I ordered myself that probably overpriced figure of Narmya, although she looks cute and comes with a gigantic dioran base. I always loved Granblue Fantasy, but didn’t order any figure based on the origin, this is probably the best I could go for and so I don’t think I will regret purchasing her.

Seishori Sister Petronille – Regular Edition – Vibrastar

And here we have a fantasy style nun with a beautiful face, coincidentially it’s also made by Vibrastar.

Sister Olivia – Vibrastar

A slutty nun became a rather popular topic in the figure industry recently and I think that one is quite lovely. A two face option and a cast off feature, she also has inverted nipples. I like this expression a lot.

Sakura Kinomoto – Cardcaptor Sakura Anime 25th Anniversary – Furyu

This cute figure of Sakura is quite great looking and looks like the cheerful character from the anime. As late fan of CCS I have really fond memories of the show, even though it was an anime intended for the younger audience.

Kashino – Hot Springs Relaxation – Mimeyoi

This Kashino design is cute. Ok, the boobs look a bit difficult to handle, but I don’t mind, the figure looks great overall. It’s a big figure, but the pose would make it not impossible to display the figure somewhere . I don’t really understand the hype for 1/4 scale figures, the size is somehow problematic and not intended when you want to have more figures.

Miki Narahashi – Frog

A figure I have been watching the figure since the early prototype stage. I like the lewd volleyball theme, the girl looks great. Although with 39 cm and 30,000 Yen it turned out bigger and more expensive than anticipated, I’m still very interested.

Rikka Takarada – Wall Figure – Good Smile Company

I really like the idea of a figure on a swing, it’s an usual metaphor in the coming of age theme in anime. This figure of Rikka can hang around somewhere. Included is an installation set. Rikka looks adorable and the pose makes it even better, but the low price is still somewhat surprising.

Marin Kitagawa – My Dress-Up Darling – Max Factory

The figure looks great, but I’m not entirely convinced by this Marin figure, of course she shouldn’t be bad, since Chieri is one of my favorite sculptors, I should not be dissatisfied with the figure anyway.

Hatsune Miku – GT Project Racing Miku: 2023 Ver. – Good Smile Company

I like this Toridamono styled Miku, she appears really cute and funny with her fang and hyper expression. Of course we also have those lovely thighs and a great looking outfit.

Fuyuko Mayuzumi – Off.the.Re.cord Ver. – Alter

I honestly thought that was a figure of Yoshiko Tsushima, apparently it is not, but however I am always grateful when a GK kit is adapted into a PVC figure and this one was even chosen by Alter, it should be awesome in the end

I really like the concept of this figure, but I have never heard of the manufacturer, what happens a lot recently, as old figure collector I’m more used to buying from manufacturers I grew up in this hobby. It’s a very styles and expressive design I should probably give it a try.

Suzu Kanade – Exorcist Ninja Costume Ver. – Union Creative

Suzu is quite adorable in her ninja outfit and her proportions are quite nice. The figure puts the focus on the wide hips and round butt. I only watched a few episodes of her origin, but it seems to be funny and entertaining.

Tsuduri Amagasa – Shy Girls in Love – Goldenhead+

I don’t know who this character is and I probably bought more than enough bikini figures recently, although this figure shows a different flavor with her strong expression and the intention of getting the sun lotion applied by somebody.

Fox Fairy, Mo Li – Animester

Another unknown manufacturer, but I like what they did here, a beautiful fox lady with a very expressive face and dramatic make up.

Happy New Year, but I will start with a figure that I have received a little earlier in 2023. It’s the cute and boisterous Daiwa Scarlet from Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, the gatcha game from Cygames that received three anime adaptations, that performed rather successful with a rating from 7,5 – 8, well received from fans of the game and the regular anime consumer, it’s sport, it’s drama and it’s a cute show about girls with animal ears.

The figure was manufactured by Max Factory, as sculptor in charge Akimof was chosen. The official release began in August 2023. Daiwa Scarlet is sculpted after the official design of Daiwa in her uniform, she actually really runs her competitions in this attire.

