Surprised?
Well, I don’t always have sexy ladies on review. Todays topic is Kafuu Chino made by Ques Q.
Chino appears in the Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? anime as one of the 3 main characters.
She and her friends work part time in the food service area, Chino works at her family cafe.
She works dilligently and takes her tasks seriously and actually is a composed loli character.
I really liked Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? this sweet slice of life show, where cute girls were doing cute things. The atmosphere was great and the comedy was hilariously funny.
Chino is 13 years old and a rather short girl, also for her age. The certain characterdesign of Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? also gives her a young appearance. Chino’s figure was manufactured by Ques Q and sculpted by Shima, she is scaled 1/7, but considering her official data she is 1, 44 m, so the figures height of 18 cm make her even smaller than she should be.
I actually expected another figure to arrive first, but I quickly realized how I wanted to take pictures of Chino chan. So after grabbing all pieces I could start with taking pictures. Since the anime mainly showed events inside the cafe, I wanted to recreate the feeling of a classy cafe.
Design wise, it’s apparently a simple figure, that fact though doesn’t make any less adorable. The Junior High summer uniform looks great on her, the white maincolor is accompanied by navy blue details, tie and the small golden buttons are a great element. The skirt of her can be taken off, but I’m only interested in such cast off features with Onee sama like characters.
The creature she is carrying around is named Tippy. Tippy actually is Chino’s grandfather, trapped in a female angora rabbit’s body.
As optional part Chino has a super cute hat with magnet feature.
She looks super cute and chic with this hat, but also without it, she is a still a cute little lady, her bright lavender colored hair with smooth strands and cross hairclipson each side.
Chino has a cute round face with prominent and pretty blue eyes decals. The blush is nicely placed under her eyes. Her tiny point open mouth underlines her composed personality.
Final Words
When I buy figures, it’s not really important to me, to know the origin or the characters personality. Nevertheless sometimes appealing figures of animes characters I hold dear are made. It’s the case with Kafuu Chino, she is my sweet memento of the anime, a very good one. This relatively simple figure turned out very well, she has a really pretty outfit and is a convincing figure adaption of Chino. Two points to critisize are 1. the misleading scale label and 2. that the skincolor turned out slightly yellowish, nothing of that is a deal break, though.
Chino shows a lot of cuteness and has good photogenic potential. With 7.820 Yen she was rather cheap. For those interested Chino also available in her Winter School Uniform.

I like nice simple figures like these a lot. Sure, those extravagant marvels of sculpting are amazing but simple is good too. It’s good to see you doing something cute again, may be I can visit your blog in public again. 😛
I like Chino, she is very cute. Whenever I see images of her I just keep getting these feelings that she is warm, soft and relaxing.
The set is pretty neat too, I wish I lived near so I could take advantage of your prop building skills and borrow them.

Sure manufacturers want to brag with figures with dynamic poses and that is what many collectors are looking for, but sometimes simple things can be pretty nice.
I’m happy that they made her, I also would be interested in her friends or characters of other moe anime like Non Non Biyori.
Lol, I’m not running a H figure blog here ;D, but a less ecchi one once in a while is probably not bad.
Yeah, she’s a charming loli character, she is a bit like Renge with her composed reactions.
I reused a few things I’ve build earlier this year. I could put the whole set in a box and ship it XD

Magnetic hats, what an age we live in. This figure looks really nice. Using shiny gold paint for the buttons versus a dull gold color was a smart choice as it really helps in making her stand out. Nice review!
Love the backdrop, especially the lamp at the back. Where did you get those?
wieselhead
Haha but it is a great invention for figures ^^ I agree, the buttons make her outfit complete.
Thank you I made it some bits shorter ( ^∇^)
I ordered them online at a doll house supply shop, the light feature is cool and bright 😀

Cute XD, She don’t have dynamic pose but I think, that’s what I like from her , less ecchi is very surprising lol, even for a loli figures you should just find a way to make it shameful XD,or Seems you have change of feeling and become loli lovers 😛 just kidding ahahaha

Chino definetely is ヾ(^∇^). She is not so dynamic as person, but that makes her unique, I liked this figure instantly.
I could have included some panty shots, but Chino has not any ecchi atmosphere with this innocent white uniform.
Nah I’m too old to like that, some are cute, but not more. Lets say that I really like the sophisticated loli (Renge;D) as well as the hime sama type.

Amazing photos and diorama. Would love to try making dioramas someday.

Hi Samejima, thank you very much for your comment ( ^∇^)
What I basically do is a one wall diorama like thing. It’s not as time consuming as one might think.
With improvisational adding of random parts I consider to add something to the setting, I create my setups.
