers her buttocks. There are some realistic wrinkles at the front and the back, from a lower angle you can notice a detail you wouldn’t expect from a loli figure. To have more  stuff to dress her and to have an additional item, the figure comes with a Parero. It has to be placed with a little force in both hands, but its worth the effort. It goes very well with Fate and has a nice design with wrinkles and a printed on hibiscus pattern.

Smaller details are also part of the figure, there is silver necklace, different colored bands and a white ribbon wrapped around her arms. There is also a tiny footchain and blue beach sandals.

Pose

The pose of her is nothing special, but it creates a fitting mood and convincing pose of Fate in a beach like scenario, I’m actually a fan of such simpler, standing straight poses. This is also something I really like about the upcoming Sonico – Package version from Orchid Seed.

It seems like Fate wants to close or eventually open her parero, to have both hands free she put Bardiche in her mouth while walking towards the beach restaurant. I love these smaller details about the pose, like placement of her arms or the nicely tilted head. The base is a simple shiny white disk with a small diameter that connects to her feet, it will win no beauty contest but gives the figure a secure stand without grabbing away much attention from the figure.

Final Words

I never expected to buy an 1/4 scaled figure before since it seems a little too big, but Fate is actually not taller than an adult 1/6 scale figure, only the head is far bigger in comparison.

Large scale figures can actually be very charming, even from a distance you can examine every nice bit of the figure, which is especially true for the face. Fate has such a nice face, I love it. The figure offers an interestingly designed bikini and a fantastic body sculpting. Oh this actually my first figure from Gift, well their quality is very high, there are no unnecessary seam lines or flaws in the hair, also the paintjob is nice and clean. I paid 9670 Yen for Fate and chose registered SAL, worth of 3050 Yen for shipping, nevertheless I’m really happy about the purchase of this figure.

Maybe the topic lost it’s hype appeal by now, but I still want to list the remaining figures that caught my attention, so here we go with the featured figures from a number of popular manufacturers.

Is there really a need for more Madoka figures from GSC? sure this appears more creative and dynamic than the first batch of figures, but still it’s a little odd.

Magi – Labyrinth of Magic – Morgiana

Magi was a cool anime that will continue soon, aside from shounen cry baby Alibaba’s depression, it was totally awesome. Alibaba got no figure, but Morgiana an Alladin. The character designs were very appealing and therefore I think these figures will be great.

In the official illustration the Amazon character looked a little deformed to me, here MegaHouse gives her more appealing shape, even the face seems softer now. I like the design a lot even though I prefer it more petite in general, the Amazon is sexy with her muscles and overall appearance.

I totally wished for a PVC adaption of these two elaborate Garage Kits, my heart literally skipped a beat as I saw Altines and Altlene on Wonfes. I like the Busou Shinki anime quite a bit, the tiny, kind robots were really adorable. This might be really cool, I slightly prefer Altines to be honest.

Can Native figures never wear panties?  Obviously not, aside from that I really like this figure, she is cute on her chair. With the glasses and the lab coatshe looks a bit like a shy yet adorable laboratory girl. She partially stimulates hides her genitals with a test tube, this might appear a bit too bold.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT – Kashiwazaki Sena

A buxom 1/4 scaled Sena figure isn’t bad at all ヾ(＾-＾)ノ.  I imagine that this figure will look beautiful after it got painted. Sure it’s just another swimsuit figure, but Sena is the prtotype of a natural bikini beauty and she’s big and sculpted in a nice pin up pose.

Nitro Super Sonic – Sonico – Tiger Parka 

For some reason I honestly dislike this figure, I dislike it as much as I like it, actually.  A cheerful Sonico with a “casual” outfit is nice, but here she looks so exaggerated happy that it nearly looks faked. When I had sorted out my thoughts about her, I might place my order.

Even though Akane turned out as a rather silly character, she is really popular among figure manufacturers. I think Volks figure is the best so far and captures all of her personality, too bad she’s a Garage Kit, but maybe I will try to acquire her nevertheless.

Hi fans of bishoujo figures, an awesome event, that every passionate figure collector was looking forward to happened on July 29th, this summer, it was the Wonderfestival Summer 2012.

There all of the Japanese figure manufactures presented their upcoming figures and revealed their plans for future products. I was very excited about it and after I’ve seen all this super nice figures I’m quite happy, it was one of the reasons that this post is a rather long one.