The figure is scaled 1/7, the overall height is 29 cm, since the figure is delivered with a podest like base.

I only saw the anime adaptations of Uma Musume, I expected the role of Daiwa to be a bit less of a sidecharacter. She was apparently chosen to be turned into a figure because of her popularity in the gatcha game. What I liked were the adorable character design and the story that was told, the crazy names of the characters were hilarious, though. The characters are all named after popular race horses from the 90’s, the real horses were mainly males, but the franchise probably works better with a female cast.

In Europe we actually have no good opinion of horse racing, there are things like animal abuse, and after they ended their racing lifespan the horse would most likely end as sausage. In Japan they apparently are friendlier to the ex race horses. They can spend the other half of their life at a nice farm with other horses together.

The real Daiwa Scarlet is still alive, after she took part in 12 races in total and won 8 of them. That doesn’t sound like a real hard challenge, but the horses probably lose speed at a certain age. While most race horses turn out to be stallions, Daiwa indeed was a mare, a female horse. That is probably the reason for the figures proud chest.

Do you actually know how horse girls are being made?

This is secret information, but you probably can guess that yourself. Anyway that topic is never addressed at any point.

The figure is standing on her podest in a bold victory pose with her index finger pointing forward.

Daiwa Scarlet has lots of hair in a nice auburn colored tone, she is wearing a twintails hairstyle and she also has a real ponytail coming out of her lower back. The hair is sculpted in a very detailed way and every strand looks very soft and smooth, of course it’s still PVC material.

The figures face is very expressive, the sharp eye decals are burning with joyful ambition and the open mouth with the single fang is adorable and shows traits of a michievous personality.

The girls uniform looks quite elite, like a parade uniform of an highly decorated general, but basically it’s just a fancy costume, it’s a quite nice royal blue uniform with shoulderpads and a lot of golden elements.

The figure can’t hide the fact that Daiwa has big boobs, the cutout for the blouse gives them the spotlight, we can’t spot any indicated nipples, so it’s not ecchi by default, unfortunately I would say at that point. The skirt shows nice movement and design, the underskirt is white and slightly translucent, both skirts have the golden colored rim.

of course with the short skirt, the horsegirl can’t wear normal panties in public during horse racing, so she is wearing blackspats instead. The legs look great! The revealed skin at the higher area around her legs is attractive, it also shows the figures interesting leg wear. The black garter belt like stockings are placed inside white thigh high boots inside an adorable looking ankle boots. the design with golden and blue lines is visually appealing and the tiny ribbons at the ankle boots are just adorable.

Max Factory created a nice figure of Daiwa Scarlet, the figure has a great amount of details, that have been perfectly applied and executed. The figure has a very lively appearance and her fantasy uniform is beautiful. Basically there is nothing wrong with this figure, she is beautiful and nicely crafted, in the end it follows the official design a bit too closely and that is what makes it a bit lackluster for me. The design is not spicy enough. The following is only my personal preference, but I would have been happier with a Daiwa Scarlet that looks something like this.

Asuna is my very first Blue Archive figure, I generally don’t like bunny girl outfits, but here I made an exception for the exceptionally beautiful Ichinose Asuna – Bunny Girl version from Max Factory.

I would say Asuna – bunny girl version is a typical Max Factory figure like we love them, nicely made, sexy and with a great facial expression.The figure was sculpted by Chieri, who made a lot of nice figures in the past and apparently still does, it’s nice seeing sculptor Chieri at work for this figure again with his unique skill and technique applied to the sculpt.

Asuna’s official character design is made by Mx2J. With her bunny ears Asuna is measuring 29 cm at scale 1/7. Ichinose Asuna was released in July 2023. The first thing that meets the eye is the figures enormous… , frisbee sized base. It’s covered by soft, white fake fur, the outer rim has a root wood like texture.

The base is that big because it has to fit the ridiculously long hair of the girl, I noticed her impractical long hair at some point. You can also display the figure without base, the small stool holds her up properly and the tips of her hair are looking sturdy enough.

