Lacia is scaled 1/8 and measures 200 mm on her own when subtracting the base. This figure was cursed with a number of delays, in the end I have been overjoyed to finally receive her this April 2021.

There were two versions available, the Lacia 2018 Black Monolith Deployed version was sold for 18.333 Yen, the simple Lacia 2018 figure 10.926 Yen. Since I was a big fan of Beatless and Lacia I’ve bought the elaborate figure. The elaborate version because it looks damn great when the figure is combined with Black Monolith Deployed base.

Lacia is from the anime adaption from Beatless. 2018 I watched the anime. It paired Boy meets Girl with an ambitious sci-fi story about the future of artificial intelligence and super computers.

A great watch, I already watched it 3 times, I was cheering for the kind, naive boy to get a happy end with the cyborg girlfriend Lacia. Lacia was voiced by Nao Touyama, every character she lends her voice to sounds like an angel, also in this anime it was no exception.

The author of Beatless is Hase Satoshi, albeit the more popular illustrator redjuice was in charge of the character design for it.The show had a few production problems, to fill the gaps there were at least three recap episodes and the end was made after a few months of waiting. The worth of an anime should not be measured by such things, when watched as a whole Beatless was a nice anime.

When I have to assemble more than 3 parts on a figure I already start to become nervous, to assemble Lacia and the Black Monolith base, I had to put at least 16 together parts, before I could display the beautiful figure as a whole.

It’s a bit worrisome that the black pieces are springy and not as stiff as I would like them to be, but that are the limits of ABS material when being turned into thin plastic shapes. GSC gave a light appearance more priority than rock solid base stability, which is all right.

Good Smile Company was kind enough to provide a simple round base alternative in case the customer feels uneasy with the bigger and complex base. The base is a huge pillar in the middle surrounded by 6 smaller “wings”.

The part in the middle is especially well made, it features a complex design it’s painted in black and silver with some shading effects here and there and a few clear parts are also part of the design.

I will go more into detail about the figure itself now. In this figure adaptation Lacia has a nicely chiseled face with pretty lips. Her expression is stoic and serious, a smile would probably the wrong choice when she carrying around the huge weapon to kick some ass.

Unfortunately, this Lacia figure is a little less kawaii, still a bit of cuteness has been added to the figures face. Compared to her body the head is relatively big, the eyes are very nice and show a strong expression, you might have noticed that the color scheme is a bit unsaturated, but it’s just following the character design.

Her lavender purple hair is painted with a beautiful gradient to blue effect. It’s so nicely sculpted that it is hard to believe that she is actually scaled 1/8. Her futuristic battle suit features a combination of shiny black and white colors and it is also a bit skin revealing, it’s a tight suit and compliments the figures bodyline very well. The figure simply looks very well done and appealing.

I really like the fingerless gloves and shiny black thigh highs. Oh and she also wears great looking shoes.
What I always liked about 1/8 scaled figures were the separately sculpted fingers, they are so adorable.

In terms of quality there is not a single thing to complain about, it’s a great example of figure manufacturing. Surely they could have made this figure at 1/7 scale, but the already big base had probably consumed more space. 1/8 scale is fine for her, they put a lot of effort into her sculpt.
Fortunately I really like how this figure of Lacia turned out, she looks wonderful.

I probably haven’t logged into my Kancolle account since 3 years, but I have fond memories of the time where I played actively and took care of the adorable ships girls. Too bad that I was forced to use an VPN every time I wanted to play.

Today I will show you one of my older grails that I always wanted since it’s release. I recently purchased this Kouwan Seiki, She is also known as Harbour Princess from the Kancolle game. This figure was manufactured by Max Factory and released in 2017. She’s been sculpted by Akimof and is scaled 1/8 with measures 155 mm in height.
On release her price was around 18.000 yen, which still was a lot at that time.

The figure is also part of the Wonderful Hobby Selection line of Max Factory. In 2016 I received the Sorceress from the WHS line which was a bad joke partially. The figure of course looked great, but arrived with a broken peg that prevented me from setting up the figure, Max Factory was kind enough to send a spare part, but that also arrived broken … .

That experience actually prevented me from preordering. You can probably imagine how I felt when I opened that figures package earlier this year, but fortunately everything was fine and without flaw.

Kantai Collection is not at its prime days anymore, nevertheless the character design hasn’t lost it’s appeal. Kantai Collection has been a super popular gatcha game that convinced figure manufacturers that gatcha game characters attract more customers than purely anime based characters.

