I’m honestly overjoyed to show you todays figure, Uzaki Tsuki – ushigara bikini version from Wave .
Uzaki Tsuki is the mother of Uzaki Hana, a character from the anime and manga Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!
The anime was all the hype because of main character having a “sugoi dekai” bosom.

I have watched the anime, Uzaki Hana can be quite annoying, most of the time she actually is, when making jokes to her friend Sakurai kun’s expense, but this anime has great comedy moments and that is good.
The figure of Uzaki Tsuki was manufactured by Wave as part of their Dream Tech line, she is scaled 1/7 and measures 22cm in height.
This ushigara bikini version was sculpted by Zuiko and released in August 2022.

It’s quite astonishing that the mother of an anime main character is adapted into an official figure.
Although Uzaki’s mother is a funny character in the story. Because of the evil eyes of Sakurai kun, the friend of Uzaki, she is convinced that he has bad intentions with her daughter and even herself.
Her imagination is running wild and in a lewd direction.

As the manga story progressed more funny events happen, involving all the members of Uzaki family.
It even turned out that Tsuki san cosplays for her husband when he is feeling down, he has quite the special expectations.
Currently the second season of Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! has started, maybe you’d like to check it out.
For her 40 years of age, Tsuki san looks like a bombshell in her skin revealing cow pattern cosplay.
It’s actually a cute outfit. It’s cute that Tsuki feels really embarrassed in that outfit and honestly speaking who would not?

This figure has translucent grey hair with fringy bangs a low tied ponytail, grey doesn’t sound very exciting on an anime character,
but on this half nude figure it’s a good contrast to the pink skin. It’s a cute hairstyle which gives the head a cute round appearance.
The default face of the figure is the one with closed eyes, the nervous and embarrassed face plate is really convincing,
strong blush adds a nice additional color, the eyelashes are nicely painted and the nervous mouth is just lovely.
The figure has exchangeable faces, one is the already mentioned shy and embarrassed one. The other one is more drastic,
as it shows Uzaki Tsuki in a horny masochistic atmosphere with pretty narrow blue eyes and a wet open mouth.

Her neck has a joint, so it’s possible to alter the position of her head to some degree when the hair doesn’t obstruct the direction.
What also increases the overall impression of this figure is the silky smooth skin texture.The figures figures pose is cute and sexy with her leaned forward pose and arm between
her boobs, she tries to hide her sexy body, but to no avail, we can see nearly everything anyway. An important part of the figures pose is that her breasts are spilling over arms,
it’s quite exciting. I like that the figures breasts are soft, squishy and very well sculpted. It’s interesting that they tried to make the figure appear mature.
The breasts are moderately saggy, it’s not completely unrealistic that they look that way.

In comparison with the wide hips, the backside of her upper body is rather petite and pleasing to the eye.The the way her knees are pressed together and also the arched back make the figure so sexy.
It’s an elaborate set from head to toe. The small cow pattern on the bikini and the others parts has been applied with a lot of precision,
tail and headpiece, as well as the metallic golden bell at the choker around her neck are very nice details of the figure There are also fingerless gloves,
her hands are rather small and petite, it’s really sweet.

The thigh highs the strong shading gives it a detailed and realistic tight look. As footwear she is wearing shiny white high heels.
The strong use of skindentation underlines the characters soft and nicely shaped curves, it looks really great around her breasts, the hips and the plump thighs.
The wide hips are really beautiful and the butt is nice, prominent and round, I won’t get tired of admiring it.
The bikini is open at he front, the ribbons seem to have come undone by accident and started swinging around.

With Uzaki Tsuki, Wave has made a lot of progress, the level of detail has been raised dramatically. Uzaki Tsuki – ushigara bikini version turned out very well.
I’m really impressed by this concepts execution and overall craftsmanship. I like that they decided to combine lewd cosplay attire with the body an older, still desirable woman, she is a little chubby and squishy here and there and looks drop dead gorgeous, the figures bodyline is just so beautiful and the sculpt looks great from almost every direction.
The figure is both extremely sexy and adorable.

Today I will show you a very pretty Sonico figure from Wave, after making number of 1/10 scaled Beach Queens, they returned with nice figures recently of much bigger scale and muh nicer quality. Sonico – bikiny style version has been released in November 2020. The figure is scaled 1/7 which make her 21,5 cm in height, sculpted by Zuiko.

The figure comes with a candy pink base with fluffy white plush on top, not really fitting for the beach, but the figure could also show Sonico during one of the indoor gravure idol model jobs.

I actually planned to review the Sonico – Summer Vacation version from Orchid Seed, but after some brawl with Nippon Yasan they cancelled all my orders and I got my money back. Unfortunately I didn’t find a good deal for her afterwards, maybe another time. Thx to all the delays 2020 to 2021 my carefully planned preorders changed a lot. I’ll have to pay several figure orders in these next 2 months, it’s a bit of a bad situation for me, that hopefully ends soon.