Blue Archive is a lovely smartphone game, I like playing it nearly daily to improve the stats of my crew. The Gameplay is fun with the military theme and tactical possibilities. It’s story feels very much inspired by the setting of Academy City from A Certain Scientific Railgun with shady adults and students with a heart of gold and rifles in their hands.

You take the role of a teacher to help the female students with their everyday life and problems. It involves a lot of interaction and flirting with the female studentship. I can’t help but to think that I am a morally questionable teacher in this game, but since the flirting leads to nothing serious or more questionable things

it’s still a joyful adventure game and it’s a lot of fun to interact with the sweet, weird and eccentric female students from different schools and their funny antics.

Ichinose Asuna is a student of Millennium Science School, Asuna is generally portrayed as a playful, free spirited and unpredictable character. The outfit is based on a special event mission from the game where a C&C team is on an infiltration mission disguised as bunny girls. That was a truly hilarious event.

Asuna is actually quite the beautiful girl and her appearance is enchanting. Most likely also because of the super detailed face with it’s smooth facial features, I like her stubs nose very much and the sculpted teeth showing smile is lovely. Her eye is wide and angled, round eyes are indicating innocence, angled eyes generally indicate the opposite like we know uhh from adult anime culture media, but that is another appeal point of Ichinose Asuna.

I love how her right eye is covered by bangs of her hair and the playful facial expression is enchanting, although in this adaptation she looks kind of crazy from particular angles, not in a bad way, but she definitely does.

Max Factory did put a lot of effort into adding lots of detail to suit. The skin tight suit accentuates Asuna’s beautiful abdomen and the general sexy bodyline of hers, the folds and wrinkles nearly create a realistic look.

The light blue color looks good in combination with the figures pale skintone. The pantyhose with thigh segment is nice, although it’s no fishnet design, the half transparency of the black color looks extremely good on her legs. The silky matte color adds a good contrast to the metallic glow of the bunny suit.

Other parts of her outfit are white pumps, elbow long gloves, a collar with bow blue tie and the obviously present bunny ears headpiece, the natural color at the insides of the ears were a good idea.

Ichinose Asuna generally has a beautiful body, the proportions are perfect nearly everywhere with beautiful hips and nice legs. The bosom though is simply impressive it’s not only huge, it’s also very well sculpted, normally we don’t get such nicely sculpted breasts on fanservice heavy characters. The bunny suit top holds them in place and creates a beautiful cleavage with the illusion of softness and jiggle. The iconic beauty mark of the character is also present at the right place on her left breast.

The Ichinose Asuna – Bunny Girl version is a little gem, as figure she offers everything necessary in a very convincing package. She is cute, sexy, beautiful and in my opinion just drop dead gorgeous. she is honestly not my favorite character from Blue Archive, but her figure really convinces me, excellent craftsmanship paired with an attractive character design, I hope Max Factory will make more figures as nice as his one in the future.

Dark Elf – brown skin version (alternatively there is a blue one) is scaled 1/7 and measures 25,5 cm. She was sculpted by Hashimoto Takahiro and released in November 2013.

I always liked the figures design, but for some reason I haven’t bought it in the official release period 2013. I had put it on my Wishlist, for some years actually, but I never forgot about the figure, In the middle of 2021, I could finally find copy of the figure for a decent price and great condition.

While I never had the time to play the game, this is my second figure based on it. Several years ago, I also reviewed Dwarf, yet that one was manufactured by Orchid Seed.
Max Factory is one of my favorite figure manufacturers of all time. They made lots of beautiful high-quality figures in the past, nowadays they don’t make as many figures as they used to make.

I hope they will recover soon and become the Max Factory I admired again, I’m thankful for the figures I’ve received from them. Elf is something I really like in anime culture; pointy ears are cool and beautiful. Dark Elf characters in general are spicier, since they look more mean lol. I think what makes this Dark Elf figure unique is the more realistic design.

The face of this fantasy realm creature looks more realistic compared to figures that are based on the anime girl next door.Dark Elf has a distinctive nose and small, narrow eyes, without a doubt she is very attractive with her nicely made expression. The make up above her eyes and the blue lipstick give her a nice dramatic look that rounded up the mature charm of the figure.

