Today I will start with my first figure review  about my latest figure Hattori Hanzo
The figure itself is scaled 1/8 which makes her 22cm in height and manufactured by Alter.
Her release date was in april 2010 the price was around 8800 Yen.

She is from the anime show Hyakka Ryoran which is airing at the moment

The story takes place in Japan in the early 21st century, in an alternate reality
where the Tokugawa Shogunate has remained in power. In this reality,
student councils are tasked with oppressing schools. Yagyuu Muneakira
is a high school student who rebels against his student council with the help
of girls who’ve had the names of famous samurai heroes passed on to them.

Alter actually has more figures from this show in line Yagyu Jubei, Yagyu Jubei-Swimsuit Version, Senhime,Sanada Yukimura, Sanada Yukimura-Version 2.0 and Gotou Matabei.

As far as I know 7 figure are released or ready for preorder and 3 further ones are planned.
As I saw first pictures of Hattori Hanzo, I really wanted to get her.
So I’d preordered her at HLJ and I was very happy as I received the shipping notice.

Her look is pretty unique,I really like how they mixed her maid outfit with the samurai theme.
Her Outfit shows a mixture of maid uniform and some samurai worrior elements.
The mix of samurai and anime fashion is a very cool feature of these Hyakka Ryoran figures.
What first meets the eye is her skirt which is full of sharp blades, first I thought these blades were made of pvc, too like the whole figure, but they are made of hard and spiky plastic.

Hattori comes with a giant Shuriken like weapon, she is able to hold it in both hands, you can also put other things in her hands, ss you can see in my pictures I put a broom in her hand.

The colors are chosen very well and overall her paintjob is great.
Hattori Hanzo is sculpted very good even all the small details in her face and on the clothes are looking very nice.
Her detailed flying purple hair looks also great, some strands show light black shading.

Her face looks also very good she got beautiful blue eyes and purple eyebrows.
The glasses are adding a nice touch to her, fans of girls with glass would enjoy her look.

The pose is very expressive, due to her Pose its unevitable to look a bit under her skirt.
Then you’ll recognize that her body looks more voluptuous than this of your random Figure.
When you ask me, she has attractive thighs and a nice butt =D

There is one minor detail that bothers me a bit if you put her on a high shelf it will be difficult to see her face.
She is fixed to the base with one  bended metal bar, you cen use the metal bar in two directions, so you have the possibility to pose her in two different angles so you can make her look down or look up. When you put it all together for the first time, it’s a bit difficult to put the metal bar and the figure together, but in the end it worked.

Final words
On first view she look s very martial but I think she is beautiful in her own way.
Hattori Hanzo is a cool, very well made figure and Alter did a very good job with this figure.