If anyone of you wonders about the sparkles in the pictures background, it is a polycarbonate board with sculpted water droplets on the surface, with the right amount of DOF (depth of field) and light it creates a lovely bokeh.
To match the figures partially eerie atmosphere I decided for purple as main color. As flooring I used a small white carpet and spread some bigger and smaller rocks above, to create some ocean bottom. I thought that the fishing net would be a matching addition to the set.

Coming up with a stage has always been kind of a challenge, compared to earlier years figure photography became more challenging and ambitious. I think I became a little bad recipient, it’s really frustrating. Some fellow figure photographers invest an immense amount of work to create diorama like settings, it’s amazing! I always see myself debating about how much work I want to invest in a figures set and if it is worth the effort.

Figures of antagonists are generally a rare event, except they are especially remarkable. Kancolle has cool designs, also for the Abyssals that were turned into figures, like Kuubo Wo-kyuu or Senkan Re-kyuu, Kouwan Seiki convinced me the most.

Since then the gatcha game character based figures keep growing in numbers. As anime enthusiast this trend is regrettable for me, since less figures based on anime are made, but it can’t be helped these days.

Harbour Princess is a pretty figure with her ghost like white skin, the huge claws and pointy horn on the forehead, she is obviously a monster, but a cute one. The character design of Harbour Princess has been illustrated by Akira (アキラ)

Her shy and vulnerable expression are anything less than adorable. I really like the heavy eylashes design, they are even sculpted and not just lines from a brush, I’m also a big fan of the dramatic makeup anyway. The long hair is nicely done, it has smooth looking long strands and a cutely cut bangs. Her red eyes are very pretty and mesmerizing.

Haurbour Princess is dressed in something called “virgin killer sweater” which was a popular meme some years ago. The outfit has some dark grey weathering, living in the vast ocean surely has a few disadvantages for the Abyssal’s. Furthermore the sweaters vertical creases accentuate the characters dynamite body with the ample bosom, thin waist and quite wide hips. The sweater is also equipped with decorative black armor pieces, the style and pattern looks very interesting and pretty. As shoes she has some kind of kneesock boots with black sole.

Part of her outfit are also the separate sleeves, they have the same vertical creases as the sweater and those pretty black armoir bits, because of her big hands the sleeves have a huge opening, the mechanical claws have a nice roughed up look and intimidating design. Kouwan Seiki is portrayed as mature character with a well endowed and attractive body. Obviously, she also has nicely sculpted big boobs, the outfit also reveals a bit of sideboob which is a little bit risky, but nothing when compared to the shameless hotties from Azure Lane. The figure has really nice thighs.

The figure has been put in a kneeling pose, encircled by a muddy looking base, that intentionally shows traces of wear and destruction painted in shades of black and rusty brown. She is holding onto the remaining pieces of her once proud airfield. I like the tiny particles that have been applied on the runway, they give the illusion of glowing sparks.

Next to the main figure, sits the runway monster with its huge jaw, compared to Kouwan Seiki that is a really nasty monster with teeth and grey tongue.

Final Words

I like the figure a lot, she looks great and has an unique design, a bishoujo monster girl is something I didn’t have in my collection so far. It’s a great design with the dramatic makeup and the overall visual presentation is very well done. Is this figure worth the Wonderful Hobby Selection tag? I have a specific opinion about it.

Max Factory figures are already well done in general. WHS should bring something more. I think that the WHS manufacturing quality is not outstanding enough to justify it. A label like WHS should indicate the highest level of craftsmanship, and I don’t see this big difference on Kouwan Seiki and I definitely didn’t saw it at the Sorceress figure. They both had problems that take away from the overall quality. Nevertheless I’m really happy to have the Kouwan Seiki WHS in my collection now.

When I looked at the latest figure listings at the shops recently I noticed one thing, they became so damn expensive! 13,000 Yen figures became the affordable category and the top category is close to 22,000 Yen. If this trend continues I don’t know what to do, completely turning my back to the figure hobby is not an option for me. Maybe a good time to take a closer look at my figure wishlist. There I noticed a few figures like Mefmera , Kouwan Seiki or Tomoe.

I also noticed VaistarStudio on Twitter some time ago, a super talented figure photographer, who also makes excellent stages for the figures, here I saw these figures and thought that Eila & Sanya looked quite great as pair.