Is it just me or had we a lot of better figures than on the Winter Wonderfestival, anyway here are the figures that triggered my interest divided by manufacturers in non alphabetical order.

Alter

From the Altair line up there surprisingly was a figure of Waver Velvet, the master of Rider in the Fate/Zero story. I don’t have male figures at all in my collection, but I admit that Waver was kinda cute and likeable. The figure of Waver Velvet is scaled 1/8 and is scheduled for 2013.

The unpainted figure of Mirakurun already caught my interest. She is apparently not based on the cosplaying Chinatsu, but she’s the real deal from the tv show the girls of Yuru Yuri watch. It’s a cute magical girl figure and I like the design. Mirakurun is scaled 1/7 and will be released this year. Alter will also make a figure of Akaza Akari my favorite Yuru Yuri character, her personality and mine are quite similar, only partially of course. The figure has a rather plain school uniform, but face and pose are enchanting. She is scaled 1/8 unlike Mirakurun and is scheduled for 2013.

From Shining Blade we get this awesome Mistral Nereis, the Wonfes before she was presented with a closed mouth which I liked a bit more. Well, judging from the features of their recent figures, a second head option might be possible. Aside from that it is a great, dynamic figure. She’s also quite busty if you haven’t noticed. The figure is scaled 1/8 and scheduled for 2013

GSC has an epic motorbike, but ALTER has the more athletic bike and the hotter girl on it. Amane Suzuha from Steins:Gate was a surprise for me. With the close resemblance of the Huke artstyle she looks kinda scary unlike her sweet anime version, but take a look at this level of detail. The figure is scaled 1/8, the prototype is painted but no release date has been announced.

Alter is slow with the Bakemonogatari figures, but isn’t this Sengoku Nadeko figure not worth the wait? A very playful pose with a twinkling face, she comes fully dressed with trousers and a cool hat. Sengoku is scaled 1/8 and is scheduled for a release in 2013. A nice GSC vs ALTER

From the unknow, at least to me light novel Mahou Tsukai no Yoru, we see the magician Aozaki Touko again. You also might know her from Tsukihime and Garden of Sinners. A very attractive and proud pose befitting her character, the dress willl be dark green in the final product. This Aozaki Touko is scaled 1/7 and the release is scheduled to happen in 2013 as well.

Orchid Seed

Orchid Seed surprised with a whole lot of grey prototypes, they’ve put a number of their only illustration status figures on display there. Well they were reserved in announcing release dates.

The Queens Blade drill instructor Alleyne was also a surprise for me and OS decided to make her in an impressive 1/6 scale, an 1/6 elf girl (❁´◡`❁) what could be better. Alleyne is wearing her leaf swimsuit and has a slightly wet look from bathing in a lake. The figure will have a height of 270mm and the release date is sheduled to happen in 2013.

An ecchi girl like Panty Anarchy should be made by a company with the same tag. The bold Panty is presented in a naughty and quite teasing way, captured while pulling down her underwear as fast as she can. I really like necktie and the flow of her hair in combination with her nice smile.
The Panty Anarchy figure is scaled 1/8 a release date wasn’t announced so far.

Twintails, glasses and busty, there are several reasons for liking this Cover Girl  from Comic Megastore magazine, Luth rubbed this nice one under my nose. She looks good and has an unexpected elaborate base in form of a bookshelf, a drawer and pillars of books. Cover girl will be scaled 1/7 a release date wasn’t announced so far.

Another figure which is also based on a cover of a magazine is the summer holiday themed Push!! Cover Girl I already loved the illustration, but the prototype turned out really cute and pretty, I love her hat, the hair, the face, as well as the sculpting of the body and the clothes.
I like this one a lot. Push!! Cover Girl is scaled 1/7 as to be expected no release date was issued.

Chouhi Ekitoku, a character from Ikki Tousen was a figure I was waiting for 2 or 3 years since illustration only state, I was quite happy as I learned that her colored prototype was going to be presented on this Summer Wonfes. Well she didn’t really turn out like I imagined or maybe the few pictures which were taken weren’t good enough. The skirt is too long and overall Chouhi looks rather chunky in this dress. Well, I still like her, but Im not as enchanted as expected.

