Today I will review a figure called Chouhi Ekitoku from Orchid Seed, this review is partially NSFW.

I started pretty late with adding Ikki Toussen figures to my collection of plastic figures, which is nearly hilarious because the first anime is already 10 years old. The first season was rather bad, but 4 years later with studio Arms in charge, Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny turned out better.

The first figure I received was Kan´u Unchou from Daiki in 2012 and the second one was Chouhi Ekitoku ” Magical Chouhi” from Orchid Seed. There was a longer delay for the figure, but Chouhi finally was released in the end of July 2013. She is scaled 1/7 and has a height of 18 cm. This figure is based on one of the intermission pictures in the Ikki Tousen GG anime.

I like Seito Academy the most, with Kan’u, Chouhi, Koumei and Chou’un and Ryuubi , they are a lovely group of close friends, but also because it’s one of the schools without scheming male jerks. Well in the early 2000 era of anime, such badass boss characters were still popular I guess nowadays an anime like Ikki Tousen would have no characters like this within the main cast.

Chouhi is brave and does her best in supporting her friends, but as B Rank fighter she doesn’t have the power to fight against any of the top fighters, at the beginning she even just had a C Rank. in the anime she will be seen mainly fighting against weaker groups of henchmen.

She can be easily overseen in the cast, since she has no weapon or special moves, her role is mainly a supportive one. Chouhi is tomboyish, loud and has a short temper, but on second view she is a good girl with a big heart. Her delinquent accent is rather funny, she often acts strict towards Ruby to make a better leader out of her, the weakling bookworm.

Putting a tomboyish, 17 year old girl in an magical girl – maid uniform appears rather weird.
Still, I wanted this figure since I noticed it as grey prototype on Wonfes, because it has a certain attraction to it, sure it appears more than out of character, but it does that in a very cute way.

Hair & Face

The short hairstyle is cute, Chouhi has brown even hair which transforms into wildly arranged thorn like ends at the back of her hair. Stronger strands are also framing her eyes, in the middle Chouhi has straight fringe on top she is wearing a pink and frilly maid cap.

She has the eyes of a vicious animal and the look of the character is nicely recreated. With the short hair and the big eyes, Chouhi could also be a mischievous runt, but Chouhi is at least 17.
Her face also shows a deep engraved mouth with strong shading, a tongue and a sweet fang.

Outfit & Body

Chouhi Ekitoku has an odd outfit, I can’t deny that it looks like a magical girl collided with a maid.

The outfit appears like an unhealthy strawberry cake with lots of cream and sugar, it has very girly and cute pastel colors. Especially in the upper regions the outfit is a bit more bulky, take the puffy sleeves for example, the magical maid attire is also decorated with several pink ribbons of different sizes. There is a nice amount of details, like all of these frills on her outfit, the sculpting and overall execution of her clothes is quite clean, without seams or overpainting.

I think it’s a very good figure, but there are a few things about her outfit that I’m not too fond of. The pearl shine stocking and gloves somehow disrupt the harmony of pastel colors a little, they could have used normal colors for these parts. Another thing that bothers me a bit, is that the gloves let her hands appear a little too big for the figures proportions.

The illusion of thin fabric on her panties is really nice, the thin wrinkles and slightly transparent effect gives a nice and nearly realistic touch to it.

I like big butts and I can not lie! ( Sir Mix – a – Lot – “Baby got Back” ) *lol* what a song. Anyway Chouhi is a marginal chubby girl and in her deep bend over pose (not as deep as the illustration implies) her meaty butt comes into focus, when she sticks it out in an ecchi and playful way.

Instead of the usual way of Cast Off, Orchid Seed provided a second torso without clothes, who can be simply exchanged with the other one. It’s easier for the company to make it this way, because less thoughts about designing the clothes have to be made. This method also prevents too bulky clothes, gaps, paint transfer and other involved design compromises.

Chouhi hides a nice body underneath her “magical maid” outfit with happy, nicely shaped boobies, a nice upper back and a nice lower back of course. The figure seems to be more relieved after being freed from her special outfit, I also think that she’s very attractive this way. Somehow her facial expression changed to be much more whimsical and upbeat than before.

The second body is also really smooth you have to look really hard to find the common seam lines on such figures, like on the sides of her body or arms., everything on this figure very clean.

On another note I had a little problem with the castoff, in this case my problem was the excess plastic inside the nude torso and on the connector peg, which prevented the proper connection between.upper and lower body. I had to use some tools to get rid of the unneeded material.

