Today I will show you a very pretty Sonico figure from Wave, after making number of 1/10 scaled Beach Queens, they returned with nice figures recently of much bigger scale and muh nicer quality. Sonico – bikiny style version has been released in November 2020. The figure is scaled 1/7 which make her 21,5 cm in height, sculpted by Zuiko.

The figure comes with a candy pink base with fluffy white plush on top, not really fitting for the beach, but the figure could also show Sonico during one of the indoor gravure idol model jobs.

I actually planned to review the Sonico – Summer Vacation version from Orchid Seed, but after some brawl with Nippon Yasan they cancelled all my orders and I got my money back. Unfortunately I didn’t find a good deal for her afterwards, maybe another time. Thx to all the delays 2020 to 2021 my carefully planned preorders changed a lot. I’ll have to pay several figure orders in these next 2 months, it’s a bit of a bad situation for me, that hopefully ends soon.

The figures face is quite adorable, sparkling pink eyes, blushed cheeks and a happy open mouth. The sculpting of her mouth could have been a bit more detailed, but that is like the only thing to criticize on this really nice bikini figure.

The hair on this Sonico figure is longer than on other figures of her, it’s done very detailed and has a lovely pink to sky blue gradient. Her trademark headphones look extremely detailed and the bow is made from metal.

Sonico also wears a beautiful necklace, as detailed as her nice headphones.

This Sonico reveals a lot of skin, the nearly nude appearance of the figure aside, it actually creates a happy beach atmosphere. Overall she has nice and gentle colors, Sonico has a beautiful skintone, a beautiful body anyway.

Super Sonico the ambassador of thicc/curvy body, back then Sonico was basically the first popular anime style character with a more curvy anatomy who appeals to both men and women, even with her sexy body she always has been portrayed as a friendly and good girl with an innocent personality. Many figures and illustrations have been made, not all are especially innocent. I bought a number of Sonico figures back in the days, but only the ones I liked a lot.

The bikini, as skimpy as it is still is made very detailed, realistic looking wrinkles and a tight fit, it’s a little funny how the bikini top appears to stressed from holding up Sonic’s proud assets.

Sonico’s flirty pose, is quite bold but with such a cute face one can’t accuse her of being lewd. Honestly, the pose is very good, bend over Sonico highlights her beautiful chest before her arms and sticks out her nice round butt. It is a similar pose like the Sonico – Racing version from Max Factory has, but not quite the same.

The boobs and cleavage look very inviting and soft, the illusion of the soft skin is very well done. Her hips and legs also look soft and squishy, the bikini bottom cuts deep into her skin, wearing it for more than a few hours is probably not advisable. I really like the articulations of her arms and the hands that are placed on top of her leg.

Final Words – This 1/7 scaled figure of Super Sonico is nice, Wave did a very good job her, everything is nicely detailed and cleanly done. She was sculpted very well wih a beautiful body line, it shows Sonico with attractive body fat articulated in a sexy pose. The skimpy clothes work very well in combination with the figures body and the signs of weight and stretch limits are visible, which is more fun than it sounds like. Additionally she has very nice hair and headphones, the face is pretty and cute. Alltogether the Super Sonico – bikini style is one of the better Sonico figures and quite enchanting.

There are a number of nice figures that are going to be released around autumn 2019. For me t’s quite hard to decide which one I would like the most. Buying more figures than 15 is definitely out of question though.

Lucoa – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid -Casual Wear ver.

I really like the Lucoa character and this figure of her is a nice adaptation of the curvy dragon. It is quite nice how the 1/7 scaled figure stands there with a cute pose and the main outfit from the “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” anime.
She is announced to be released in August and her official non discounted price is 17.800 Yen *omg*

Emilia – Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World

Well, I rarely seen a show more broken than Re:ZERO XD not because it was bad, but because it’s a story with highly disturbing events. I don’t want get reminded of it. Nevertheless this Emilia looks wonderful and her buddy Puck is the cutest. This Emilia is going to get released in September. Her figure is scaled 1/8 and the official price is 13.800 Yen.

Akagi – DreamTech – Azur Lane [Rakuen no Higanbana]

I’ve never seen a bikini figure with a more perfect psycho expression on the face than this Akagi and she looks great that way. The figure seems to be really nicely sculpted,also pose and outfit look terrific. She is going to get released in September and the official price asked for her is also 13.800 Yen

Super Sonico China Dress ver. – Emon Restaurant Series

Can’t have enough Sonico figures, can I? With this alternative hairstyle and tight china dress the figure looks quite… tasty. She is looking cute and has the obligatory big boobs and wide hips of Sonico. She is scaled 1/7 and will probably be released in October and officially costs 12.800 Yen.

