The previous Wonderfestival post took most of my energy, but here is another figure review. She was recently released precisely on the 28th January 2015 and it’s actually my first figure from manufacturer Wing, a rather new manufacturer with business connections to GSC.

I already found a few figures from Wing very appealing, but I was most convinced by
Event Staff Onna no Ko, she has no real name since she’s actually an original character illlustration from Ishikei, he does very elaborate, but also rather ecchi works of pretty girls. This profile illustration was used as a mascot of the Comiket two or three years ago.

The figure was sculpted by Ishizaki Saori, someone quite new in this field of work, but he or she ( I never really know when reading these names) was given a nice opportunity to create a distinctive figure, well done Saori. The Event Staff girl is scaled 1/6 with 25 cm, even when taking the bendover pose into account it’s actually closer to 1/7, I don’t really mind, though.

Event Staff girl fires a happy smile over her shoulder, she has very big and detailed amber colored eyes, which have a cartoonish style and are framed by red glasses, the upper half is left open to put no obstacle in front of her beautiful eyes. Her whole face is beautiful with a nice rounded shape, the detailed, slightly opened mouth shows a nice upper front teeth line.

The figures waving straw blonde hair shows appealing shading and detailed strands, for my taste it could be sculpted  a degree finer, but it’s a bit bulky compared to the illustration.

Comiket is probably an event of the cold season, since the lady is wearing a warm leather jacket with hood and warm boots. Her clothes look nice with detailed shading and realistic wrinkles and seams, jacket and boots have a furry outline. Her boots slightly resemble Timberlands, which give her some Hip Hop credibility, also because of the shiny yellow hot pants that accentuate her butt, she looks a bit like one of these background dancers.

The Comiket staff is sporting a really bold outfit, it’s not something you should wear in public, but I also think she looks really cool in that dress with her jacket, half transparent, dark rim stockings and hot pants.

A cast off option is the feature of this figure, she simply has two different upper bodies you can exchange, it’s easy, there is no paint transfer nor light scratches occur when switching parts back and forth. On thing I noticed during the cast off, is that her left arm is separately attached, when you put the head on her neck the hair hides the point of attachment anyway.

You can choose between the jacket covered piece, or the one with bare breasts where she pulls down her shirt, both options look good, with more visible skin her sex appeal is on a different level, apparently. The figure has pretty boobs, which are more on the bigger side of things. But also her belly is beautiful and also her back part knows how to convince.

The figure presents her cute well defined butt with a smile. her behind is actually rather big, but not too big, the arched back makes it appear even more prominent and attractive.

Her legs length appear somewhat  shorter than we often see on regular anime related figures, together with the nicely plump thighs this “shortness” makes her even cuter and attractive in appearance. She’s lovely as petite blonde girl with well endowed feminine attributes. I like the playful character of this figure, when she sticks out her butt and turns her head backwards in a cute manner, the glasses give her something innocent in strong contrast to her visible buttocks and add they a lot to her expression.

The body sculpting looks really attractive and also shows a pretty skincolor and texture. At her shirt straps and arm band, are two areas that could have been sanded down more smoothly, but since these areas are just something around 1,5mm, it’s no mayor issue.

Final Words

My first, first hand impression with Wing was a pleasant one with Event Staff Onna no Ko as my figure of choice. I’m also quite happy to have such a good looking figure with glasses now, I like characters with glasses a lot, but unfortunately my figures rarely have such a feature. The Event Staff  girl is a convincing figure, the two different display option are fun to have, while I slightly prefer the half nude version, both are nice and have their right to exist.

On another note this figure has an incredibly nicely sculpted body and a pose that brings out her feminine nature. On close inspection the illustration which was used to make this figure is a little different in a few aspects, but the essential things are covered in this figure adaption, Event Staff Onna no Ko is really pretty, the big eyes combined with the glasses make her incredibly cute, additional to that she has this bombshell body. I decided for a darker setting this time, I will probably take pictures of her again with a brighter set in mind.

Another Senran Kagura figure is ready for review, my pace is horrible, listen to my advice, never order more than two figures a month. Katsuragi is the second one, after I was already positively surprised by Hibari, I also wanted to get the next one. Phat Company continues
with the adaption of Senran Kagura figures from the Ringo Renmei garage kit circle.

Katsuragi was released in the end of September 2013. The figure is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 20 cm, the person in charge of sculpting was Amasu who also created Hibari for Phat Company.

The anime was based on the Game/Manga and already aired, I reviewed it some time ago here. While not perfect, but very entertaining it created a boost in terms of  announced Senran Kagura figures and other merchandise. A distinctive feature of Senran Kagura is the buxom characterdesign with a healthy amount of cuddly curves on most of the characters bodies.