The figure pair was manufactured by Alter. From base to shower head the whole combination measures 23 cm and the scale is 1/8. An less often used scale after 2017, since 1/7 is already the standard. What is odd about the figures is the release date, Strike Witches aired around summer 2010, but this figure combination is from spring 2016.

The figure couple is quite cute, I like the chilled pose of the girls under the shower installation.
First of all I like that figures are made as a pair, at the backside you see how their tails are entwined with eachother. The two girls holding their long drinks with ice cream and tiny straws. Alltogether a summerly atmosphere is created.

Eila has a beautiful face and a great smile, Sanya seems a bit nervous here, but also has a gentle smile on her face.

The bikini design is very skimpy with the low cut panties, Sanya wears a black bikini with soviet star and Eila’s is wearing a blue white bikini with striped top. Even with the skimpy bikini’s both figures aren’t what is considered sexy, the anatomy is like the whole franchise on the skinny side, although they have long legs and a nice looking midsection with cute bellybuttons.

I have watched Strike Witches season 1, season 2 and Victory Arrow, but I skipped Brave Witches, since I didn’t want to get used to new characters. Fortunately, a continuation of the old storyline is scheduled to be aired this year, named Strike Witches: Road to Berlin.

Eila and Sanya share a deep friendship watching them interact in the anime was always heartwarming and sweet. Eila is my favorite of these two, Sanya has a low profile, but that is also cute. Eila has the ears of a wolf and Sanya those of a black cat.

Final Words

Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen & Sanya V Litvyak – summer version is an interesting and charming figure combination.

I’m a big fan of such figure combinations and this one is done especially nice, both are cute figures with nice pose and articulation. In 1/8 scale everything is quite small, not to say tiny, but the general quality of the figures and the accessories is very high and is solid, although one should pay attention to not lose one those tiny straws. Obviously they aren’t very curvy figures what I would prefer nowadays, nevertheless they are very cute and have a nice holiday feeling.

Today I will show you the figure of Kaname Madoka – Mahou Shoujo Madoka ☆ Magica Gaiden made by Stronger and distributed by Aniplex, you could have bought this figure bundled with Tamaki Iroha, but I just wanted Madoka.

Ah Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, the surprise hit and little disturbing anime about magical girl Madoka and her friends with mental issues from 2011. The latest figure I received was Miki Sayaka from GSC in 2012.

Obviously, her face is damn cute. Without the hatching the eye design from the game is different than from the anime. The difference is not really obvious, anyway the big sparkly eyes make the figure appear quite adorable and lively.

This figure is based on the side story Mahou Shoujo Madoka ☆ Magica Gaiden, a smartphone RPG, an anime adaptation of that will follow in January, 2020.

I admit that the Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Movie 3: Hangyaku no Monogatari left me in despair and confusion. But when I saw this cute adaptation of the Kaname Madoka character I didn’t have to think twice, about ordering.

Kaname Madoka was released in August 2019, she has been sculpted by Miyajima Katsuyoshi. She is scaled 1/8 and measures adorable 20 cm. Somehow I expected to be a little bigger, but that is ok.

I think that figure is beautiful and sweet no matter from where you look, inside the box you will find the figure, a base, a bow and an exchangeable left hand for displaying the figure without bow.

There we have Madoka with her usual hairstyle, the pigtails decorated with big dark pink colored ribbons, the different shade of pink at the tips creates more depth and makes the magical girl look quite fashionable.

Her outfit is as girly as a magical girl outfit can be , without sounding sarcastic it feels like a mix of wedding cake with lots of frills and pink. She wears a red collar around her neck. I really like the corsage with short puffy sleeves, the yellow and pink colors are quite charming as well as the frilly seam lines and the tiny pink buttons.

Bare skin is shown at her arms, the upper chest and at her back. At the backside is a heart shaped cutout. Gosh everything is just so cute. The small figure actually has beautiful knees highlighted by the frilly socks. the shoes are very red and very glossy. The contrast to the matte colors is quite nice.

The most obvious part of her outfit is the voluminous skirt, the pink top layer looks very appealing with the red rim and the tiny pattern at the tips. She wears white gloves, their design again seems to be based on flower petals.

As already mentioned she has a hand for holding her bow and a different hand for the option to display her without it. With the leafs and rose on top, the bow looks quite a lot like a natural stick, except for the gems attached to it, a nice looking detail is the string at the bow. Madoka’s right hands index finger indicates that she could stretch the bow string, but I don’t want to break something.