Three words for the Super Soniko – Sonicomi PKG version YES! YES!! YES!!! Bikini, star patterned pink stockings and heavy boots, thats already ordered hell yeah! She has a rather calm but still sexy face expression. I also like the standing pose of her a lot, I don’t always need something complex space consuming. Sonico is scaled 1/5 and will hopefully be released in 2013.

Orchid Seed is not all about T&A and here we have the GK adaption of Flandre Scarlet from Touhou. Im curious to see how this will turn out in the future. There also was another GK adaption of a Touhou character named Hijiri Byakuren. It’s nice to see that more companies adapt such lovely GK and turn them into affordable and complete and painted PVC figures.

Max Factory

Max Factory  also makes Lineage II figures now. I already have the cute Dwarf class figure from Orchid Seed, but a beautiful Elf would also be nice ^^ Max Factory also made a Dark Elf, but  I really like the design of this pretty Elf. She is scaled 1/7 and will be released somewhere in 2013

A character unknown to me was also presented, she is called Inaba Himeko and is from the newly started anime Kokoro Connect. She looks so cute and enchanting with her face and the ribbon at her shirt. Himeko will be scaled 1/8 and probably released next year.

There was also this figure of the kind and weird Kurokami Medaka from the anime/manga Medaka Box, she resembles the artstyle of the anime very well. The eyes and the mouth are really nice and give the figure a cool striking look. The uniform looks good as well and I like the way her cleavage is sticking out. This figure is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 205 mm.

Megahouse

Oh look another standing Kurokami Medaka in her extravagant school uniform, ok they are a little different. I like the face of this one a bit more, it has a more of a bishoujo feel to it than the one from Max Factory. Well on a certain magazine scan it looked really, really bad, but the figure they’ve presented at their booth looked 100% better and I like it quite a lot. Medaka is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 200 mm. It’s difficult to say which one is better, which one do you prefer?

Freeing

Sonico still expands her popularity, I secretly decided not to buy every figure of her, but I really want want to have all the nice ones ^o^ Here we have this good looking Sonico – rabbit ear version and you know what, she is scaled 1/4!! This figure portrays a happy Sonico in a frilly and attractive maid outfit, she is so cute I can just love her. But where too display this darling?

Freeing had a grey prototype of her last Wonfes, but now Takamachi Nanoha from Mahou Senki Lyrical Nanoha Force is here painted and proud. Even though I know that Freeing figures doesn’t always have the cleanest sculpting and paintjob on their smaller scale figures, but this cool 1/8 scaled Nanoha looks very good and surprisingly the release is still planned for this year.

Gift

Gift presented a Fate Testarossa as match for the Nanoha which will be released this month. Both are from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st where they are still very young. Fate looks like a seductive loli, long hair big eyes undeveloped curves put in a skimpy bikini and with Bardiche in her mouth. She looks even more borderline than the innocent Nanoha.
You can also look at her with a neutral mindest, she is a nice figure of a cute young girl in a nice pose, I like how she is holding her towel. Fate is scaled 1/4 and is scheduled for a 2013 release.

GSC

I don’t want to hurt the feelings of the people who own the first version of Tenshi from Angel Beats! , but this new one is just stunning and looks so elaborate in comparison. Tenshi with her wings looks innocent and simply beautiful with her bare feet and the flow of her summer dress and the pose just look nice. Angel Beats! is a tad older, but nevertheless it’s a very promising figure. Apparently she is scaled 1/8 and will already be ready for a release in January 2013.

Insane Black ★ Rock Shooter  looks awesome in various ways it’s an really impressive looking sculpt with a dynamic pose and a lot of details. It is just an 1/8  scaled figure, but it seems like it will need a lot of shelf space, maybe too much. This figure is scheduled for a 2013 release.

There also was a figure from Nisemonogatari  one of Koyomi’s sisters Araragi Karen, I really started to like her during the anime. The figure looks quite nice in regards of  a cute and energetic face expression, pose and overall sculpting the yellow outfit might look great in the final product. The figure will probably be scaled 1/8 and you can expect her to be released somewhere in 2013.

Kyahh! A loli elf. no, a cute loi elf , she is called Lysette Kalar and her origin is Rance Quest.
I really think that she is super adorable and Im really curious about how she will look as painted prototype as it will decide about my purchase. The release date of Lysette Kalar in January 2013.