Katsuragi is a third year student of the National Hanzo Academy, together with her friends Asuka, Hibari, Yagyuu and Ikagura, she  takes part in the secret Ninja classes. Katsu nee is a rather perverted member of the girls, she loves to harass Asuka and sometimes Ikagura by fondling their breast for her own pleasure, contrarily she doesn’t feel comfortable when being touched by others. She doesn’t mean any harm by this and is quite attached to her friends.

She is a tough fighter and always searches new challenges and stronger opponents. Although she easily to provoke and a rather hot headed character, which sometimes backfires at her. Katsu nee is specialized in kicks therefore her armored boots are actually her weapons.

Katsuragi is supposed to be 17, she is 165 cm in height and her three sizes are 95 – 57 – 90.

Hair & Face

Even when Katsuragi is a little wild and bold girl, her hairstyle is rather feminine with long blonde hair and huge blue ribbons. The hair looks quite elaborate with all these strands coming out, they are shaped very smooth with rounded edges, so far I’ve noticed no rough areas. The whole backpart appears to be made of one solid piece, the often unpreventable middle seam is hidden by the blue ribbon. The color shows a nice gradient from pastel blonde to caramel brown.

It’s hard to believe that someone with such an adorable sweet face has a pervy part in her personality. Anyway Katsuragi is very cute with her face that is radiating a very happy atmosphere. She has detailed green eyes with lovely blushmarks underneath, her open mouth features an upper front teeth line, something I find very appealing on figures.

Body & Outfit

Posed in a very cheerful and energetic way and pushing out her impressive bust give Katsuragi an interesting and playful appearance. The open shirt reveals most of her upper body from the chest to her belly button, but don’t expect it to be castoffable. What also meets the eye nicely shaped legs with smooth thighs. The skintone is nice and there is some shading here and there.

Katsuragi is not so bold to wear her school uniform like this everyday, it is her official “Shinobu Transformation” outtfit. Well, it’s not much different from her summer uniform. She is wearing her unbuttoned shirt in a bra less fashion, she also has a lovely blue minirock with an interesting square pattern printed on. She has striped panties, which are purposely hidden by her flowing skirt. As footwear she has loose socks and heavy boots resembling samurai armor.

Final Words

Katsuragi is a nice figure, she’s the image of a bright and energetic figure and a cute blonde girl. Im no real fan of her personality, but I love her character design, the clothes, the colors and the overall style. The figures quality is good with appealing sculpting and nice details, she also has a solid feel to her.

Katsuragi was made by the same sculptor  and so she looks very good next to Hibari, it’s nice that they are a matching in height and style. Overall the Senran Kagura figures from Phat Company are really nice. A version of Katsuragi which is more focused on the curves and and a bit bigger, is the upcoming one from AmiAmi zero. Im not disinclined to get this one as well.

Back to my female figures and today I will present you a review of my all time favourite Mahou Shoujo, Takamachi Nanoha. I would like to see a new anime of her and her wife Fate.  They should adapt Vivid or Force, the latest manga, todays reviewed figure is based on. Most fans already found their ideal Nanoha among the many figures that were made so far, but  not me.

I actually received the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 2nd A’s Nanoha Nendoroid a little earlier but today I’ll review the latest swimsuit figure from Alphamax.

The figure is scaled 1/6 and has a height of  260 mm, Alpha Max released her in mid February.

Even though Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS is my least favorite season, I always liked the subtle portrayed lesbian relationship between Nanoha and Fate without making a fuss about it, it is really cute to seeFate as wife part while Nanoha is the more bold and stricter one.

Hair & Face

This figure has a cute hairstyle in a fox brown color, the front hair surrounds the face nicely.
The deep hanging fringe which consist of  several different strands is a sweet detail. On the right Nanoha has a massive side ponytail hold by a red hairband. The ponytail looks amazingly good and is a real eyecatcher, it has a nice amount of details and even some seperated strands, the opposite side feautures a bush of strands. Overall the hair is very well done and shows good shading. Also Nanoha’s face is beautiful from frontal view it’s looks best. Her eyes radiates the friendly kindness of her anime character, underneath her eyes subtle blushmarks are applied.

To round up the sweet appearance of the figures face, her mouth was engraved nicely, it lets the figure appear even livelier and adds a certain warmth.

Body & Outfit

I love loli Nanoha as character and terms of appearance the most, but looking at her grown up,
I must admit that she looks quite georgeous, her tall, slender body in combination with her comparatively big boobs is really sexy. On a side note in the Force story Nanoha is 25 years old.

The bikini seems to be an own idea from the sculptor, I couldn’t find it in any Nanoha swimsuit illustration at hand. Nevertheless it’s a pretty pastel pink thing with a strong feminine touch, the color goes very well with Nanoha’s skin color. Her bikini model varies from the often used, underboob provoking designs. I like the more innocent and casual design with the ribbons.