Final Words

Kaname Madoka – Mahou Shoujo Madoka ☆ Magica Gaiden from Stronger is a wonderful figure where the cuteness doesn’t stop. Her cute face is extremely adorable and the outfit is stunning with all details and overall design. the arched back is a bit extreme, but aside from that the figure is flawless in regards of colors and sculpting quality, looking at this enchanting figure makes me happy.

The decision why I took another shooting with my nearly 5 year old Stocking took shape after I’ve randomly looked through my old pictures and noticed that her old pictures were not good enough for one of my favorite figures.

As relatively active figure reviewer I want to get my posts out on time, so the first idea for a figure shooting that comes to mind will most probably be only one to be made. Sometimes the results can be mediocre from quality or aesthetic aspects. There are also other reason that trigger the decision for another photoshoot with a beloved figure.

Anarchy Stocking was sculpted by Yagyuu Toshiyuki who was in charge for many nice figures as well.

Stocking always was my favorite, the fallen angel with the goth lolita look, although her appearance is not lolita like at all, compared to her sister, Stocking appears more pure or at least less sinful.

The most appealing thing about this figure is probably her really fancy outfit, playful and beautiful in design with cute hearts and ribbons here and there. It has a quite nice color sheme of white, pastel blue and light brass. The underskirt adds a lot of detail and volume to her dress. At her arms she wears these open sleeves and pretty arm rings at her wrists, I also like the detailed and nicely made striped stockings that slightly go over her ankles and end at her metallic high heel sandals. The fashionable figure really comes to live with her dynamically sculpted, grafecul and proud pose.

What ALTER did the best though is Stockings face with her pretty green eyes and the wide mouth, I really like her gentle smile. The voluminous hair is quite impressive, the bold blue color really pops out and the inner pink is a cool thing, too.

The figure was made in 2012, ALTER always been considered as state of the art figure manufacturer, also back then. Unfortunately they went a little sloppy on Stocking, most prominently at her hair, the surface is uneven at some areas, also the hair color transition is not applied as one would desire. around the middle her dress also shows a few smaller imperfections like spots for example that you will notice mainly on careful inspection. Overall it’s not as bothersome as it sounds, the figure has a great presence and elaborate appearance and really one of my most favorite figures.

Her is my modest setup, at first I’ve put sequined cloth on the floor and added pink stones to cover the white base.
In the backround, I’ve filled marshmellows in glasses and used Ikea Dioda as decorative lights. For the figure focused lighting I’ve used a flash at the back and a softbox from the right, the reflective board caught a bit of light from the lighsources and subtly reflected it into the desired direction, more or less.

I hope you’ve liked the new pictures of Stocking. if you had a figure shooting in the past with a figure you really like, but something didn’t turn out as desired, why not trying it again? Mammon –Maou Mokushiroku – Juushii Western Mizugi no Setsu

Ahem…! I really the 1/7 scaled 7 Deadly Sins lineup, they are all so sexy and sinful. I actually have a weak spot for demon girls ;D Mammon is the most mature looking 7 sins character, as you can see she’s extremely voluptuos, she is cuddly and curvy ^^ I gave it a lot of thought if I really wanted such large boobs in my collection, yes I want that Mammon (￣▽+￣*)

When I decide to buy such kinds of figures, the face is a major factor for me and Mammon has a lovely face with optional glasses!

Mio Naruse

It might not be a first class figure, but Pulchra has announced a quite charming Mio figure. I love her friendly smile with the expressive eyes and the happy oppai pose. I really would like to order her figure, too.

Nadeko Sengoku Medusa

We already have seen so many Monogatari figures from GSC, but the franchises appeal is still strong, time for Araragi Koyomi I would say ^^.  Nadeko as villain was rather despiseful, but one can’t deny her cuteness, fluttery summer dress, a psycho smile and snake hair… every man’s dream XD The figure looks great, also with her minimalistic diorama base.

I was sure that ALTER worked on this Sword & Wizards -Haken no Koutei to Shichisei no Himekishi figure, but its a Kotobukiya figure!? Whatever I really like her pose and expression… and the marvelous ass ahaha. The base can be extended, be sure to have enough space to display.

I wonder why ecchi figures have to get  more ecchi when decorating them with “slime”. Fortunately it’s only optional here, since I actually like the figure and her base crowded with items. The figure looks really good when dressed, I still consider about preordering.

