It really has been a while since the last “New Preorders” post, I forgot to update it to be honest. The prices for the precious figures we all love have been on the rise this year.

Lala Satalin Deviluke – Swimsuit version

I was really surprised as ALTER announced this wonderful bombshell, named Lala. She is big and just looks amazingly detailed. Her clothes are quite skimpy and I love it. The figure has pretty hair and her head wears  a cute, subtle expression and just look at these green eyes.

Sorceress – Wonderful Hobby Selection

The wonderful hobby is less wonderful, when the figure cost 18.000 yen, I really tried to pass on this expensive figure, but I just had to get the great adaption of the Sorceress character, she’s just such an attractive witch lady. I love her flirty face and buxom body.

Yazawa Nico – Love Live! School Idol Festival

Is your favorite Idol called Nico? Hell yeah! Nico is the little devil I need! I… just melt when looking at her super bright smile. …the petite body, the fancy christmas related outfit, I approve of everything. ALTER made me so happy with this cheerful and petite figure.

Mammon –Maou Mokushiroku – Juushii Western Mizugi no Setsu

Ahem…! I really the 1/7 scaled 7 Deadly Sins lineup, they are all so sexy and sinful. I actually have a weak spot for demon girls ;D Mammon is the most mature looking 7 sins character, as you can see she’s extremely voluptuos, she is cuddly and curvy ^^ I gave it a lot of thought if I really wanted such large boobs in my collection, yes I want that Mammon (￣▽+￣*)

When I decide to buy such kinds of figures, the face is a major factor for me and Mammon has a lovely face with optional glasses!

Mio Naruse

It might not be a first class figure, but Pulchra has announced a quite charming Mio figure. I love her friendly smile with the expressive eyes and the happy oppai pose. I really would like to order her figure, too.

Nadeko Sengoku Medusa

We already have seen so many Monogatari figures from GSC, but the franchises appeal is still strong, time for Araragi Koyomi I would say ^^.  Nadeko as villain was rather despiseful, but one can’t deny her cuteness, fluttery summer dress, a psycho smile and snake hair… every man’s dream XD The figure looks great, also with her minimalistic diorama base.

Fuyuka Yukishiro

I was sure that ALTER worked on this Sword & Wizards -Haken no Koutei to Shichisei no Himekishi figure, but its a Kotobukiya figure!? Whatever I really like her pose and expression… and the marvelous ass ahaha. The base can be extended, be sure to have enough space to display.

HOT MILK GIRL

I wonder why ecchi figures have to get  more ecchi when decorating them with “slime”. Fortunately it’s only optional here, since I actually like the figure and her base crowded with items. The figure looks really good when dressed, I still consider about preordering.

Sana Chitose

I already was interested in this cute loli figure, when she only was still an unpainted ptototype. She turned out especially cute, only her price prevented a instant preorder. There also is another version with alternative face and armparts, but only available rthrough the Broccoli online shop. Somehow I don’t want to use a proxy buyer service for such a simple figure.

Shiho Kujo

This buxom lady is quite hot, she has three display options with different levels of nudity. The womanly body underneath is sculpted in a truly terrific way. I don’t mind the outfit, but would rather see her smile than looking desperately horny, but some might appreciate this more.

Was there a certain figure you ordered recently or still debate about?

As nice as receiving new figures is, next year I will also try to order less and just focus on my core favorites from the Wonder Festival. Nevertheless here in my “Preorder Roadmap” you can always see my latest figure orders and when they should arrive.

Are you up for some more Wonder Festival 2014 material, in this second part we will take a look at the coverage from some more figure manufacturers which took part in the event.

It’s always a strange phenomenon at Wonder Festival, the less popular companies seldom get the attention from photographers as for example GSC, therefore we people in front of the screen must be happy with less quality pictures. Well, I guess it’s still better than nothing,

Kagura – Gintama – G.E.M. – China version

I already finished 3 seasons of Gintama, it is fun. Kagura is the cutest character in Gintama with her childish voice and bold language she is always fun. Here is a new version from MegaHouse, called “China”. The figure has a pretty dress and comes with traditional umbrella and a funny second face expression. Oh, obviously you can order her starting from today.

Haramura Nodoka – Saki Zenkoku-hen – Sekai Seifuku Sakusen

For some reason this Saki will only be made in 1/10 scale, still she looks very pretty as a whole in her classic sailor uniform. You can also preorder her since a few days.

Himemiya Anthy – Shoujo Kakumei Utena – ChuChu

Megane! Megane! I think this figure prototype looks quite appealing in her vulnarable pose. I’m not that familiar with Shoujo Kakumei Utena, but this girl is supposed to have a darker skincolor, I like that and I’m quite curious how she will look with some color.

Mori Yuki – Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 – Pilot Suit Version 2

I recently finished the OVA series and I liked quite bit, with a great visual presentation and a overworked storyline compared to the old (also great ) anime. MegaHouse made a number of characters of it. I got the nurse  recently and love it. There already was a figure of her, but here is a little more dynamic version of Yuki in a sexy pilot suit and a great facial expression.

Ishikei –  Original Character – C77 Guide Book Illustration

I was pleased to see that Wing got this adorable figure painted for the event, she turned out really nice and close to her illustration. Her face is cute and she is big, I will probably order her.

