Strike Witches – Charlotte E. Yeager by Alter

Stand to attention! Good morning recruits, today I’ll show you a review about ALTER’s Charlotte E. Yeager figure, this figure is scaled 1/8 with a height of 230 mm and her release date was on 1th July 2011. Charlotte E. Yeager is a character from the popular anime show Strike Witches.
On first look Strike Witches is all about young witches who are fighting against the Nazi’s Neuroi in a World War II setting. The Neuroi invaded europe and the young witches are the only weapon that is effective against these new agressors. These witches are from many different countries, they are all members of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing which is stationed in Britannia. All the witches have special skills to fight the Neuroi aside from their standard weaponry. For flying they are using striker units which are resembling the front half of warplanes from the 1940′s. The witches stick their legs inside of these striker units and are controlling them via magical power.

Review Melissa Seraphy from GSC

Hi mina-san today I will show you a review about a figure which I was searching for a long time. As I started with collecting figures my sources for figure related news were very limited and so it was no surprise that some nice figures slipped under my radar. After some time I was able to find more sites with figure related news and data, like nekomagic and myfigurinecollection.
Often old figures turn out as hard to get especially when you are very interested in them, well you sometimes find these coveted figures for crazy prices at ebay, or if you are lucky you can get them for reasonable and even cheap prices. The sale feature at myfigurinecollection.com is also a good place to aquire rare and older figures. Luckily so I was able to get nearly every old figure I wanted, like Alter’s Reinforce II, Alter’s Al Azif and last month I was finally able to get the lovely Melissa Seraphy from GoodSmileCompany which I always wanted to have in my collection.

New Preorders Part 7

Hi everybody, honestly because of personal reasons I actually feel too depressed to write a new post today, but I better do something than sitting lonely and sad in a corner.
Anyway I ordered enough stuff again to make a decent New Preorder post, not really outstanding or sexy figures this time, but things I really want as well as some goodies.

Misaka Mikoto swimsuit version by Wave

Hello boys and girls today I will show you another figure in a outfit fitted for the beach.
This Misaka Mikoto figure is from the well known Beach Queens line from manufacurer Wave, her release date was in march 2011. Misaka is a 1/10 scaled figure with a height of
160 mm, surprisingly her sculptor is Hiroshi (Sakurazensen) who also made the Saber
~Iron Hammer of the Terrible King Vortigern~ figure, quite the difference XD
On first impression Misaka is a tomboyish looking character with a short temper.
She always tries to hide the fact that she likes cute things and that she is more girlish inside than most people assume, especially from other people she doesn’t know very well.
I would say she’s quite the violent tsundere character sometimes.
Misaka Mikoto made her first appearance in the anime Toaru Majutsu no Index, but the origin of Misaka in this outfit is the spin-off anime To Aru Kagaku no Railgun episode 13. Where the cast of Railgun went to a photostudio to take part in a shooting for a swim suit catalog. The photostudio is very advanced and can create locations in a very realistic way, like the holodeck from the spaceship Enterprise. Later that afternoon Misaka sneaked into the photostudio, took the cute bikini she initially wanted to wear, created a exotic beach location in the studio and let her true self run free, but she didn’t notice a small detail.

This time I will try to keep the post a bit shorter so that you won’t overstress your eyes, or better said my fingers^^.

Anime Winter Season 2011 review – part 1

Welcome to my second review about an anime season, This time it’s about Winter Season 2011, most of the shows I watched have ended and so I will share my impressions with you.
In this winter season I only picked a few shows for watching, because in the last season I watched too many (13!) shows and not all of them turned out as satisfying or entertaining as I had expected and followiing all of them was pretty exhausting. With the shows I’ve picked this time I had a lot more fun than last season, so here are the shows I’ll write about in my Anime Winter Season review:
Toaru Majutsu no Index II, Rio: Rainbow Gate!, Fractale and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?

Magical Record Lyrical Nanoha Force

Today I will write about Magical Record Lyrical Nanoha Force petite nenoroid bundle.
So far I’ve never written a review about my petite Nendoroids, but for this one here I will
make an exception. I like petite nendoroids a lot, but I prefer buying single ones over sets.
The reason behind buying this petite Nanoha nendoroid was, her cool look and of course
the low price of 1600 yen. Instead of the way other single petite Nendoroids are packed,
Nanoha comes in a transparent blister packing, which is inside the box along with the
Manga and character informations book. Continue reading

My anime history post

Intro
Nopy mentioned an interesting project, about writing down your anime history, at his blog and I said that would take part in Nopy’s anime history project, and so I will start directly with my experiences with anime, maybe the timeline isn’t 100% accurate but I tried my best. When I was a little child in the late 80′s, Im from germany and at first we had no pay tv at home until I was ten and so my first experiences with anime were a bit limited, we had Alps no Shoujo Heidi, in my Country it was just called Heidi and Chiisana Viking Vickie called Wicky und die starken Männer. I decided to only torture you with the german opening song from Heidi XD.