Oh no! there was no hint of a scaled Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse figure in the super cool combat suits at all, maybe this is one of my disapointments on this Wonderfestival, there is only a Nendoroid of Takamura Yui in her suit. The release can be expected in 2013.

Native

I paid more attention towards figures of Native recently, in most cases a purchase would be out of question for me since they are too ecchi. From their booth I liked the figure based on a original created character named Cat Girl. The waitress outfit and the bendove pose close to the floor with stretched out tongue pose is super alluring and the sculpting looks excellent. The illustration with the milk on the floor is very suggestive and a bit dirty, but I like this sexy figure overall. Surprisingly for a figure of Native she is wearing panties, so Cat Girl is my must have.

Kotobukiya

Female figures in fancy dresses wielding big weapons are cool. Kotobukiya also agrees about that and presented a standing Sakyua from Shining Blade. With her dress she is goes under the name “Fire version” I think sh will look great in her red dress with the nice cleavage. Im also a fan of her sadistic smile. Sakuya sama is an impressive 1/6  scale, the release is sheduled in 2013.

It seems like Kotobukiya is the only well known figure manufacturer that produces scale figure of Sora no Otoshimo. This is actually their second Nymph. In this standing pose which pulls more attention to her dress Nymph looks very cute with her flowing twitails and the transparent wings. To me she appears like a 1/8 scale figure. The release should occur somewhere next year.

I like Fate Testarossa, but Im actually not a fan of her. Nevertheless this might the first figure of her that is very appealing to me. She is posed in a dynamic flying battle pose with a shouting mouth from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st. This Fate looks cute and badass at the same time I also like the details of her outfit quite a lot. Release is in 2013.

Yamato

Look another Sonico from the Creators’ Labo line up. Here she is playing with a cat and is teased by perverted cat as well, she is sculpted in a lying pose, her style looks similar to the first one presenting her in a more model like than slightly chubby way. I planned not to buy more figures of her in an unhappy or teased looking state, but maybe this one will be funny and cute enough to make an exception, the accessories also look cute. further details haven’t been issued.

Griffon

The pose was nice, but unfortunately the face of Sena’s GSC couldn’t convince me, the same goes for the one from Megahouse. Surprisingly there was also a figure of Kashiwazaki Sena announced showing her in the Monster Hunter version  from a certain episode of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai anime. So far it’s just illustration status. Im a bit sad that it will be made by this company, but before I judge this figure lets wait for the painted result maybe in 2013.

Fin

This should conclude my “little” post about the nice figures of Wonfes Summer 2012, of course I won’t buy everything I’ve listed here, but a few figures will definitely find a place in my collection.

From my point of view it was a great event, I had high expectations and they were mainly fullfilled, on the downside there was not a single scale figure from Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? nothing from Muv Luv characters in combat suits and nothing from Cheerleader Sonico either.

Two times each year the probably most important fair for figure manufacturers and figure fans takes place in Makuhari Messe Hall in Tokyo. This winter wonfes was the first one in 2012 and I was eagerly waiting for the new figure announcements from the different manufacturers.

Lets start in alphabetical order with the much vaunted ALTER company

From the Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai anime they decided to make a figure of Honma Meiko. It’s a nice compact combination of base and figure, personally Im no big Menma fan, but the figure and the base recreate the atmosphere of the anime very well.

From the Wii game Oboro Muramasa ALTER brings us another figure, after they already made Momohime(there will be a re-release, btw). The figure is named Kongiku and is a well endowed fox spirit. With the same sttyle as Momohime this might turn out as a really pretty figure

Tales of Xillia was also chosen as origin for one of their figures, character Milla Maxwell comes off in an elegant and proud pose, the main attention grabbers are the wildly flowing hair and the interesting design of her warrior outfit.

ALTER also decided to make something from the previous Last Exile anime, here is a wonderful 2 figure combination from an Range Murata illustrations, it shows the cute Alvis and Lavie sitting on a futuristic bench. The sculpt will be scaled 1/8 and the release date is still TBA.

Yuri Yuri an anime from the previous season also received ALTER’s attention, they’ll make a figure of Mirakurun in an adorable loli witch outfit, I haven’t watched the anime, but I have a soft spot for magical girls and loli witches. This one might turn out very cute.