Saber – Fate/Stay Night – Last Episode

Saber is so popular all the time and she constantly appears in different outfits, this one is especially pretty and shows her in a peaceful manner. I always like to see Saber in alternative outfits that seem to be out of character. I love this friendly and positive appearance. I think it’s great how she stretches her open hand torwards the viewer, you just have to like her, awww.

Konjiki no Yami – To LOVEru Darkness – Childhood version

Yami-chan was still kinda happy and cheerful as a child, this figure shows little Yami in quite cheerful manner with a big smile. She is also a big scale figure.

I guess this is Alphamax first appearance at Wonfes, they gained a solid fanbase within a short time with their steady and increasing quality they can be considered as a promising manufacturer of sexy or hentai figures.

Himekawa Hayuru – Masou Gakuen HxH

This is just illustration status, but I like this project, the tsundere cat girls looks really nice here, I hope they can turn this into a convincing 3D figure.

Tony Taka – Original Character

Tony Taka is on close terms with Alphamax and his artworks are often used in their lineup, here is a cute christmas related cat eared girl with a very short skirt. The design is very cute.

Jack the Ripper – Fate/Apocrypha

I’m happy that Phat could show their painted prototype of this Garage Kit adaption, the small person with the big thighs was one of the figure related things I was looking forward to since some time. She turned out really pretty overall.

Ques Q has a lot of Kancolle stuff planned, like Destroyers like Hibiko or heavy cruiser  Atago, everything based on official ingame artwork, yu can expect a lot of figures from them.

Tenryuu – Kantai Collection

This is a 1:1 adaption of the official in game artworks of Kancolle and the prototype looks already great with all the details, Tenryuu is one of the tougher girls in the game, not really ladylike but she is really cool.

Kitakami Kai – Kantai Collection

I don’t know why they adapted Kitakami after all, but the promising prototype  doesn’t look too bad, actually it’s the opposite. She is a torpedo cruiser therefore she is equipped with lots of torpedo tubes.

Tutankhamun – Eiyuu Senki Gold

I like this one a lot, the design is quite adorable, the petite girl has an ancient Egyptian design and tanned skin, I will keep an close eye on this figure.

Super Sonico – Nitro Super Sonic

Actually, that was the only Sonico figure from this Wonfes that caught my attention, the prototype sculpt looks really good. She is big, curvy and the under bikini top grab is quite erotic. Hopefully the paintjob will bring out her full potential in the end.

Yagyu Jubei – Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride – Maid version

I loved the maid outfits in Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride, they were really pretty, it’s nice to finally see a figure, the dress and body look very nice, but they should work on the face before the release.

Shinonono Houki – Infinite Stratos 2 – Miko version

FREEing put a lot of work ininto their big IS girls line up, I already feared that Houki would be left out, but now she’s will be made, I’m happy because she wears my favorite outfit from this certain episode, the painted prototype looks great.

Hoshii Miki – The Idolmaster (TV Animation)

FREEing showed a lot of prototype figures of popular characters dressed in Yukata’s, Railgun, Idolm@ster and so on. I will look forward  to see them painted.

Penguin Parade seems to have improved since their first figures, I really liked how the faces of their Wonfes lineup figures turned out.

Ryuuzouji Akane – Walkure Romanze

Akane looks just beautiful and sweet with her facial expression, the bikini is mixed with samurai armor, what I like much more than the heavy European armor bikini mix from other Walkure Romanze figures.

Rias Gremory – High School DxD NEW

Most Rias Gremory figures so far turned out with rather unsatisfying results, for whatever reason. I am very impressed by the lovely, expressive face of this one, her little smile is awesome, I don’t mind the slutty dress that much even though she could wear more clothes ^. Oh, I really love her face.

Asuna & Yui – Sword Art Online

This was hard to find I thought, that there has been no progress on this prototype, but look it has been painted, the whole bedroom scene looks quite lovely and Asuna together with her “digital” daughter are a sweet set of characters placed together.

Tony Taka – Original Character

This is one of Taka’s more daring illustrations, that was used to create this quite “exciting” prototype ^^. Dragon Toy is a good company for figures of such kind, it will probably turn out quite nice after the paintjob has been applied.

Benifuji Yuria – Sakigake ⇒ Generation! – QueenTe

Another illustration status announcement, the character design is cute with the big eyes and striped bikni, the slimy liquid is a bit too bold in my opinion, but lets wait for a more advanced prototype.

Ok , that was all of my little Wonder festival 2014 summer coverage, in part 2 I wanted to show that also the smaller figure manufacturing companies were showing interesting content and figures at their booths. Also from this list I have figures I’d probably like to add to my collection.

Today another demon lady is my guest, the long awaited Ignis from Orchid Seed. The figure is scaled 1/7 and has a height of 24,5 cm, she was sculpted by Ishiyama Satoshi who sculpted a number of figures for Orchid Seed. Ignis of the Endless Winter version was released in March.

The origin of this figure is the visual novel Jingai Makyo, which was made by Nitro+ in which she is one of the main characters. Ignis is a skilled demon hunter and actually a kind person.
Unfortunately I haven’t played the game nor do I know much more about Ignis as person.

JAST USA  aquired the license for the Game, maybe there will be something in the future.

Even though the figure was impatiently awaited by many people, I just developed a real interest in the figure very late, around 3 months before release. With her huge appearance, the body and red hair, I thought she would be something nice to have. Let’s see how Ignis turned out.