Orchid Seed’s Chouhi is a standing figure, but she is also able to sit on different things like a camera lens, this can be used for a different perspective and interesting posing opportunities.

Final Words

The end is nearly reached, let me say a few things to conclude this review of Chouhi Ekitoku from Orchid Seed. The figure turned out quite nice and it was worth the wait, she is wearing a without doubt very flashy outfit and actually not everyone’s taste, but I knew what I ordered so it’s definitely no flaw. I like the lovely facial expression of Chouhi that shows a lot of personality.

The new implemented cast off method saves time and you don’t have to be scared of breaking or scratching anything. Quality wise Chouhi Ekitoku also knows to convince, sculpting and paint are nearly flawless without any prominent seam lines. The only thing that bothers me is the size of her gloves.

It was really fun to review a castoffable figure after a while. Yeah, I think that I actually wrote too much text and included too many pics, but it just shows that I like the Chouhi figure quite a bit.

last minute orders

Yoshi Hotori from Native – You know, I have this “No pantsu No purchase” rule and even though it hurt, I decided to pass on this figures because of her exposed rear. But Im only human and even my restrain has it’s limits, after MastraCustom, Tier and Bakayaro “rubbed” their purchased Hotori under my nose, I was quite angry that I hadn’t ordered her before like they did. Well, in the end I tried my luck at the german figure shop Yorokonde and surprisingly I got the very last copy for a fair price. I actually wouldn’t have mind the figure to be more dressed, since her nudity wasn’t the thing that convinced me get her. I like the long twintails, the pretty face and the outfit of this figure. I kinda feel dirty though, let’s see if I can display her anywhere.

Yoshi Hotori was released in June 2012 and the figure is scaled 1/7 with a height of 23 cm. This January month actually shouldn’t end with two purchased figures, but it can’t be helped now.

Chouhi Ekitoku from Orchid Seed – After I was kind of dissapointed by the outcome of this figure at first, after a lot of seesaw I gave in and finally ordered magical Chouhi. I rewatched Ikki Tousen Dragon Destiny recently and found quite a liking to it again. I like the wild and loud character of Chouhi a lot and in this cute costume, Im kinda enchanted by this figure. Other than my first impression I really think that she looks like the Chouhi Ekitoku I know. She is cute and a little  naughty, Which as nice combination I like how her pose is focused on her cute butt.

Chouhi Ekitoku is scaled 1/7 and has a height of 18 cm, the figure should have been released in December 2012, but was delayed to early spring of 2013, I guess I should receive her in March.

Cat Lap Milk from Native – I passed on too many nice Native figures which where released recently, partially because of the lewdness of their figures. But this figure should be mine, since she is wearing optional panties, Im relieved. I like maid outfits as well as cat ears, so I didn’t need much time to make this purchase. Cat Lap Milk offers many different cast off stages. It’s really hot how her big boobs with the pointy nipples are pressed on the transparent floor/wall.
This figure looks really naughty with her flushed cheeks and her little tounge out and the whole milk on the floor situation, but I like this figure. It is said that a second pair of boobs for a different display option will be included, even though I don’t know how this will work in the end.

The figure is scaled 1/7 which makes her 180 cm long and 12 cm in height. Like everything from Native, Cat Lap Milk is a exclusive figure that has to be bought with the help of a proxy buyer, the release is sheduled for July 2013.

Okumura Yukio G.E.M MegaHouse – Ah yeah, Waver Velvet won’t be my first figure of a male character, I bought Yukio from Ao no Exorcist, what I really enjoyed to watch instead. Initially I planned on getting his brother Rin, but I didn’t liked how his faces turned out, I guess I couldn’t have looked at it without feeling annoyed after some time. Well, Yukio comes with a kind and handsome bishounen face expression, which was one of the reason I considered this purchase at first. He also has a serious alternative face and also an optional arm will be included.

I think he looks very bad ass  in his black long coat and his Springfield M1911A1 guns. I never expected to get a male figure, but I think it’s worth to give this figure a try. Okumura Yukio is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 23 cm, the release is sheduled for the 29th January 2013.

Jingai Makyo Ignis of the endless winter  from Orchid Seed – I don’t know the Game she is based on, her personality. I haven’t even followed her development at first. But I think it’s a very pretty looking figure, it seems like she’s something special that I didn’t want to miss. I like her elaborate white outfit, that looks like a combination of a wedding dress and straitjacket ;D. Joking aside, I really like so much about her design, red hair, pointy ears and a very pretty face. Ignis is also castoffable, the transparent bodytight is quite sexy and she has pretty boobs.