The figures face is quite adorable, sparkling pink eyes, blushed cheeks and a happy open mouth. The sculpting of her mouth could have been a bit more detailed, but that is like the only thing to criticize on this really nice bikini figure.

The hair on this Sonico figure is longer than on other figures of her, it’s done very detailed and has a lovely pink to sky blue gradient. Her trademark headphones look extremely detailed and the bow is made from metal.

Sonico also wears a beautiful necklace, as detailed as her nice headphones.

This Sonico reveals a lot of skin, the nearly nude appearance of the figure aside, it actually creates a happy beach atmosphere. Overall she has nice and gentle colors, Sonico has a beautiful skintone, a beautiful body anyway.

Super Sonico the ambassador of thicc/curvy body, back then Sonico was basically the first popular anime style character with a more curvy anatomy who appeals to both men and women, even with her sexy body she always has been portrayed as a friendly and good girl with an innocent personality. Many figures and illustrations have been made, not all are especially innocent. I bought a number of Sonico figures back in the days, but only the ones I liked a lot.

The bikini, as skimpy as it is still is made very detailed, realistic looking wrinkles and a tight fit, it’s a little funny how the bikini top appears to stressed from holding up Sonic’s proud assets.

Sonico’s flirty pose, is quite bold but with such a cute face one can’t accuse her of being lewd. Honestly, the pose is very good, bend over Sonico highlights her beautiful chest before her arms and sticks out her nice round butt. It is a similar pose like the Sonico – Racing version from Max Factory has, but not quite the same.

The boobs and cleavage look very inviting and soft, the illusion of the soft skin is very well done. Her hips and legs also look soft and squishy, the bikini bottom cuts deep into her skin, wearing it for more than a few hours is probably not advisable. I really like the articulations of her arms and the hands that are placed on top of her leg.

Final Words – This 1/7 scaled figure of Super Sonico is nice, Wave did a very good job her, everything is nicely detailed and cleanly done. She was sculpted very well wih a beautiful body line, it shows Sonico with attractive body fat articulated in a sexy pose. The skimpy clothes work very well in combination with the figures body and the signs of weight and stretch limits are visible, which is more fun than it sounds like. Additionally she has very nice hair and headphones, the face is pretty and cute. Alltogether the Super Sonico – bikini style is one of the better Sonico figures and quite enchanting.

There are a number of nice figures that are going to be released around autumn 2019. For me t’s quite hard to decide which one I would like the most. Buying more figures than 15 is definitely out of question though.

Lucoa – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid -Casual Wear ver.

I really like the Lucoa character and this figure of her is a nice adaptation of the curvy dragon. It is quite nice how the 1/7 scaled figure stands there with a cute pose and the main outfit from the “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” anime.
She is announced to be released in August and her official non discounted price is 17.800 Yen *omg*

Emilia – Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World

Well, I rarely seen a show more broken than Re:ZERO XD not because it was bad, but because it’s a story with highly disturbing events. I don’t want get reminded of it. Nevertheless this Emilia looks wonderful and her buddy Puck is the cutest. This Emilia is going to get released in September. Her figure is scaled 1/8 and the official price is 13.800 Yen.

Akagi – DreamTech – Azur Lane [Rakuen no Higanbana]

I’ve never seen a bikini figure with a more perfect psycho expression on the face than this Akagi and she looks great that way. The figure seems to be really nicely sculpted,also pose and outfit look terrific. She is going to get released in September and the official price asked for her is also 13.800 Yen

Super Sonico China Dress ver. – Emon Restaurant Series

Can’t have enough Sonico figures, can I? With this alternative hairstyle and tight china dress the figure looks quite… tasty. She is looking cute and has the obligatory big boobs and wide hips of Sonico. She is scaled 1/7 and will probably be released in October and officially costs 12.800 Yen.

Atago – Manatsu no Koushinkyoku ver. – Azur Lane

I think this Atago looks better than her recently listed sister Atago even though she is way more expensive. The figure has a beautiful head with a great flirty expression and nicely shaped body. The white bikini and beach accessories gives her some elegance. She will be released in October or by the manufacturers habit some time LATER. Officially this Atago costs 17.800 Yen and is scaled 1/7.

Akiko Takatsuki – Midareta Tanaoroshi

Actually this post feels a bit unnecessary, since the figure I probably like the most from the list is Takatsuki Akiko from Daiki Kougyou. It’s an adaptation from illustrator Ojo and I really like the unique facial features of the figure she is is beautiful and a little lewd, I like that She is castoff able, too. my only bothering thing is the towel on her head. She is also going to get released in October With an 1/5 scale the figure is rather big, her price is about 18.000 yen.