Atago – Manatsu no Koushinkyoku ver. – Azur Lane

I think this Atago looks better than her recently listed sister Atago even though she is way more expensive. The figure has a beautiful head with a great flirty expression and nicely shaped body. The white bikini and beach accessories gives her some elegance. She will be released in October or by the manufacturers habit some time LATER. Officially this Atago costs 17.800 Yen and is scaled 1/7.

Akiko Takatsuki – Midareta Tanaoroshi

Actually this post feels a bit unnecessary, since the figure I probably like the most from the list is Takatsuki Akiko from Daiki Kougyou. It’s an adaptation from illustrator Ojo and I really like the unique facial features of the figure she is is beautiful and a little lewd, I like that She is castoff able, too. my only bothering thing is the towel on her head. She is also going to get released in October With an 1/5 scale the figure is rather big, her price is about 18.000 yen.

You see, I have a few problems to decide to preorder the last figure for 2019.
Whom from the figures listed would be your choice as last figure order of 2019?

The prices became too crazy recently I also think about only ordering 8 figures for 2020, the stress on the budget has been too high for the past 3 months and space is another factor, so I realized that I can’t continue like in the last few years, so the plan is to only order 8 a year, I hope I can endure that ^^

Sonico has been a favorite of mine, since I started with this blog. My first figure of her was the Sonico – Bondage version from Orchid Seed in 2011 and within the past 7 years I bought around a dozen more. Of course I parted with a few, but I always stayed a fan. Today I will show you my latest Sonico figure dress in a bridal outfit.

Recently the perfect figure for Sonico fans around the globe has been released, the Sonico – 10th Anniversary Wedding version from Good Smile Company. She was available in three version, a standard version, you’ll see in this review, as Marriage Box -SILVER- with two silver rings or as Marriage Box -GOLD- with two gold rings.

And here she is as cheerful bride, balancing on one foot. It was a fight to get her on the base, you would not believe it.

The wedding rings and marriage documents aside, the standard version is not different in any way, the figure is quite nice on it’s own, she has a cute additional “before kiss” faceplate and overall a beautiful design. I really like Sonico, but I passed on these wedding ring sets, also because of the price *cough*.

The design was provided by Tsuji Santa, who is behind the design for most Sonico figures, it’s truly amazing that his creations receive so much love and awareness. The illustration was adapted into a figure is the aspiring sculptor Chiaki.

The figure was released on June 25th, 2018. She is scaled 1/6 and measures 35 cm ! her base measures around 10 cm alone already *argh* she doesn’t fit in the shelf that way, 2 steps on the stair podest would have been enough.

The Sonico wedding version has fantastic hair with a wonderful sense of movement. I can’t remember a Sonico figure that had better looking hair, It’s super detailed with her usual soft, pastel pink color with a darker shade at the edge.

The face showcases Tsuji Santa’s current style of his long time Sonico project. The cute face has big eyes with a lively and nicely detailed iris. The bride shows a gentle, open mouth smile with wide front teeth line. The additional face isn’t any less appealing, the “before kiss” face creates a special atmosphere. With the lightly closed eyes and detailed eyelashes, her face looks so cute. There is also her pretty mouth with her soft shiny lips waiting to be kissed.

On first glimpse the sweet bride Sonico makes a strong impression, while towering on her stairs clad in velvet like material. The complex outfit with the huge skirt and all the cute details looks just impressive. the outfits pearl white color creates a beautiful harmony with the girls pale pinkish skin and honestly her design shows a lot of skin, it’s nice.

Sonico is presented in an as bold as beautiful dream in pearl white, I bet Sonico would be highly embarrassed to wear that during the official ceremony. It could have been a bit less skin revealing, the top looks a bit funny.

Her boobs are covered and supported by two thin straps with leads to this high amount of sideboobs, I’m not fully convinced by that part, it should have rather been a standard shoulderfree design with a tasteful cleavage. Of course her center cleavage looks beautiful, but I don’t know if a wedding dress needs to show side boobs. I partially really love her dress, although the wedding dress rather turned out to be an outfit for the wedding night.

Nevertheless the outfit has so many beautiful aspects, like the veil with the pastel blue and red roses and it’s other small details. Also the wonderful skirt with it’s fine details and soft folds. Around her waist, Sonico wears a fancy corsage with garterbelt that leads to her pretty stockings, the stretching effect has been adapted quite convincing. The high rising panties fortunately doesn’t cover much of her butt. The arm long gloves are very pretty, in her right hand Sonico can hold a beautifully arranged floral bouquet, the ribbons are sculpted in a playful and dynamic manner.

The design team has been quite generous about the wedding versions curves ♡♡♡.