Sana Chitose

I already was interested in this cute loli figure, when she only was still an unpainted ptototype. She turned out especially cute, only her price prevented a instant preorder. There also is another version with alternative face and armparts, but only available rthrough the Broccoli online shop. Somehow I don’t want to use a proxy buyer service for such a simple figure.

Shiho Kujo

This buxom lady is quite hot, she has three display options with different levels of nudity. The womanly body underneath is sculpted in a truly terrific way. I don’t mind the outfit, but would rather see her smile than looking desperately horny, but some might appreciate this more.

Was there a certain figure you ordered recently or still debate about?

As nice as receiving new figures is, next year I will also try to order less and just focus on my core favorites from the Wonder Festival. Nevertheless here in my “Preorder Roadmap” you can always see my latest figure orders and when they should arrive.

Today we’ll take a look at Igawa Asagi, the popular PC Game heroine, well her origin is a popular Hentai Game, most of the time Asagi is actually not really heroic. There is also an anime adaption, with an avantgardistic (crazy) visual presentation. Most Hentai don’t bother to add a more elaborate background story, Taimanin Asagi does to a certain degree. Aside from her job as Anti Demon Ninja, Asagi leads a normal life with a mindful boyfriend and a lively little sister, until her presumed dead arch enemy returns to seek revenge. After she gets a captive she is forced to do certain things, I rather don’t want to discuss in detail.

Do you actually have any interest in watching hentai from time to time?

I sometimes do, I actually prefer the friendlier settings with nice animation quality and some comedy moments, although the darker titles can be more interesting, when they have a true storyline and not only a lame excuse of an intro for abusing cute anime women, but that’s quite rare. In order to be able to write a bit more about Igawa Asagi, I watched the three Taimanin Asagi OVA’s, not entirely something I enjoyed… at least it had a decent ending.

Putting the background aside, Asagi is a really popular character created by studio Lilith. There have been two figures of her, one 1/6 scaled from 2009 in a white and normal version and a 1/8 scaled one from 2014, which was released recently. She will be reviewed today.

Asagi Igawa was released at the end of October and manufactured by Milestone. Milestone is a wholesaler of figures and other anime goods, most of their own figures are collaborations.The figure is scaled 1/8 and has a height of around 17 cm, she was delivered in a space saving pretty box, inside is the shapely figure of Lady Asagi, a rock debris base and a fancy sword.

I was joyously expecting the release of this figure, although I have preordered her rather late.

There were several things I liked about her, like the purple suit or the facial expression, I love slanted eyes combined with an adventurous, confident smile. The promo pictures were actually excellent, compared to what we usually see from other companies, like Alphamax, their figures are really nice, but the promotional pictures somehow never show it that well.

Asagi is a shapely woman with a sturdy build, one part about her is quite prominent, her large breasts, I guess she is the most stacked girl in my collection so far. Her proportions appear not really suited for combat, but Asagi is a very skilled ninja, the character design is distinctive with accentuated curves where it matters in the ecchi industry and a sexy facial expression.

What I like about this or the other Igawa Asagi figure is, that they portray her as action heroine, even though she’s a character based on a rather hard hentai series, they show her with some dignity and pride. This figure of Asagi looks very cool with her dynamic appearance.

I really like Asagi’s combat suit, it’s shiny and with metallic flakes mixed into the silver and purple color, I could probably have polished her a bit before taking pictures. The skin tight dress follows her body nicely and accentuates her rich curves. The suits design has a dynamic feel, the purple is decorated with silver parts and also fishnet elements.

Her hair is painted quite dark with a green bluish shading, the flow is nice and shows convincing strands, the two finer strands of hair complete the detailed appearance. The low hanging fringe makes her more attractive since it gives her a mysterious, sexy expression.

I ‘m very happy about the figures face, it shows a sense of strong willed, confident, maybe there is also a little arrogance mixed into the figures expression. She is someone you would call a tough women, but Asagi can also look very cute. The facial details look very good, also when considering that her head is on the smaller end of the 1/8 scale. Her face is very expressive and pretty, it shows green, slanted eyes, her lips also has some light lip gloss.

The figure has a nice looking sword with a straight blade, when putting it in her hand you can make it face backwards or forward.

The sculptor captured Igawa Asagi character nicely, but took some liberty with the shape of her boobs and maybe the size, in the anime adaption they appeared somewhat smaller.