You see, I have a few problems to decide to preorder the last figure for 2019.
Whom from the figures listed would be your choice as last figure order of 2019?

The prices became too crazy recently I also think about only ordering 8 figures for 2020, the stress on the budget has been too high for the past 3 months and space is another factor, so I realized that I can’t continue like in the last few years, so the plan is to only order 8 a year, I hope I can endure that ^^

Sonico – 10th Anniversary Wedding Ver.

Yeah, I had to get Sonico, captured in her happiest moment. The sweet bride is scaled 1/6 and with the elaborate dress she is an extremely beautiful Sonico figure, the smile is really lovely and nearly grabs all the attention, still even on the day of her wedding, Sonico chose a skimpy outfit to please her fans. The sculptor also gave her a buxom dynamite body, more voluptuous than usually shown, she has big boobs, delicious thighs and also an remarkable big butt.

Sonico also comes with an alternate expression that shows her with closed and a kiss mouth, there also was a special version with human sized wedding rings and marriage certificate, but I’m not so rich nor so obsessed about Sonico.

Saber – Type-Moon Racing ver

Ah, that Saber is a Saber I like, as Grid Girl she looks very cheerful and cute, I love her expression with the turned eyes and open mouth smile, the breezy outfit looks great on her and reveal a bit more of Saber’s sporty body. The additional Excalibur umbrella is a nice eyecatcher, although there will be the option to pose her left arm differently. It’s actually my first preorder of figure made by the manufacturer Stronger, I’m expecting a really nice looking figure.

Suma May – Issho ni Shiyo

The figure is based on a shorter ero manga scene, but May is so beautiful, that I just had to order her. She is a pretty blonde girl dressed in a super villain like dress. Her slightly flustered and embarrassed expression is great, especially when it is combined with her attractive body that portrays her soft curves which are also accentuated by her dress.

Original Character – Hanasaki Marika

I also have pre ordered this cute and cuddly figure, she has an adorable and great expression and the pink hair has a pretty, rather innocent looking style. The extremely attractive figure obviously has beautifully shaped thighs and a soft and beautiful round butt. I like the figures half nude presentation, with the loose white shirt and somehow pulled up panties, she looks barely dressed or nearly nude, depending on ones perspective. Marika is not only a figure, she also has a complete bathroom wall diorama base and the bathroom lamp also is fully function able.

Original Character – Slingshot Swimwear Girl

The last ordered figure recently looks like a good mannered ojou sama, although the thing she is performing currently are not very ojou sama like. Well, social media offers many ways to express oneself, in her case I won’t judge. She has a pretty, self confident expression and a really stunning body. After I placed my order for this figure, I noticed that I bought a number of this kind of figures recently and started to feel a little ashamed about it, I always had interest in these naughty figures, but I ignore the completely lewd ones though, since they are not that interesting and appealing to me. What I like about the so called “naughty figures” is that they combine elaborately designed expressions with really attractive and detailed bodies, I like both aspects. In my opinion there should be more dressed figures with such interesting and elaborately made faces, too. You can try to look for such figures, good luck with that haha.

Lets take a look at a few selected figures that were recently listed in the shops and left a positive impression. Among the listed items are a few things I totally would like to have, but I have to see how my current pre orders turn out.

Aty – Summon Night 3

I always liked the characterdesign of Aty, the figure adaption from ALTER already was great, but it did not have the sweet expression of this one we are seeing here. Another great aspect of the new figure is the size, Aty is scaled 1/5.

Kanzaki Ranko – Idolmaster Cinderella Girls – Bara no Yami Hime Ver.

This figure of Ranko looks amazing in every regard. Of course, I expected her to be expensive, but she actually turned out even more expensive, that I had to reconsider my preorder plans for her, at the moment I don’t see it happen.

Albedo – Overlord

My first impression on Albedo was not so good, but after a second look, she appears to be very pretty, I still find her pose to be a bit unfortunately chosen, her face seems to be pointing at the cealing, with such a beautiful head the figure should be looking at the viewer. Anyway from a photographers perspective she might be a good purchase.

Mai Kawakami – Myriad Colors Phantom World

Kyahh! she looks so nice and pretty! Mai Kawakamai unfortunately was really used as fanservice machine in the her first episode, even I felt sorry for her ;D In a normal anime you should not sell off your characters like that. She really is a nice girl with a kind personality that deserves a modest figure adaption, too. Frankly speaking the figure also highlights the fanservice aspects, but it’s a pretty figure of Mai with an adorable face, pretty hair and a very attractive body.

Oppai no Kakikata – Hazumi Oomune illustration by Nekoume

The quite busty figure is very charming, the huge breasts are not the only appealing points of her, the character design by Nekoume is quite lovely with the cute face and hairstyle. As additionally feature she comes with this friendly face and a different bashful expression, the figure also has glasses, to my surprise everything about her outfit turned out to be castoffable. I feel a bit shy to add another fanservice heavy figure to my preorders, but she looks so nice.