The otherworldly beauty has a great looking body, this character is tall and slender. Her design features wide hips and the legs are very long. She has muscular looking thighs, what I like a lot. The figure has a lot of mature charm, since she is not showing any traits of cuteness. That said it is a really attractive Dark Elf with a without a doubt very nice butt. The brown skin on this figure turned out very nice. In the figure manufacturing industry, it’s sometimes difficult to create the perfect brown tone, either it’s too much of terracotta or a greenish brown.

Dark Elf apparently likes wearing this skimpy kind of fantasy realm armour. I think it’s a pretty looking outfit with its different shades of black and white and the golden details and patterns.
Her corsage top looks interesting with its detailed design, it’s nice how the paint is glossy at certain areas. The revealing top exposes the figures nice cleavage. The outfit is carefully crafted and has very fine details.The detached sleeves look really great with their triangular shapes, they seem to be waving in the wind.

Those hands of hers though, they are big and look kind of scary. Compared to the upper parts of the outfit, the lower parts are lacking, Dark Elf only wears a white thong and a belt around her hips, although the trail behind her is nicely made, it still looks as if one piece of wardrobe is missing. The thigh high boots add a bit more color to the overall design. The figure also comes with a long spear or magical staff like weapon, the dark areas on it are semi-transparent, under the right light you can see it’s amber color shining through the tip.

Dark Elf is a great looking fantasy figure, she is having a very detailed face, I really like the distinctive look and style of it and the narrow blue eyes are mesmerizing. Also from today’s perspective, she still looks amazingly good. Her outfit is nice and detailed, the thong is a little odd choice compared to the elaborately made top parts, but perhaps also a Dark Elf likes to wear sexy clothes sometimes. A great figure from Max Factory which shows their proficiency and quality of their final products.

I probably haven’t logged into my Kancolle account since 3 years, but I have fond memories of the time where I played actively and took care of the adorable ships girls. Too bad that I was forced to use an VPN every time I wanted to play.

Today I will show you one of my older grails that I always wanted since it’s release. I recently purchased this Kouwan Seiki, She is also known as Harbour Princess from the Kancolle game. This figure was manufactured by Max Factory and released in 2017. She’s been sculpted by Akimof and is scaled 1/8 with measures 155 mm in height.
On release her price was around 18.000 yen, which still was a lot at that time.

The figure is also part of the Wonderful Hobby Selection line of Max Factory. In 2016 I received the Sorceress from the WHS line which was a bad joke partially. The figure of course looked great, but arrived with a broken peg that prevented me from setting up the figure, Max Factory was kind enough to send a spare part, but that also arrived broken … .

That experience actually prevented me from preordering. You can probably imagine how I felt when I opened that figures package earlier this year, but fortunately everything was fine and without flaw.

Kantai Collection is not at its prime days anymore, nevertheless the character design hasn’t lost it’s appeal. Kantai Collection has been a super popular gatcha game that convinced figure manufacturers that gatcha game characters attract more customers than purely anime based characters.

If anyone of you wonders about the sparkles in the pictures background, it is a polycarbonate board with sculpted water droplets on the surface, with the right amount of DOF (depth of field) and light it creates a lovely bokeh.
To match the figures partially eerie atmosphere I decided for purple as main color. As flooring I used a small white carpet and spread some bigger and smaller rocks above, to create some ocean bottom. I thought that the fishing net would be a matching addition to the set.

Coming up with a stage has always been kind of a challenge, compared to earlier years figure photography became more challenging and ambitious. I think I became a little bad recipient, it’s really frustrating. Some fellow figure photographers invest an immense amount of work to create diorama like settings, it’s amazing! I always see myself debating about how much work I want to invest in a figures set and if it is worth the effort.

Figures of antagonists are generally a rare event, except they are especially remarkable. Kancolle has cool designs, also for the Abyssals that were turned into figures, like Kuubo Wo-kyuu or Senkan Re-kyuu, Kouwan Seiki convinced me the most.

Since then the gatcha game character based figures keep growing in numbers. As anime enthusiast this trend is regrettable for me, since less figures based on anime are made, but it can’t be helped these days.