Hair & Face

The figure has long hair with a number of wildly flowing strands, it looks attractive and dynamic how the hair was sculpted. The hair is more on the soft side, so worries about breaking single strands are not necessary. The tomato red hair creates a nice contrast to the mainly white dress of her. There is some bridal decoration in her hair in form of white roses and a wing hairband.

The figure has a thinner face than that from the illustration which was printed on her box, where Ignis looks like cute, chubby teenager. On the other the box illustration differs from the game design, so the figure is more true to her appearance in the game. Im pretty much satisfied with the face itself, there are prominent eyebrows, attractive, expressive and nicely shaped eyes.

The painted lips give her the appearance of a self confident grown up lady, while the rosy cheeks give her a nice youthful touch, I like this combination quite a lot. With a sharp katana in her hand Ignis still manages to shows a kind and friendly expression on her face, but when turned backwards her expression slightly changes into something evil.

Outfit & Body

Ignis has a beautiful design, partially because of her huge white dress, which is a combination of a straight jacket and a wedding dress. I find wedding dress figures a bit embarrasing by default, it kind of looks like the owner wants to marry the figure, I like my figures, but marrying no way!

Since I have no idea who Ignis is I could went of my way  and bought my first wedding dress figure. It also helped that this no classic wedding dress design.  On the upper half  she is wearing a nice corsage with a number of white straps and silver colored buckles. White isn’t a convincing color, fortunately some dark shading has been used to underline all the wrinkles and details.

Ignis has the body of a grown up lady, tall and with distinctive female curves. Her boobs are covered by frosted colored flower shaped cups. The voluminos skirt also has the frosted color but with a slightly higher opacity, the rounded wrinkles create a nice and realistic look, it’s really beautiful. Under her clothes the pretty stockings and underwear are revealed. I really like the smoothly decreasing opacity of her body tight and the stockings flower pattern.

To be honest I partially ordered the figure because I liked her boobs, they have a nice size and are nicely shaped and I like puffy nipples in general. Ahh why does it feel like “Wieselhead confessions” all of a sudden!? In anime grown up women are often portayed with ridiculous huge boobs and nipples with Ignis it’s also partially the case, but still in a toned down, aestetic way. As to be expected from Orchid Seed the overall bodysculpting looks excellent and detailed. Ignis has a musculous belly, nice thighs, broad hips and a quite good looking butt.

Her fingers also look nicely done and has a lot of anatomical details, the fingernails are painted what actually is a common treatment among figure manufacturers nowadays, but one exceptional detail are that the  fingernails of Ignis are long and spiky. This also underlines her confident lady appeal. In contrast to her beautiful outfit Ignis is wielding a long Katana which is inbedded in a bouquet of white roses, it is possible to display the figure without weapon. With the pose of her left hand she rather appears like an enthusiastic Rock, Paper, Scissors player.

Castoff & Base

Orchid Seed is well known for mainly convincing and working cast off solutions, in case of Ignis they continue this tradition. I had to smile as I noticed that cast off nearly worked like opening a real corsage, aside from pulling off the head part :D. After opening the straps at the front, only sleeves and collar remain. The heavy and solid skirt is held by the pegs under the corsage.

The pieces still fit together very well again after the figure has been casted off, the gaps you see in some pictures, are there because I was occupied with the figure standing straight. With boob covers and corsage, there are several ways to display this figure, even though the look is a bit questionable with some combinations. Fully dressed and nude are the best display options.

Ignis a beautiful figure, but getting her on the base was a rather challenging task, to counter the weight of Ignis, Orchid Seed provided a plastic piece to support one foot of the figure with a metal rod. The plastic is connected with two pegs that slide into the base and the base has two pegs for the feet of the figure. After some cursing it seemed to fit but the connection between base and figure still felt risky, so in the end I used epoxy glue to connect base and plastic piece.

Final Words

It’s been some time since received the last  Orchid Seed figure, the last one was Kurono Kurumu.
An overall pretty figure with some minor shortcomings like no blush and no lipstick, which would have added a lot to more this figure in my opinion. I slightly feared that these “minor” details would have been forgotten again, but now Im happy about Ignis, she has a very pretty face with great eyes and the for me important details like rosy checks and ladylike lipstick.

The outfit of Ignis has a beautiful design, that follows the “martialic bridal”, theme. The white color is beautiful and overall it’s a very detailed and pretty dress, the wrinkles are smooth and nice shading has been applied. The cast off option is very well executed as well as the excellent sculpting of the figures body, her boobs and the other feminine curves are quite appealing.

The only dissapointing aspect of this figure, is the pain of getting her on the base and the resulting fear of Ignis falling off the shelf. The lower skirt is quite heavy, probably heavier than the figure itself and so it can easily happen that the foot slide out of the pegs, Since I glued the additional peg piece on the base I feel more assured about the stability of the figure.

I bought this figure at AmiAmi and paid Yen 9.420 + additional  2.970Yen for Air Mail shipping, thx to Ignis I found that Air Mail is the best shipping option for me in terms of speed and money.

Time for a new figure review, since I paid around 4000 Yen I already received the cute demon girl figure called Leviathan. She was an Hobby Japan exclusive which I ordered some months ago.