Under her cups is a band, which seems to give more support to her boobs and pushes them a bit up. One of the things I really like on this figure is that the straps have distance to her body, instead of just being scratched on the figure, the “stretchiness” gives a nice realistic touch, as if the bikini top would really carry something. In her reliable bikini Nanoha has a nice cleavage, her boobs appear bouncy and squishy like that. But Nanoha isn’t only about breasts, her whole body is well defined and sexy, Alpha Max is really good at body sculpting. The figure has pretty collarbones, shoulders, arms and a lovely backside, too bad that she only has eyes for Fate

Final Words.

This figure of a grown up Takamachi Nanoha is quite charming, she has a very cute, gentle face and the huge screwed side ponytail that gives her an interesting design. Swimsut figures are often seen as something rather plain compared to figures in more complex outfits in action poses, but I think that this swimsuit Nanoha  makes up for it with her big 1/6 scale size and the appealing lively posing. I admit that I thought about canceling this order close before releaase, but now Im really glad that I didn’t, she is a super sweet figure and it’s good to see that Alpha Max didn’t dissapoint, they are at a good quality level. Nanoha has a attractive sculpted body with nice body proportions. From the two Alpha Max figures I’ve bought this is my favorite one.

The Sonico – Gravure Swimsuit version figure was manufactured by Alpha Max and released in the middle of June 2012. The figure is scaled 1/6 and has a height of 260 mm. She is bigger than a 1/7 scaled figure, but definetely smaller than all of the 1/6 scaled figures in my collection.

I tried to cut back on my Sonico figure purchases and my interest in this figure wasn’t that fix to begin with. I really wanted her at first, then I lost my interest in her and in the end I wanted this Sonico again. Figures these days are sold out very fast at the big japanese shops and you shouldn’t be that hesitant if you want to be sure to get your copy. Fortunately there are local dealers where you can decide to buy a figure even weeks after the release in Japan.

This figure is not based on an ecchi illustration that is showing Sonico in a teased and embarrased state, it’s the first happy Sonico figure that has been released so far. The figure is based on the game Sonicomi by Nitro+ where Sonico is an aspiring Gravure Idol at the start of her career.

Sonico has nice looking and detailed hair, with many sculpted strands and a soft look overall.
It features the typical pink color gradient, on top she has elaborately sculpted headphones that she actually never takes off. Her head is tilted and turned, as if she is posing during a shooting.

Alpha Max did a good job in recreating Sonico’s look from the Sonicomi game, especially the energetic and friendly eyes were captured very well. With this face her cuteness overshadows her sex appeal by far, even though she is dressed like that. Sonico has a happy open mouth with a nice upper front teeth line. I have no experience with Alpha Max as manufacturer, but it is nice that they gave blushmarks to the final product, unlike other manufacturers. Im looking at you Native and Orchid Seed! Anyway this Sonico is quite cute and looking at her makes me happy.

Sonico is wearing an open shirt with a shiny, skimpy bikini underneath, her legs are equipped with fishnet stockings and on her feet she is wearing black and shiny high heels. As little accessory she wears a cute necklace with stars and a little guitar around her neck. Stockings with a bikini are no strange combination, people who say this just have a lack of sense for fashion.

The shirt is castoffable, it is made of soft and flexible material, you just have to take off her head and pull the arms out of her body. For the bikini display option two alternative arms are included, the gaps are hidden conveniently under two ribbons. The bikini top also comes off easily, the material is flexible and causes no paint transfer on the figures body.

The bikini is super shiny, nearly like a mirror that reflects its surrounding. The top is skimpy and offers some underboob and sideboob views, she shouldn’t run with this kind of bikini top XD.

The slip part is quite skimpy at the front, apparently Sonico is shaved at her private area, what am I saying? seriously  The figure is sculpted in a standing pose with a nice arched back, she also has nicely sculpted and fairly sized boobs with light pink pointy nipples. With her arms like that the boobs seem to be lifted upwards by Sonico’s shoulder muscles. Her midriff and the wider hips give her a very female appearance. Her legs are slender and very long unlike in most other figure adaptions. With her pose, the cute face and her attractive body Sonico has a strong presence.

You can also dress this Sonico figure with bare boobs and the white shirt as display option. Ehh! whats with this insect punk, get off Sonico!

Final words

Im satisfied with this Sonico figure adaption of Alpha Max even though she isn’t my favorite Sonico figure. Her face is only slightly less detailed than the one from Native or the Bondage versions from Orchid Seed, but with the more sensual and teased face expressions they appear somehow more interesting than the Gravure Swimsuit figure of this review. But after the mainly ecchi figures of Sonico it’s very nice to see a figure of her in an happy and cheerful state.