I admit that I never saw this Jack-O character before, but when I saw the figure I was quite impressed by how cool and pretty she looks, everything about this figure looks really cool and stylish, I like the outfit and her expressive face.

Belphegor  – The Seven Deadly Sins – Maou Mokushiroku

The “Sin Nanatsu no Taizai” anime finally started and it’s more arthouse like, as I would have ever expected, the characters were nicely adapted and bring the figures we all probably bought in the past to life. Did you know the very first figure of them were made in 2013? The later Maou Mokushiroku versions continue to be very interesting and Belphegor looks also very pretty even though or especially in the naughty pole dance context.

Izetta – Shuumatsu no Izetta

I don’t know how it had been for you, but while I followed the war adventures of Izetta I was always worried sick about her, like a parent, I imagined really terrible things happening to her. Fortunately Aoshima / Funny Knights made this happy looking Izetta riding on a machine gun. They really adapted her dress nicely and put her into an dynamic pose.

This cute little maid in skimpy uniform really caught my interest, I just ordered her without a second thought. She has an adorable face with detailed facial features and also cute proportions with average sized boobs and soft curves all around she is a lovely figure.

Super Sonico Nuresuke Satsueikai

It’s been some time since I ordered an interesting Sonico figure or saw one that wasn’t a prize figure. I’m still a Sonico fan and fortunately the figure manufacturers never get bored of. This figure wears a casual street outfit, ok she accidently was hit by water, but what would Sonico be without a bit of fanservice here and there. The figure has a nice big 1/6 scale, DRAGON Toys figures often turn out really nice and this Sonico should turn out great, as well.

Peach Maid – Ami

Sorry I’m a perv (//∇//). Well, the first time I saw this maid figure at the last Wonderfestival, I already knew that I had to get her no matter what. In the first place, Ami has an amazingly nicely made face with a strong expression. On the other hand I also like all sorts of maids, even the half naked ones, I can’t deny that her ecchi bits were also a small convincing aspect.

Senran Kagura NewWave G Burst – Ikaruga – Circuit no Joou

Vertex announced a nice looking big scaled figure of Ikaruga in a skimpy outfit. She is one of my favorite Senran Kagura characters, she is a pretty girl and I also love long jet black hair.
The figure portrays her in a slightly bendover pose as grid girl with battle torn clothes. The characters in Senran Kagura are squishy in the right places and she is no exception. In 1/6 scale her attractive proportions are accentuated nicely, on their official blog Vertex also hinted her top is castoff able. On top of that Ikaruga also has a cute bashful smile.

THE IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls – Ranko Kanzaki Memories Ver.

I know someone who probably ordered this Idol figure at the speed of light ^^. I’m really convinced by ALTER’s Ranko figures, she has a cute face and wonderful red eyes.

Fate/EXTRA CCC – Saber Bride

I really like this figure adaption of Saber Bride a lot, judging from the promo pictures from Hobby Maxx. This Saber looks elaborately desinged with her dynamicly sculpted outfit and the pretty paintjob. I’m also enchanted by her sweet and gentle face. To get this figure with a stylish base you’ll have to buy her at shops like Big in Japan or Nippon Yasan for a little more.

Fire Emblem if – Camilla

Partially I like this figure because of her gorgeous color combination, purple, black and gold. The figure looks very pretty and somehow elegant. Her face also has a kind expression, like a lovely big sister. You know, I totally like these kind of hairstyles that keep on eye hidden.

Sanfujinka Shikeishuu Byouin Jack- Asami Akabane

FREEing adapted a naughty nurse fantasy into a big 1/4 scaled figure, Asamai is a mature woman with a hot and curvy body, apparently she has really big boobs and in general her uniform is tightly fitting. As you can see her body is sculpted and painted in a quite detailed fashion. She also has a quite unique face with a lot of paint which is unusual for figures of that scale. I’m not a big fan of the long and thin nose, aside from that she looks very attractive.

Love Live! School Idol Festival – Honoka Kosaka

Honoka was a bit plain for a leader personality in Love Live! nevertheless ALTER made a wonderful figure of Honoka, following the Love Live! School Idol Festival “tradition” the figure is elaborately styled and her outfit is brimming with details, it makes her something special.

Love Live! School Idol Festival – Kotori Minami

I was happy to hear about the re-release of this cutest Kotori figure, I kind of missed ordering her in the first round. The sheduled release it not the best timing for me though, it should be happened 6 months later. I love Kotori and this figure of her is simply amazing.

Dagashi Kashi – Hotaru Shidare

PULCHRA makes this creative eyecatching figure of Hotaru, chilling in a concrete tube, it looks like a promising sculpt with Hotaru looking like her anime counterpart with a nice face and a detailed outfit. I’m always very picky with figure adaptions from characters I really like, I didn’t like the Hotaru, that Max Factory showed earlier this year. This figure features one of Hotaru’s stylish outfits, I always liked the way she is dressed.