Sonico has a stunning buxom body in this figure adaption, her boobs are quite voluptuous here, personally I would not mind less, her cleavage is really beautiful nevertheless. She also has such a big and prominent butt, it’s one of the appeal points of this figure. I really adore those wide hips and her juicy thighs. In between of this big ends hourglass Sonico keeps her envy provoking narrow waist, although she has a cute slight stomach. Her lower half is just so great and curvy, I love it. Her overall appearance makes her a desirable woman, who wouldn’t want to be her groom.

Final Words

The Sonico – 10th Anniversary Wedding version is a stunning Sonico figure. She has a beautiful appearance with a dress and face, that radiates a cheerful mood. The different face is a lovely extra, since it adds so much more to the figures concept. At 1/6 scale this figure is big, more than big enough to admire her amazingly curvy body, hips and butt are so sexy.  There is the option to display her without skirt to have a better view on these areas. All Together it makes her a great addition for any Sonico fan and supporter. If I would address an issue about the final figure, it would be the smaller gaps at the panties and midsection of the figure. Aside from that everything looks nice and clean.

What I also liked was the Seikatsu Micchaku Shuzai Special Figure (Lifestyle Total Coverage Special Figure) lineup from FuRyu, where Sonico is portrayed in a variety of daily life activities. Those nicely made prize figures were more focused on Sonico’s cuteness than her being sexy dynamite. The Sonico – Sweets Time version was my first figure that I’ve bought from FuRyu, that review was from 2014 though, last christmas (2017) my dear sister gave me another figure from this lineup, the Sonico – Chatting Time version. I was happy that my sister remembered that I really like Sonico.

Since 2014 Prize figures constantly improved in quality and some even rival a few of the big manufacturers adaptions, of course not because of perfect quality but when there is one thing those figures show their appeal it’s creativity and nicely articulated poses. Recently I was quite impressed by an Kaede prize figure that fellow figure photographer Miette purchased and photographed. Prize figures of Love Live Sunshine currently look more interesting than the announced figures of the top manufacturers, it’s amusing, but I nevertheless also hope to see figures of Aquors in fancy and pretty idol outfits at the upcoming Winter Wonder Festival.

Sonico is sitting on a pillow with her legs placed on the floor, in this pose she measures 140 mm in height.

The figure has a nicely articulated pose, portraying a everday scene of a girl having a chat over the phone. The vintage telephone gives the figure additional charm, as well as the green teddybear that she is holding in her arm.

For the pictures I used a backdrop that I’ve build for last years Maid Ami figure and took a few things out of my figure furniture box and created a cute room for Sonico. The sweater dress of the figure has an attractive design and texture.

Sonico’s face looks very cute with blush marks and crisp eye decals, her face also wears a quite expressive facial expression. It seems like Sonico listens to something exciting or maybe she heard some shocking news over the phone right now. Her hair looks good with the backside being especially smooth and the pastel pink gradient is just beautiful.

Of course Sonico also is sexy, in her shoulder free sweater she has a pretty cleavage and nicely shaped legs.

Overall it’s a nicely sculpted and nicely painted figure, the colors have an appealing saturation the sculpt leaves a very good impression, on closer inspection some areas are slightly rough, but you could display the figure with pride.

I don’t purchase many prize figures, eager collectors are always in need for space and I rather would order an expensive figure to put it on the shelf honestly. But I might make an exception for anime characters I really like ^^.

Anyway, even with a limited budget one doesn’t have to live with unappealing figures, prize figures nowadays can be both appealing and affordable

A new Sonico has been released recently, well I’ve been on vacation and so we’ll take a belated look at the Super Sonico – racing version manufacturered by Max Factory, based on Super Sonico – The Animation anime.

This particular figure has been made by Max Factory, sculpted by YOSHI, who is one of the very talented and busier people in the figure prototype sculpting scene. Sonico is a big figure, scaled at 1/7 measuring 22 cm in height.

In this figure adaption Sonico cosplays as Hatsune Miku in a futuristic grid girl outfit. In the outfit of the fairy like Miku, the curvy Sonico gives it a very different appearance, obviously both characters are cute, but the body proportions couldn’t be more different. I have the feeling that the costume isn’t really her size, much to my enjoyment *ahem*

At first you should notice that for the first time a Sonico figure wears a different hairstyle, the official illustrator of Sonico actually gave her different hairstyles from time to time. As racing version she wears adorable twintails, the hairstyle suits her very well and is fitting for her youthful happy face. Her hair looks great in general, the detailed strands and the dynamic movement, it also shows the usual gradient effect from pale to a stronger shade of pink.

It’s a really sweet expression Sonico makes in this figure adaption, she seems naturally happy with her cheerful and also lively smile. The whole face is designed extremely cute with an open mouth that has some depth and shows some teeth. The prominent blush and beautiful eyes bring her to life and turn her into a really pretty Sonico based figure.