This a figure that portrays the innocent and happy side of Sonico very well. Alpha Max quality is pleasing, in this figure adaption they offered a clean and appealing sculpted body and a good and clean paintjob.

I had this title on my “going to watch list” for a long time. Recently I found the time to watch it.
I actually knew nothing about the story of Witchblade before I started watching it. I just knew the cover of the anime which showed a sexy redhead demon lady in an quite revealing armor suit.

Witchblade is a 24 episode long anime which was aired from April 6, 2006 to September 21, 2006. Surprisingly It was based on the American comic by the same name, but instead of a mere adaptation, it was decided to create an entire new setup, with all new characters.

The cover of Witchblade is a little misleading, to be honest I was slightly disappointed by the lack of fanservice, I mean Masane (Masa-mune) has a great pair of boobs XD. Aside from one beach episode where she was wearing a revealing bikini, there wasn’t much that would deserve the term fanservice at all and she often wore the same set of clothes. One ecchi part might be the heavy breathing from Masane in Witchblade mode, or the perverted enemy’s in the first episodes.

Setting

In the 22th Century a catastrophe unknown origin occurred that destroyed a big part of the area around Tokyo. The 17 year old Masane Amaha, wakes up in these ruins she lost most of her memories and has a strange mark around her wrist. Next to her lies a baby, who appears to be her daughter Rihoko. Six years later she and her daughter Rihoko are on the run from the government child welfare agency that wants to take Rihoko away from Masane.

One day Rihoko is taken away by the child welfare agency and Masane is taken into custody by the police. During the night of the custody Masane is attacked by a mysterious creature.
A light emits from the mark around her wrist and Masane transforms into the new wielder of the Witchblade. In the further progress Masane comes in contact with Doji Industries, a big fish in the weapon industry and her boss the charismatic Takayama. He hires her to get more data about the Witchblade and uses her for other secret tasks, the job is very well paid, but it is a quite demanding one, not only that she has to deal with the tasks from Doji, she also has to deal with members of the competing organisation NSWF who is also interested in the Witchblade.

The events in and between these two different companies are an interesting part of this anime, different parties aspire for power and a lot of intrigues between them occurs.

Impressions

Masane was raised in an orphanage and never really had the chance to become an adult mentally. She isn’t the smartest one, also a little mannerless, but she’s a very likeable person with her honest words and caring attitude torwards Rihoko. Rihoko is the center of her life, she can give her the cozy feeling of the family she never had. Masane doesn’t know it any better and isn’t the best when it comes to daily chore, but she loves her daughter and would do anything for her.

Rihoko has adapted to her not so perfect mother and is also quite attached to her, of course. Regarding her age she  is a very independent child and the one who always does the chore, she cooks and does the laundry without fail. The mother child roles are reverted quite often, these scenes are actually quite funny.

With a job Masane is officially allowed to take care of her daughter, she and Rihoko move into an appartment, their neighbors are nice people with unique and interesting personalities. They support Masane in taking care of Rihoko when she can’t be around because of her job.

This anime shows that the love from a mother is more important for a child than providing it with lots of toys, money and a big house. Ok, that might sound cheesy, but this anime manages to portray this mother – daughter relationship in a down to earth way, without being exaggerated.

The tragic part of this anime starts as it was revealed that the Witchblade is actually a curse, Masane desperately tries to get rid of the device around her wrist, but it seems to be impossible and her destiny slowly starts to affect her life…

The atmosphere of Witchblade can be quite funny, but most of the time it has a faint melancholic touch which suits the setting very well. A very good detail of this anime were the letters, at the end of each episode a personal letter from either Masane or Rihoko is read out loud, it is never shown if the letter reached the person it was adressed to, but at least the viewer gets a deeper image of the characters.

Final Words

Witchblade has a multi layered setting with a lot of twists, it is very well directed and tells an very riveting story about tough business, ruthless science and the love between a mother and a child.

There are many sidestories that enriches the overall plot. During the 24 episodes the anime puts the viewer through different moods from lighthearted comedy to tragedy, everything is done in a believable, non cheesy way. Surprisingly the main focus of this anime aren’t half nude and curvy women fighting each other, it’s more focused on the bond between the two main characters.

Production values are good and solid for an anime of 2006, the style is quite appealing. Also the OST is well done and supports the plot in a very good way.

I enjoyed this anime a lot, the story can be considererd as thrilling and addicting. The characters are also very well created, you’ll end up caring for them on an emotional level at least for Masane and Rihoko. Even though I would have been happier with a different kind of ending. The anime had a great story overall, and with this end I would still rate this anime with 8,5 out of 10 points.