Murakami Suigun no Yakata Original – F-ism Vol.20 F-ism Shoujo

What I really like about this figure are her faces, she actually comes with two different ones. The figure itself wears a pretty shool uniform, though for some reason she is wrapped in funny bondage ropes underneath, I’m not really a fan of it, but I could probably cut it off somehow, if I would decide to really get her. With optional parts you can make this figure more questionable, so I don’t feel too fond of this figure in the end, because it’s all too much, even though she has extremely beautiful eyes. Make a normal figure like that you demons!

Hdge technical statue No.15 GANTZ:O – Reika X Shotgun ver.

Union Creative is a more or less unkown company nevertheless they aren’t afraid of making such a challenging sculpt of Raika in a stunning and shiny black bodysuit. The face looks nicely detailed and attractive. One of the figures striking features is also this nice, plump butt.

Racing Miku 2016 Ver.

This is probably the cutest Miku figure I’ve ever seen, her face shows the sweet curiosity of a cheerful young girl. As far as it concerns me, she is also the prettiest Racing Miku, without any futuristic hullabaloo. She is sitting on a pile of tyres and has a nice and lively articulated pose. This Miku is a very appealing figure with vivid colors and an overall adorable appearance.

Excellent Model LIMITED – Active Raid: Liko

Liko is a kind of mascot from the Active Raid anime, I could’nt bear to watch more than 5 episodes, but it wasn’t the fault of Liko. MegaHouse turned Liko into an expressive figure, very detailed and with nice colors. I really like her pretty eyes and the nicely flowing hair.

Oh My Goddess! – Belldandy – Me, My Girlfriend and Our Ride Ver.

I never took the chance to look at the Oh My Goddess! franchise, a few times I saw a Belldandy figure here and there. Here Belldandy  appears with a new look and artistic sculpt. Clad in a racing suit, she is a cheerful, sporty girl, sitting on a futuristic motobike like flying machine. I like it, the figure looks nicely detailed and the vehicle is extremely interesting.

Taimanin Yukikaze 2 – Rinko Akiyama Pole Dance Ver.

From the lewd ninja saga comes a creative pole dance figure of Rinko, she is a very pretty girl with a buxom body and a huge butt. The figure is really an ecchi gem as far as I can tell. She has an expressive face, a nicely detailed, purple bodysuit and the 1/7 scale is a nice size to show her amazingly sexy body. She also has another torso to display her with bare boobs.

KING OF PRISM by Pretty Rhythm – Taiga Kougami

I like bishounen characters when they don’t look too girly or like one of these womanizer types with pointy chin. Taiga looks so cool also in this nonchalant outfit. Without knowing anything about his origin it’s a good looking figure with a really nice “bad mood” expression.

Gakusen Toshi Asterisk – Toudou Kirin

Ignoring the mainly disastrous second season, I liked Gakusen Toshi Asterisk quite a bit, also for it’s cute character desings. Kirin the shy girl with amazing sword skills was chosen to be the First, but hopefully not last adaption from that source. The attractive figure with it’s nice colors, especially the awesome shade of purple, portrays her serious and athletic side.

Kongou – Kantai Collection ~Kan Colle~

For gods sake I still wasn’t able to get in this stupid online game, even with all the “tricks”. Just how difficult can it be ｡ﾟ(TヮT)ﾟ｡ !!? Even without being able to play the game, I love the visual style of Kantei Collection. Combining a cute girl with a classic battleship from WWII makes you nearly forget about the tragedy that befall this and many other ships. Back to the admirals darling, Kongou looks simply gorgeous, considering that she is only scaled 1/8 this figure is super detailed, the few damage effects on her and the clothes give her some sexy appeal .

 Nitro Super Sonic – Sonico – Beach Queens

As Sonico fan, I just couldn’t ignore this new Beach Queen, Wave sculpted her nicely with all of her convincing physical attributes, just look at her thighs, she’s pure dynamite. I also like the little red crab which will be included .

Ikaros – Sora no Otoshimono Final 

Recently I have finished the manga from Sora no Otoshimono, it ended pretty unspectacular, you should expect nothing from a harem setting in the end. The authors just don’t have the guts to let the main character pick one girl. One of Sora no Otoshimono’ good part is the appealing character design and likeability of it’s characters. Kotobukiya decided to make a figure of Ikaros under their 4 Leaves lable. She looks lovely from head to toe, I just love her puppy eyes. From the backside she also convinces with her detailed braids.

Kashiwazaki Sena – Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT

I ordered this figure as soon as she was available, sure she is huge, but I’m sure that I will like this curvy girl, the sculpting is so well done. Also her face is convincing, Gift did a very good job at recreating the face of Sena with all of it’s details, while other companies failed at it so far.