The outfit looks very bold and flirty, but surprisingly Sonico doesn’t seem to be bothered by it, the usually so easily embarrassed gravure idol, wears a big cheerful smile. I guess after all the other embarrassing outfits she had to wear, she got used to wear skimpy outfits. It’s actually very nice too see a happy Sonico in a skin revealing outfit.The sculptor did a great job with this nicely sculpted Sonico, she looks so attractive with her curvy, buxom body.
There is a lot to admire with these womanly shapes of this body, design and volume are are beautiful and voluptuous.

I was a bit surprised, I don’t know if Sonico’s boobs always were of epic size? It could be less volume in my opinion, but I like what I see nevertheless. The tops cutout and the generous size of her assets generate a marvelous cleavage with her arms turned inwards the proud bosom cleavage is additionally highlighted, that the neck tie vanishes between her breasts is a naughty, but also funny idea.

Sonico has a balanced buxom body, she not only has big boobs, also at the backside there is a lot of sex appeal, often figure butts sadly lack a bit of attention and also volume, fortunately the sculptor wasn’t scared to make it a bit more projecting. Sonico has a beautiful big, plump and round butt, which is strongly emphasized by her bendover pose.

Super Sonico – racing version is not only cute and curvy, she also wears this really cool and futuristic suit.
The interesting unkown device on her back is really pretty. The skin tight, light gray bodysuit has a few cutouts and thong design at the lower parts, the skirt makes the outfit more complete, the clear winglets are nice decorations.
It’s an extremely short skirt and won’t cover the figures butt at all. Further parts of her outfit are black, arm long gloves, one has “GOODSMILERACING” printed on it. Her black stockings tightness accentuates the soft thighs.

Final Words

The Sonico from Max Factory turned out really pretty, sweet and sexy, Super Sonico – racing version combines a very cute face with a curvy bombshell body and futuristic outfit. The majority of Sonico figures is portrayed embarrassed and half nude, so It’s lovely to see a cheerful Sonico in such revealing clothes once in a while. The figures pose shows great articulation that emphasizes her voluptuous womanly curves. I like her big butt and the overall soft looking body. In the 1/7 scale she has a nice big size and is also very detailed, she is really a marvelous figure .

I’ve recently received a new Super Sonico figure, the nuresuke satsueikai version from Dragon Toy. 

nuresuke satsueikai (濡れ透け撮影会) means something like “photosession with wet clothes” Dragon Toy is popular for their generally sexy figures, that don’t hide much. It’s their first Sonico figure and the sculptor D zou decided to portray her in a more subtle sexy way. Sonico wears a school uniform like outfit and stands there in a flustered pose.

This figure of Sonico is scaled 1/6 and with 26,5 cm she is quite big, part of the figure is an exchangeable bust part and a cute pink shower head which should be attached to the base. She was released in the middle of march 2017.

Don’t ask me why Sonico is holding a showerhead in her hand, probably a failed photosession, I’ve adapted the idea, so that Sonico would make an advertising campaign for a shampoo brand. Therefore I modded an empty shampoo bottle.

Sonico had a little mishap with the shower and her clothes got partially wet. the wet look turned out convincing with a darker tone of color at the drenched areas, also her blouse turned transparent and that reveals her cute pattern bra.

I really like this Sonico adaption of sculptor D zou, he portrayed her as the attractive curvy girl we all know with beautiful big breast, the size is nicely chosen, not as gigantic, as a few other Sonico figures would show these days.

Super Sonico wears an adorable expression with eyes looking to the sides, she is apparently quite embarrassed about her mishap and the result of it. Her cute mouth is mainly hidden by her hand, but the creative and unusual pose is no bad thing at all, thanks to the hand the bashful atmosphere is conveyed in an even more convincing way.

As to be expected of a bigger, high quality figure in 1/6 scale, hair, head and face turned out very detailed and clean, the headphones are nicely made, too. The figures hair looks pretty, fluffy and is painted in a lovely shade of pastel pink.

The uniform outfit is cute and appealing, Sonico actually should be in college by now. Compared to most other figures of her, that show her in cute, colorful and always rather revealing outfits, the toned down colors create an unique look.

Shortly before release I worried a little, if I would really approve of her subtle colored outfit. In person though, it suits Sonico nicely, the outfit gives her a slightly adult feel. The fluffy jacket with cute black buttons, shows detailed folds and has a good, realistic appearance. Underneath she wears this cute blouse in a tone of pale pastel pink, this piece of PVC was made rather thin, the differences in thickness of the clothes create the illusion of different fabrics. The pleated olive green skirt looks good, although at first the dark color feels a bit unusual on Sonico, at least the striped necktie breaks the clouded color palette a little.