No, I should rather say less big. A tear drop like shape would have been preferable, but I knew it before I preordered this figure so I should not complain. Actually it looks not too bad when you are into women with bigger boobs. On the other hand her proportions are actually balanced, Asagi has very wide hips, a voluptuous butt and strong thighs, so she won’t fall over.

Final Words

I like this figure, she is purple, fierce and sexy ^^ I love the detailed suit, that shines like crazy and adds a nice contrast to her bare skin. The figure also has a stylish, elaborate looking base.

As 1/8 scaled figure Igawa Asagi looks very appealing and convincing, the dynamic, also expressive pose make her look great on my desk and the face is actually very well done.Still I would have definitely liked her at a bigger scale, too.

On a technical level Milestone left a positive impression with solid craftsmanship and good choice of materials, there are a few things that could be improved, like a few very  minor over painting issues. The sculptor did a good job in reproducing the characters distinctive attributes, the curves are nice and everything is very detailed, like her finely sculpted fingers.

It’s about time to get this review done, I received this figure some weeks after release, but now is the time for Harada Makoto the lively nurse of the great Space Battleship Yamato.

The figure was manufactured by Alpha x Omega, most of the other Yamato Girls Collection figures were made by MegaHouse. Makoto is scaled 1/8 (22cm) and was released by the end of March, I got her in May for a good bargain. She was sculpted by the talented Tanaka Sen’u who made many great ALTER figure.

Months before the new adaption Yamato 2199 aired it’s first episode, I coincidentally started to watch the old Space Battleship Yamato from around 1970. While it is old, it was a great experience for me, the first few episodes started really bumpy as if nobody believed this show could be a hit, but Soon it started to work as the epic space opera it was supposed to be.

Anime has come a long way and of course Yamato 2199 is a fresher version, starting from the really impressive animations, deeper characterizations and a more advanced storytelling. I also watched the live action movie from 2010 recently, but this was rather dissapointing experience and the nurse there wasn’t hot at all. What a sad adaption

Harada Makoto got more screentime in the OVA series without trying to spoil anything I have to say that she gets a really sweet scene. MegaHouse made a lot of figures for Yamato 2199, also the bearded Captain, but like always the women are in the majority, with their nice suits.

The figure has a short bob cut hairstyle, it’s a lovely style for her character, it also is a not so commonly used hairstyle on figures so it’s nice to have it on Harada Makoto. The hair has a red tint of brown color with dark shading at the outer regions. The sculpt has many singled out strands which look nice and detailed. On top she has a gigantic ahoge, it’s rather flexible so the risk of breaking it is low.

I really like the appearance of Harada Makoto and how her figure turned out, her facial sculpting is beautiful and not flat all.  The eyes look especially pretty, a lot of detail is shown and the sparkling effects bring out her lively spirit. I like her a lot with slightly opened mouth when she looks a little surprised, you can also change her expression to a more happy one, unfortunately you can’t swap the faces separately, they make a fix unit with the torso.

The figure has a white base with medic logo, it is connect to the figure via one foot so that it supports Makoto’s dynamic pose. You can put a transparent arm into the base to let the figure interact with the moveable sake bottle. Harada Makoto comes with an exchangeable torso that has her arms in a different position and shows a different facial expression.

Harada Makoto was my favorite from the figure lineup in terms of appearance, her face is cute and there might have been two more obvious reasons. While Mori Yuki stands for beauty and elegance, Makoto is the cute and cheerful somewhat buxom type of character.

In the OVA series all of the adult women had a slender, but shapely build and so does the figures, considering the 1/8 scale, the details and curves are very well done. Makoto has nice thighs and a cute backside. Makoto is a slender person with a large bust, even though she’s in space, her fairly sized boobs don’t defy gravity and show a rather natural shape and position.

Should I start to worry that all my recent figures have an above average bust size? Has anime twisted my perception with all the busty heroines everywhere? You wouldn’t guess what I ordered a few days ago, Oh XD. Well, in real life a large bust is not so important to me.

Why am I telling this kind of information here, please nevermind…

Every position among the crew has a different color, the nurse uniform is pink, it’s a really cool color. The uniform has a pretty, detailed and futuristic design, I like how it appears to be put together from several pieces with these deeper engraved lines. it’s a little different from the uniforms of the other female crew members, instead of a full body suit, Makoto’s dress is separated so that she can shows skin, she’s also wearing thigh highs and high heel boots.