Hi, I recently received the Super Sonico Bondage – Candy Pink version, back in the first half of 2011 I already received the normal Super Soniko Bondage version. I guess my affection and love torwards the Nitro+ mascot Soniko started around the time I wrote her review last year.

Its actually a funny coincidence that this review is the most popular post on my humble blog

Buying a figure twice just because of a different color scheme appeared a bit odd to me in the first place, but I liked the previous black version of this figure to such an extent, that I even ordered the alternative Super Sonico Bondage – candy pink version, which was released around 9 month later on January 17th 2012. She is also sculpted by Tanaka Masanori.
This Soniko is scaled 1/7 and castoffable. Without taking shipping and custom fees into account I paid 6,600 JPY, for the previous one it were 6,630 JPY.

This Sonico comes with a blue colored and textured base with silver font, this time the guitar is pink and looks quite nice like that, the stand of the guitar is painted in a shiny white color.

Another reason for ordering the alternative version of her was, that I had the small hope that Orchid Seed wouldn’t forget to add the blushmarks on her face this time. For me it was the only big letdown of the first Super Sonico Bondage version. In the illustration she was sculpted after, she had clearly visible blushmarks which couldn’t be found on the cheeks of the final figure.

This time Orchid Seed didn’t disappoint and delivered a figure with lovely rosy cheeks, they make the figure a lot more appealing. The look of Soniko being shy and flustered is very well recreated in her face. Another difference to the first figure is the hair which has a lighter pink colortone. The beautiful pink eyes, the headphones and the small opened mouth are the same as before.

Since it’s the same figure with just another color scheme I wanted to do something more different in this shooting. With pole dance getting more popular as a kind of fitness workout and inspired by the great Highschool DxD ending study x study, I decided to go for a strip club like setting. Personally I would never put Sonico into a public strip club, just in my private one ^-^

I wouldn’t like the thought of other people staring with leecherous eyes at my innocent Sonico. To put my idea into reality, I had to obtain 3 wooden sticks, a 25cm wooden disk, mirror tape and some purple effect film that I had already stored at home, the small banknotes are self printed.

In this color version Sonico has a quite different appearance and feel to her. Aside from the bold and quite slutty design of her outfit, the different colored clothes of the Candy Pink version give the figure a more innocent look. The pastel blue jacket is very nice. The pink parts of her outfit like the top and the boots are quite bright and have a metallic shine. The white underwear and real fishnet stockings also seem more fitting for her, it somehow creates a pure and romantic atmosphere, the stockings also seem to make her thighs appear thinner and less short.

As in the previous version the figure has different cast off stages, like on the normal version of the figure the cast-off procedure is well-thought-out. The pants come off with the legs and can be substituted with two additional legs, now you can admire Sonico in her pretty underwear .

Unfortunately on my copy the left extra leg has an ugly seam line around the buttock, both legs were covered with film, but it seems like something happened with the leg in the manufacturing process before. Maybe I will ask Orchid Seed if they could send me a flawless left leg. Don’t get me wrong, the overall quality of the figure is very good aside from that minor issue. The round and soft looking boobs are as lovely as they were on the original figure. Her body is sculpted in a very alluring way, the hips, the waist, the belly and the back, everything looks great and sexy.

 Final Words

Since it is my second review of a Super Sonico Bondage figure and overall just another color version, I tried not to repeat myself about the details about the figure in this review, I could have mainly said the same as about the previous one, so I wrote a bit less text this time.

Im really glad that my hopes for some cute blushmarks came true and that Orchid Seed altered this little detail while keeping the good parts of the previous figure, because of the blush I slightly prefer the alternative color scheme over the black version, nevertheless both are very good and sexy Soniko figures. Hehe now I have the opportunity to exchange the heads of both figures.

Today’s anime review is about Manyuu Hickenchu, after the past 6 anime reviews of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée , Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel , Ro-Kyu-Bu, Usagi Drop , Blood C and Mayo Chiki this will be the 7th and probably last anime review of Summerseason 2011

Sometimes there appear manga with an hilarious sounding setting you’d never thought of and sometimes it happens that this works will get an anime adaption, like Manyuu Hickenchu, a 12 episode long anime, made by Hoods Entertainment, who also made Seikon no Quaser. I would describe it as an ecchi roadmovie in an traditional japanese setting with comedy and a bit drama.

Chifusa the will be succesor of the clan can’t accept this social injustice and steals the scroll with all the secrets. The Manyuu Clan sends ninjas after her to get their important scroll back. Chifusa escaped wounded with leaving her friend Kaede behind. Kaede awaits a cruel punishment for letting Chifusa escape, her boobs will be cut off…………………………………..For Real?!………………….