Whatever silly game happened between AmiAmi and Orchid Seed during the last year, on the bottomline AmiAmi is selling Orchid Seed figures again. In my “The figure year 2012 in numbers” post, I find faulty that I haven’t bought enough Orchid Seed figures, that should hopefully change in 2013, maybe they can finish one of the big Sonico’s. This figure of Ignis was accounced three years ago and now her release is sheduled for the end of February 2013.

I’ve ordered a GK figure

Mashiroiro Symphony – Sena Airi from Gathering/E2064 – I rember that I saw this GK a few years ago and I wanted it quite badly, one proxy tried to grab one for me but it didn’t work since the GK was sold out in seconds. A few more months later this proxy offered me the unfinished GK, but 160$ appeared a bit much to me. At the end of this year I saw this finished GK of Sena Airi at E2046 for a fair price. I gathered all my courage and hit the order button, partially because I wanted the figure that I couldn’t get a few years ago, let’s call it delayed gratification.

Mashiroiro Symphony has a lovely characterdesign and very pretty schhool uniforms and I like how it was adapted in this GK figure, let’s hope that she comes close after these promo pictures in the end. Sena Airi is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 21cm, they could give me no info about a release date,but it shouldn’t take too long, so Airi should arrive somwhere this year.

Nisemonogatari – Karen Araragi from GSC – Here is the lovely Karen on a steamroller, but wait holy shit! her retail price is around 11238 Yen, I don’t know what about her is worth that much money. It’s a nice figure but c’mon. Anyway her release date is sheduled for July 2013.

Racing Miku 2012 version from FREEing – Yeah that’s the latest Racing Miku figure and she turned out rather cute, I think her wide face is really cute, the upper front teeth line is so nice. I like the design mix of space princess and grid girl a lot, she is showing a lot of skin, even more with her transparent parts. She is scaled 1/7 and has a height of 26 cm, her release date is sheduled for June 2013. The retail price is 12190 Yen *lol* whats up with these prices recently!?

Surprisingly this figure won’t be produced by GSC, it’s a collaboration of Dragon Toys (Daiki Kougyou) and FREEing. I find Racing Miku 2012 quite appealing and I will consider her purchase.

Se Kirara – Kawamura Yuu from Max Factory – A more possible purchase may be the enchanting Yuu from the Se Kirara game, as I saw her yesterday morning I fell in love with this lovely figure. There is so much life in this dynamic pose and look at that beautiful face of her.

Yuu is scaled 1/7 and has a height of 21 cm, her release date is sheduled for May 2013. With a retail price of 7429 Yen she’s rather cheap compared to these other two. I love you Yuu.

preorder roadmap

Time for new preorders, this time I just ordered 2 new figures, but a few bigger changes occured with the already placed preorders and I will also talk about the problems of a figure collector.

I looked over my latest list of preorders for this year and I felt that something wasn’t right. It was just too much, it actually were around four figures each month. It would be quite expensive and I can’t write my reviews that fast. So after the Wonfes in July, I decided to get rid of my bad feeling and canceled three figures for the sake of precious shelf space, money and freetime. Sometimes canceling is also part of the figure collecting hobby. We order our figures many months in advance and while waiting for their release other pretty and interesting figures appear.

Of course you should know which figures you want to have, but the no cancellation policy many Japanese figure shops have is very inconvenient (even though when they make exceptions). One more cancellation this year and AmiAmi might ban me. Well, I actually just canceled 6 orders there in the last two years, but I understand that is annoying for them to have indecisive and erratic customers . Have you ever canceled a few more figure orders?

I canceled the following figures

Blanc Neige from Orchid Seed; I don’t know if I should have done this since outfit pose and base looked very pretty, but I guess I wouldn’t liked the figure without rosy cheeks on her face.

Takamachi Nonoha from Ques q; I still think that this Nanoha is very cute, but after I’ve heard not many good things of the figure which have been released recently by Ques q I better pass.

Hinako from AmiAmi zero; I was seriously sick of all these delays that occured with this figure and the pictures I’ve seen of her lately weren’t convincing to me anymore either. I might regret this decision, but for the time being I feel very relieved.

In case I’ll really regret some of my decisions there is always the aftermarket and AmiAmi’s new pre-owned items section.

This month I was hit by two unexpected delays, first the 1/6 scaled Kan’u Unchou and then the Hatsune Miku Cheerful Japan! Support version was also delayed. I already expected Anarchy Stocking and Yagju Jubei, but now I can expect to receive 4 figures in September, how funny

*haha* There was stil no info about Nagisa’s release date

In November and December I still have no preorders out of two reasons, first so far there will be nothing I would really like to have in these months. Second Im more interested in the figures from the Summer Wonfes which will come out in 2013.  Now to the few preorders I’ve placed.