The figure was produced by Amakuni on behalf of Hobby Japan. As Hobby Japan exclusive she could be ordered between August and October 2012, the  release date was on the 23th of March 2013. Leviathan is scaled 1/8 and has a height of  22 cm (30,5 cm with pedestal)

The origin of Leviathan is upcoming anime The 7 Deadly Sins “Nanatsu no Taizai”

Leviathan is the first finished figure of this line up, the figures are actually shared between two manufacturers; Amakuni and Orchid Seed, four figiures will be made by Orchid Seed and 3 by Amakuni. The figures were announced earlier than the anime was aired. The seven characters have unique designs by Nitro+ with the background of the seven dead sins from the bible.

Hobby Japan hit one of my sweet spots with this stuff, these lovely figures have certain features that I actually like a lot, I totally love cute demons girls, especially Leviathan with her punk rock appearance triggered my interest. Leviathan’s name stems from the ancient creature, a serpent like sea monster which in general is referred to as the demon of envy.

Leviathan is the sin of Envy, this theme was adapted  in shape of a teenager in his abdolesence age where insecurities about oneself leads to inapropiate and rebelish behavior. The figure of Leviathan adapts this theme very well, she slightly reminds me of the Suicidegirls models which features the fashion style of  emo and punk rock culture. Im curious about her role in the anime.

Hair & Face

The hair is painted in light purple tone, she has long hair which seperates into many single strands at her backside, at the front the strands get finer which creates a nice look. On the left she has a side ponytail with a demonic black hairband in axe design. Unlike other characters of the seven sins, Leviathan only has small horns on her head, they have a nice shape and are an interesting part of the figures design. The figure has pointy ears, even though Leviathan is no elf.

A very good part of Levi chan is her face with the expressive lined red eyes and eyelashes, these eyes really have a lot of details to savour and are still noticeable from a fair distance.
Next to all the happy face expressions of anime figures, Leviathan is wearing an exceptional expression, her raised eyebrow has a nice sense of disagreement with a little, cute tsundere charme. The cheeks have a touch of rosyness and with her pouting expression and the fang hanging out, a very convincing and great looking face was created.

Outfit & Body

The outfit of this figure is full of punk rock elements, she is wearing a grey, grunge look t-shirt with the left side burled up. In the middle there is a Envy logo with a fish head, it’s hard to close the shirt, but more about that in the next block. Under her shirt Leviathan has blue – purple striped sleeves and wears fingerless gloves. The familiar of her is called Behemoth and can be placed under her arm, it  is adorable how she’s carrying a stuffed animal like a child would do.

Stockings are also part of  Levi chans outfit, I love the striped pattern and how it lightly digs into the flesh of her thighs. As footwear the figure has heavy buckle boots with a great sense of detail at the buckles, the jaws at the front with the zippers at each side, are a really cool design idea.

Leviathan is no shy demon girl like you can see on her fashion for the lower parts of her body, the part that looks like a combination of belt and skirt barely covers her buttocks. Instead of wearing underwear she has a band aid which is removeable, there is a spare band aid included.

With 22 cm Leviathan is one of the bigger 1/8 scale figures, which gives her very good and noticeable presence, the bendover pose is dynamic and confident sexy, her little familiar can added when using the sleeve arms, you only have to push it between the left hand and the hips.

Fully dressed the figure looks already very appealing and the few skin revealing areas are a nice tease. Without clothes you can fully admire her nicely sculpted body, Amakuni and sculptor Hiroshi did a great job. The youthful body of Leviathan has really nice proportioned curves and details at the front and the back as well. Levi chan has a very meaty, round butt . You rarely see a booty that big and pretty on a 1/8 scaled figure. The figure also has very nice and perky boobs, the size seems ideal for her proportions.

Cast off & Base

The figure has a worthwhile cast off feature, Leviathan looks really fantastic without clothes. Removing the clothes is a pretty much straightword process, after seperating head and arms from her torso, the shirt can be taken off. You can either display her with the sleeve arms, but there are extra parts with more skin revealing arms. It’s great that the figure offers some more variations in terms display options, dressed, nude or partially nude it’s up to one’s own taste.

This a very cool and well made figure, but there is on thing that doesn’t really convince, it’s the shirt. It is nearly impossible to close it properly and once you managed to close it, it will open up just a few moments later. It seems like the used material turned out too inflexible and stiff. It’s not the convenient quality cast off, from Orchid Seed. Fortunately the skirt is easier to handle.

As base the figure has an interesting designed pedestral in a marmorated blue color, three pegs slide in the feet of the figure. in case you don’t want to use it you are free to seperate the disk from the pedestral, to have a lower base.  The texture of it is completely flat and very shiny.

Final Words

To sum it up the figure is drop dead gorgeous, I already was head over heels on the day I saw her illustration, but the figure convinced even more after I unpacked her. She has a beautiful face with an not everyday expression, I love the little fierce look in her eyes and her mouth.

The figure has a very appealing character design, with an attractive body and curves. I also love her unusual and nice punk rock related outfit. Leviathan has a number of opportunities to be displayed  even under her clothes there is a very good sculpting and also the paintjob doesn’t leave much to be desired, the figure is nearly flawless, only the fact that her shirt is hard to close without further ado, is something that dissapoints with Leviathan from Amakuni.

Overall she was relly worth the waiting time and also the higher price, it’s my best exclusive figure, that I’ve received so far. Im looking forward to see more figures from this lineup.
Belphegor(left) Mammon(center), Belzebub(right) and are  the figures I would also like to have from this lineup, especially, Belphegor convinced me with the latest illustration, which willbe used for the figure.