The glassy effect looks really good, the thick black stripes are matte and create a nice contrast against the pink areas and also accentuates her thighs and also partially her buttocks. Around her waist she has a belt with very detailed bags full of medical stuff attached to the sides.

Somehow most, no actually all figures from the Yamato Girls Collection lineup were cursed by massive price drops, it’s strange since the figures are all really pretty, maybe an explanation for the felt, not so big success is that an OVA series can’t reach the same popularity as a weekly anime show, no matter how good it is. Maybe they just produced too many copies.

Cheap figure deals are great, but not for the ones who ordered for full price. MegaHouse still produces new figures for the franchise, so maybe they aren’t bothered by these price drops.

Final Words

This figures always caught my interest, I didn’t preorder her, since I was really busy with putting my preorders over the first quarter of 2014. In the end I’m happy that I’ve bought her.

Makoto Harada turned out as I’ve expected, I was still surprised about her nicely shaped face and adorable expression(s), she’s really cute and has a nice looking body. I like her outfit a lot, the light pink makes her even cuter, also the candy gloss of her suit is also great and very smooth when taking a closer look. Also her jump in the air pose is really nice and appealing.

I also like the figure of Melda Dietz from this Yamato Girls Collection line up… maybe.

Today we will take a look at Kirito’s cousin, Kirigaya Suguha. She’s one of the heroines of Sword Art Online, she didn’t take part in this, but plays ALfheim Online with pleasure.

After a number of delays ALTER released this figure in early May 2014, I review her quite late, but other things came up and Kirigaya Suguha ended at the end of my review queque.

Suguha is scaled 1/8 and is sitting on a veranda with some snacks next to her. A funny or better said interesting fact is her low price, back then I preordered her for 6.080 yen, nowadays you can pay 10.000 yen for such kind of figure. Yeah the good old times *cough*.

The shoulder long hair is very pretty and also quite distinctive with it’s style and the dark blue color, the seam line above her bangs feels a little misplaced, somehow. The figures head is round and has a smooth shape, sculptor Mumei gave Suguha a reclusive facial expression with big cute eyes and a slightly parted mouth she also seems to be daydreaming a little.

These sad eyes are lovely, unfortunately even if I try, I can’t make this figure smile.

The young lady is wearing her workout clothes, a red jersey with a black shirt underneath, below she is wearing very loose blue shorts, that expose some amount of skin. The choice of colors is quite nice and give the figure a sporty appearance. The small and big details on her outfit look very convincing and are very well done. The jersey with the high collar shows many wrinkles, but tightly stretches around her ample breasts, which looks quite nice.

With her foot it looks like she’s reaching out to somebody, while being concerned about covering her crotch with her hands. The bare feet create a natural atmosphere around her.

Her veranda base is an interesting accesory it has a realistic wooden surface, the figure only connects via magnet to it, the other parts are not glued together and can be placed wherever you want, you can also use them together with other figures.

Sword Art Online is an interesting anime, the first season, also the second one leaves many opportunities to trash talk about it, because of questionable decisions or cheesy turn of events, on the other hand it’s entertaining enough to keep the audience at the screen.

On his journey Kirito gets in touch with many cute girls, who develop romantic feelings for him,but in the end it’s always Asuna. Suguha also had no luck with winning Kirito’s heart.

She still has feelings for Kirito, but somehow to accept his relationship with Asuna and also befriend with her. As cute, busty girl she should have no problems with finding a decent boyfriend, but she’s quite shy outside the virtual world. Her friend is also no real option.

Suguha has an above average bust size, as her game alter ego Leafa it’s even more prominent, but this figure accentuates them in a really subtle and modest way, for my tastes it could have been more erotic, like a more pulled down zipper and some cleavage. The part where the figure shows some skin are her legs and the loose shorts that partially reveal her buttocks, The figures butt has been flattened, to make her balanced pose possible, I’m always not so happy about such solutions.

Final Words

ALTER’s Kirigaya Suguha is a nice figure overall, she has a cute face and appealing workout clothes. The craftsmanship is well done, but her sad expression also makes me a little sad, an alternative happy expression would have made her more appealing. Some might not like her expression, others she might not show enough fanservice, but she’s actually very pretty.

She is a compact figure you can carry her around when traveling for example without risking her to get damage, although her clouded expression will limit the kind of pictures you can take with her. Nevertheless I’m happy with her and don’t intend to sell her soon. In case this Suguha caught your attention, you can get her for around 4000 Yen on the aftermarket.