Louise … de la Vallière – Uniform version -1/8 – Alter

I already complaint a few times about the lack of Louise figures that match my image of the cute tsundere magician. She’s one of my 2D girl favorites, but I never got any figures of her However this one from ALTER must have slipped under my radar, maybe because she is already from 2009. Anyway thx to the very nice pictures of Rubee I noticed the figure which comes quite close to my image of Louise. I was able to get her for a fair price. The seller promised to mark her package as gift, but the customs snatched the package nevertheless. Time to pick her up ^^.

Takamachi Nanoha – Swimsuit version – 1/6 – Alpha Max

Haha I canceled loli swimsuit Nanoha to get the adult swimsuit Nanoha what is wrong with me ;D Well, Alpha Max left a good impression with their Gravure Swimsuit figure from Sonico, that I received a few weeks ago. I already had her prototype on my list, so I didn’t hesitate to place my order for this figure in a few seconds as soon as I noticed that she was availabe for preordering.
I think this 1/6! scaled figure does justice to the appearance of adult Nanoha character, I really like her gentle smile and the huge sidetail. She will be released in February of the next year.

what Im looking forward to …

This figure is called Leviathan, she is an exclusive figure from Hobby Japan in collaboration with AMAKUNI. Leviathan is scaled 1/8 and will have a height of 22cm, the base will add 8,5cm to the height.  Leviathan is sculpted by Hiroshi and this time AMAKUNI is in charge of Leviathan, the next figure from The Seven Deadly Sins lineup. On August 25th this figure can be preordered.

Since I saw the illustration of her I know that I want the figure. Leviathan has the appearance of a cute, yet rebellious punk rock girl. Im a big fan of her outfit and the overall presentation of this character. Orchid Seed won’t work on her unlike on Asmodeus,  but nevertheless AMAKUNI also equipped their figure with a cast off option. I can’t wait until tomorrow (>◡<)

Touwa Erio  – scale: 1/8 – manufacturer: CM – release date: August

Im quite curious about the outcome of this , even though I expect no wonders of CM. Anyway this a cute sculpt and her face seems to be nice as well. Maybe this Erio will hit the bargain bin.

Ignis – scale: 1/7 – manufacturer: Orchid Seed – release date: October

She also was in the last maybe baby list, maybe I should get her soon. Its a really nicely sculpted figure with a good looking outfit and also the color combination is quite appealing.

Suzuhara Misae – scale: 1/7 – manufacturer: Native – release date: October

Yeah, Yeah I know the preorder Deadline is already over and I probably won’t get her anymore, but nevertheless she would have been a great figure here in my room. It is a nicely sculpted angel with a beautiful face and convincing female attributes ^^

Amami Haruka  – scale: 1/7 – manufacturer: Kotobukiya – release date: October

I liked Haruka a lot in the Idolmaster anime, this figure adaption from Kotobukiya’s Angelic Island lineup captures her cheerful and positive personality very well, but I’d rather have a figure of her in a more casual outfit. But her happy open mouth is so adorable

Chouhi Ekitoku – scale: 1/7 – manufacturer: Orchid Seed – release date: December

I don’t know  anymore how long I’ve waited until the figure was ready for preordering. I had high expectations, but felt rather dissapointed by the outcome of magical Chouhi. Somehow her eyes look rather odd, maybe a bit too pale. Argh it feels so stupid, I was really looking forward to it, but now I have only unmatched expectations. Well her butt is still nice, but I won’t order a figure just for a nice butt. Maybe Im just too picky, hopefully further pictures will convince me until December.

Tenshi – scale: 1/8 – manufacturer: GSC – release date: January 2013

I don’t even like Angel Beats! but I like pure girls in cute summer dresses This new figure of Tenshi is convincing on her own. Barefoot and wings Im looking forward to this figure. At Wonfes GSC confidently announced her early release date, but I doubt that there will be no small delay.

Akasa Akari – scale: 1/8 – manufacturer: Alter – release date:  in 2013

Ok these two figures here have no fix release date so I anticipate quite a bit.  Akarin! … , since I started to watch Yuru Yuri a month ago I fell in love with Akasa Akari , she is such a cute and good girl, no matter how cruel the world is around her, she never looses her cheerfulness. She wears a plain school uniform, but with such a sweet face everything would look good on her =)

Melty de Granite  – scale: 1/8 – manufacturer: Alter – release date:  in 2013

Yes a Shinning Hearts figure from Alter,  it was a shallow anime overall, but at least the characters were cute. This figure seems to turn out quite pretty and elaborate. All these details on this Melty and her dress just look stunning and the base turns the whole figure into something enchanting.