The Sonico – Gravure Swimsuit version figure was manufactured by Alpha Max and released in the middle of June 2012. The figure is scaled 1/6 and has a height of 260 mm. She is bigger than a 1/7 scaled figure, but definetely smaller than all of the 1/6 scaled figures in my collection.

I tried to cut back on my Sonico figure purchases and my interest in this figure wasn’t that fix to begin with. I really wanted her at first, then I lost my interest in her and in the end I wanted this Sonico again. Figures these days are sold out very fast at the big japanese shops and you shouldn’t be that hesitant if you want to be sure to get your copy. Fortunately there are local dealers where you can decide to buy a figure even weeks after the release in Japan.

This figure is not based on an ecchi illustration that is showing Sonico in a teased and embarrased state, it’s the first happy Sonico figure that has been released so far. The figure is based on the game Sonicomi by Nitro+ where Sonico is an aspiring Gravure Idol at the start of her career.

Sonico has nice looking and detailed hair, with many sculpted strands and a soft look overall.
It features the typical pink color gradient, on top she has elaborately sculpted headphones that she actually never takes off. Her head is tilted and turned, as if she is posing during a shooting.

Alpha Max did a good job in recreating Sonico’s look from the Sonicomi game, especially the energetic and friendly eyes were captured very well. With this face her cuteness overshadows her sex appeal by far, even though she is dressed like that. Sonico has a happy open mouth with a nice upper front teeth line. I have no experience with Alpha Max as manufacturer, but it is nice that they gave blushmarks to the final product, unlike other manufacturers. Im looking at you Native and Orchid Seed! Anyway this Sonico is quite cute and looking at her makes me happy.

Sonico is wearing an open shirt with a shiny, skimpy bikini underneath, her legs are equipped with fishnet stockings and on her feet she is wearing black and shiny high heels. As little accessory she wears a cute necklace with stars and a little guitar around her neck. Stockings with a bikini are no strange combination, people who say this just have a lack of sense for fashion.

The shirt is castoffable, it is made of soft and flexible material, you just have to take off her head and pull the arms out of her body. For the bikini display option two alternative arms are included, the gaps are hidden conveniently under two ribbons. The bikini top also comes off easily, the material is flexible and causes no paint transfer on the figures body.

The bikini is super shiny, nearly like a mirror that reflects its surrounding. The top is skimpy and offers some underboob and sideboob views, she shouldn’t run with this kind of bikini top XD.

The slip part is quite skimpy at the front, apparently Sonico is shaved at her private area, what am I saying? seriously  The figure is sculpted in a standing pose with a nice arched back, she also has nicely sculpted and fairly sized boobs with light pink pointy nipples. With her arms like that the boobs seem to be lifted upwards by Sonico’s shoulder muscles. Her midriff and the wider hips give her a very female appearance. Her legs are slender and very long unlike in most other figure adaptions. With her pose, the cute face and her attractive body Sonico has a strong presence.

You can also dress this Sonico figure with bare boobs and the white shirt as display option. Ehh! whats with this insect punk, get off Sonico!

Final words

Im satisfied with this Sonico figure adaption of Alpha Max even though she isn’t my favorite Sonico figure. Her face is only slightly less detailed than the one from Native or the Bondage versions from Orchid Seed, but with the more sensual and teased face expressions they appear somehow more interesting than the Gravure Swimsuit figure of this review. But after the mainly ecchi figures of Sonico it’s very nice to see a figure of her in an happy and cheerful state.

This a figure that portrays the innocent and happy side of Sonico very well. Alpha Max quality is pleasing, in this figure adaption they offered a clean and appealing sculpted body and a good and clean paintjob.

Is it itchy anywhere…?

Hi people today I will show you the review of the Super Sonico Bath Time version figure.

The figure is scaled 1/6, together with the bath tub she has a height of 25 cm, this Sonico was manufactured by Native and released in June 2012. She was sold as exclusive item, so I had to order with my proxy buyer of choice Tokyohunter, who turned out as very reliable again.

I love bathing and I love Sonico, so there was no way I could pass on this darling.

This one is my first figure from Native, their slogan is “nude and creative” and they don’t lie.

The figure arrived in creatively styled box, included in the package is Sonico ^^, a quarter bath tub, three little bathing friends, a semi transparent and a white rubber towel, a foam part, parts to keep the figure in position. and a postcard with the illustration the figure is based on.

Face & Hair

As I’ve said a few times I prefer Sonico with a happy face expression, here Sonico shows a shy and surprised expression. Even though it is no happy face expression, it is very well done. It is one of the best faces on a Sonico figure so far. Overall it’s on par with the face of Sonico bondage – Candy Pink version with more blush it would be even better. Zenko gave her big expressive eyes and a beautiful open mouth with a detailed depth to it, also a glossy lower lip was added.

Unfortunately she doesn’t show the same amount of blush at her cheeks like on the illustration, as figure she only has faint blush marks, it depends on the light how good you can notice them.

The hair is also very well done with the many single strands of her hair hanging down, the wet look is done in an convincing manner. There is the typical light pink to dark pink gradiant paintjob. Sonico doesn’t take off her headphones, even when she’s cleaning herself, strange isn’t it?

Body & Pose

Native’s Sonico is one of the bigger 1/6 figures out there, not as big as Astraea from Plum, but she is big piece of PVC, in that size the body and the pretty face have a very nice appearance.