What I also like about this figure are the adorable detailed fingers, sooo cute!!! Sonico is holding a pink shower head in her petite hand, it’s very cute and detailed, the hose of the shower head is attached to the base.

This Sonico from Dragon Toy is surprisingly dressed, but a few small castoff options were implemented. Haha on her figures Sonico appears to be more daring than with her gravure idol job, in official illustrations she never shows her boobs exposed, but nearly all of her figures have a cast off option, also this one. The optional breast part shows Sonico without bra and the shirt pushed to the sides, she has beautiful and nicely sculpted boobs with small pink nipples.

It should be no surprise that the skirt can also be taken off, to reveal Sonico’s cute pink panties. At the back they are somewhat off center. Ahem, without skirt one can examine and admire her pretty backside and womanly thighs   .

Final Words

The Super Sonico ~ nuresuke satsueikai version is an interesting and visually appealing figure, she is big and creates a nice atmosphere, her pose, outfit and expression are nicely combined. There have been made many nice Super Sonico figures, I bought quite a number of them, the Dragon Toy figure of Sonico was a good purchase, she can be considered as fully dressed, but still has a sexy direction and cute expression. She is nicely made with a lot of details on her outfit and body. Overall it’s a very pretty figure of the Super Sonico character with less exaggerative proportions.

In the end I will probably have to pay for 4 expensive figures. Mammon from Orchid Seed, Sorceress WHS from Max Factory, Chitose from Rocket Boy and maybe Yazawa Nico from ALTER.

There were 2 more canditates I really wanted to get, but these will also be released in June and my wallet can’t take all that.

Super Sonico The Animation – Sonico – Racing ver.

The most prominent character in terms of numbers in my figure collection is Sonico. New releases don’t happen as often as before anymore. So hearing about Max Factory making a new Sonico made me very happy. In this adaption Sonico squeezed herself into and outfit that belongs to Hatsune Miku which accentuates her curves perfectly, it’s more on the fanservice side especially when you look at her rear. Sculptor YOSHI created a marvellous figure and accomplished to apply Sonico’s major charm points, looking sweet and sexy at the same time.

Love Live! – Hanayo Koizumi

I like how these Love Live! figures from FREEing looked, very true to their origin, cute and in their school uniform. Hanayo is among my favorites in the anime, a sweet girl with glasses and we share the love for rice. Sure it’s a simple design, but it all looks charming this way.

GRANBLUE FANTASY – Danua

Without even knowing Granblue Fantasy or more about Danua, that figure has an amazing design. At first I was surprisefd how “dark” the figures atmosphere is, but in a great way. Danua is a cute demon girl, I must again say how lovely she looks as sullen beauty and she has nice boobs, too. I would love to get the figure with her unique expression. My concern is that Kotobukiya shows some inconstancy in terms of choosing skintone material, for me it’s a strict hot or not criteria. It’s related to one of my most shocking unpack experiences afterall :p

ToHeart2 Dungeon Travelers: Fighter Sasara

As second Kotobukiya figure of interest it’s Sasara in bikini armor. She is so sexy with her curvy body and has a beautiful head. It’s a big 1/6 beauty, I really like her concept and articulation. Unfortunately 14000 Yen after discount is a rather heavy price.

Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- Naka-chan

Seeing such a cool figure of Naka-chan made me super happy and excited, It looks super elaborate from tip to toe. The figure also allows you to display her damaged and bashful or as her general energetic self with intact clothes. There also was a special version with three different expressions, but at 17000 Yen without shipping, I’d rather get the other version.

Nendoroid – Kantai Collection – Shigure Kai Ni

The Kancolle Destroyer girls are totally are my soft spot, someone should finally make something about Samidare I also like Shigure a lot. Shigure as Nendoroid received some more love from GSC, she comes with special event clothes that she was wearing in the game. She can be dressed as valentine and as beach girl. I especially like the adorable beach outfit.

“Burning Love!” Can you show me a cooler Kongo than this, period. I guess not haha.
Phat Company created an impressive figure of her, capturing her self conscious and determined personality. She’s even scaled 1/7 which makes the figure even more interesting.

I like this Idol with her overdose of moe and the bubbling energy she emits (*＾▽＾)／. Ah, seriously her face and posing is so sweet. Her detailed outfit and hair should look great in 1/8.

Valkyria Chronicles DUEL – Selvaria Bles – Everlasting Summer

This figure is so pretty, I mean she has a beautiful face and a good looking, hot body. Though the style of Raita is politely said, quite different. Of course I’m not against the proportions of her body, but the difference in size of her head makes it look out of balance, I can’t unsee or accept it that easily. Actually, why does she have bird-of-paradise plants between her legs?