Hi fans of bishoujo figures, an awesome event, that every passionate figure collector was looking forward to happened on July 29th, this summer, it was the Wonderfestival Summer 2012.

There all of the Japanese figure manufactures presented their upcoming figures and revealed their plans for future products. I was very excited about it and after I’ve seen all this super nice figures I’m quite happy, it was one of the reasons that this post is a rather long one.

Is it just me or had we a lot of better figures than on the Winter Wonderfestival, anyway here are the figures that triggered my interest divided by manufacturers in non alphabetical order.

Alter

From the Altair line up there surprisingly was a figure of Waver Velvet, the master of Rider in the Fate/Zero story. I don’t have male figures at all in my collection, but I admit that Waver was kinda cute and likeable. The figure of Waver Velvet is scaled 1/8 and is scheduled for 2013.

The unpainted figure of Mirakurun already caught my interest. She is apparently not based on the cosplaying Chinatsu, but she’s the real deal from the tv show the girls of Yuru Yuri watch. It’s a cute magical girl figure and I like the design. Mirakurun is scaled 1/7 and will be released this year. Alter will also make a figure of Akaza Akari my favorite Yuru Yuri character, her personality and mine are quite similar, only partially of course. The figure has a rather plain school uniform, but face and pose are enchanting. She is scaled 1/8 unlike Mirakurun and is scheduled for 2013.

From Shining Blade we get this awesome Mistral Nereis, the Wonfes before she was presented with a closed mouth which I liked a bit more. Well, judging from the features of their recent figures, a second head option might be possible. Aside from that it is a great, dynamic figure. She’s also quite busty if you haven’t noticed. The figure is scaled 1/8 and scheduled for 2013

GSC has an epic motorbike, but ALTER has the more athletic bike and the hotter girl on it. Amane Suzuha from Steins:Gate was a surprise for me. With the close resemblance of the Huke artstyle she looks kinda scary unlike her sweet anime version, but take a look at this level of detail. The figure is scaled 1/8, the prototype is painted but no release date has been announced.

Alter is slow with the Bakemonogatari figures, but isn’t this Sengoku Nadeko figure not worth the wait? A very playful pose with a twinkling face, she comes fully dressed with trousers and a cool hat. Sengoku is scaled 1/8 and is scheduled for a release in 2013. A nice GSC vs ALTER

From the unknow, at least to me light novel Mahou Tsukai no Yoru, we see the magician Aozaki Touko again. You also might know her from Tsukihime and Garden of Sinners. A very attractive and proud pose befitting her character, the dress willl be dark green in the final product. This Aozaki Touko is scaled 1/7 and the release is scheduled to happen in 2013 as well.

Orchid Seed

Orchid Seed surprised with a whole lot of grey prototypes, they’ve put a number of their only illustration status figures on display there. Well they were reserved in announcing release dates.

The Queens Blade drill instructor Alleyne was also a surprise for me and OS decided to make her in an impressive 1/6 scale, an 1/6 elf girl (❁´◡`❁) what could be better. Alleyne is wearing her leaf swimsuit and has a slightly wet look from bathing in a lake. The figure will have a height of 270mm and the release date is sheduled to happen in 2013.

An ecchi girl like Panty Anarchy should be made by a company with the same tag. The bold Panty is presented in a naughty and quite teasing way, captured while pulling down her underwear as fast as she can. I really like necktie and the flow of her hair in combination with her nice smile.
The Panty Anarchy figure is scaled 1/8 a release date wasn’t announced so far.

Twintails, glasses and busty, there are several reasons for liking this Cover Girl  from Comic Megastore magazine, Luth rubbed this nice one under my nose. She looks good and has an unexpected elaborate base in form of a bookshelf, a drawer and pillars of books. Cover girl will be scaled 1/7 a release date wasn’t announced so far.

Another figure which is also based on a cover of a magazine is the summer holiday themed Push!! Cover Girl I already loved the illustration, but the prototype turned out really cute and pretty, I love her hat, the hair, the face, as well as the sculpting of the body and the clothes.
I like this one a lot. Push!! Cover Girl is scaled 1/7 as to be expected no release date was issued.