Chara-Ani made a very nice figure of Touwa Erio from the Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko anime, its so cute how she is hugging her futon while lying on a matress. Her petite body was captured hopfully they will deliver a good final product. The figure just went up for preorders and the release is sheduled for May 2012. She’s scaled 1/8 and the whole thing is 170 mm long.

CM’s Corporation also made a creative attempt for an Touwa Erio figure, here Erio is sitting in the basket of the bike where she was driven around by her cousin. The prototype already looks quite appealing, it would be quite difficult to mess this up, but you’ll never know in advance.

Now lets move over to the not so well known company Freeing, so far I’ve seen this cool Nanoha figure from Mahou Senki Lyrical Nanoha Force with her updated look and weapons.

They also have a figure from the nice short ova Houkago no Pleiades, they made a figure of the main character Subaru, I hope this one will turn out good.

Gift just showed a single figure so far this one shows Takamachi Nanoha loli style in a nice beach outfit, she looks a bit different than my image of Nanoha, but still very cute. 1/4 scale!

The always popular Good Smile Company also brought a good lineup like ALTER, but they aimed for the more popular franchises, I wouldn’t mind if they would produce something aside from the most popular cashcow franchises from time to time. From Bake/Kizumonogatari we see the adult Shinobu, with a playful yet dangerous face expression. The sculpting looks quite smooth and also the pose appears very good. She is too scary for my tastes, but great figure anyway.

From Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica they prepared an impressive prototype of Kaname Madoka goddess version in her final transformation outfit. The outfit is beautiful and the whole figure has quite a different look in comparison with the previously released Madoka figure.

One of the already painted prototypes was the Cheerful Japan! Hatsune Miku-Support version. This one has a very cool color combination, the dynamic pose is awesome and the figure itself is very cute, I love her face :). she also has an awesome base for her. I’ll probably get her.

Kotobukiya’s lineup also showed some interesting figures this year. From Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai they showed us a rather ecchi posed Sena Kashiwazaki, eating a bowl of cherries, sculpt looks nice but the paintjob on her will be quite important to say more about this figure. They also have a nice Sora both will probably be 1/8 scale even though they look more like 1/6.

One bigger surprise from Kotobukiya was the Idolm@ster trio, there will be Haruka, Makoto and Miki. They have recreated the distinct style from the very enjoyable anime and Im really interested in Makoto with the enchanting beach hat and also Haruka looks appealing to me.

There were also some Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse related figures, what grabbed my attention the most was the 1/6 scaled Inia Sestina in her enchanting appearance, I like the stockings + swimsuit outfit. The hair and the cute blush marks in her face, are just beautiful.

Max Factory is next, they produce more figmas than figures, but when they produce figures, most of the time they’ll turn out great. Ok first is Vocaloid Luka, she looks quite different than Miku. Luka is very attractive with her body, but also her brown dress with the golden details make Luka appealing. The face turned out better than expected, even though her smile looks a bit evil.

Honma Meiko was also adapted by Max Factory, a very cute prototype, well they somehow made a ultra loli of her, she’s very cute, but something in me says its wrong to look at her like that  XD

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is also included in the lineup of Max Factory, they made the figures of the two younger characters from the cast, Maria and Kobato. Putting these young girls into such an outfit is slightly questionable, but their faces are as lovely as in the illustrations.
Both are scaled 1/7 and fit very well together, but they will be sold seperately.

An rather unknown character was also transported into figure form, she’s called Samurai and comes from the game 7th Dragon 2020, I like the more comic less anime look of this figure.
Im not sure about purchasing this one, but Im curious about how she will look colored.

Orchid Seed is a manufacturer that I like a lot, but it seems like they are the slower ones, since they showed a lot of their older still unfinished prototypes at this Wonfes. But they showed their updated 1/7 scaled Kotegawa Yui from To love Ru with a fully castoffable school uniform.

The best thing at their booth was the painted prototype of Blanc Neige from Shining Tears  with an awesome ice like base. The preorders for this figure might start in the next few weeks.

They also announced to make a 1/7 figure from the Sonicomi manual illustration, called Super Soniko – Sonicomi PKGversion. Very nice choice with bikini, star pattern stockings and boots, her outfit will be very appealing. That might turn out great.