Guess Who’s back?

This longer break wasn’t intentional, I have to blow the dust from my Dashboard.

That was a nice long break wasn’t it? Sometimes its nice to break free from your usual routine and do something else, in my case nothing. to my excuse I thought about doing a post, about my holidays, my Azone Doll or my Kancolle adventures. I decided to make a new figure review.

It´s about my long awaited Sorceress figure, not from Dragon’s Crown but Dragon Nest, just use Dragon with anything and you have a cool Game Title.

Dragon Nest is a free online MMOPRG from Korea, it is available in many regions by now.
Sorceress is an official class inside the game, she is supposed to be a smart and sexy tease.

At first this figure was ought to be an exclusive version for the Chinese market only, after some time some concerns about this were raised, GSC and the license owner made another version available for everyone. I was really happy about this decision, finding a chinese shop for her turned out surprisingly difficult, if not impossible and I really wanted to have her.

I will try to  break a bit away from my usual review pattern, recently I felt the urge to change it with less words, even though this is easier said than done. I guess I failed this time as well.

This Sorceress figure was released on the 2nd July 2014, she is scaled 1/8 with a height of 20 cm she is in balance with other figures of this category. As well as the exclusive Tenshi figure she was modeled by Usagi. The figure shows a detailed face and is rather based on the artwork than the Ingame design, it was this certain aspect about this figure that won me over.

Sorceress is without doubt a very flamboyant figure, with her pointy ear hood and the jagged decorations painted in slightly shiny red, also her eccentric sexy dress is quite an eyecatcher. Her color scheme reminds me of an poisonous insect, so it emits a sense of danger.

Like so often with video game based characters, this figure has certain details, that distinguish her from the general anime look. The most obvious part in that regard would be her face, it shows a more mature feminine charm. This character has smaller eyes, a mouth with accentuated, detailed lips and a pretty chin. In comparison to her slender body the lady has a relatively big head, it is nicely rounded and shows soft, natural looking facial features.

You actually can’t see much of her hair, her hood and her headgear are hiding a lot of it, pink, pointy strands are showing underneath. Not much of shading at the ends, still it looks nice.

Sorceress is wearing an interesting kind of body suit, her top looks really great with these vertical folds, wrinkles and gray color, her butt is fully covered which looks cute from the front though she is not the most modest lady in the realm and shows some more skin all around.

Attached to the sides of her butt she has a cape, maybe because of aerodynamic advantages the amount of material appears quite economic. The insides of her clothes are all painted in camel brown an appealing contrast to her gaudy colors on the outside.

Several elements on the outfit resemble parts of a dragon, like the small wings on her back or the things at her head. Her pretty legs are equipped with stockings, they have a smexy pattern with golden highlights and end in her futuristic boots. With the red heels they suit her quite well and give the figure a dominant accent.

The Sorceress is an attractive lady, she has a slim waist with wide hips, I really like the transition from thighs to hips there, also her ample boobs look very nice. With her hips pushed to the right, knees turned inwards and her bend over torso there is some dynamic tension in the pose.

The small fingers on her right hand are really cute and look elaborate with the other hand she is holding the magical wand. It looks good and the end has a transparent piece incorporated which adds a nice touch to the item. Her small companion is a bat, with the “scars” it’s a plushie or a Frankenstein like creature, the lively bat is also wearing a ribbon around the neck.

As nice a figure can be, being flawless is very rare. As much as I like the Sorceress, the figure didn’t turn out as refined as other GSC figures in recent times, in particular the transitions from the attached parts (cape, arm plates) to the figure could have been a bit smoother.

The different choices of color textures appear a bit distracting on close view. It’s a matter of fact than shiny plastic tends to look cheap, for some reason the pieces on her arm give me that impression, but these are just minor details it is nevertheless a very nice figure with an appealing design and luckily there are no major flaws in terms of craftsmanship.

Final Words

Maybe my initial expectations were too high, but on the bottomline, I like this figure a lot, she has an unusual style and a beautiful expressive face. They also gave her an attractive body  with curves at the right spots. I’m grateful that GSC decided to make this figure available worldwide, there would have always been a feeling of regret if I wouldn’t have been able to get her. I bought her as standard run, not as exclusive run and so her price was fair enough.

When you like fantasy related figures in general this Sorceress should be worth your attention from my side she gets an honest recommendation.