Harbour Princess is a pretty figure with her ghost like white skin, the huge claws and pointy horn on the forehead, she is obviously a monster, but a cute one. The character design of Harbour Princess has been illustrated by Akira (アキラ)

Her shy and vulnerable expression are anything less than adorable. I really like the heavy eylashes design, they are even sculpted and not just lines from a brush, I’m also a big fan of the dramatic makeup anyway. The long hair is nicely done, it has smooth looking long strands and a cutely cut bangs. Her red eyes are very pretty and mesmerizing.

Haurbour Princess is dressed in something called “virgin killer sweater” which was a popular meme some years ago. The outfit has some dark grey weathering, living in the vast ocean surely has a few disadvantages for the Abyssal’s. Furthermore the sweaters vertical creases accentuate the characters dynamite body with the ample bosom, thin waist and quite wide hips. The sweater is also equipped with decorative black armor pieces, the style and pattern looks very interesting and pretty. As shoes she has some kind of kneesock boots with black sole.

Part of her outfit are also the separate sleeves, they have the same vertical creases as the sweater and those pretty black armoir bits, because of her big hands the sleeves have a huge opening, the mechanical claws have a nice roughed up look and intimidating design. Kouwan Seiki is portrayed as mature character with a well endowed and attractive body. Obviously, she also has nicely sculpted big boobs, the outfit also reveals a bit of sideboob which is a little bit risky, but nothing when compared to the shameless hotties from Azure Lane. The figure has really nice thighs.

The figure has been put in a kneeling pose, encircled by a muddy looking base, that intentionally shows traces of wear and destruction painted in shades of black and rusty brown. She is holding onto the remaining pieces of her once proud airfield. I like the tiny particles that have been applied on the runway, they give the illusion of glowing sparks.

Next to the main figure, sits the runway monster with its huge jaw, compared to Kouwan Seiki that is a really nasty monster with teeth and grey tongue.

Final Words

I like the figure a lot, she looks great and has an unique design, a bishoujo monster girl is something I didn’t have in my collection so far. It’s a great design with the dramatic makeup and the overall visual presentation is very well done. Is this figure worth the Wonderful Hobby Selection tag? I have a specific opinion about it.

Max Factory figures are already well done in general. WHS should bring something more. I think that the WHS manufacturing quality is not outstanding enough to justify it. A label like WHS should indicate the highest level of craftsmanship, and I don’t see this big difference on Kouwan Seiki and I definitely didn’t saw it at the Sorceress figure. They both had problems that take away from the overall quality. Nevertheless I’m really happy to have the Kouwan Seiki WHS in my collection now.

“a look back” means that I do another photo shooting of a figure I’ve already reviewed, where I try to improve the overall presentation. Sometimes you’ll learn to appreciate a figure just a few years after it’s initial release, for me it happened with this certain Tamaki Kousaka, she was released in 2010, but I’ve bought her a bit later in 2012.

Tamaki Kousaka was made by Max Factory and released in May 2010. She is scaled 1/6 and measures around 18 cm.

ELLIOTT and Katayama Hiroki created a cute and sensual sculpt. Tamaki has been captured in an expressive way where she greets the viewer with her sweetest gentle smile. Her kneeling pose together with the nicely arched back create an alluring yet romantic appearance. It’s also quite nice how her school uniform shirt hanging down her shoulders .

There are around 265 Tamaki Kousaka figures, but from the many of her adaptations, this one is my favorite. Her smooth, rounded face with the very sweet and gentle smile gives her quite different look from the others.

In the To Heart 2 VN/anime Tamaki Kousaka is a childhood friend of the protagonist, Takaaki Kouno. she is the older sister type with a strong personality and determined behaviour. While this adaption of Tamaki doesn’t make her look dominant at all with her sweet rounded face and voluptuous curves. The big eyes are following the To Heart 2 design, as well as the hairstyle, the figures hair has a pretty shade of red with twintails at the back and an ahoge on top.