At the second appearance of her pursuers Chifusa sees the “mutilated” Kanade she left behind at her escape. In the fight with her stepsister Kagefusa, Chifusa’s special ability is revealed, when she strikes her opponent with a sword she shrinks the boobs of her opponent and absorbs their breast size, so with every fight her cup size increases, which causes a few problems soon.
Her evil stepsister is in despair after loosing her big boobs and the other ninjas don’t want to attack Chifusa anymore, she takes her chance and escapes with Kanade into the forest.

Most of the time the show doesnt take itself very seriously, but there is also some believeable drama included. The comedy isn’t especially sophisticated, but its very well timed and features good slapstic, funny faces and funny remarks from the characters.

Hi there, today I’ll show you a real ero figure so this review is not really safe for work. It is about Menace from the popular Queen’s Blade franchise. This figure of Menace was produced by AmiAmi Zero she is scaled 1/7. Im slowly starting to prefer this bigger scale over my all time favorite scale 1/8, these slightly bigger figures have a somehow different feel to it. In the sitting pose Menace has a height of 16 cm and she was sculped by the talented Osiris who also was responsible for the sculpting of my beautiful Dwarf figure from Orchid Seed.

The products from AmiAmi Zero always looked ok to me, but I never felt much interest in them, that changed some weeks ago when I checked out the very nice Menace review of Ashlotte from HobbyHovel, his pictures of this attractive figure were very convincing. In the preview pictures she looked a lot different and never as nice like in the review.

The figure was released in May 2010 so I was a bit late with my urge to get her, first I thought I’m lucky when I found Menace for 90€ at a german shop, but they had no copy of her anymore they just forgot to update their in-stock number  (I hate this) . So what should Wieselhead do; give up? – no way. In the end I got her from ebay for around 145,00€ including 21€ customs fee. On top of that I had to pick her up personally from the customs office and the employee from the office opened the package to have a look whats inside X<.

Well I can tell you in advance that this Menace figure was worth the trouble in end

First some Informations about her and the backstory she has in the world of Queen’s Blade, infos are taken from the book Queen’s Blade Bitoshi Gaiden – Tome of the Ancient Princess.

1000 of years ago, Mencae was the princess of the Amara kingdom she was raised by her father the king of Amara and lived an happy even though naive life. She was a quite lonely princess, but she found a very good friend in Setra, an magical, talkactive scepter. Unfortunately the king was betrayed and killed by Anarista the once thrustworthy mentor of Menace. Menace was resurrected by the Swamp Witch to have her as a servant like Airi and Melona, whom she often is teamed up with. The Swamp Witch also equipped her with magical power. As princess she hasn’t the right attitude to be a loyal servant. After being resurrected Menace cares more about restoring her kingdom than following the witches commands. 

The characterdesign of Menace was done by F.S. an illustrator who made several Queens Blade books. F.S. was also involved in the sculpting process this figure looks true to her origin.

Like every Queens Blade character Menace has a quite revealing and sexy outfit with a certain theme. So here we have Menace with her egypt pharaoh dressup, she has a breastplate which doesn’t cover her boobs a lot, a fancy crown and a white scarf which is seperated into 5 parts.

Her outfit is sculpted and painted in a very detailed way, a color mix of mainly gold, silver, blue and white have been used and the glossy finish on the metal colored parts looks really great.
The breastplate, the crown and the scarf parts are actually castoffable, which is good when you are no real fan of *bling* *bling* pharao style. Underneath the breastplate is a navy blue blue top which exposes Menace boobs, most of the nice top can be seen at her backside.

This figure has interesting looking panties they resemble a shimapan (striped pantsu), but the closures at the sides give them a more fancy design. Other fixed parts are the ring armbands at her wrist, the brown bindings at her shanks and her high heeled chick shoes.

I prefer this figure without crown because I simple love the black hair of Menace, this figure is my first one with black haircolor and it suits her very well. I always had a weakness for black hair not only in the figure world ^^. I think black hair is cool, beautiful and attractive in general. The short haircut gives her the appearance of a self-confident, sexy women.

Another accessory of this figure is Menace faithfully companion Setra a speaking staff, he has a quite perverted attitude and likes to molester the opponents of her. The end of the staff is positioned under her butt, you could also flip the staff over If you like to XD. In case you dislike Setra or want to give her something different in hand you can pull the staff out of her hand.

After taking off the golden chestplate, the navy blue part of her dress remains which adds a bit more sexyness to her and accentuates her nicely shaped boobs and the well-defined puffy nipples. I like that her boobs are not as big as the ones from the figure from Megahouse. A bigger boob size than that from this Menace might have turned me off, maybe.