Super Sonico – Cowgirl

The sculptor gave the figure such a sweet and adorable face and a cute chubby body, a bikini can never be a wrong choice, but I can’t get over the silly western outfit on her ¯\_(⊙︿⊙)_/¯. I like old US Western movies a lot, but no. The western parts aren’t even castoffable *sob*.

Diebuster – Lal’C Mellk Ma

It really has been some time since I watched Diebuster, I remember that I liked it. Max Factory made an appealing figure of main character Lal’C, her design looks very nice. It’s one of those figures that look great on a desk, with a chilled, sitting pose and subtle friendly expression.

Saber / Altria Pendragon [Alter] Dress Ver

…are there more Saber or Hatsune Miku figures? Some characters apparently never get old, like Saber. ALTER created another interesting concept of her Alter ego, as Altria Pendragon in a wonderful dark evening dress, she looks really overwhelming in her stance and overall design. To make fans of bare shoulders happy, as well the sleeves can be taken off.

Shame on me, I must admit that I know nothinng about her and her anime,  but doesn’t she look beautiful? With her skintone, her lovely face and her creeative or better said rarely seen pose, she makes a good impression.

Upcoming figures I’m interested in

Original Character – Magic Bullets – Swimsuit ver

I have noticed this figure at the sidelines of the latest Wonderfestival. It’s apparent that I love my elaborately sculpted bikini figures, they look marvellous and carry a breeze of summer. The figure is based on an illustration from Sasaoka Gungu. The original character is cute and her naturally buxom body shows nice tan effects. Preorders for her will open in mid june.

After  I listed everything, I think I would give Naka- chan and Danua prority, I also really like Lal’C Mellk Ma, the Shigure Nendoiroid and the bikini girl at the end. What about you?

Sometimes as figures collector it happens , that you will see a figure, you know you would actually like, but there might be reasons that prevent you from preodering. It’s not the first time I got my hands on a figure that was already released a few years later. The recent late purchase happened with this Super Sonico – Rock ‘n’ Roll Valentine version which was released in August 2014. Last year, I finallly had the right mindset to get this lovely figure ♡.

The figure was a colaboration of Wing and Sentinel. The sculptor Busujima Takamaki turned an official illustration by Tsuji Santa into a truly wonderful figure. Super Sonico – Rock ‘n’ Roll Valentine is a 1/6 scaled figure, with a height of 25 cm she has a good size and presence.

Super Sonico the easily flustered gravure Idol is very good for all kinds of merchandise, especially figures. After many Sonico figures have been made, we learned that the cute and buxom character can be portrayed as embarassed, flustered but also happy figure.

Wing and Sentinel decided to make their Rock ‘n’ Roll Valentine version happy and cheerful.

The figure has alternative face plates, there is a winking face and a face with both eyes opened, both are equally cute and appealing. The face shows beautifully painted eyes and blush. The opened mouth has a cute shape and upper frontal teeth, it’s a lovely face overall.

On her head Sonico wears her trademark headphones painted in a shiny metallic color, below is her beautiful and smooth, pastel pink hair, I always love her fluffy hairstyle, the strands in general are very elaborate, but also at the back they show a very detailed and dynamic flow.

Sonico wears a cute heavenly blue bikini with big polka dots. Her bikini is sculpted in a detailed way to have a stretched look at the corners of her top. The bottom part is very tight and digs into her skin. The top is made to be castoffable, arms and head come off to make the process easier, blue ribbons hide the detaching points. Sonico can hold a guitar, that is supposed to look like it is made of brown and white chocolate and already started melting.

As special feature the package also has differently sized adhesive and re usable chocolate splatter stickers, it’s a funny gimmick. You can decorate the figure like a little piglet ;D

Sonico has a nicely developed buxom body, the cuddly appearance is really sweet in this figure adaption, this cute little belly is quite charming. She also has nicely shaped and ample boobs, in just the right size for Sonico, some other figures of her don’t care about the official sizes and portray her with more than she should have. This Sonico figure here shows her with marvelous wide hips, another really prominent part are her her meaty and very womanly thighs, it looks so great!

Final Words

Wing and Sentinel created a without much exaggeration, a fantastic and also creative adaption of Super Sonico, the figure delivers everything I like about the girl, she looks extremely cute and cheerful. Since this is not my first Sonico the bar for another one was already quite high, what speaks for this figure is the great portrayal of Sonico’s attractively plump body. The face shows her positive, strong cheerfulness accentuated by a contagiously bright smile. I’m delighted that I added another very appealing Sonico to my figure collection.

Hi fellow figure collectors, a few days ago the first Wonderfestival of 2016 happened.

The Wonderfestival 2016 [Winter], it’s a main event for figure manufacturers to showcase their upcoming and planned figures. Illustrations, early prototypes and colored samples are shown at the several booths. Even though I’ve never been there in person, it’s always a highlight for me. In this post I will feature everything that caught my interest, normal and ecchi figures. I follow Wonfes since some years now, figures got so elaborate over the years.