In 2012 my figure photography still was quite experimental and sometimes even clumsy, personally I think I improved over the years. So I wanted to make nicer pictures of this sweet Tamaki Kousaka. For the setup I decided to create a room with curtains and couch. Well, you could also call it a fancy porn set, although that wasn’t my real intention.

This Tamaki figure has a really nice body with marvelous curves around everywhere where it’s attractive with a cute slight stomach and shapely thighs. The figure has nice voluptuous curves or to put it more flattering, soft appearance.

This figure is highlighting the characteristics of an attractive woman, yet she has a certain innocent charm. Her outfit follows a sweet direction with the schoolgirl shirt, white stockings and pink panties she looks youthfully sexy.

Tamaki has beautiful breasts, nowadays I very much appreciate what might have slightly bothered me a few years ago. I really like how her hands folded above her breasts, the indentations on her breasts give the illusion of softness.

Overall the figures attractive sculpt is very detailed, especially the area around her shoulders with the pretty collarbones is great. She also has very detailed hands, it’s really nice to look at her petite fingers and painted nails.

Tamaki Kousaka from Max Factory is one of my all time favorites.

She was released at the end of January 2018. She was sculpted by Hiroshi and is scaled 1/8. There also was a WHS heavy armament version, to me it added not much to the figure, so I payed around 5k less for the pacifist version.

I seriously was [on] and [off] about this figure on the one hand i always wanted a figure of Takao on the other hand I wished for a different adaption than this. You should know, that I always was a fan of the elaborate Kantai Collection fanart on Pixiv, also the naughty ones ^^. The  Kantai Collection figures are all based on In Game design. Unfortunately, I would actually dare to say. In many cases I often wished for a different fanart adaption.

Nevertheless, even though I considered to cancel her a few times I’ve kept my preorder active.

Takao is a heavy cruiser, in Kantai Collection heavy cruiser literally means curvy character. She is a cool, soft spoken character and one of the older ship girls. In comparison to her bright and cheerful sister ship Atago, Takao is less flashy, she has a darker personality and is somehow more naughty.

The figure has pretty black hair, it’s nicely detailed and shows a number of separate strands and a nice dynamic flow. Takao’s face shows a puzzled expression with red eyes and cute raised eyebrows, maybe she noticed how short her skirt actually is. Joking aside the figure has a very lively and adorable expression.

The best aspect of this figure is the bright navy blue uniform, the design is really beautiful with the white edges, golden details and wrinkles. The sailor hat is so adorable. It’s actually quite amazing how tight fit this uniform is and how it’s even able to stretch around Takao’s ample boobs like this Her shirt cuffs and black gloves add a lot of elegance.

Of course a lady needs a bag, it resembles the smokestack and bridge of the real Takao ship. The outfit is overall very detailed with her stockings and garter belt she resembles a Pin up girl. On each of her stockings is a cute green planes. Her shiny red shoes are nice painted and the pointy fins look really cool.

This figure actually portrays Takao a bit too petite, she should have wider shoulders and a less narrow waist and more thighs volume. Oh I’m so demanding, but nevertheless the slender Takao with big boobs is also very attractive. She wears a tight and very short skirt, a good quarter of lower buttocks is exposed, a quite nice view if you ask me. Apparently Kantai Collection is a fanservice heavy game and all outfits are tight, except for the smaller destroyer girls.

Final Words

Even though, I had mixed feelings about this figure, during the photo session Takao showed what she is made of. I had a lot of fun with the post processing. It’s a nicely made figure with amazing details and a very dynamic pose. Her outfit together with the stunning body creates a cool and sexy combination. I don’t miss the guns of the heavy armament version, the light armament version is as good as the other one, the guns are just an distract from the pretty figure.

My next figure will be Kashima from Amakuni who will be released by tomorrow

Hello fellow figure collectors, on February the 18th was the annual Wonder Festival Winter event, the first Wonder Festival of 2018. The figure manufacturers exhibited their current projects and planned figures for the future.

I had a very positive impression of this years event, I hope you also liked it. It was a nice mix of quite different figures from different origin. I was really happy about the new Sairenji Haruna from Alter, the charming Takagi san, an 1/6 scaled Rico from Made in Abbys and finally a beautiful figure of Louise Françoise Le Blanc de la Vallière as bride.