Despite the lazy princess attitude of Menace, she has a very well trained body with strong abdominal muscles, she has no six pack, but the two lines in the middle of her stomach, I don’t know the name of this muscle yet, but they are quite distinctive. Also her legs look very well trained. In comparison her arms and the beautiful round shoulders appear rather petite.

So this figure has a top notch sculpting and also a good production quality, I also like her skintone, the shading effects and the smooth looking texture of the paintjob in general.
The pose of Menace looks really great, I like the arched back and the slightly to the side leaning  upper body with the position and shapes of her boobs. The weight of her body is mainly put on her left buttock and the left hand with the spread fingers. For a sitting figure, the pose of this Menace appears rather complex and shows the skills of the sculptor, I think you’ll either need a good sense of imagination or a real model to know how the pose and body should look.

I didn’t just bought the figure for the pretty body and boobs, the part which really made me spend my money was her beautiful face, framed by her short black hairstyle. I like her soft and detailed facial features like the cute chubby cheeks and the full lips of her mouth. Also the blue eyes are really pretty, they give this Menace figure a happy and attentive expression. The head of this figure is tilted downwards, to enjoy her face Menace has to be placed on a higher place.

 The white scarf pieces are no fun to handle since no instruction manual is included, but it is possible to put the 4(5) pieces of the scarf around Menace under the acoustic emission of creaking pvc. Once fixed in position they won’t fall off so easily, only the transparent blue part which should be placed on her leg always falls off. I’ve put it in a box since I don’t want to lose it.

Final Words

So time to onclude my quite bare boobed review of this Menace figure. Without the review from Ashlotte from Hobbyhovel I would have overlooked this very nice figure, thx again for your review. I was surpirsed that AmiAmi zero could produce such a nice high quality figure.

Im really happy about the purchase of this figure, even though it was a high price I’ve paid, but it was worth it. Menace has a lovely face, also the sculpting and painting of her body looks great and very detailed, maybe too detailed at a certain area ;D. The rather complex pose of her is playful and sexy. There are a few optional parts you can put on the figure, but for me the figure looks best without crown and breastplate, on the other hand I really like to have the white scarf.

I like this figure a lot, but I admit that this figure is quite daring, even for my taste. In case such sexy figures are right up your alley, this would have been a good figure in your collection

Next time I will have a little more tamer figure on review Ques Q’s Taiga from the popular Anime Toradora in her Tiger outfit and I can tell you in advance that she looks very good.

Today I have the Super Soniko Bondage version from Orchid Seed on review, this figure was released on May 15th 2011. She is a 1/7 scaled figure with a height of 160 mm,sculpted by Tanaka Masanori. This figure was popular enough for having all pre-orders sold out before the release, sometimes it’s good to place preorders soon enough ^o^ I preordered her early at AmiAmi and paid around 9790 yen, EMS shipping rate of 3160 yen included, haha a total price crazy as batshit, but I wanted her as soon as possible, so I didn’t give it a second thought.

Super Soniko was created by the Nitroplus Company in 2007, to be the mascot for their yearly Nitro Super Sonico Music Festival held in Japan. Since her creation, she has become quite popular, she gained a lot of popularity over the last few years, I would say the peak of her popularity happened in this year. There were made several figures, mousepads, hug pillow cover, cushion covers, t-shirts, a vmf50 doll and other merchandising products of her.
Also a Game with Sonico is in production, called Communication With Sonico.

I also found a supercute advertisement with Soniko in that outfit, well I don’t understand much but the way she’s acting is really cute and funny, this voice, the body language, just *hnnng*

Her headphones are her personal trademark, the charm points of Soniko are her cute face, the overall cute and natural appearance (not just her big boobs, baka!) and girls who can play the E-guitar are always cool and interesting in my opinion. She has no model sizes and appears slightly chubby, in an attractive way, Soniko has a likeable and nice girl next door look.

As an experienced figurine collector there are still things that are new experiences for me, when looking in my collection there are many figures with small bust sizes and overall they are mainly on the cute or pretty side, so this Soniko was the first figure I own that has quite big boobs and a very sexy aura. Obviously this is a figure for adult and maybe a little bit brave collectors, I guess some of your parents or better said mums (in case you still live at home) would be shocked to see such a hottie, even fully dressed in your room XD my mum just said:

“Oh, she has quite big tits”

yes she said tits XD. On the other hand my male friends like Soniko a lot ^o^

Soniko is a figure which looks more offensive than other sexy figures, even when not casted off. Aside from the cool little jacket her outfit with the tight breast corsage, the opened hotpants and the garterbelt with fishnet stockings can be considered as quite bold. Anyway I would lie when I say that I don’t like it, I think its alluring, otherwise I hadn’t ordered her ;p. I never had such a sexy figure in my collection before, ok my two Endoh Ifrina figures for example are also quite bold and I wasn’t even brave enough to make a review of the Vol.1 A Type Version Ifrina figure, but they are very small and don’t draw the same attention like a well endowed and sexy 1/7 scaled figure like Orchid Seeds Super Soniko Bondage version.