I’ve been waiting ages for Suguha to be released, at first she was scheduled for November 2013, but now the day of her release is close. The figure has a nice natural sitting pose where she is placed on a cute veranda, I guess she will be a cute companion for outdoor shootings.

Cecilia Alcott – IS: Infinite Stratos 2 – Bunny ver.

As it was already announced at last Wonfes, FREEing is going to turn all IS girls except Houki into large scale figures. I always checked out FREEing’s big figures at Tentacle Armada and thought that they are pretty. Nevertheless, when looking at Cecilia I’m kinda impressed how faithful she is to her anime appearance with blush and a lively expression, she looks quite gorgeus. Let’s hope that there will be no cutbacks on the details in the final product.

Original Character – Kondo Yume

It is mean that Native mixed this adorable cute character design with so much lewdness, ok the illustration was already like that. Yume is really cute, she is petite, pretty and yeah she even has glasses. I like her type quite a bit, there are a number different ways to display her.

These battery powered things in her bag give me the creeps and actually are superfluous for me and I will let them stay in the box. Aside from that, she comes with a mattress and pillows. I’m probably going to order her, even when it takes all of my courage to do so. You can order her from the 25th April 2014 at your proxy of choice or directly from Native.

 
 Taimanin Asagi – Igawa Asagi

Oh I nearly forgot to add Asagi, this is the second figure that I’ve seen of this character. I like the design of her. Her origin is quite  hard stuff, I’m not talking about fights, I took a look in one part, it was not really my thing. Anyway I’m happy that she is made modest in a cool pose

Sonsaku Hakufu – Ikki Tousen

I have a week spot for the latest Ikki Toussen figures from Daiki/Dragon Toy. The latter one made this super pretty Hakufu figure in damaged clothes, I think she would look good next to my Kan’u , both have a similar style and very good body sculpting. This hole in her shirt will be a bit difficult to cover, I assume, that I can worry about that later ;D

Souryuu Asuka Langley – Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Q – Jersey ver.

Thats probably the most fashionable Asuka figure to date, the hat alone is awesome, ALTER included a different posing option to recreate two different, appealing poses. Overall she looks very good and has a cool expression, I would consider to add her to my collection.

Mikasa Ackerman – Shingeki no Kyojin

Ackermann looks really good as figure, she has cool clothes is super detailed and a without a doubt pretty face. Well, even though I like this story Mikasa comes from a lot, strangely I don’t feel much for anyone of the characters.

Better late than never a Nendoroid of Sakura appears, I just watched the whole Cardcaptor anime like two years ago, it’s the perfect example of a very nicely concluded anime. You could order her from the 25th April 2014 , I probably will.

Kousaka Honoka – Love Live! School Idol Project

Love Live is such an entertaining show, there are my animes related to the Idol culture, but Love Live is special. Sparkling animations and character designs, mixed with a number of different, but likeable personalities. GSC chose Honoka as figure to be made, she looks great so far. Actually I like the “big”girl, but the one that steals my heart is the little devil, Nico.

Koshimizu Sachiko – iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls

This is so good, an enchanting yandere type of Idol, I love her cute demonic expression, it’s a rarely used theme, her pose is also unique, I hope the final figure looks as shiny as this.

Tachibana Makoto – Free!  ALTAiR

Well, here we have a sexy boy, oh my I’m watching too many sport anime lately. I never watched Free! for it’s lack of female characters, well I have heard that the female swim coach was pretty. Makoto is not really the bishounen type, but I think he looks pretty cool in this pose and outfit. Preorders haven’t opened so far.

So after a little too long break comes a new figure review. Todays figure is Homura, the gloomy girl with a firearm and other weaponary fetish. Her origin is the all so famous Puella Magi Madoka Magica, where a more or less sad destiny was delivered to every magical girl involved.

Akemi Homura is portrayed as a smart person with a graceful appearance and a cool contained attitude, but actually I never liked her attitude or I don’t like what became of her (episode 10).

A disliking for the character doesn’t automatically mean that I will pass on an appealing figure. One thing really caught my interest, this Homura figure was adapted from a GK figure sculpted by Ousaka Miki. I love GK figures but sadly good GK’s are hard to get and are rarely turned into PVC figures. I want to support such things, in hope to see more such adaptions in the future.

This figure of Akemi Homura was manufactured by Wave and the release occured in the end of June 2013. Wave is very famous for their Beach Queens line, where they adapt the heroines of fresh anime shows in beach attire. These 1/10 scaled figures are of solid, sometimes even very nice quality, they often have moveable neck joints and a nice design overall.