Chouhi Ekitoku, a character from Ikki Tousen was a figure I was waiting for 2 or 3 years since illustration only state, I was quite happy as I learned that her colored prototype was going to be presented on this Summer Wonfes. Well she didn’t really turn out like I imagined or maybe the few pictures which were taken weren’t good enough. The skirt is too long and overall Chouhi looks rather chunky in this dress. Well, I still like her, but Im not as enchanted as expected.

Three words for the Super Soniko – Sonicomi PKG version YES! YES!! YES!!! Bikini, star patterned pink stockings and heavy boots, thats already ordered hell yeah! She has a rather calm but still sexy face expression. I also like the standing pose of her a lot, I don’t always need something complex space consuming. Sonico is scaled 1/5 and will hopefully be released in 2013.

Orchid Seed is not all about T&A and here we have the GK adaption of Flandre Scarlet from Touhou. Im curious to see how this will turn out in the future. There also was another GK adaption of a Touhou character named Hijiri Byakuren. It’s nice to see that more companies adapt such lovely GK and turn them into affordable and complete and painted PVC figures.

Max Factory

Max Factory  also makes Lineage II figures now. I already have the cute Dwarf class figure from Orchid Seed, but a beautiful Elf would also be nice ^^ Max Factory also made a Dark Elf, but  I really like the design of this pretty Elf. She is scaled 1/7 and will be released somewhere in 2013

A character unknown to me was also presented, she is called Inaba Himeko and is from the newly started anime Kokoro Connect. She looks so cute and enchanting with her face and the ribbon at her shirt. Himeko will be scaled 1/8 and probably released next year.

There was also this figure of the kind and weird Kurokami Medaka from the anime/manga Medaka Box, she resembles the artstyle of the anime very well. The eyes and the mouth are really nice and give the figure a cool striking look. The uniform looks good as well and I like the way her cleavage is sticking out. This figure is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 205 mm.

Megahouse

Oh look another standing Kurokami Medaka in her extravagant school uniform, ok they are a little different. I like the face of this one a bit more, it has a more of a bishoujo feel to it than the one from Max Factory. Well on a certain magazine scan it looked really, really bad, but the figure they’ve presented at their booth looked 100% better and I like it quite a lot. Medaka is scaled 1/8 and has a height of 200 mm. It’s difficult to say which one is better, which one do you prefer?

Freeing

Sonico still expands her popularity, I secretly decided not to buy every figure of her, but I really want want to have all the nice ones ^o^ Here we have this good looking Sonico – rabbit ear version and you know what, she is scaled 1/4!! This figure portrays a happy Sonico in a frilly and attractive maid outfit, she is so cute I can just love her. But where too display this darling?

Freeing had a grey prototype of her last Wonfes, but now Takamachi Nanoha from Mahou Senki Lyrical Nanoha Force is here painted and proud. Even though I know that Freeing figures doesn’t always have the cleanest sculpting and paintjob on their smaller scale figures, but this cool 1/8 scaled Nanoha looks very good and surprisingly the release is still planned for this year.

Gift

Gift presented a Fate Testarossa as match for the Nanoha which will be released this month. Both are from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st where they are still very young. Fate looks like a seductive loli, long hair big eyes undeveloped curves put in a skimpy bikini and with Bardiche in her mouth. She looks even more borderline than the innocent Nanoha.
You can also look at her with a neutral mindest, she is a nice figure of a cute young girl in a nice pose, I like how she is holding her towel. Fate is scaled 1/4 and is scheduled for a 2013 release.

GSC

I don’t want to hurt the feelings of the people who own the first version of Tenshi from Angel Beats! , but this new one is just stunning and looks so elaborate in comparison. Tenshi with her wings looks innocent and simply beautiful with her bare feet and the flow of her summer dress and the pose just look nice. Angel Beats! is a tad older, but nevertheless it’s a very promising figure. Apparently she is scaled 1/8 and will already be ready for a release in January 2013.

Insane Black ★ Rock Shooter  looks awesome in various ways it’s an really impressive looking sculpt with a dynamic pose and a lot of details. It is just an 1/8  scaled figure, but it seems like it will need a lot of shelf space, maybe too much. This figure is scheduled for a 2013 release.

There also was a figure from Nisemonogatari  one of Koyomi’s sisters Araragi Karen, I really started to like her during the anime. The figure looks quite nice in regards of  a cute and energetic face expression, pose and overall sculpting the yellow outfit might look great in the final product. The figure will probably be scaled 1/8 and you can expect her to be released somewhere in 2013.

Kyahh! A loli elf. no, a cute loi elf , she is called Lysette Kalar and her origin is Rance Quest.
I really think that she is super adorable and Im really curious about how she will look as painted prototype as it will decide about my purchase. The release date of Lysette Kalar in January 2013.