Sonico has a bright skintone, under certain light conditions it differs between slightly pink and a bright sand like color, areas with stronger shading were applied over her boobs, her hips, the lower belly and the part where her leg bends. Overall a natural looking skin tone was created.

In this figure adaption Sonico appears less chubby than the Bondage version for example, she’s nearly petite when you look at her slender arms and the nice collarbones, the only more meaty parts are her F-cup boobs and the thighs. I like her proportions and she looks very attractive.

Sonico covers herself with a towel which is made of soft rubber like material, the semi transparent towel resembles a wet look and the white one has a dry look. Of course it wouldn’t be a Native figure without some nudity, the towel comes off after you’ve separated her left arm.

Now her Big Bangs are revealed, they are nicely shaped and have pink pointy nipples.
It’s nice how it seems like she supports her boobs with her left arm. Sonico also has a sculpted vagina which is hidden behind a semi transparent plastic part which resembles bathing foam, it can’t be taken off without force cause it’s glued under her leg. Maybe Nitro+ was against showing their official mascot with a bare beaver. Personally, I don’t mind keeping a little modesty, though.

I have heard many good things about the quality of Native figures and it seems to be true, the sculpting of Sonico’s body is detailed and smooth, seam lines or rough areas can’t be found.

Now to the base; Sonico sits on a white quarter cutted bath tub, which is her base. I’m not sure if she enters the the tub or leaves it, but anyway it was a cool idea to make a Sonico figure like that, it’s a creative combination of posing and base. The tub has one fancy designed golden foot and three black simple feet, inside the bath tub there is a dirt rim paintjob applied.

Sonico is supported via a peg and a metal rod with a clamp that holds her left leg. The right leg rests on the tub. It is a stable solution and the walls of the tub hide these supporting parts.

One detail that dissapoints a little is the quarter cut shape. While setting up the figure and the base, I noticed that it restricts the way to display her quite a bit, cause it leaves many open sides. In my opinion it would have been better to equip Sonico with a small full bath tub instead.

Final Words

This Sonico turned out very well, the bathing themed pose and tub base, also the exceptionally beautiful face and the sexy body are a nice combination which make this figure something special.

As the Sonico fan I am, Im very happy to own such a nice high quality 1/6 scaled figure of her.
Aside from slightly too faint blush marks and only a quarter of a bathing tub, there is not much to complain about, it’s my second favorite figure of Sonico so far.

They have a height of 80 mm which makes them bigger as petite Nendoroids, but smaller than real Nendoroids. Their sculpting and painting quality can be considered as very good, the parts are painted very well and the faces also have lovely rosy cheeks *blush*. There are some minor flaws I will mention later in this review. Everyone of these small piglets have a few little features.

The Guitar version comes in a casual dress with a mini skirt, brown boots and a t-shirt, extra parts are a guitar and a towel. She seems a bit exhausted from her concert but she’s still happy. In direct comparison with the other two versions, she appears a little boring in that outfit.

The Demonbane version is one of my favorites, Sonico cosplays as Al Azif from Demonbane.
This Sonico looks very cute in her frilly white outfit with the red ribbons. Her happy face has a nice upper front teeth line, its also nice how her belly is exposed. Her feature are the rotateable arms.

The Valentine version is my second favorite Sonico from this set, she is inspired by this 1/7 scaled Soniko figure that Orchid Seed produced in 2009 showing the naked apron outfit in a sexy way. Im no big fan of the naked apron attire, but a sexualised chibi Soniko is quite amusing.

You can see some sideboobs and the white thong between her buttocks. This small darling is very photogenic I have to say. Her pose and the shy face expression are a very good combination. As feature she has a cute cake and is showing some curves, one cute detail are her house slippers.

With my copy of the set I had not much luck, as I was unpacking them I already snapped the neck of the Guitar version *damn* I actually wanted to swap the heads of the figures, but after the bad experience I planned not to do more damage to these figures. Another flaw is that the Demonbane version doesn’t stand straight on her base unfortunately she is leaned slightly backwards. In terms of durability the Apron version is the most steady one.

My fellow blogger Sevie apparently received a better copy and had more trust into durability of these 3 figures, in her review she swapped heads and tried more interesting things than I did.

Overall these three figures of Sonico have a nice quality in terms of sculpting and painting, far better than the petite Nendoroids. From my biased impressions they are no figures for heavy duty, not something for playing around, just place them on a good spot and let them be would my advise. Nevertheless the quality is good, but for future figures of the Choco*Ochi line Orchid Seed should improve the connection between figure and base, I don’t trust these flimsy pegs.

Hi, I recently received the Super Sonico Bondage – Candy Pink version, back in the first half of 2011 I already received the normal Super Soniko Bondage version. I guess my affection and love torwards the Nitro+ mascot Soniko started around the time I wrote her review last year.

Its actually a funny coincidence that this review is the most popular post on my humble blog

Buying a figure twice just because of a different color scheme appeared a bit odd to me in the first place, but I liked the previous black version of this figure to such an extent, that I even ordered the alternative Super Sonico Bondage – candy pink version, which was released around 9 month later on January 17th 2012. She is also sculpted by Tanaka Masanori.
This Soniko is scaled 1/7 and castoffable. Without taking shipping and custom fees into account I paid 6,600 JPY, for the previous one it were 6,630 JPY.

This Sonico comes with a blue colored and textured base with silver font, this time the guitar is pink and looks quite nice like that, the stand of the guitar is painted in a shiny white color.