Miette and Exilehero from Otagamers recently proved how photogenic these figures are, great job guys. Btw this was once my Misaka Mikoto, it’s good that the cutie has a sister now ^^

As nice as Beach Queens are, 1/10 is a quite small scale and they have a lack of presence when placed next to larger scaled figures. One of the reasons why I parted with mine after some time.

Homura might be mistaken for another  Beach Queen figure, but surprisingly the figure is scaled 1/8 and part of Waves Dream Tech line. With 1,55 m Homura is a rather small girl, the figure here is 185 mm in height, but for a real 1/8 scale she should be 9 mm taller, but it’s no really big deal. In terms of size and proportions the figure is close to ALTER’s Menma.

Hair & Face

Homura has nice dark brown hair with nice long strands, I really like the bangs in front. The hair is cleanly produced and leaves a positive impression. There is a red hairband with a ribbon on the left of her head. The face is beautifully sculpted and painted, the rounded corners give her a nice appeal. The anime is captured very well in her face, there are attractive eyebrows, lovely blushmarks that really boost her cute side. And Homura’s eyes are as deep as the ocean.

The figure also has a nice little mouth opening, overall her face turned out very pretty. Im not really sure how to interpret her expression, maybe you have an idea. To me Homura seems to be spacing out, there is also a little yandere touch, but also a lot of cuteness can be found.

Body & Outfit

Homura is approximately 14 years old, and as the young teenager she is Homura has a quite petite and skinny body. She is standing straight with her head tilted backwards and turned to the left. This rarely used pose makes the figure quite interesting and gives her a nice touch.
On the downside this pose also gives her some strangles, she is supposed to face the viewer.

Homura has no real female curves, but  she is a quite skin revealing figure, her belly is rather nice as well as the shoulderblades. The sculpting here is also done in a convincing way, she is nearly free of molding lines and these single little fingers are skillfully and cleanly pressed PVC. They could have chosen a lazy way to execute this part of her with no space between her fingers, but they didn’t.

The skimpy rainbow striped bikini is very cute and colorful which adds some contrast to the skin and the dark hair. it’s not a super detailed piece of sculpted clothes, but it’s enough to create a pleasing sight.

Final Words

So what are my final thoughts about this Akemi Homura from Wave, Im quite satisfied with her. The face is very detailed and makes a cute figure out of her. I also like her unique and kind of fascinating pose. One thing I learned again was, that I don’t necessarily have to like the character to appreciate a certain figure, when the design is nice and appealing for me and this GK adaption definetely was something I like. Of course there are more cheerful and curvier swimsuit figures, but Moemura manages to convince with her interpretation of vulnerable cuteness. It’s good to see a figure from Wave which is not scaled 1/10, while she’s still not a real 1/8 scale, Homura doesn’t look awkward when being placed next to other 1/8 scaled figures.

Hello boys and girls today I will show you another figure in a outfit fitted for the beach.
This Misaka Mikoto figure is from the well known Beach Queens line from manufacurer Wave,her release date was in march 2011. Misaka is a 1/10 scaled figure with a height of
160 mm, surprisingly her sculptor is Hiroshi (Sakurazensen) who also made the Saber
~Iron Hammer of the Terrible King Vortigern~ figure, quite the difference XD

On first impression Misaka is a tomboyish looking character with a short temper.
She always tries to hide the fact that she likes cute things and that she is more girlish inside than most people assume, especially from other people she doesn’t know very well.
I would say she’s quite the violent tsundere character sometimes.

Misaka Mikoto made her first appearance in the anime Toaru Majutsu no Index, but the origin of  Misaka in this outfit is the spin-off anime To Aru Kagaku no Railgun episode 13. Where the cast of Railgun went to a photostudio to take part in a shooting for a swim suit catalog. The photostudio is very advanced and can create locations in a very realistic way, like the holodeck from the spaceship Enterprise. Later that afternoon Misaka sneaked into the photostudio, took the cute bikini she initially wanted to wear, created a exotic beach location in the studio and let her true self run free, but she didn’t notice a small detail.

A few month ago it would have been unthinkable that I would have bought a figure of Misaka Mikoto in fact I disliked her in Toaru Majutsu no Index, mainly for her Touma hating personality and her furious rage attacks out of nowhere. In To Aru Kagaku no Railgun I disliked her less and just in Toaru Majutsu no Index II I began to really like her, there she appeared a lot more likeable.

As this Misaka figure was announced I wasn’t that impressed by the official pictures of her, “unfortunately” haha ok not really unfortunately ;p MastraCustom from mfc posted a really nice picture of her so I became head over heels about Misaka and wanted to get her badly, on the big figure selling sites she was already sold out, so I’ve bought my Misaka copy on ebay.

The pose of Misaka shows her happy girl side very well, I really like how she lifts her slender arms in such a playful way, together with the lovely face expression this Misaka figure creates a very joyful atmosphere no matter where she is placed, thanks to the comic look of her origin this figure has rather big eyes and a big mouth despite her being only an 1/10 scaled figure, these characteristics are noticeable even from a distance, which leaves a good impression.