Plum is a relative new figure manufacturing company, their Nymph received mixed opinions, their other Sora no Otoshimo related figure, Astraea made a much better impression. The latest announced figure from PLUM is called Alisa from the game God Eater Burst I’ve seen the illustration some time ago, I guess it’s still on my hdd. The design is pretty cool with the skirt and the hiigh boots and the girl looks sexy im looking forward to see the painted version.

So that was my personal winter Wonfes 2012 coverage post, I didn’t wrote about everything just about the things that really interested me, overall it was a nice Wonfes with a lot of pretty figures. Nearly everyone of the manufacturers announced something good and interesting.

Some things I missed was a  new casual dressed Soniko figure, there was also no new Louise Françoise Le Blanc de la Vallière figure and no figure of Saya from Blood-C, maybe next time

What was your impression about this event, anything you would consider to buy?

The Wonderfestival 2011 Summer excibition started on 24th July 2011, unfortunately I couldn’t be there like someone else I know :p At least you can see most of the stuff which is shown there on the internet as well, without queques and scramble. I searched and checked out a few sites and blogs with pictures and infos of new figures and prototypes the whole morning.

I found many nice and promising figures, lets start with the manufacturers in alphabetical order.

ALTER

Aegis from the game Persona 3 Portable in the Aegis – ART WORKS Version, she will be scaled 1/6 , her release is sheduled for fall 2011. I don’t think I will order her, but she looks quite pretty.

Charlotte Dunois from Infinite Stratos, I’ve never seen the anime but the pose and the outfit give her a very cute appearance, she will have  two exchangeable faces/hairstyles and is scaled 1/8. Charlotte Dunois  realease is planned for 2012

This Nanoha – holiday version figure is scaled 1/7 and shows her in adult from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS anime, I like the outfit with the jacket and bikini and the laid back look of her pose. Also the flow of her hair looks great, her release is also planned for 2012.

I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw that both Megahouse and ALTER had  very pretty Merry Nightmare figures at their booths. The anime adaption of Yumekui Merry was far away from perfect, but Merry was always a character I liked and I loved her white visual key related outfit. I like both versions so far, I would like to see them colored soon so that I can decide.

AmiAmi zero

Hinako from the Bathtime with Hinako & Hiyoko Ova. Mhhh haha oh well what should I say. I think this chubby girl has nice curves and is overall very cute in her soapy bathroom dress. Additional to that her pose looks so lively, she is scaled 1/7 and will be released this year. ecchi ecchi ;D

Gift

Gift’s realisation of a Super Soniko figure, she is scaled 1/6 at first I was fired up to get her, but I think I’ll pass here, it’s not the way I want to see her character and the enchained arm would make me feel sorry for her everytime I look at her. Gift made a nice sculpting and a pretty base but for me the whole message of this figure is just too much for me.

This 2nd Soniko from Gift, is the Super Soniko – Summer Version, this figure is scaled 1/8 and wears a scanty beach outfit, there was a GK of her in the past and now it was turned into a PVC. If I’d like her face in the final product, the possibilty that I’ll order her is very high

Good Smile Company

Saber from the upcoming Fate/Zero anime comes with a damn motobike how cool is that?! Saber will be scaled 1/7, she is sheduled for 2012. That is such a promising prototype, well done

What made me really happy was this Millhiore F. Biscotti figure from the anime Dog Days, I wished for it and GSC delivered her in the long princess outfit, I would have preferredMilhi in the short princess dress or singer dress, but I’m happy that she’ll made anyway. Her face is just *hnnng*. She will be released in December 2011, I’ll order her for sure.

There will also be a Millhiore F. Biscotti Nendoroid with her big bird Harlan, both look extremely cute, but I don’t think I will order these two, even though they are super adorable. So far there was no release date announced for this Nendoroid.

Who needs Hachikuji Mayoi, Oshino Shinobu from Bakemonogatari is made of pure cuteness There was madeca GK of her from the lovely illustration where she sits on a mountain of donuts and now Im happy that she will be availabe as completed 1/8 scaled PVC. She’s so cute !ordered!

It seems GSC that has high goals this time and they also showed a great Makise Kurisu prototype in a dynamic running pose. Makise Kurisu is from Steins;Gate and the figure will be scaled in 1/8.