Of course there were many more eye catching figures, also in the ero category the manufacturers did not disappoint.

I really appreciate the effort of those people, they make the Wonderfestival events accessible for us.

 
On the 30th of July, this years Wonder Festival [Summer] was held, all the different manufacturers came together to present their upcoming figures and prototypes. Often it’s an exciting day for me, this year it was a bit less enjoyable.

Normally the mix of painted and grey prototypes and Illustrations that were chosen for figure adaptions make wonfes enjoyable for figure collectors, but this time nearly everything shown was a grey prototype, I really expected to see some prototypes from the last Wonder Festival being painted. Fate Go and Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata ♭ -seemed a bit hyped. There were of course some nice figure prototypes I will show you my favorites here in my small summary.

Ashikaga Chachamaru – Soukou Akki Muramasa

This Chachamaru was my biggest joy to see at the Wonderfestival, she is so beautiful, her expression with her gaze over the shoulder and the general articulation are just great.

Lala Satalin Deviluke  – Onepiece Style – To LOVEru Darkness

Haha that is a hilarious pose for this happy Lala figure ❤

Konjiki no Yami – To LOVEru Darkness

Oh something was painted on this rather monochrome event ahahaha. I’m not a real Iowa fan, but she looks interesting and I really like her legs.

Kyahhh! After the last season of ZnT I was hoping that another figure of Louise or even her friends would be made,but my hopes were crushed bitterly. Now after 5! years after Zero no Tsukaima F, I will get a bride figure of my first anime waifu ❤❤❤! that actually sounds too good to be true.

I actually always liked the old Kasumi from Max Factory, but had the impression that it could be better, so this “Renewal” announcement makes me curious.

I would like to have a figure of the cute heroine of Netoge. This figure looks already quite promising and she is so cute.

Ooyodo – Kantai Collection

Kancolle figures aren’t as popular as in previous years, but they are still being made. I like Ooyodo and it is nice to see her painted, she looks just great and just enchanting. Apparently this figure doesn’t heavily rely on fanservice, it’s mainly a good design.

I liked the butterfly lady from FLARE, the more realistic character design makes it quite interesting and the overall look is also appealing.

Saber – Okita Souji – Fate/Grand Order

I tried my.best to ignore everything labeled Fate GO but this cute adaption of Saber is just right up my alley. Some months ago I already saw the beautiful garage kit and so the news of it getting a Pvc figure adaption makes me extremely happy.

Erika is finally painted and I was very surprised how nice she turned out, just look at her beautiful face, I like the half naked angel.

I remember that I’ve been waiting for this figure to get painted since 5 damn years, would someone please take the time to paint this precious figure for the next Wonderfestival already.

I really like that idea, the character is cute and even though it’s a nude figure, it’s not a naughty one, you even get a tripod with camera.

I also liked this funny figure, cheerfully swinging around her whip. I think the sadistic but also happy expression gives her something specïal. The figures nice body also looks interesting, she ïs a DFC character with some seriously nicely endowed hips

Wagaya No Liliana-san – Liliana

I this high kick pose is cool Hopefully this Liliana won’t be as glossy as her other figures so far.

Non Virgin – Suguri Hiromi – Bunny Girl

While I really appreciate the style of Oda Non and the high level of craftsmanship, I don’t need the additionally lewdness with these rings and stuff XD Ahahaha but there will be more hot ladies in this lewd lineup.

Kuroinu ~Kedakaki Seijo wa Hakudaku ni Somaru~ – Olga Discordia

Next to that BINDing selected a few great looking illustrations to adapt into figures, with their level of qualïty I have high expectations of these projects. Can I expect to see a figure of the blonde Dark Elf in the future, too?