Another reason for ordering the alternative version of her was, that I had the small hope that Orchid Seed wouldn’t forget to add the blushmarks on her face this time. For me it was the only big letdown of the first Super Sonico Bondage version. In the illustration she was sculpted after, she had clearly visible blushmarks which couldn’t be found on the cheeks of the final figure.

This time Orchid Seed didn’t disappoint and delivered a figure with lovely rosy cheeks, they make the figure a lot more appealing. The look of Soniko being shy and flustered is very well recreated in her face. Another difference to the first figure is the hair which has a lighter pink colortone. The beautiful pink eyes, the headphones and the small opened mouth are the same as before.

Since it’s the same figure with just another color scheme I wanted to do something more different in this shooting. With pole dance getting more popular as a kind of fitness workout and inspired by the great Highschool DxD ending study x study, I decided to go for a strip club like setting. Personally I would never put Sonico into a public strip club, just in my private one ^-^

I wouldn’t like the thought of other people staring with leecherous eyes at my innocent Sonico. To put my idea into reality, I had to obtain 3 wooden sticks, a 25cm wooden disk, mirror tape and some purple effect film that I had already stored at home, the small banknotes are self printed.

In this color version Sonico has a quite different appearance and feel to her. Aside from the bold and quite slutty design of her outfit, the different colored clothes of the Candy Pink version give the figure a more innocent look. The pastel blue jacket is very nice. The pink parts of her outfit like the top and the boots are quite bright and have a metallic shine. The white underwear and real fishnet stockings also seem more fitting for her, it somehow creates a pure and romantic atmosphere, the stockings also seem to make her thighs appear thinner and less short.

As in the previous version the figure has different cast off stages, like on the normal version of the figure the cast-off procedure is well-thought-out. The pants come off with the legs and can be substituted with two additional legs, now you can admire Sonico in her pretty underwear .

Unfortunately on my copy the left extra leg has an ugly seam line around the buttock, both legs were covered with film, but it seems like something happened with the leg in the manufacturing process before. Maybe I will ask Orchid Seed if they could send me a flawless left leg. Don’t get me wrong, the overall quality of the figure is very good aside from that minor issue. The round and soft looking boobs are as lovely as they were on the original figure. Her body is sculpted in a very alluring way, the hips, the waist, the belly and the back, everything looks great and sexy.

 Final Words

Since it is my second review of a Super Sonico Bondage figure and overall just another color version, I tried not to repeat myself about the details about the figure in this review, I could have mainly said the same as about the previous one, so I wrote a bit less text this time.

Im really glad that my hopes for some cute blushmarks came true and that Orchid Seed altered this little detail while keeping the good parts of the previous figure, because of the blush I slightly prefer the alternative color scheme over the black version, nevertheless both are very good and sexy Soniko figures. Hehe now I have the opportunity to exchange the heads of both figures.

Hi mina-san today I have a new post about the Sonicomi Game, after I already showed you the insides of the limited edition box, this time I will talk about the Game itself. I already finished one of the 16 Endings, so I can give you a few infos, pictures and whatever about the gameplay and the setting, even though I couldn’t understand everything so far.

Preperations

Sonicomi is a japanese game and these guys from there won’t make it too easy for Gaijin like us. Before installing the game you have to set the locale setting of your OS to japan first.

Under Windows 7 it should work like this

So now one last step in advance, install the SdActi authentification tool and type in the code written on the SdActi manual. Now the Game can be installed and should start without problems.

Menue

The menu has a nice design and allows a smooth navigation, at first there are three main options, after you cleared one ending two new options will be unlocked, Free Mode and Clear List.

In Free Mode you can take pictures of Sonikowithout time limit or blinking Hud signs, you can dress her the way you want and can use every set you’ve unlocked in the Game.

There is side menu which lets you choose between different posing options, they differ from set to set and you can also trigger certain reactions of Soniko. In this mode the pictures you take are stored on your pc in 560×420 pixels. Clear List is just an overview about the endings you’ve cleared, there are 16 possible endings you also get an overview about the cleared client requests.

Setting

The player takes the role of Cameraman-san, like Producer-san in Idolmaster ^^. The player first gets in contact with Soniko on a concert during a failed stage dive of her.We talk a bit with her and say goodbye. The next day we see Soniko again as our model for the shooting. After that her manager is impressed by our job and Cameraman-san end up as Soniko’s official photograph.

The character of Soniko which most of you might know as Nitro+ mascot or just as illustration is very well fleshed out in the Game; she is cute, kind, a bit shy, sometimes insecure, but she’s also a very happy person. Soniko isn’t portrayed as a dumb sex bomb, she seems to have a real personality. Her voice is given to her by Ayano Yamamoto, a quite unique and cute voice

There are also other characters like Soniko’s devilish manager, her hot idol rival, Angie Gravite, the clients and so on. There’s also a guest appearance of Danny Choo’s Mirai.

Unlike in most visual novels, the Soniko character is rendered in 3D, while other characters remain 2D. Thx to 3D Soniko can show emotions in a more detailed way, she has lots of different face expression, expressive gestics and a certain body language. The backgrounds are 2 and 3D.

The Game centers around gaining Soniko’s trust and maybe her love as well as supporting her in becoming a fully fledged gravure idol. On several ocassions you can talk with Soniko by choosing one sentences on the screen, you have to click one of the sentences within the time limit.
There are also rare occassion where you can touch Soniko, you can click the spot where you want to touch, I don’t think she would like it, if you suddenly touch her boobs, not that I’ve tried it ^^.