Last Wonfes Arsene from the anime Tantei Opera Milky Holmes was still an uncolored prototype, but now she is a fully painted 1/8 scaled beauty, I probably won’t buy her, but it makes me happy that they’ve put so much love into a side character, she’s hot and her outfit looks fantastic.

Honestly speaking aside from Madoka and Sayaka I found GSC’s Puella Magi Madoka Magica prototypes well sculpted but rather boring. Anyway I like the 1/8 scaled Madoka in her pretty and classical magical girl outfit and the girly running pose is really nice. They also did a good job in putting her 2d face from the anime into a super cute face , for me she is a very appealing figure.

Kotobukiya

I like Nanoha nearly as much as Soniko XD Here is the young Nanoha from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st movie in an 1/8 scale. She is in her school uniform, obviously she overslept and is in a hurry to go to school. She has a very cute face with a bread in her mouth.

The second 1/8 scaled Gokou Ruri figure from Kotobukiya turned out very well, she looks awesome in her casual dress and this pose which shows a lot of her personality looks fantastic, *damn* she even has cat ears. The anime Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai was not my thing but at least she was a character I liked. Her release date is in November 2011.

From Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse Kotobukiya showed a figure of the popular character Takamura Yui in an 1/7 scale. She has a beautiful loose fit kimono and has an ancient japanese umbrella. Her release is planned for the years 2012. Judging from the sculpor this figure will probably turn out very pretty.

Native

luth pointed my nose at this Elfriede figure she is from Native’s Creators Collection and will be made in a 1/7 scale, surprisingly she seems to wear panties unlike many other Native figures XP.
I guess I won’t order her, but the pose and the wrinkles of her outfit look very interesting.

Another Soniko figure ole ole! Here we a have Soniko – bath time version, how shes steps out of her bathtub. This could a figure from Native I would like to buy if I like her painted face and Natice would not put too much details at her *meow* area nor add another kinky detail to this figure.

Max Factory

Sandaime Muramasa from Soukou Akki Muramasa is a beautiful maid/waitress  figure from Max Factory. Her face is pretty and the pose emits something like gracefulness to me. She is scaled 1/7, her release is planned for December 2011. I’ll probably order her, because I really like beautiful figures in this kind of dressup. Also her darker skincolor might be an interesting detail.

I don’t feel much for Hatsune figures by default, but I like the more unusual designs of her like the 1/7 scaled Hatsune Miku HSP Version. Her more chibified head is a nice detail as well as the pose. I guess I would cancel my lat Miku version for this more creative looking Miku figure.

Finally here they are, the 1/8 scaled Se:Kirara figures, Shizuno Izumi will be released next year 2012, this lovely girl wears something like a school uniform/ lingerine outfit, maybe its castoffable haha I like her, but maybe I’ll wait for a figure of Akiyama Nozomi.

Last Wonfes Max Factory had this Asuka with the cool and interesting face expression up their sleeves, I like this 1/6 scaled Asuka – Test Plug Suit Version and now she’ll be released in November 2011 YEAH! I will probably order her, the pose and the hairstyle are just too nice.

Megahouse

I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw what Megahouse had at their booth, a good looking Merry Nightmare figure ^-^. The anime adaption of Yumekui Merry was far away from perfect, but Merry was always a character I liked and I loved her white visual key related outfit it is so stylish.

Orchid Seed

In my last Soniko – Babydoll version review I’ve mentioned that I would love to buy a Soniko figure with a happy face expression, and what I saw at the Orchid Seed booth nearly made my eyes wet. They announced a 1/7 scaled figure from one of my favorite outfits of Soniko.
Soniko looks so cute and happy there. ! how awesome ! Please hurry Orchid Seed.

Orchid Seed made a different color version for their Soniko – Bondage version which was released a few month ago. She looks so cute in this colorful outfit I wouldn’t have expected white and light blue suit her so nicely and her blushmarks seem to be more prominent.

Orchid Seed also had chibi figures at their booth called Super Sonico Collection x Mota, I want the one with the guitar, but so far there wasn’t much info or a release date mentioned for this set.

I could have listed a few more figures I liked, but I think this selection is enough, overall I think that this Wonderfestival of summer 2011 was very good, there were a lot of great looking figures and prototypes, more than last Wonfes. I guess I will order 3 or 4 or a few more figures from the one I’ve listed here. Thx to all the companies, Im glad to see that you use your gains for creating creative and interesting new figures every year.