My personal list of interest consist of 45 items, prototypes and illustrations included.

I desired and slightly expected to see this wonderful Sonico painted already, apparently I will have to wait a few more months. I like everything about this sweetly smiling, curvy girl.

Phat Company really appears to be on a good run, this other Granblue Fantasy figure, is apparently the most elaborate and challenging figure of the Wonfes 2016 Winter. The Wonderfestival [SUMMER] event of 2015 recently took place at Makuhari Messe Halls 1-8.
Twice a year this large figure fair features the latest and upcoming products in the figure collecting world, scale figures, Nendoroids, action figures and Garage Kits are in the spotlight.

This figure is scaled 1/6 and shows next to an adorable face an impressive body sculpting. The wide open hot pants make it more ecchi than necessary, anyway ALTER’s Lala is a beauty.

I guess a few of you waited for this figure, already in this rough prototype it’s a fantastic sculpt, it combines the elegance of a kimono with traditional umbrella and the charmig appeal points of a woman. The revealed shoulders are really nice （*´▽｀*）

An interesting concept, don’t ask me why ALTER became so ecchi with their figures, actually I don’t really mind. What about you?

Ano Natsu de Matteru – Tanigawa Kanna – Swimsuit ver

This pretty, young lady is also scaled 1/6 in her beach related outfit she looks very good. Kanna’s short hair and expressive face also add a lot to this figure.

Love Live! School Idol Festival – Yazawa Niko

ALTER’s Love Live! figures are all really sparkling items with detailed and creative outfits. Here is an overview of figures to be made. When looking at this Overview I probably would instantly buy Nozomi and Hanayo. My other favorite character is Niko, which was shown this time. Her outfit is literally exploding with details and the cheerfulness is amazing.

Super Sonico The Animation – Sonico – Racing ver

This gave me a quite a heartattack as I saw a Sonico made by Max Factory and sculpted by YOSHI. Race version of Sonico shows her in a cheerful outfit with a new hairstyle and beautiful boobs. It’s a feel good Sonico figure where she smiles as much as the viewer. To be honest I was sure to stop collecting Sonico figures this year before seeing her new version.

Some of the Kancolle enemies are incredibly cute, this lady with the big hands for example. Her shy gaze is great, she probably needs a hug from the Admiral. … and these thighs are just marvelous.

I liked the anime she is based on and as far as I can remember I also liked the character.

Dragon’s Crown – Sorceress

A wonderful adaption of the Sorceress character, she’s pretty and the single bare feet really gives her something special.

Monogatari Series – Sengoku Nadeko – Medusa ver

In the anime I quickly started to hate this crazy monster, but she’s also insanely cute with the white hair and little girl attitude. They did a great job with capturing that and added a great base.

Amagi Brilliant Park – Sento Isuzu – Tiramie – Pirates ver

Part of Isuzu’s appeal in this certain episode actually was that she didn’t feel flustered by wearing that outfit or after being captivated by pirates XD Still she looks great as the strong, developed girl she is and the expression makes her cuter. As little extra she steps on Tiramie.

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata – Sawamura Spencer Eriri

This looks seriously very good. From the beautifully sculpted hair to the cute pouting expression or the nicely articulated pose the sweet Enri appears like a great figure.

Kantai Collection ~Kan Colle~ – Bismarck

This time the german ships are in the roadmap of GSC’s Kancolle figures, I think they could have made a few more japanese ships before, so I will say “bye, bye possible Samidare figure”. Bismarck has some good potential, the colors should come out great.

Kantai Collection ~Kan Colle~ – Prinz Eugen

“Einen schönen Tag” Prinz Eugen is a super cute cruiser I unfortunately don’t have in my fleet. I actually have fun to mess her up in PvP matches ahaha. The pose is a little static, but it should turn out nice, nevertheless.

Shokugeki no Souma – Nakiri Erina

I haven’t seen this anime nor do I know if it’s entertaining, nevertheless I think that Nakiri Erina looks interesting on her throne.

Yuudachi rolls out to accompany Shigure I’m really happy that she was announced now, in Kai Ni she’s one of the prettiest fleet girls in the Destroyer class. I would like to put her next to my already ordered Shigure.

I rarely buy Nendoroids, I’m always scared of breaking them. But I actually like to see them in pictures. Ooyodo looks sweet, I love her glasses and the cute spunky expression of her.

Bakuon!! – Suzunoki Rin

This girl on motorbike looks so cute, she’s only scaled 1/10 , maybe this also has some positive aspects like being space saving or easy to transport for photography.