Oh no! there was no hint of a scaled Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse figure in the super cool combat suits at all, maybe this is one of my disapointments on this Wonderfestival, there is only a Nendoroid of Takamura Yui in her suit. The release can be expected in 2013.

Native

I paid more attention towards figures of Native recently, in most cases a purchase would be out of question for me since they are too ecchi. From their booth I liked the figure based on a original created character named Cat Girl. The waitress outfit and the bendove pose close to the floor with stretched out tongue pose is super alluring and the sculpting looks excellent. The illustration with the milk on the floor is very suggestive and a bit dirty, but I like this sexy figure overall. Surprisingly for a figure of Native she is wearing panties, so Cat Girl is my must have.

Kotobukiya

Female figures in fancy dresses wielding big weapons are cool. Kotobukiya also agrees about that and presented a standing Sakyua from Shining Blade. With her dress she is goes under the name “Fire version” I think sh will look great in her red dress with the nice cleavage. Im also a fan of her sadistic smile. Sakuya sama is an impressive 1/6  scale, the release is sheduled in 2013.

It seems like Kotobukiya is the only well known figure manufacturer that produces scale figure of Sora no Otoshimo. This is actually their second Nymph. In this standing pose which pulls more attention to her dress Nymph looks very cute with her flowing twitails and the transparent wings. To me she appears like a 1/8 scale figure. The release should occur somewhere next year.

I like Fate Testarossa, but Im actually not a fan of her. Nevertheless this might the first figure of her that is very appealing to me. She is posed in a dynamic flying battle pose with a shouting mouth from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st. This Fate looks cute and badass at the same time I also like the details of her outfit quite a lot. Release is in 2013.

Yamato

Look another Sonico from the Creators’ Labo line up. Here she is playing with a cat and is teased by perverted cat as well, she is sculpted in a lying pose, her style looks similar to the first one presenting her in a more model like than slightly chubby way. I planned not to buy more figures of her in an unhappy or teased looking state, but maybe this one will be funny and cute enough to make an exception, the accessories also look cute. further details haven’t been issued.

Griffon

The pose was nice, but unfortunately the face of Sena’s GSC couldn’t convince me, the same goes for the one from Megahouse. Surprisingly there was also a figure of Kashiwazaki Sena announced showing her in the Monster Hunter version  from a certain episode of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai anime. So far it’s just illustration status. Im a bit sad that it will be made by this company, but before I judge this figure lets wait for the painted result maybe in 2013.

This should conclude my “little” post about the nice figures of Wonfes Summer 2012, of course I won’t buy everything I’ve listed here, but a few figures will definitely find a place in my collection.

From my point of view it was a great event, I had high expectations and they were mainly fullfilled, on the downside there was not a single scale figure from Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? nothing from Muv Luv characters in combat suits and nothing from Cheerleader Sonico either.

A few preorders piled up again and today I will tell you about my latest orders, because of an unexpected figure it got more expensive than I planned. April seems to be a cursed month.
Even more if the Bath Time – Hinako won’t face any more delays. On the one hand Im looking forward to photograph her on the other hand I’m slightly embarrassed by her level of nudity.

At the end of this post I will show you the updated Preorder Roadmap and other appealing figures that are already up for preordering or the ones which were just announced recently.

Treasure hunt preorder

Tamaki Kousaka from Max Factory was released in June 2010 and is long sold out. I’ve actually seen her one or a few years ago, I really liked her cute and innocent appearance but her boobs appeared a little too big to me at that time so I forgot about her. A few weeks ago I’ve seen her again on a certain website and I initially thought that I had to get her no matter what.

Ebay prices were horrible and there was nothing on Mandarake, after a lot of whining on Twitter and MFC I somehow gave up Luckily a week later my friend MastraCustom sent me a note that he spotted this certain Tamaki at Mandarake for 12,000 Yen, a quite fair price so he didn’t had to tell me twice and I took my chance. The additional shipping cost of 3,250 Yen where a kick in the nuts, but I badly wanted this Tamaki. She’s scaled 1/6 and has a kneeing height of 180 mm.