The routes in Sonicomi are decided by the answers, actions and decisions you choose,the style of the outfits you give to Soniko are very important as well as the succes in the photomissions.

Photomissions

The action part of Sonicomi are the photomissions, where you do shootings with Soniko for several clients, the missions are divided into selecting the location, choosing a matching outfit for the clients request and doing the shooting. There are many different clothes and accessoires you can choose from in many colors and designs and more stuff can be unlocked during the game.

Soniko shows different reactions to your choice of outfits and helps you with choosing the right outfit, when she jumps in the air and raises her hands you did a good choice and can go straight to the shooting. The controls are similar to an egoshooter, you can move with the WASD keys and aim with the mouse, with the space key you can crouch and with X and C you can rotate the camera and a few more keys, in the mission you’ll probably be too busy too use all these keys.
The ENTER key is helpful when too many targets appear at the same time. It will clear all the targets at once, however you can use this key as long as camera symbols (D) remain in the bar.

You have to hit all the circles within the time limit, for getting better scores you should wait until the circles turn pink. When the stamina rows (A) turn pink you have to hit the right mouse button, a menue appears, where you can scroll with the mousewheel, motivating Soniko can be done by selecting the speech bubble, everytime you do this the motivation meter (B) goes up.

When it is full Soniko goes into action mode and strikes more dynamic poses which give you more chances to improve your score. You can even give her a short break to recharge her energy meter (C), which is neccesary during most shootings, without energy the shooting will be over. With another option you can let Soniko change her pose, from standing to sitting and lying down.

When the shooting is over you can see how you performed and how accurate your chosen oufit was, you can score SS, S, A, B, C, and D. D is pretty bad and will always give you a Bad Ending, it can be quite frustrating when you fail like this and it makes Soniko sad

Graphics & Sound

The visual appearance in this Game is a mix of 2D and 3D, during normal story Soniko is always 3D, the other characters are just 2D. In the photomissions everything is 3D. Soniko has some kind of cell shading and her motions are very refined, so she proably was rendered via motion capturing. The physix engine is responsible for the flow of her hair and the breast movement.

Sonicomi also makes use of effects like HDR, depth of field, soft focus and 8x anti aliasing. The effects are adjustable in different steps, surprisingly my machine can handle it at high quality.
The Game has a nice look, but there are a few flaws, the objects in the photomissions would look better with more detailed textures and also a few more polygons would have been nice, since some things appear quite chunky in the sets of the photomissions. Sometimes there are also a few clipping errors where Soniko’s body and her clothes intersect in a strange way.

The Soundtrack is cool, especially the theme song and the BGM, as I already said Soniko has a cute voice, but it’s a shame that the other characters have no voice.

Summary

Sonicomi is a nice Game and Nitro+ did a good job in giving their mascot a cute and likeable personality, in fact she is totally enchanting ^^. The story(at least what I understand from it) is nice and with 16 possible endings this Game offers a lot of playtime, even though I always ended with the same end so far, it’s quite tricky. The action part called photomission is fun and a curse at the same time, dressing Soniko in different fashion styles is fun even if you are restricted by the wishes of the clients and by Soniko’s reactions, quite a picky little girl ^^.

New clothes can be unlocked during the Game, there are a lot of different clothes and accesoires. The curse side is that the controls are not very precise during the photoshoot, maybe my mouse or I are at fault but sometimes it’s frustrating if you merely missed a target circle and the combo is corrupted, in my opinion the mouse aiming is a bit laggy. Another point of critic are the few save points in the Game, you can’t save before important decisions and you can’t save a certain outfit you’ve put on Soniko, the Game just allows you to save before a photomission and shortly after a photomission in most other visual novels you can save wherever you want.

I guess I couldn’t understand everything about the Game, because I can’t read a single japanese sign and AGTH won’t work so far, but that should be my impressions about Sonicomi from what I’ve understand, thx to years of watching anime I can at least understand some words Soniko says. Anyway the Game can be a lot of fun because of the interaction with the cute 3d Soniko.

Magazine photography isn’t really my kind of sport, but theres always a first time for everything.

The high gloss magazine contains informations about Soniko, the Sonicomi game, about all the merchandise and whatnot, on 47 colored pages everything is written in japanese. I would have liked to read the interview with Soniko’s voice actress Ayano Yamamoto, but since Im totally unable to read kanji, Im doomed just to look at colored pages ;p

Oh there are also a few polished artworks from inside the Game engine.

Included in this magazine is a DVD-Rom with the Sonicomi Game Trial version, its nearly the same thing I’ve talked in my Sonicomi trial version impressions post, but Soniko has a different outfit in this trial version. Also a nice folded poster in B2 format was included.

This poster was my personal highlight in this magazine. I liked it so much that I’ve bought a non reflective glass frame to hang it on the wall. I love the illustration from Tsuji Santa with the attractive and cute looking Soniko, the contrast between her pink hair, the slightly tanned skin and the green couch looks damn nice. From close view the bend marks or folds are not so nice, but it can’t be helped. Maybe the folds will vanish a bit after it stayed in the frame some time.

The next Soniko related post will probably be about the limited edition of the Sonicomi Game which will be released on September 30th apparently it was delayed to November 25th.
Im curious which goodies will be inside. Maybe I’ll buy this upcoming artbook here as well XD