Granblue Fantasy – Io – Manatsu no Chiisa na Lady

A small, girly girl with big sunflower, so cute o(≧∇≦o) I totally like her gentle facial expression and the innocent feel she emits.

The Idolmaster (TV Animation) – Miura Azusa

Phats casual idols have been quite nice so far and this looks great, too. I still like the first idols more, especially Azusa was a character I liked. In this prototype, the figure shows soft facial features and nice clotthes.

Some folks say that Naka chan is somewhat annoying, but I like her cheerful personality and after Kai Ni remodel she looks really fancy and sparkling. I’m glad that QuesQ makes a cute figure of her.

Takao always stands in Atago’s shadow, especially in the Game she’s timid and a little sad. In the anime though, she’s more open and bold. As I noticed this figure I was surprised, wow! Takao looks beautiful, I’m definetely interested in this happy girl. She would probably look good next to Atago from Max Factory.

Ahh, I should have waited for this figure instead of ordering a small Figfix ;D Nagato is my favorite battleship in Kancolle followed by Littorio and Yamashirou. I like her tall appearance and the overall design.

I don’t know this character yet, but Maia looks quite appealing there.

Shingeki no Bahamut – Mystery Warden-Spinne

Thats a cute Bahamut figure, I love her nice looking outfit with all the details and colors.

Freesia – 4-Leaves – Tony’s Heroine Collection

Thats the third butterfly heroine, the first one was cheerful, the second one was sexy. Fresia is probably the cute Yandere, I wasn’t especially interested in the others, but Freesia is what I probably would like.

Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA – Prisma Illya

Illya shows a great smile, but where are her clothes!? It feels like there is a new loli figure trend, since Orchid Seed manufacturered a rather questionable posed little girl. Amakuni follows with two little girls from Prisma Illya with only a little more cloth and something too cover their petite chests. I feel slightly uncomfortable with young characters presented like this, but there should be a number of fans ^^.

At least Kuro has panties on ok in a inapropriate seductive fashion XD Is it just me or do the belly buttons look strange with this pointy circle, maybe they should eat more.

Without knowing this character I instantly felt drawn to it, I like the twintails, the pose and her sad gaze.

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann – Yoko Littner – Bunny ver

Yoko returns as big bunny suite figure. Yeah that is probably something she can wear.

Strike Witches Operation Victory Arrow – Charlotte Yeager – Bunny Style

That might be something, I would be interested in, it’s a cool outfit

Nico Robin – Portrait Of Pirates Limited Edition – Ver.BB

I always wondered why the adult Nami and Robin turned out like this in One Piece, isn’t the character designer a bit greedy. Nami already caught my attention with her stunning, stylized body, Robin also belongs to the BB line. I like it. While I don’t think bad about this figure, I think the figure would look nice if her boobs were only half that big.

Kantai Collection ~Kan Colle~ – Kaga – Swimsuit ver

Personally I think that this was the most elaborate figure sculpt of Wonfes. Kaga-san in a figure adaption, that pulls her out of the Kancolle universe and presents her as beautiful lady in a tasteful beach outfit. Unfortunately it’s a garage kit and probably hard to get.

Shingeki no Bahamut – Helblindi – Spellsong; Summer

Flare is a relatively new company, that surprised me with a number of interesting prototypes, Hellbindi looks very pretty with lots of fine details, I’m looking forward to see her colored.

Yukari on tank cleaning duty, thats a cute scene, which was captured with this figure.

The fact that this figure is based on an illustration of F.S. makes me interested in this figure prototype. The artist charakters always have distinctive, pretty faces and good looking body proportions, she should turn out great.

Inu x Boku SS – Roromiya Karuta

I guess everyone likes Karuta, so a cute figure of her definetely will find my approval.

Shinmai Maou no Keiyakusha – Naruse Mio

I haven’t seen the anime beyond episode 01 and after seeing several gif of the specials I rather keep it unfinished. Nevertheless wieselhead would not be wieselhead if I had no love for busty anime heroines （*´▽｀*）. Mio looks like she is in a good mood and her pose is sexy and confident.

Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka – Hestia

After inspecting my Sonico figure from Kaitendoh, I developed a positive attitude torwards the company, it’s nice that they will make a figure of the short, but curvy goddess Hestia. The anime unfortunately took a bad turn, but Hestia is fun. With the prototypes different colored top the option to castoff is at least indicated.

Maken-Ki! – Nijou Aki

Orchid Seed is slow with finalizing their prototypes from years ago as always, it’s not surprising anymore. At least one more positive news from their booth was the beautiful Aki sensei, fully painted and appealing. I just noticed that she is wearing no panties, oh damn. Well, don’t mind XD Since I like her face a lot I would order her without a second thought.

Mahou Shoujo – Nitta Yui