Hair

Her short hair shows a gradient effect from light too dark brown, the strands are sculpted in a very clean way. Also the flower clip on her head is a nice and cute detail. At 2 small areas is a slight scratch on the hair it is only noticeable from very close view, but they are there.
The hairstyle is limiting the moveability of her head quite a bit, because her shoulders are in the way, but the moveability is sufficent enough for playing around, this H-neck is a nice feature of these 1/10 scales figures from Wave.

Face

Her face looks just too cute ^-^, either figures with wide open mouth look good or some kind of retarded, in case of Misaka it’s the definetely on the good side, the upper fron teeth line is a nice detail at her mouth. Eyes and mouth together create an enchanting and happy face expression. There was also was a limited Misaka with three different faces, but this standard version I’ve bought comes with two faces, the second face, shows Misaka with a “ewwwww” expression, it is really funny, but the happy face is the best for her. To change the faces you just have to take off the bangs part and pull the face out and exchange it with the other face.

Body & Paint

This figure also has a well sculpted body, Misaka is rather tall and not what you would call well endowed, but nevertheless I think she’s a quite a pretty girl or as Kuroko might say…

Outfit

This bikini has a very cute design, which resembles the bikini from her origin very well, as you might see it’s a light pink colored two piece bikini with frilly layers and dots on it. The production quality of it looks very good, and on top of that Misaka looks just extremely cute in it.

Final Words

This Misaka is incredible cute, her big eyes together with her playful pose just melt my manly heart. Misaka is definitely one of the nicer figures from Waves Beach Queens Line, if not one of the best ones. The sculpting of her body and the bikini looks very good from nearly every angle. On the downside my Misaka figure has a small bumby looking area which I guess comes from the molding process and another things is that the pegs of her base fit a bit loose into the two holes under her feet. Without these two flaws I would have been more satisfied, but the positive sides of this figure are on the majority and so Im really happy that I’ve bought her.

Misaka can swap heads and body with other 1/10 scaled figures from Wave, here I’ve used the body of Asuka apron version. BTW my Asuka apron version is for sale, she’s in top condition, comes with all accessoires and box, just ask me if youre interested, I’ll give you a good price ^^

Hallo boys and girls, today I will review this cute Kagami Hiiragi, it’s another figure from Wave’s Beach Queens.
She is a 1/10 scaled figue manufactured by Wave and has a height of  120cm.

Her origin is the famous anime Lucky Star, a funny slice of life comedy. I have a amusing memory , as my dad bumped into my room during the crazy opening. I don’t wanna know what he was thinking at that time but it was very funny. Kagami is my favorite Character from Lucky Star I always liked her more feminine and tsundere side a lot. Kagami is sculpted after this illustration. Wave also made a Beach Queen figure of Konata which is nearly as cute as Kagami, but I didn’t ordered her. They look very good together and can be placed like in the illustration.

Kagami comes with a lot of accesories, she has two interchangeable hairstyles, you can choose between the more common Twintail and the cute Knots. Kagami also comes with a popcycle ice which she can hold in her hand and a  swimring which you can hang over one of her arms.

WAVE is none of my favorite figure manufacturs, but I ordered Kagami because the official shots looked very promising. As I opened the box this figure surprised me a bit, she isn’t just totally cute, shes also very well sculpted and painted. The nice hat from Azone isn’t included in the box.

Typical for Lucky Star characters are big heads, so despite from her small size Kagami’s face has enough place for details she has detailed eyes with blush marks and an open mouth.
The main feature of the Beach Queen’s is the “H-Neck”, a ball joint at her head which allows you to change the direction and angle of her head. Its a nice feature for playing around, don’t do it too roughly or you have her head in your hand. But even when that happens you can easily put it back into place.

I like the texture and the shading of her hair it looks very nice and resembles the pastel look from the anime quite well. The bikni top has some nice little stars printed on it, the wrinkles on the top let the sculpt appear more lively and give it a more realistic look.

For the shooting I’ve used a printed out picture of a beach scenery as background, a 1/35 scaled palm tree which I’ve build beforehand and 2 kg of sand for the proper floor. I considered to do an outdoor shooting, but I had no beach nearby and the weather sucked as well.

Final words

Kagami is a cute and small figure, which is nice and clean sculpted, the pose is also very nice and her body has some petite proportions. The hair also looks very good, the interchangeable hairstyles are a nice extra. Her twintails are nice, but I prefer the hair knots which are supporting Kagami’s cuteness more. One minor critique point is the swimring, I’d prefered it if the swimring would be made of soft plastic instead of hard plastice. So far I’ve sold every figure after some time from WAVE I bought, but I will keep Kagami for sure.