Hair & Face

The hairstyle reminds me of the Tako monster from the Vocaloid Luka, the strands and the light haircolor fit very well to her face. A little part that bothers me are the headphones, the modeling of them is quite good, but they are left as just a grey piece of plastic, it would look a lot better with silver color on it. The face is sculpted in a soft way. Her beautiful and detailed pink eyes are big and are pointing to the left. The head of Soniko is slightly tilted to the right which fits very well to her shy and uneasy face expression, its like she would ask “should I also take that thing off?” I would answer “you don’t have to force yourself I also like you when you are dressed.” *cough* Ok, back to topic *cough* What I somehow miss are the blush marks on her cheeks, like they were shown on the illustration. They would add more cuteness to her face.

Body & Outfit

As said before Soniko’s proportions are more on the chubby side, well she isn’t fat at all, its just that her curves are well rounded and have a soft appearance, especially her belly looks very soft and pretty. The Boobs of this figure are quie huge, but not in an ridiculously unrealistic way and don’t completely defy gravity. Her boobs are sculpted nicely, they are so nice and round and have slightly pointy nipples ^^ Her legs appear a bit short in her pose, but to me it looks still realistic, to give you a better imagination of her proportions, I’ve measured the body and her body measures around 80 mm without head and her legs measure around 130 mm in total.

I think I should also mention her cute and nicely sculpted fingers, you can place the strings of her corsage between them, without the corsage some people said it looks like she wants to pinch her nipples, but you could also say that she just points at her boobs.

The outfit is influenced by rock star, strip club and biker chick fashion elements, you are able to combine the pieces of her outfit in different ways, jacket with chest corsage, without corsage, bare boobed and with hotpants or without hotpants and so on. The two colored jacket with the Soniko Icon is very cool and detailed I also like the hotpants with the “flying” white belt, under the hotpants she wears a black g-string with a cute pink ribbon at the front. The fishnet stockings aren’t painted on her legs, they are wrapped around them, at the backside they are connected with a rather thick seamline, well at least they aren’t very noticeable because of their location.
All the small silver colored eyelets and buckles not to forget the nice wrinkles at her clothes,
which are very pretty details of this interesting and sexy outfit of Soniko.

Soniko’s skincolor is pale and has a tad pinky colortone. The paintjob isn’t 100% clean, for example the paintjob on her garterbelt and the panty lines could a little bit better, therefore the shading effects on her skin look quite nice and accentuate her curves.

Castoff & Accessoires

Soniko is castoffable and the sculptor put a lot of effort to make it as easy and clean as possible. The parts do fit together very well without being loose and can be seperated with just a little amount of force. The gaps which are necessary for the castoff option are very well hidden, you can take off her head, her arms, her jacket, her bust corset and the black hotpants leg pair. To display her without the hotpants, a second pair of legs is hidden inside the very nice looking box.

As accessoires Orchid Seed included a transparent round disk with a frosted texture and a very, very detailed guitar, it’s so cool that at the pins of the guitar are at different positions, the guitar also comes with a own base, you could also place it between Soniko’s arms if you want to.

Final Words

In short this figure is AWESOME I never thought that you could put that much sex appeal into a piece of plastic before seeing it with my own eyes, Orchid Seeds Soniko is a high quality figure and was totally worth the money. The sculpting is very well done, I saw no ugly seamlines on her or rough areas, her body looks just too good and is great eyecandy, also the castoff option is integrated very well, in the figure “thumbs up”.  Soniko was my second figure from Orchid Seed and like Dwarf she also became an all time favorite figure for me, congrats to the people who also ordered this Soniko bondage version, I hope you are or will be as happy with her as me.

Her scale of 1/7 fits her very perfectly
Her beautiful body proportions
She’s sexy as hell without looking cheap.
The different dress up options for her outfit.
Soniko’s very well executed castoff option.

Im curious how Yamato’s Soniko figure which has a bit different aura, will turn out and If she can make the overall positive impression, that I’ve already received with the Soniko from Orchid Seed.

Side Notes

For the first time I used a led bulb (300 lumen 6000 Kelvin)as second lightsource next to my softbox I was very impressed by the light output of it. The usage of the red and white strings attached to the fan was a lot oft fun with the longer exposure time (1/25,1/30) unfortunately the small fan was a bit weak for the weight of the strings, they couldn’t lift up completely I will try this fan/string combination again with lighter strings. No figures where harmed or molested during the shooting or afterwards. In case you haven’t noticed it I this Sonico figure a lot.