That’s all folks, this Wonderfestival 2017 Summer didn’t make me as happy as previous events, it still was nice to see a few interesting things. I feel a bit sad about the lack of Granblue Fantasy, I would have been so happy about a Lyria figure, I also would have liked to see a figure of Lailah (Tales of Zestiria the X).I don’t like that there were so many things from that hyped Fate Go, or other overly popular things, I would have prefered a bït more variety from the manufacturers. The nagging won’t stop here yet, I also expected to see some of the grey prototypes from the previous wonfes painted, did the Summer Wonderfestival came so surprisingly for the manufacturers?

How was your impression from the event?
Did you feel satisfied with everything and also saw some things you want?

In the end I would say that a limited number of must haves is good, considering the figure prices nowadays.

A new Sonico has been released recently, well I’ve been on vacation and so we’ll take a belated look at the Super Sonico – racing version manufacturered by Max Factory, based on Super Sonico – The Animation anime.

This particular figure has been made by Max Factory, sculpted by YOSHI, who is one of the very talented and busier people in the figure prototype sculpting scene. Sonico is a big figure, scaled at 1/7 measuring 22 cm in height.

In this figure adaption Sonico cosplays as Hatsune Miku in a futuristic grid girl outfit. In the outfit of the fairy like Miku, the curvy Sonico gives it a very different appearance, obviously both characters are cute, but the body proportions couldn’t be more different. I have the feeling that the costume isn’t really her size, much to my enjoyment *ahem*

At first you should notice that for the first time a Sonico figure wears a different hairstyle, the official illustrator of Sonico actually gave her different hairstyles from time to time. As racing version she wears adorable twintails, the hairstyle suits her very well and is fitting for her youthful happy face. Her hair looks great in general, the detailed strands and the dynamic movement, it also shows the usual gradient effect from pale to a stronger shade of pink.

It’s a really sweet expression Sonico makes in this figure adaption, she seems naturally happy with her cheerful and also lively smile. The whole face is designed extremely cute with an open mouth that has some depth and shows some teeth. The prominent blush and beautiful eyes bring her to life and turn her into a really pretty Sonico based figure.

The outfit looks very bold and flirty, but surprisingly Sonico doesn’t seem to be bothered by it, the usually so easily embarrassed gravure idol, wears a big cheerful smile. I guess after all the other embarrassing outfits she had to wear, she got used to wear skimpy outfits. It’s actually very nice too see a happy Sonico in a skin revealing outfit.The sculptor did a great job with this nicely sculpted Sonico, she looks so attractive with her curvy, buxom body.
There is a lot to admire with these womanly shapes of this body, design and volume are are beautiful and voluptuous.

I was a bit surprised, I don’t know if Sonico’s boobs always were of epic size? It could be less volume in my opinion, but I like what I see nevertheless. The tops cutout and the generous size of her assets generate a marvelous cleavage with her arms turned inwards the proud bosom cleavage is additionally highlighted, that the neck tie vanishes between her breasts is a naughty, but also funny idea.

Sonico has a balanced buxom body, she not only has big boobs, also at the backside there is a lot of sex appeal, often figure butts sadly lack a bit of attention and also volume, fortunately the sculptor wasn’t scared to make it a bit more projecting. Sonico has a beautiful big, plump and round butt, which is strongly emphasized by her bendover pose.

Super Sonico – racing version is not only cute and curvy, she also wears this really cool and futuristic suit.
The interesting unkown device on her back is really pretty. The skin tight, light gray bodysuit has a few cutouts and thong design at the lower parts, the skirt makes the outfit more complete, the clear winglets are nice decorations.
It’s an extremely short skirt and won’t cover the figures butt at all. Further parts of her outfit are black, arm long gloves, one has “GOODSMILERACING” printed on it. Her black stockings tightness accentuates the soft thighs.

Final Words

The Sonico from Max Factory turned out really pretty, sweet and sexy, Super Sonico – racing version combines a very cute face with a curvy bombshell body and futuristic outfit. The majority of Sonico figures is portrayed embarrassed and half nude, so It’s lovely to see a cheerful Sonico in such revealing clothes once in a while. The figures pose shows great articulation that emphasizes her voluptuous womanly curves. I like her big butt and the overall soft looking body. In the 1/7 scale she has a nice big size and is also very detailed, she is really a marvelous figure .