Last Minute preorder

Sandaime Muramasa from Max Factory is already released and I ordered her at the german shop Figuya who still had her up for preordering. As friend of a classic short maid attire I was very interested as this figure was announced, I don’t know much about her origin and even less about Sandaime herself, but oh well the figure already was convincing enough on her own. This figure is scaled 1/7 which will be the same scale as of the Kurono Kurumu maid figure from Orchid Seed that I will probably receive in June. You can never have too many Maids :p

Anyway I actually gave this purchase a lot of thought, I wasn’t sure how her skintone would turn out in the final product and I wanted to see at least one review of her before my final decision. The reviews of Nightmare and Exilehero convinced me to order her, I guess it wasn’t wrong to place another order for April. Nowadays you rarely have the luxury to wait for a review of a figure to decide about a purchase, you have to trust the promo shots or the figure will be sold out.

Regular preorders

Maria Takayama from Max Factory will be released in July, so far she’s my only preorder in that month. Maria can be combined with a Kobato figure which comes in a similar dress, you can get her seperately. Both have their own base, but each is big enough to provide space for these two.

Ahaha oh god the dress is so wrong for a young girl like Maria, anyway I like the cuteness of her face and that she resembles the artwork of Buriki very well, unlike GSC’s Yozora (1st bash).
I can’t help myself, but Kobato Hasegawa appears even more illegal and the somewhat horny face expression doesn’t make it any better. These two figures are ought to stay together, but I guess Maria must stay alone. Well, I have enough 1/7 scaled figures which can be her big sister.

Kan’u Unchou from Daiki Kougyou will be released in August, since I paid upfront for Miku & Nagisa which will be released in the same month, I can afford this 12000 Yen figure without worries. Kanu is scaled 1/6 and has a height of 280 mm not considering the length of her spear.

I know about the flaws of the Ikki Tousen animes, but I became a fan after I marathoned the first three seasons one after another, Hakufu and the other characters kind of grow on me.
There have been a few more appealing Ikki Tousen figures, but this Kanu will be my first figure of that franchise since Orchid Seed hasn’t started to finish their long time on prototype status figure Chouhi Ekitoku. Finally get this figure done Orchid Seed and take my money! (2nd bash).

In general I prefer figures with a cute or friendly face expression, but with her piercing angry look Kanu hit my buttons, she looks so badass and sexy in this figure incarnation. In history there have been bad and very good figures from Daiki Kougyou, I hope this Kanu is one of the first.

Blanc Neige from Orchid Seed will be released in September, surprisingly this one is not castoff able unlike most of Orchid Seed’s figures. On her ice base she has a quite elegant appearance.
Her clothes are also very appealing with the tight light purple suit and the over knee boots.

The face looks a little empty without a slightly trace of blush, I hope this will change in the final product otherwise I would consider to cancel my order for her in case something more appealing will be announced. The figure is scaled 1/7 and has a sitting height of 185 mm. Blanc Neige is sculpted by Arai Kyousuke who also made this  Seena Kanon figure in 2009 for Orchid Seed.

Alisa Amiella – scale: 1/7 – manufacturer: PLUM – release date: July

After I made a good experience with a previous figure from PLUM Im positive about the quality of this up coming figure. Alisa has a good bodysculpt and design, I really like the outfit with the red and black color tone. The face also leaves a good impression, maybe I’ll order her as well.

Nanako – scale: non scale – manufacturer: Orchid Seed – release date: August

Unfortunately I’ve passed on the first color version of this figure, recently a new color version of Nanako went up for preordering, I prefer the texture of the blue school swimsuit and the contrast of the white stockings. The loli figure itself is very appealing and cute, I really consider to get her.

Honma Meiko – scale: 1/7 – manufacturer: Max Factory – release date: August

Max Factory created a very nice and appealing figure of Menma, her style is a little different from the anime, but she’s still Menma. I like the tropical flair of her outfit and it looks great how she nibbles on her popcicle. I have no problems with buying loli figures, but I can’t help myself, this petite and slender Menma looks kind of illegal, something says too young and somethings say time for getting laid XD  Wahh! what am I saying I better pass before I get any weird ideas.

Stocking Anarchy – scale: 1/8 – manufacturer: ALTER – release date: September

My impression on the anime were kinda mixed, but unlike Panty, Stocking always was the character I liked. The wicked angel comes in a super sweet outfit and a vivid blue pink hair color. There is also her big busom and the friendly face expression. Everything about her quite tempting

Bikini Nanoha – scale: 1/7 – manufacturer: Ques q – release date: October

I actually planned to get this 1/4 scaled loli Nanoha from Gift, but in the meantime Ques q colored their prototype from last Wonfes. Nanoha is also wearing a bikini, but I prefer the cute and innocent design of this one from Ques q. I also prefer the adorable face expression and the 1/7 scale fits better into my collection. Preorders weren’t opened so far, maybe soon.
